We stopped at Cheers Park Ave for lunch because we've only been here once previously for drinks. Anyone who knows anything about us knows we're passionate about music. So the first time we were here, the album cover paintings stood out to us. Of course I know all of them and love many of them but per usual, anywhere that features artwork for King of Pop Michael Jackson is immediately good in my book! I started with a Mocha Martini, which is basically adult chocolate milk and I am totally OK with that. For lunch, I ordered their Big 1/2 Burger w/ Fries because it's been a while since I've had a burger. The offer toppings but I'm a plain burger person, thus the photo with only cheese. It's a really solid burger with a great brioche bun. The fries were seasoned well but not super crispy so I didn't eat a lot of them. My wife ordered the BLT which should come as a shock to no one. I'm reasonably that anyone could look at the photo of the BLT and not need to read a review. She loved it. Her only mild critique was that she thought there was a bit too much tomato, but that's easy enough to dispense with so no biggie. I'm glad we ate here this time. read more

I've been coming to Cheers Park Avenue off and on for years. Took a break for a while, but after a meeting with the guys I decided to drop in and see how it felt. My old regular behind the bar, Reef, wasn't there anymore. Probably just a shift change, but I missed walking in and having my beer waiting for me. My friends were already set up with their longnecks when I got in. I think her name was Justine and she was working the bar, but it seemed like she was everywhere except pouring drinks in front of me. To be fair, she was hustling and handling a busy crowd, but it felt like forever waiting to be noticed. Honestly, I don't think she ever poured a drink for me the whole night. Luckily the bar back kept me taken care of, and I hope he's seeing some of the tips because he was the one making sure I wasn't empty. We ordered some wings and they were still great. The hot wings here always hit the spot, especially with the game on. The place itself hasn't changed much. Loud, full of energy, TVs all around, pool tables going, arcade golf in the corner, and the jukebox always adding to the noise. Not bad, not great. The wings reminded me why I liked coming here, but the service lag took the shine off. Great food and just like the name implies from the old show. Good service with a smile and a great atmosphere. They have events during the week with poker or live bands. There is pool and darts on site and a nice heated patio out back when it's cold, but you still want some fresh air. read more

Service was good but not the best compared to many other establishments I've experienced. Started out quickly but begin to decrease from there. The bar was full at 18:30 (not surprised) I've seen advertisements and assume they would have mixture of ppl but not, totally different atmosphere. Music was actually a good mixture. I ordered a Funnel Fries-the waiter came back and said they were sold out. I was going to leave but my spouse order was put in already before she told me. Haven't been to cheers in years but this is our first time here for dinner. My wifes burger was delicious even for a well done(how she likes it) one. Service has been great. My chicken tenders are the best ive had locally. Hand breaded in house. The loco coco is amazing. Coconut with a kick. Ambience is basic but not bad. Its a Monday night so its not very busy. Cheers Park.Avenue is a dece6enough place to.grab a drink and catch up with a few old friends. There us nothing fancy about this, but I think the best atmosphere for a night out with friends should be without pretense. All in all, a decent place. I completely forgot to get pictures for once, although everyone else was taking them, so you should be able to find them. Hard to miss graffiti exterior, and similar taste on the inside. I was here with my husband tonight and overheard the manager swearing at the wait staff. It was extremely uncomfortable for everyone watching and hearing close by. Definitely not going here for our day nights. Amazing food and very clean areas. Everyone was so nice to us and the music was incredible. We were looking for some where to watch some college football and was told that Cheers was the place to go. The bar/restaurant is spacious inside with several TVs. We were helped fairly quick upon entering. Our waitress even accommodated is by changing one of the TVs to the game we wanted. Our group ordered some drinks and a few appetizers. On the menu they listed a pretzel with beer cheese as one of the apps, however when it was delivered to our table they were actually pretzel bites. Personally, I really liked them but they may want to change the menu or at least instruct the staff to tell you that you will be getting the bites rather than a large soft pretzel. Later in the evening they were having live music but we left before it started. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and the few apps we ordered were good. Unfortunately, the only reason we left was because it was just too smoky for our group, all who were non-smokers. read more

Severely disappointed that apparently the menu is old!! I am a regular and just happened to be told by Shelley the best waitress here that there are actually 6 wing flavors not listed on the menu!!! My GF always wants Garlic Parmesan but since they aren't on the menu she ordered naked!! I just happened to ask Shelley if I brought my own Garlic Parmesan could they toss them for me!! I might have given this place a higher ranking simply based upon how nice the bartender was BUT....we sat at a booth and no one ever came to wait on us (could easily be our mistake in even thinking they had wait staff on a Monday night; non Monday Night Football night) and the fact that patrons are still allowed to smoke inside. I mentioned the later thing to the previously noted nice bartender and he, himself (as opposed to HE, someone else) had no idea how they actually pull "it" off. Had dinner here the only waitress/server was Taylor H. She was pretty awesome, she had a great personality and she was moving pretty quickly but she got everybody served. The facility was very busy and festive. It was clean as were the restrooms. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Definitely a great place for a quick meal. read more

A couple of friends said this place was poppin' on Wednesday (ladies night although ladies have to pay an entrance fee) and sure enough it was poppin' around the time we had to leave... Because we are old and have to work the next day... Sigh.... They do serve food here, table booths and also two pool tables. We spent most of the night dropping quarters in the pool table and a waitress keep coming around for drink orders. As the night got older we did notice a decline in service as more people were rolling in. The place also started getting a lot smokier so the ventilation here isn't very good but I definitely will be coming back. read more

This is a great place for tavern style food. It's been under several names but by far the best is .....Cheers!!! Friendly servers, bartenders and managers. Quick and fast!! The food is great. They serve Angus Beef hamburgers that are better than Mom's home cooked with all the fixin's but the wings are what I really suggest. Oh yeah and did I mention that lives in music. I'd put No stars for this place if I can, it won't allow me to. Every few months they change the ladies night from Tuesday to Wednesday, it used to be wednesdsy, then Tuesday and now Wednesday again. Then they charge $2.00 by 9pm and if you came in earlier, they will go up to the woman that are seated and make them pay. But now they're charging $5.00 to get in. Ridiculous! Why bother paying when I can better spend my money elsewhere with no rednecks. read more

Surprisingly good bar. I live in Mandarin and was a frequent patron to the Cheers in Mandarin. I stopped going there because the bartenders loved to make up their own prices in drinks. One week on a Sunday, during the the all day Happy Hour drafts that ALL Cheers participate, I was charged $9.75 for 3 Coors Light draft beers, while each beer is $2.00 per beer on happy hour price. It doesn't take a genius to realize something is wrong. When I walked in to the Park Avenue bar, I really did not have high expectations. They proved me wrong. The bartenders are attentive, nice and HONEST. Plus, they actually serve food here, unlike their twin across the river. Yes, this is a smoking bar. If you are an avid non-smoker, I would suggest to stay away. You will smell smoke. If you don't mind the smoke smell, like many other bars are, you would be surprised on how good this bar here. The place is really big inside, with lots of seating and a stage and dance floor in the front..the bartenders were friendly and the bathroom was clean-which says a lot for a bar! i know i will come here again, even tho its on the other side of town from me..i had that much of a good time! read more

This place has some of the best wings. Apart from that, the pool tables are really nice too. A dart board would be a great, simple addition though. Even though many people were smoking, the air filtration system in there prevents you from even smelling the smoke whatsoever...this is amazing, makes the place feel even cleaner. There seems to be a large dance floor, but I was there on one of the nights with a guest DJ and the DJ was just not generating any activity from the customers. I actually only knew that there was a DJ because their facebook said there would be one. Still, a great place to hang out, get some beers and wings, and play a few games of pool. Also, the service at the bar is very good, but getting attention at a table is kind of tough. There needs to be an employee tending to the table guests as well, it seems like too much for the bartender to have to run out from behind the bar to serve the guests at tables. read more

We have been going to Cheers Park Avenue since it opened this location. Cleanest bar in town. Love the staff and the atmosphere. We have always been treated like family and love love love the bar manager. Always go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy :) We have had the wings and a few other items from their menu and I have yet to find something that wasn't yummy. Cheers is the place to go to on Wednesday nights for lady's , they drink for free after you pay three dollars at the door . The Bartenders are very nice and helpful , they have good food also .
