5 wings Sexy Red flavored, cheese covered Trap House Wedges
    LaToya B.

Let me tell you somethin'.....Trap House Chicken did not come to play. This spot is posted up with chicken so good it'll have you wondering if you should go back for seconds before you even finish your first bite. That was me I ordered the Sexy Red Spicy Lemon Pepper wings, cheese-smothered wedges, small Trap House Tea, and chicken lumpia. BABY... everything slapp'd harder than that one auntie at the family BBQ who don't play. Let's break it down: Wings: I don't know who's back there in that kitchen, but they need a raise. Perfect crisp, full of flavor, and seasoned like somebody's grandma whispered over that fryer. The ancestors were talking! Seasoning with nothin' but love... Wedges w/ Cheese: Thick cut, golden, and drowned in gooey cheese like a food hug. I couldn't put my hands on what they made the cheese sauce with but it was just ok..... Chicken Lumpia: Not overcooked, not dry, just crispy and flavorful. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but that first bite was EVERYTHING!!!! Trap House Tea: Listen... it's sweeeeet! Like "your grandma made this with her eyes closed and her heart open" sweet. I'm not a sugary drink type unless it's clinking in a glass with a splash of spirits. So, that part was a bit much for me, but I know a sweet tea lover would pass out with joy, my hubs . Homemade Ranch: It was a little too runny for my preference. I like my ranch with thickness and flavor. My preference is blue cheese w/extra crumbles so if I have to order ranch it MUST cling to a wing. And shoutout to the cook who personally brought the food out and took time to explain the sauce situation. That kind of service is rare, and I respect it heavy. My final opinion: If you're in Jax and you don't stop by Trap House Chicken, you're playing yourself. It's a whole vibe in a box. Hubs and I enjoyed every bite as we drove back to the Tampa Bay area... wishing I ordered more than the 5 piece welcometothetrap.com @THCTrapHouseChicken on IG

Wow, awful. Ordered 10 wings take out. Supposed to be curry. Tastes like Old Bay. 10 pigeon wings in a puddle of grease. I have never seen wings this small. This is insane. Stringy miniscule wings in a puddle of grease with some random spice on top. This was $13.99 plus tax and tip. That equates to more than $1.50 per wing. Live and learn. Never again. I cannot fathom how anyone would be pleased with this service.

I love the wings the best(sauce on the side). The ribs are good(ask for sauce on the side). The two girls who cook and take orders are very nice and helpful. I dine in sometimes and the other for "to go". Drink refills are $1.00. They are located behind Taco Bell. Pros:good food and service Cons: the dine in area could use some updating. Recommend? Heck yeah!

Been seeing this location for a minute and decided to try. Now first I will say the menu was very overwhelming and all the sauce names were confusing as well. I decided to try the wings and 1 fried rib both tossed in Queen Zae which was a hot honey garlic. I got waffle fries as well. The sauce was very good glad I chose it. The rib was pretty tough to chew. The waffle fries were good and seasoned. We also tried the sexy red flavor wings which was a hot lemon pepper but it was a dry rub... didn't like this flavor that much. The guy at the register was very helpful and explained the sauces to me as best as he could. I would go back for that Queen Zae sauce and I want to try the other sauces as well.

Keep in mind the names are just names to add a little fun to the menu. The customer Rep on the phone was horrible and hung up on my face when inquiring about the business hours. Initially i wasn't going to support the business however i heard the food was good. I didn't get food pics but i do have the menu and pic of location. Their price pong is comparable to wing stop but tastes better. Some wing flavors are a little on the salty side so beware.

Good food I enjoyed it very much. The service was very good and the people were very nice and friendly.

Ordered at the front counter and was greeted by a friendly young lady... good start. I went in planning to get the muffaleta off the specials board. They checked on it, but no luck... they were out of the cuts needed. I was pointed toward the Italian, but my buddy already grabbed that and I felt like being different. Noticed another special on the wall, a smoked brisket sandwich. Can't remember the exact name, but that's what I went with. Instead of chips or their homemade tots, I grabbed the balsamic roasted brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Tables weren't the cleanest and were a little wobbly, but nothing deal-breaking... we made it work. Food came out pretty quick and looked solid. Flavor-wise... a little mixed. The brussel sprouts were very flaky and leafy, almost crumbled apart. You really had to work your fork to get a bite. I was picturing larger roasted halves. Sauce was fine, nothing bad, nothing special. I'd give those a 3 out of 5. The brisket sandwich was interesting. The meat was very fatty and kind of tough to chew through. Not sure if that's just the cut or the prep. I ate about three-quarters of it. It wasn't bad, just didn't hit the way I hoped. Probably still thinking about that muffaleta. Another 3 out of 5. I'd come back, no doubt... but next time I'm sticking with what they're known for. Those cheesesteaks always look great, and that's probably the move. Today was about trying something different, and I'm glad I did... even if it didn't knock my socks off.

This is one of those places that we love but haven't been to in far too long. We both tried things that were new to each of us tonight as well, which was cool. I ordered The Ole Smokie, with everything on it and choose cheddar cheese. My first thought when it was brought to the table was "oh, I'll probably have to go at this with a fork & knife" but I decided to give it a shot as intended. I'm glad I did because the bread held up surprisingly well! As far as ingredients go, the brisket was good and smokey. There was a good mix of everything else and more than enough cheddar. My wife ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak. She also had a choice of cheese and she picked whizz. The thing that separates this from what people might expect is that it's chunks of chicken, not shredded chicken. She said that's not a bad thing at all, just a change from what some might exoect. She thought it was a welcome change. She liked their cheese whizz a lot and liked the roll as always, so she was glad she tried it. It's worth noting that both sandwiches were big enough that we both took half of each home. I didn't get the name of the two people that were working there this evening, but I'd still like to give then a shout out. They were both incredibly patient with the customers ahead of us and they didn't make us feel rushed even though we were there fairly close to the time they close on Friday evenings. Another good visit to Clarke Bros. Here's hoping it doesn't take us so long to get back here again for the next visit!

So wrong on so many levels. The Italian sub was not flavorful. It literally tastes like they put cheap Italian dressing on some cheap meat and American cheese and called it a day. The Philly was horrible. The meat, fine. The toppings??? BANANA PEPPERS????? American sliced cheese with shredded beef and canned mushrooms. CANNED. I got food poisoning later on from it all. I will say if you go make sure you look at reviews first on what's popular. Giving the benefit of the doubt we didn't get something good... BUT.. I drove straight up to the speaker, told her I hadn't been there before. She suggested the Steak in a Sack and I went for it. It comes w grilled onions, and I added mayo, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Next time I'll skip those (chz was ok, basically American, the L&T were messy and didn't add much IMHO). The pita was super fresh, the fries (I got mine seasoned) were piping hot. It was delicious. My only beef was that the drink that came with (I got 1/2&1/2 tea, tasty) was maybe 20oz and a bit small, I thought. Overall, great lunch spot n

I told the person behind the register and he just gave me a blank stare. I sat at the table and watched the next four or five guests come in and face the same issue with the Coke machine. About that time I realize that quite a few customers that came in after me had already gotten their sandwiches. When I went up to check my order there was in a row of bags and I had no idea how long it had been sitting there. They just didn't call me. By then the sub was soggy, and the pickle was limp and warm. All in all pretty poor service by a staff that clearly put no pride in the work they do.
