Our large party of six had a tough time getting seated in the fifteen minute wait they told us, we ended up waiting 30 minutes for a spot to open up. If you're checking this place out expect loud music and lots of waiting time. Which doesn't have to be a negative thing, we ended up finding a couple of seats at the bar, watched the football game and the live music. After being seated, our group ordered the fried pickles and the Southwest fries as appetizers. The fried pickles were great! I was not about the Southwest fries, the shredded chicken does not pair well with this dish and the cheese doesn't melt well. I really enjoyed my Whiskey Burger! It was juicy, the sauce was amazing, and it even had a kick to it. However, the fries that came along with the burger were cold, that was super disappointing. So since visiting ive been back a few times. The manager (Kevin) reached out and offered to make things right for me and he honestly truly cares about the customer. He offered to talk to the waitress and get her some extra training and also said he would handle the kid situation. So I decided go give it another chance and I'm glad I did. We got a new waitress and she kept me busy with a beer and my hand, was quick to get my order, and checked up on me to make sure I was alright. I do kinda feel like the days and times you come in affect the service you get a bit. They have the Varsity Squad working Thursday - Saturday afternoons and nights and JV working days and weekdays. However, it was a good experience eacheck other time ive come back. Only 1 times fid I have a run in with a hostess that had a attitude, but I didn't let her 1 min interaction ruin my experience. Ill def go back, management seems to really care about the operation and it seems to be a priority to right the wrongs! read more

Surprisingly the food isn't the worst, for being a bar I would choose this over a lot of places to eat I am talking about the Gilbert location though Scottsdale I would pass. My wife and I have been here before for dancing. This is our first visit for dining. I had the Tennessee steak melt sandwich. All you need to know is your mouth will Never forgive you if you don't eat this sandwich. An Absolute bucket list must have. Walking in....the sign says self seating. We sat for what seemed like 8 minutes and couldn't handle the wait any longer. Everything was delicious, but the burger had a little too much bbq sauce. If u don't want ur burger drenched in bbq sauce, get the sauce on the side! No surprise that i have zero food pics to show for this experience, as my stomach was literally eating itself by the time we got our food. Here comes the kicker! We were 10 minutes into starting our meal, and the waitress hands us our check!! Since our meal was practically free, my bf was a gentleman & tipped her well. For our after entertainment, we walked a few steps over and we were greeted with a kickass pingpong table, our choice of beer/water pong table, a pacman video game, and a wildlife hunting game!! The corn hole, pingpong, and beer/water pong are all free!! All in all, I'll probably be back for the good food and the extensive variety of fun games. It seems like every few months we try to give Dierks another opportunity. My wife and I swear we'll never be back, but we always do. Today I thought I would leave a review. The food never seems to meet expectations. I ordered a Diet Coke, and it came out tasting horrible. First time for this in my life. I even had my wife take a sip, thinking maybe my taste buds were off. She took a sip and said it was horrible as well. I mentioned it to the staff, and they stated that they thought it was do to my glass being the first diet Coke to be dispensed that day. It's weird, but it even smelled strange. Like mild BO. Not a great way to start off lunch. Lol I ordered a burger medium-rare. While there was a medium rare stick in it, it was well done. Still edible. Tasted OK, just not done as I requested. It was a bit disappointing; especially at $16 for a burger. Combining the experience with the Diet Coke, and the issue with the burger, I kind of figured that they would suggest taking it off our bill. They didn't. I get it, I did eat the burger. We had a great time while eating our food drinking our drinks etc until we got our checks! My daughter and her girlfriend were walking back from the restroom and one of the "bouncers" who is tall, stalky, has a beard and is Caucasian shirt was either 2 sizes to small but the look he gave them and the comment he made was DISGUSTING!!!! Living near downtown Gilbert is a little rough these days. If you don't have a reservation for brunch or dinner it's gonna be hard to get a table at most of the restaurants.... Except whisky row. They always have a table. The service is always good. The vibe is always good and I always get the pretzel app and Buffalo chicken wrap which are both excellent. One of the besties was visting from out of state and since I had never been here either, we decided to try it out. We weren't that hungry so we only ordered some appetizers for ourselves. Originally planned Snooze for brunch but Whiskey Row had zero wait. (Now we know why) Upon sitting down, the waitress seemed already flustered that she had a table. Ordered mimosas, my cup was very dirty. Waitress did not check in for 5-7 mins. No waters or anything. Instead of bothering her for my request for a new one, I went to the bar. The bar tender was rude and impersonal. Gave me yet ANOTHER dirty cup and didn't give me any time to state that my order had pineapple purée rather than the orange classic one. By this time, my waitress still had not checked in, I asked for the manager. The hostesses stated that we would get another server soon and sent Mary to check in on us. (The manager) I showed her my second mimosa with the dirty cup and explained the events. She personally made my drink assuring me that it was a clean cup, and the correct order. Service wasn't what the environment upholds. Multiple times other wait staff would assist in helping our table. Waters were given half way through our meal. Food was mediocre and not worth the experience/money. Took about 15 minutes to just check out with our tickets. Will never eat here again. Mary was very nice, but doesn't have the support to maintain exceptional customer service for the establishment. read more

My visit was great! Lily the bartender was wonderful!! She made my brother and I feel comfortable and we had a great time chatting with her as we had lunch and a few drinks :) He was visiting from CA and has never been to downtown Gilbert...he loved Whiskey Row and the entire area! Thanks Lily for making our visit a pleasant one! The only negative thing I can say was not about the restaurant at all but about the health inspector who was there on a routine visit...he was atrocious!!!! We even had to move seats due to his attire!! He had no underwear on and constantly bent down to look at things and exposed his rear end...GROSS! He was not wearing his shoes and his feet were BLACK from dirt!!! HE was disgusting!!! Just what kind of "Health Inspector " is going out like this to eating establishments???!!! I liked the atmosphere. Server was nice, she had so many tables so it took awhile to get around to us (understandable). The food was mediocre. They were incredibly HEAVY on the salt. It was so bad I couldn't finish my food. We did take it to go back with us but we had to throw away. We got the Mac and cheese (which is my favorite food) and I couldn't stomach the salt. So beware when you order food. My husband got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was salty and a little dry but not as bad as mac. Liked the live music read more

Came here on a Saturday night, having been to the other locations plenty of times before. In my opinion, this is the best of all of them! Reading some of the other reviews after the fact makes me question whether they were reviewing the right place... The environment was great! Yes, it was super crowded, but even with that, there was plenty of room to move around and it was relatively easy to get a drink at the bar. The live band was incredible and, although we didn't have the chance to play, I love that they had bags and other games. Collectively, we ordered sliders and fries (regular, sweet potato, and loaded). Everything came out hot, tasted great, and was very filling. The drinks also came out fast and tasted just as expected. They are located to the left/north of Topo and Joe's BBQ. They are right across the street from Positinos. Atmosphere: Live band and live music. Today they had 4 people up on the stage playing country like Jonny Cash. The live music we guitar players and one singer. They were actually really good and created a great vibe for the place. It was really busy but no long waits in line. Service: Excellent service! Our waitress was diligent and we never had to wait on her. She was constantly coming around to check on our table but not in an annoying way. Food: I ordered the Chicken and waffles which I've never tried before in my entire life. I was not disappointed. It had lots of different taste and I'm glad I ordered it here. Oh, they have this really awesome area right in front where you can eat, drink, and play games. Does Dierks know that they don't play country music here? We arrived at 4pm for a very very early dinner with friends and immediately noticed how LOUD it was. Impossible to hear each other, so we were literally yelling across the table. Even the server had a hard time hearing us. 4pm shouldn't be uncha uncha uncha club music IMHO. Had a cold beer. That was fine. Ordered the Mac and cheese and it was so salty! We didn't order a second round and wrapped up dinner asap to exit the nightclub vibe before 5pm. Was with my group of guys and even had our DD. However was escorted out cause I had "drank too much". Realistically it's just a place for singles to lust over one another and the security guard felt I just wasn't enjoying the vibe. As he said " you were looking up and around to much." If you are in a relationship they don't care and will still expect you to try to maintain there "socially acceptable" standards. Lost a lot of respect for the security there and wouldn't recommend unless you wanna feel preyed on by them read more

The atmosphere and openness of this bar and restaurant was extremely well laid out. The wait staff was attentive and timely. The wait time was told to us as 30 minute wait to get inside. We waited 5 minutes and seated at a table for 6 when we requested 4. All went well until we told our waitress that we wanted a tap beer. She came back and the tapped beer selections weren't cold. Warm beer on tap. Soooo, we ordered bottled beer which wasn't that much colder than lukewarm bottles. We ordered an appetizer artichoke dip which was decent and served all 4 of us. We then ordered our meals and my wife's burger was like a frozen patty and it was burnt and she wants it medium. All bun and where's the beef for $14.00. Overpriced and charred edges. I ordered the brisket sandwich for $14 and again, where's the beef??? And 5 onion rings instead of fries. A bit overpriced for food and drinks but I guess you're really paying for the entertainment overall. LIVE music was decent overall so made up for the food and drink. I would probably wait another year to go back. There is the SOHO Brewery across the street so we may go try that next time and listen to the music from across the way. read more
