Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend. Had the park wings and a lemon drop. This place got packed fast yet they have seating inside and they gave an outdoor patio. It was a little warm so we sat inside. All fhe staff was attentive and friendly. It shares space with an ice rink so the bathroom is located adjacent the ice. Private lot, decent parking and the wings had a nice cook and flavor. Come for sports stay for the good, drinks and atmosphere. read more

A great sports bar, especially to watch hockey! Pretty basic bar food menu but we ordered the Garlic Parmesan flavored wings along with the chicken cheese quesadilla, which came with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. How did we not even know about this place?! Scrolling FB & found this advertisement for FREE wings! I thought "why the heck not"! My son had finished a baseball tournament, so we thought we'd take the opportunity to come in and get those FREE wings and additional food. This is actually located on the side of the AZ Gilbert Ice Rink. It's got a large outdoor patio (dog friendly) seating inside as well as a huge bar with plenty of space plus tv's playing ALL kinds of sports. Large open environment that is also inviting. We decided to sit outside as it was late afternoon and the weather was beautiful. Our server was Sydney F. She was fantastic from start to finish. Started with the wings which are fried, sauced, tossed & then grilled- Honey Hot. They were good sized wings, sauced just right & literally are now in the top 3 of our favorite here in AZ. We actually met the owner of the restaurant and he comes for years of experience. Pleasant man, passionate about his business and we enjoyed our visit with him. FYI- There's more to come from this place, but they're definitely doing things right. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other places in town! Burgers are only about $10 bucks! We relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere and had several rounds of beer & before we knew it was getting dark, so we decided to get a pizza. The dough is made in house, hand tossed and wood fire oven cooked. Again, a pizza that is in our top tier in Arizona. Got a side of fries that were top notch too! Why, did we not know this place was even here?! Like what?! The staff, the customers surrounding us ALL were super cool, relaxed, friendly and the vibe was so good. Note- Restrooms are indoors near the hockey rink. They offer a nice cafeteria adjacent to the ice. They serve snacks, breakfast items, beverages and specialty coffees. It's understandably cold with in the building, but probably the perfect place to be in the summer. Check out their website for the events and activities going on within the skate arena & then the Park Tavern menu with their happy hour bar bargains & daily food deals. The bar is open till 2AM 7 days a week! NOTE- They have a kids-eat-free deal on the weekends. Excellent family spot of people of ALL ages. Great vacationers place too! They're known for their wings for a reason- get the wings either bone in or boneless you won't regret it! This place is a bit of a whole in a wall situated next to an ice rink and a dog park but don't let that deter you. The food is solid all-American pub grub with friendly and quick service whether dining in or taking out with family friendly pricing. Highly reccomend their happy hour and wing and drink specials. read more

First time stopping in. Had seen good reviews and looked like a cool, local dive bar type spot. It's definitely a good spot for grabbing a drink with a nice outdoor patio with lighting. However, I wasn't overly impressed, unfortunately. The inside is very small, with limited seating. The patio is a nice size. For the majority of our visit, the music was blasting, and it was hard to have a conversation at our table. Very under staffed with only 1 server for the inside and 1 for the outside, for a weekend lunch rush. Lots of waiting for everything. Food wise, they have a small menu. Not a ton of options. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap was very good, though! So were the fries. Disappointed in the lack of options - given they're right beside the hockey rink with families/parents always in and out, I expected more. Would be willing to give it another shot again but very underwhelming visit. It is nice that the kids eat free on the weekend, especially again, being by the hockey rink. Again, would be a good spot to come grab a drink and catch a game but otherwise, underwhelming. read more

My roommate and I visited Park Tavern after seeing their Instagram promotion for a free 10-piece wing order. When we realized it was located inside an ice rink, we were actually excited. We have friends who play hockey, we enjoy skating, and it seemed like it could become a regular spot for us. Unfortunately, the service made sure that will not happen. We arrived about 10 minutes before opening, unaware of the exact time. The bartender/server let us know alcohol was not available yet, which was fine because we were there for food. Once the kitchen opened, ordering was easy. She explained the happy hour deals, accepted the wing promotion, and we ordered wings, fries, and drinks. The food was decent. Nothing special, but good enough that we would have considered coming back. The problem was everything surrounding it. She brought us plates to share, but both were dirty. One looked dusty, and the other had caked-on food still stuck to it. We pushed them aside and ended up eating off napkins until I asked for a basket for the fries. From there, the lack of service became impossible to ignore. She never checked on us, never asked how the food was, never offered refills, and ignored our empty drinks. Meanwhile, she openly chatted with regulars, checked on them, and made sure they were taken care of right in front of us. The contrast was blatant. When I took photos of the dirty plates, she came over, grabbed them, muttered "Jesus Christ" under her breath, and stormed away. That moment sealed the experience. We usually tip on the original total before discounts and often tip generously, especially with promotions. But poor service, dirty dishes, empty drinks, and a snide remark are not things I am going to reward. Restaurants do not earn regulars on food alone. They earn them by making people feel welcome and taken care of. Park Tavern had a real chance to gain new customers that day, and instead we left feeling dismissed and unwanted. I also called afterward and asked for management to return my call. No one followed up. Free wings may get people through the door, but service is what brings them back. Based on this experience, we will not be returning. To Add...The usual response to negative reviews seems to be, "We're affordable, and plenty of people like us." But that misses the point. Cheap prices do not excuse poor service. Decent food does not excuse dirty dishes. And regulars receiving great service does not erase other guests being ignored. I saw multiple negative reviews pointing to the same issue: poor service and staff favoritism. That is the problem. Some guests are treated like valued customers while others are made to feel invisible. That is not hospitality. That is selective service. read more

Fun neighborhood bar located adjacent from an ice rink. It's a great place to watch a game. Lots of tv's and one really big screen. Great selection of drinks too. It seems they've improved their wine list. I tried a couple of nice wines at a really reasonable price. There's one not so good thing. Their pretzels bites. My husband has always loved them. They used to be buttery and soft. He ordered them the other day and they were overcooked/very dark and oily. The oil smelled really bad. Our server took them back and replaced them with a new batch. Absolutely love this place ver cool spot with amazing prices. Don't want to bash them at all, but my only suggestion would be to clean the patio tables a little more often. Most of them were sticky and had drink rings from the previous day. Watch them, bust the tables, but never see them come back to wipe them down ever. Other than that, great experience! read more

Just moved to the area, went Park Tavern a month ago and food was not great but service was good. We tried it again today, arrived at 5:50pm went to the bar to try to order right before happy hour ended. No one would acknowledge us. Found a waiter and he had a very nice waitress come out. Got our order into her right at 6pm. BUT by the time it was rang in it was 6:03. NO happy hour prices. The manager told her no after her asking twice. I told her this was our 2nd bad experience here. Terrible service, we've been here before but today was awful!!!! We waited an hour for our food only for the wings to come out uncooked since we ordered them extra crispy (never got the pizza). When we asked the blonde hair waitress to have them cooked more she went back to the kitchen and loudly said (think for our benefit) cook them "fucking, fucking extra crispy". We saw many other customers come in way after us and got their food. We had hoped to make this one of our regular spots but will NEVER go back after this experience. read more

My husband plays hockey on Monday nights here so we always stop in for dinner and a drink before hand. We absolutely love the care and attention the bar tenders give and the male server (forgot his name). The female servers are very slow to get to you and sometimes we go 15-20 min without being addressed. There have been a few times where the girls are all standing in the back just chatting and we'll be sitting waiting, But most nights we have phenomenal service! Love the chicken tenders with lemon pepper rub, wingmaster style wings, cheese curds, best fries I can get near here, and the beer is always great. We love trivia night too! Wednesdays are the best! Such a fun location with lots of events and really cool staff! Love the selection of tvs and how accommodating the staff is! We love you guys!!! read more

Evidently there was a recent change in service staff. On our most recent visit we received the cold shoulder. We had to flag the bartender down for anything we wanted despite there being a total of 8 other patrons at the bar. We decided not to stay and return on another occasion so we ordered food to go for the dogs, however upon inspection discovered that the food was seasoned with salt and pepper. When we notified the bartender she told us that was the way they prepared food for dogs(????? pepper is widely considered to be a gastrointestinal irritant) and didn't offer a re-make or a refund. We will give Park Tavern another chance in the future but do not anticipate visiting the location as much as we once did. read more
