This charming theater is located in the thick of the heart of downtown Gilbert. As far as I could tell, they don't have a parking lot but there is plenty of free street and surface lots close by. Just a few minutes away by foot. All theaters have their pros and cons and Hale is no different. It's a intimate theater that probably can seat a few hundred people tops. Which means there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Well, let's talk about the seats. The space between seats is pretty cramped if you're tall (I'm 6'2"). Let's switch gears again. Concessions consists of snacks (no hot food) and beverages. During intermission, they bring a cart out to the stage so you don't have to go to the lobby. Nicely done! Reasonable prices too for a venue. The lobby area gets pretty packed right before the show. Rather than messing with the traffic jam, I went to the other side of the theater and went to the restroom there. It's a one person restroom (not ideal for a venue) but the restrooms by the lobby are larger. I saw Catch Me If you Can at Hale. Looking forward to my next visit!

It kind of feels like forever because there's nowhere to go and could create a little bit of potential claustrophobia/panic for people who may be sensitive to those types of environments. The drink menu was good but I really wasn't wowed. They did offer three mocktails which wasn't really impressive and the cocktails did include a variety of liquors and flavor profiles but again, wasn't as extensive or interesting as some other speakeasies around town. The food menu was very disappointing - a lot of dairy and bread - pretzels with cheese, flatbread, queso with chips, and "rabbit food" - hummus with bread and vegetables. We asked to have all vegetables instead of bread and they did accommodate with a generous helping of full-size rainbow carrots and cherry tomatoes. We actually ran out of hummus before we could finish the vegetables. I understand elevated pricing for the aesthetic/experience but I did think the pricing here was a little bit high for what was received.

PARLOUR DOOM Came…read morethrough on a Saturday night and this small bar was packed and only took about 50 people piled in there to fill it up. The place was not called ROOM for nothin. It felt about the size of a Master Bedroom. There were two 'rooms' actually; the main room and a smaller adjacent room, which would be like a big walk-in closet to this Master Bedroom. The big room had a few standing tables and the small room had some chairs and couches with tables that you can actually sit at. The smaller room contained a mini bar area that that you can also sit at, but was not being used to serve at the time. This master bedroom had a Master of Ceremonies playing music, but he was definitely a Master of Disaster on the turn tables. This D.J. had a pattern where he would play a song and maybe 20 seconds into it, people would start feeling the music, but then he would switch the song. Talk about killin the vibe! Well, there was no cover charge, so maybe that's why there's a neon sign in there that says "No Free Vibes". It was like they were the Vibe Nazis. The other atrocity was how he was tried to mix the tracks. He was trying to mix songs from every genre of every decade. The DJ was overlapping newer songs with older songs, maybe to cater to the age range of the crowd, but the result sounded like he was just messing around for the first time on new turn tables he got for Christmas. He tried to mix songs which didn't even go together or have a mixable beat i.e. 'Macarena' and 'In the End' by Linkin Park. This abomination was an insult to the artists and fans of music in general. To make things worse, the DJ tried to hype the crowd by talking over the mic intermittently, but all he accomplished was interrupting the songs. I almost had second-hand embarrassment for him. It would have been better if he just had a recorded track of songs and just played the preset music. I think you are better off paying for your vibes elsewhere if you want to dance or hear music. You would think, getting people drunk makes everything better and more fun, right? Well if you can't get them drunk because the bar service was taking such a long time, then you are gonna have a lot of bored, sober customers. I did not drink but all I know, for the rest of my group, it was taking 15 minutes to get a couple simple cocktails. You could probably walk to the liquor store across the street and chug a beer quicker than you could get a round of drinks. This place has potential. It was not a bad space overall for a lounge type bar. The décor, aesthetic, and lighting gave it a nice ambiance. They just need to get adequate staff to serve the drinks and play music.

We arrived right on time to check in, and were told there was no table available inside, and that outside would be available in 10-15 minutes "maybe". I asked how long to wait for inside and she said - I kid you not, "15-20 minutes maybe. But that could change at any minute, but people might not leave, it could be more or less but there is no way to know." ...insane response lol. I asked why a reservation was even an option when it clearly wasn't and she said, "yeah that's why I'm telling you there's nothing inside so it will be like 15 minutes." Only maybe though, apparently?? I got the table ready text only 10 minutes later which wouldn't have been a problem, unfortunately the hostess made it seem like it was 50/50 if we'd get sat at all, so we were already gone. Good luck if you want to try it, though!

The day, gray and filled with the humdrum of repetitious tasks, yearned for a climax, a piece of serendipity. And so, as the sun began to cast long shadows, I found myself stepping through the rustic doors of Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row on a seemingly quiet Monday evening. The atmosphere was subtly electric, a sharp contrast to the day I'd just put behind. Muted conversations blended with the soulful twang of country tunes. I started with a pretzel, twisted to perfection, its golden crust reflecting the warm ambient lighting. A glass of blueberry wheat beer soon joined, its effervescent bubbles and fruity undertones playing a symphony on my palate. As I lost myself in the gentle notes of the beer, the pièce de résistance arrived - the BBQ Platter. Each element was meticulously plated, representing a culinary mosaic of flavors. It was a testament to the prowess of the chef, who, as fate would have it, I had the privilege to meet. His passion, evident in every bite, was matched only by his humility. Met a few important peeps that work here, I'll keep them confidential out of respect. VIP Manager, accident. A chef, accident. Probably some others. We shared stories, laughter, and insights. I also got to engage with several other staff members, each bringing their unique narratives and contributing to the magic of the evening. I've been coming to Whiskey Row for years. As a local and regular I have always received the best service and have made some great memories here. The versatility of this establishment is to be noted. If you're looking for a solid night life experience, you will receive a variety of music to get down to. From country music to rock and hip hop, even edm from live djs, you get it all here. They even have live music at least a few nights per week. Not to mention the country dancing that takes place here they have a huge dance floor to accommodate the crowds of dancers (country dance to the hip hop/ edm fist pumpers later in the nights). If you're also looking to get your Sunday funday brunch on, it's yet again covered here. Stack a Sunday brunch with NFL football and you'll find yourself staying here all day! This restaurant and bar is ran by a formidable young woman named Shelby who is only to be described as the definition of a manger you would want running your business. She really knows how to hold it down as she's been in her position for years now. The staff that works the bar are also to be recognized as they are always hustling to take drink orders and fulfill them with accuracy and speed. In particular a staff member by the name of Logan is extremely friendly and always on the hustle when I've been in there. To wrap it up here are some scores; service: 10/10, food: 10/10, drinks: 10/10, staff friendliness: 11/10, cleanliness: 9.5/10. I've been to Whiskey Row in Gilbert at least 3 times. I was meeting my friend at this restaurant this past Sunday since she and her hubby were visiting from California. I must say this time was the best ever mostly because of our wonderful server who made our visit and dinner enjoyable. Her name is Abby. What a wonderful personality she has. She was very attentive to our needs and also paid frequent visits to our table to ensure we were doing ok and that we had what we needed. I've seen waitresses with attitudes and it is just not pleasant. Most times these waitresses forget that the customers are also paying attention to their attitude and personality. Abby is one with a great personality and we enjoyed our time at the restaurant because of Abby. She was sending out positive vibes and a beautiful smile. We never felt as though we were ignored. She paid attention to our needs and we were not waiting for her to pay attention to us. She checked on us frequently. My visiting friends also enjoyed Abby and how she was very attentive to her customers. I will return to Whiskey Row mostly because of Abby :-) Abby, keep up the good work!! GOD bless you!! read more

We just had such a great experience here. Dear Dirks Bentley country fans; I have a country tip - if you are ever near Scottsdale Road and Shea BLVD stop in here:Handle Bar J What a super spectacular restaurant is this place. It is because of this restaurant I play the fiddle today. The music is extraordinary and the welcoming is heart felt. This restaurant and bar has maintained an incredible music talent and inviting atmosphere since I was 6 years old . I am 51.5 years old today. I plan to attend often and give them my support. This is one of the only places in Phoenix Arizona you can go hear live country music today. One of the band members is famous - he wrote a country hit (Me and You 'sung by Kenny Chesney - this is his career song)'; was a star in a famous country band (McBride and the Ride) is the lead guitar player for a famous country star - when he tours 'Lyle Lovett'. On top of all that I learned the drummer played for Glen Campbell . Wow, what an all star line up. They are kind and have big hearts and they love to build their family legacy of great food, wonderful hospitality and unbelievably live country music. read more

I met up with friends for a birthday celebration at the new Whiskey Row-Gilbert location. It has a very fun, open, relaxed but also very nice ambiance from the moment you enter. I loved all the bright orange! We had a lot of catching up to do, and didn't look at the menus for quite awhile. Our waitress Cheyenne was very attentive to our beverage needs without ever making us feel rushed to order. She was super friendly and took a group picture for us, even when we requested a do-over! We ended up ordering a couple of appetizers, artichoke dip and red pepper hummus. We loved the read that was served with each of them. Both were delicious and I would highly recommend! Then we each tried a different slider. They have 5 types and they are only $3 during Happy Hour! I had the picnic chicken slider. It was fried chicken with a slaw relish. Yummy! Cheyenne said that was her favorite slider. She told us about the free birthday dessert (nice surprise)! She also told us about how fun it is on Saturdays and explained about the minimum/table. YIKES! The management here on 6/12 is absolutely disgusting. We had some MALE approach our table and say some absolutely vulgar things about us having a child with us. Keep in mind, there were about 10-12 kids within this establishment. The manager on duty was less than sympathetic, made us feel beyond uncomfortable and did NOTHING to rectify the situation or even speak with the MAN harassing us. It was such an uncomfortable situation. Whiskey Row should be embarrassed and disgusted with themselves and how their manager did absolutely nothing. Don't plan on going here with your family for brunch unless you want to be targeted and harassed by grown men about your parenting. This establishment used to be such a great place to gather but unfortunately the manager on duty this morning and the lack of acknowledgement for some man (who works for the bars in old town as a bouncer, by the way) harassing us was just too much. They clearly favored the man because they either knew him or because he works in the industry. DO NOT COME HERE. It's disgusting how they allow people to be treated and the management is the same. read more

greeting: hostess smiled and greeted me and my family right when we walked in. There was a wait because it was dinner time and that seems to be their busiest times. Food: for being a bar their food is spectacular. I had the mac and cheese and honestly is the best thing I have ever had. If you like gooey house made mac and cheese i would definitely check this place out. We also started with the sweet potato fries that are a little thicker than regular fries but not steak cut fries. their lime aioli sauce they serve with it is to die for! We ended with the brownie skillet that taste more like cake but is still very moist and delicious Drinks: Yes it is expensive but everywhere you go is pretty expensive. The drinks were very good and refreshing I had the little heart breaker and my mom had the spring fling both very good. Service: AMAZING at the least. our server was always attentive and checked on us regularly. Recommended great cocktails and even offered us dessert which we did end up getting. We popped in on a Thursday afternoon for my son's 4th birthday and he wanted wings for lunch and we wanted to try DB's anyway so win/win. Not busy at time of arrival and got prompt seating from the hostess. Our server was Leslie Y and she was training another girl at the time (sorry forgot your name :( ) We had the Creole pasta and my son had the Mac/Cheese and wings. Wings were fantastic without the sauce, which is rare to find. Sauce is a love/hate thing but was enjoyable for me. Pasta was great! with ample amount of shrimp, sausage, pork. Mac/cheese is Mac/cheese, hard to mess up. +1 for carrying the Belching Beaver Peanut butter Porter!! We were ending the meal and they wanted to bring my son a little Bday dish. Leslie pulled out all the stops and came out with big signs, whistle blowing, riding on the shoulders of a coworker. Never before have I ever experienced such HORRIBLE and unprofessional individuals at a nightclub. The staff is ignorant, the bar was packed and nothing was organized. We were asked to leave.....for NO REASON.....we were all actually having a really good time. Then from out of the blue...they told use we had to leave...NO REASON was provide or even offered! Not only were we offended....we were embarrassed! THEN...I had to fight to get my cc back from the bartender. Sad....really because we get a lot of visitors from Canada and the US. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone...even to people I don't like....lol Now, let me say this....we are not in our 20's....our 30's ....we are in our late 40's! We were not acting out of control or doing anything that deemed our removal from the bar. If I could give this bar NEGATIVE stars...I would give it a negative 10! Just what Gilbert needed!!! FINALLY!!! The ultimate place to hangout. Big open atmosphere with an abundant of options. Chill on the patio and play some games (they have tippy cup, ping pong, bags, giant jenga, connect 4). Sit at the bar and watch your favorite sports game. Bring in the entire family and sit in the dining room to enjoy their delicious home cooked meals. Or step out onto their GIANT (and I mean giant) dance floor. The staff is energetic, super friendly and just wants you to have a good time. And how could you not? This place has EVERYTHING! Gotta try the porkchop and mac-n-cheese :) Oh! And I can't wait to checkout the live music and get my country swing on. This place is huge and I love how the space is spread out. My friend and I came in on a recommendation from a good friend last Friday night. We walked in and the place was packed I was a little concerned that it was going to take a while to get drinks. We were wrong we got to bar fairly quick and were happily greeted by the bartender. She was really busy but kept a smile on her face and kept her section of the bar really happy. We had a couple electric lemonades and absolutely loved them. I was really impressed with the variety cocktails they offered. We had to try the wings that the bartender raved about and they definitely exceeded expectations. This is definitely our new go to spot and we will be back with more friends for them to test this place out. read more

First off..let me start by saying. I served my country with 2 tours in the Marine Corps, contribute to society, work full time, married and raising 2 kids in Gilbert. I came down for drink lastnight with my wife and brother. Only to be denied entry!!!! THEY ACTUALLY DIDN'T LET ME INTO THE BAR!!! BECAUSE I HAVE THE NUMBER 22 TATTOOED ON MY NECK. THE 22 STANDS FOR THE AMOUNT OF VETERANS THAT COMMIT SUICIDE EVERY DAY!!! THESE IDIOTS THOUGHT IT WAS A GANG TATTOO.!!. after speaking with the security manager. Then the general manager. (Both having tattoo sleves) they decided it was a "brand new corporate policy" I'm sad to say, I was excited to check out a new bar in town. As I entered this restaurant I was greeted with plenty of beautiful faces. The building itself looked like it was hand crafted by the worlds greatest architects. The attention to detail in the design and layout of this restaurant is incredible. I was greeted at the bar by a handsome young man by the name of Casey. Great bartender with a sense of humor and biceps so big and beautiful you might just fall out of your barstool. Anyways- my Bavarian pretzel platter was delicious. It tasted like it came straight off a plane from Germany flying first class. My ice cold coors light was refreshing and crisp and never sat empty, thanks to Casey. I wish that I could give this location more than 5 stars, best place in Gilbert. I love whiskey row! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I've tried this place several times with hopes they would surprise me with better service. Each time I made an excuse for why we couldn't seem to get what should be good service. Today put the mail in the coffin. Saturday afternoon, walked in to listen to the band and grab appetizers and a drink. For 20 min we sat while the server walked past us without even acknowledging that we were there. We tried flagging her down but she went straight to another table. Finally we got up and walked out. Three of us willing to pay the bill for a great afternoon listening to music. Amazing venue! I went on a Saturday night for dinner reservations at 5:30pm. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. I went with 3 friends and we all loved our food. I got a burger and it was juicy and delicious. The singer during dinner was mellow and had a great voice. Then around 8:30pm, the staff cleared the floor of the tables and chairs and opened up the dance floor. The dancing picked up around 9:00pm when the new band came on and they too were great, loud and fun! I will definitely be coming back. My one piece of advice is to make sure you reserve a table for dinner first then stay for the dancing after because the line outside to get in was crazy long by around 9:30pm. read more

First time visiting this location in Gilbert, and will definitely return when in town. Our server Crystall was more than pleasant and knowledgable. Truly interested in our satisfaction and gave great suggestions on what we might enjoy trying. I wish all servers could be as bright and spot on with their service skills! You were awesome Crystall, thank you. I know your job has become more difficult due to the current social restrictions, but we felt very safe and comfortable with the seating arrangements. It's nice to see the staff is knowledgeable about the mask rules and don't hesitate to call a customer out when not following the simple rules. This was a pleasurable experience.!! read more

I have been to the two other Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row locations in Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe, but had not been to the Gilbert location yet until last month when I took my friends who were visiting me from Oregon. We were extremely impressed with everything as a whole when we walked in! As soon as we sat at the bar, a bartender immediately spotted us and took our drink order. The selection of the beers on tap is extremely impressive and my friends being from the Portland area were impressed as well. I was shocked at how large the space was compared to the other locations, the amount of games, and the structure of the building. Good job with this new location!! read more

We loved the laid back atmosphere, and signature drinks.My brother, sister, husband and I went to whiskey row last night to unwind after the holiday. We called ahead for the VIP area for 630-830. We all agreed that Madison did an AMAZING job taking care of us. To quote my brother in law "this is the best service I have had in 2 years" That's high praise from someone who moved here cross country just a year ago from outside of Boston. We had 3 different signature drinks, sliders, and 3 appetizers. We got to enjoy the Jake Morris band with opening by Kyle (unsure of last name). Came in for VIP bottle service for my wife's birthday with a good amount of friends. We have had experience with bottle service before, but never here so we did not know what to expect and wanted to give a new place a try. Overall, I am extremely pleased on how our night went. My wife had such a fun birthday and I owe it to our server. She never left us empty and made sure she was doing whatever she could to make sure we had a good time. We have had plenty of bottle service servers before, but she was by far the sweetest and most welcoming one we have ever had and we will definitely be going back.
