Very poor communication. They called us at 10:20pm to tell us our delivery was ready. They ignored the detailed instructions we sent.

I was moving from NORTHWEST WA to southeastern NC, 2900 miles or so. The whole process, from pickup in WA to delivery in NC, went perfectly. Drivers were on time at both ends with plenty of notice beforehand. Drivers were very helpful and professional. I had no issues whatsoever. I had my car shipped with Diesel Auto Express this December via AmeriFreight. I was moving cross country and I needed my roof rack and bike rack to be shipped along with my car. The agent from AmeriFreight took photos of my vehicle (with the roof rack and bike rack on) and specifically looked for a driver who would ship my car with the items attached. My car was picked up with both items securely on and the driver (who was very nice) did not say anything about the roof rack needing to be removed. HOWEVER when my car was delivered my roof rack was inside my car (it barely fit.) My $800 Yakima roof rack was cracked and completely taken apart then shoved into my car. I reached out to Diesel Auto Express's insurance company but their deductible has a minimum of $5000 so they told me I would have to file an in-house claim. Of course, Diesel Auto refused to replace my roof rack. All I asked was that they re-imbursement me for a new roof rack. I didn't ask for any compensation for the scratches and damage to the leather seats (which must have occurred when the driver shoved the rack into the car.) They stated that the driver has the discretion to take the rack off--which I can understand however the driver completely broke the roof rack. Why not just be a stand-up company and reimburse me for the item your employee broke? read more

My car required shipping from my home in Seattle to my winter residence in San Diego. The car was picked up on December 29th and was delivered at midnight on January 5th or 6th depending on how you look at the calendar. The car was intact. The arrangement suggested a delivery date of January 3rd. I understand that this depends on how many other cars are contained on the truck and is variable. While having the car arrive later than desired is frustrating there are other factors that matter. All of the individuals that I spoke with were courteous and tried to be of help. This included the pick-up driver and the long haul driver as well as the people who do the scheduling. I have had previous experience with this type of service where the people I dealt with were rude and demanding. If I need to ship my car in the future I will certainly turn to these folks! read more

The entire process was flawless. I went online and cast my net with car transporters. I decided to go with Diesel Auto Express right away. The price was right and everything happened so quickly (in a good way). They asked when the car would be ready to go and I decided 5 days from now. I paid the deposit and signed the forms. Communication never stopped. The process was in motion. I knew what to expect in regard to the pickup date and drop off timeframe. The driver gave me updates on when he would be at the pickup location the night before and a few hours before pickup time. The driver did the same thing for the drop off. I could not have been more impressed. I highly recommend Diesel Auto Express. After researching numerous transport companies we decided on Montway Auto Transport/Broker who set us up with Diesal Auto Express. I appreciate the good communication, but there was an issue and pick up date, and was rescheduled from 3/04/25 to 03/05/2025. This company is either a scam or just plain inept. Do not use this company. Diesel was hired through a shipping service to ship a vehicle from Washington to California. First issue was that they said they couldn't pick it up from the location because the street was too small. I was able to get the vehicle to their yard on my own expense. No communication was given as to the status of the vehicle at that point. Then there was a 3 day delay due to their "truck breaking down". After this, there was multiple attempts made to find out the status and where my car was with zero communication. After another 3 days went by and they reached out and said delivery was going to be next day. The driver never showed up and again never communicated. This happened again the following day. My vehicle has still not reached me. read more

My previous review was deleted so I am reposting about our experience shipping our car from WA to VA (that is where I am posting the review from). If you're considering shipping your car with them and are reading the reviews to see if you should do it or not, stop right here and absolutely DO NOT use Diesel Auto Transport. We had the misfortune to deal with them through SGT auto transport (They work together). They picked up the car on October 5th and they refused to pick it up on the 6th and let us have it one more day, which in itself was inconvenient but at least we knew the car was going to be there on time, right? No, wrong. The car later sat in the same spot for 10 more days, when it was supposed to be delivered cross country on the 14th. The car is a Tesla and has connectivity. One day before the estimated time of arrival, we check the location of the car, only to find out it never left Washington state. We get in touch with SGT Auto who informs us that their carrier never informed them of an issue but after they gave them a call to check on the status, let them know there was an issue with their truck. Their communication with both SGT Auto and us was terrible. They kept lying about the estimated day of arrival. Their delay cost us a lot of money and the compensation they offered barely covered any of the costs we incurred due to their huge delay. They gave us 4 different delivery dates that they kept missing (without letting us know that the car still wasn't going to be delivered and that there was more delay, we had to call SGT auto to find out we still weren't going to receive the car / find out through the Tesla app). Worst experience ever, DO NOT use them. And cherry on top, while the car arrived in good condition, our car key/card was damaged. We do not have any pets and the car key was in perfect condition when we gave it to them. Picture for reference. read more

He told us the date and time for both the pickup and delivery, and he was there at both times he stated.
