Fortunately, a friend recommended a driver who successfully transported his car from California (CA) to Washington (WA) without any issues. This driver introduced me to his brother, who also works as a driver and broker. The broker was transparent about how the process works and did not ask for any deposit upfront. Several carriers contacted him, and although autodieselexpress was not the cheapest, they guaranteed a shorter delivery time. The broker recommended this company because he had previously worked with them and vouched for their professionalism and transparency. The process was smooth from start to finish: Called 1 day before pick-up day to confirm the time Pickup: The car was picked up on time (May 8). Delivery: The car was delivered on the agreed date (May 16). One minor inconvenience was that the car could not be delivered directly to my residence. Instead, we had to pick it up from a large parking lot at Walmart, likely due to the company's lack of facilities in Connecticut. However, considering my initial low expectations based on general industry reviews, this was a minor issue. I had braced myself for delays and unexpected charges, but none of that happened. Fabian and his wife Gladys from Diesel Auto Express made my first car shipping experience smooth from start to finish. I had seen a mix of positive and negative reviews online for both Montway Auto Transport and Diesel Auto Express, so I wasn't sure what to expect but my experience turned out to be excellent. Fabian is very friendly, but what really stood out to me was his incredible attention to time. If he says he'll be there at 8 AM, he's there exactly at 8 AM. I honestly don't know how he maintains that level of punctuality while handling so many vehicles, but it's impressive. Both pickup and delivery were right on schedule. I paid a little more going through Montway as the broker, but there were no surprises or bait-and-switch tactics the price I was quoted at the beginning is exactly what I paid. Communication was also top-notch. Fabian and Gladys were always responsive and kept me updated throughout the process. If I ever need to ship my car again, they'll be my go-to. Absolutely horrible experience with Sherpa Auto Transport and Diesel Auto Transport. bunch of liars I was originally told the transport would take only 3-6 days. Instead, it took 11 days with constant delays, excuses, and zero professionalism. I asked multiple times for basic updates and even requested a simple picture of the vehicle's mileage/odometer, and they still failed to send it. The driver barely answered the phone, and customer service was completely useless the entire time. Nobody seemed organized or capable of handling a serious business professionally. Every time I contacted them, I received different information and empty promises. I would NEVER recommend these companies to anyone, no matter how cheap their prices are. Saving a little money is not worth the stress, wasted time, poor communication, and unprofessional treatment. Stay away from these companies read more

Diesel Auto Express was very patient with us... We had to put off the transport three times and they were professional and understanding that when you are moving cross country, stuff happens. I have never shipped a car before and I am so glad my first time was with a fantastic outfit like Diesel. I had a difficult time trying to make contact with the accounting office and we ended up working around it. Our driver, Slau, was fantastic. Very professional and agreeable in locating a spot to deliver... our address is not somewhere they can bring a car hauler.... We are very satisfied in his timeliness and professionalism. They helped us out in a real time crunch. Our original plans fell through and they were able to arrange for pick up of our jeep very quickly the next day. Clean efficient and helpful. Fantastic. Possibly because of the very short timeline, our vehicle did get delayed for several days in their yard while the delivery could be organized . That was the only stress throughout this, largely because communication was not ideal. However, once the vehicle left the yard, it came quickly to the destination, and service and communication on that part of this was excellent. We would definitely reuse this company, their prices were fair, and they were extremely helpful when we needed assistance. Amber was extremely helpful in the pre-transport planning process, she explained how everything worked and how to plan for the transport. She also had a direct line so that I could reach her and follow up with her. She was very knowledgeable and helpful and made me feel like I was making an informed decision about which company to work with and how to do this in the best way for my preferences. Outstanding! I used Montway Auto Transport as the broker. Diesel Auto Express picked the load, and everything went perfectly. From Pahrump, NV to Johnson City, TN (2150 miles). I was the contact on both sides. Anderson was my driver and as soon as he picked it up, I left for Tennessee. He had one more to pickup in Vegas, and mine was first to be delivered. He stayed in contact once a day, letting me know where he was. I was pulling a travel trailer and only driving during daylight. He didn't push me, and we both arrived within an hour and a half of each other. I chose open transport, and the car arrived undamaged. I couldn't ask for a better experience. All this for $1500. My car is a restored 1967 Chevrolet Biscayne. read more

Great Customer Service Molly had reached out to me for delivery schedule and I had a minor request to delay the delivery date. She had placed the request and there was a miss communication among the organization and the car was delivered sooner than I expected. Not knowing the following day Molly reached out for delivery date, and told her it was already delivered and she asked for information of the driver She had looked in to the situation and found the problem then Apologized to me. My side of the situation had changed so the delivery was not a problem. I appreciate Molly's communication, investigating where the problem occurred and Sincere Apology. Yelp hopefully won't let them pay to remove this. They missed pick up by 3 weeks forcing me to use a rental car in my new town while waiting for my car. They left mud all over the driver's seat and doors and wheel. They delivered the car with 2 flat tires from sidewall damage (not repairable). If I did not know better, I would say they took my nice truck offroading and bouldering with the mud and sidewall damage (hard to get that kind of damage from just a sidewalk/curb). Worst of all is the refusal to accept any sort of responsibility and pretend it doesn't exist. Good luck getting them on the phone after delivery. They'll just give you an email address to make the claim and not respond. read more

I highly recommend using Diesel Auto Express the next time you need to transport a vehicle. This was my first time using a transport service of any kind and I was a little apprehensive. I didn't know what to expect and it's my baby after all, a 1982 MB 380SL. Once the driver was located it all came together seamlessly. They picked up the vehicle on time and the driver was spot on. He has excellent communication skills, let me know when he was in the area, how many drop offs he had to make prior to getting to me and he has a great sense of humour. I hired them to move my son's car from Missouri to the state of Washington. Communication was pretty thorough along the way and the guy that delivered the car did a great job getting it off the transporter. The car was in the same shape when it came off as it was went on I think it was a good value for the amount of money I was charged compared to some of the other transport companies that I checked with. The only thing I would tell people is to have a lot of patience because these transporters are driving all over the United States in inclement weather, so giving a three or four day range that you can have it picked up and the same thing on delivery. read more

I just say I dont usually purchase vehicles from California since I am in Georgia but I purchased a car in California and it was delivered in less than 4 days from purchase!!!! Super efficient haulers that use texts and phone calls to let you know when they will arrive! The company took great care when loading and dropping off the vehicle directly to my neighborhood!!! Joel the driver was courteous and very cooperative in making my vehicles pickup and delivery as convenient as possible given the circumtances. I had wished for door to door service but did not realize that the size of the carrier would not fit in either of my neighborhoods. Joel came as close as possible and did great each time. He took excellent care of my car and delivered it safe and sound. I think that I got a good deal from start to finish. I really got my money's worth and was happy with the cost.
