    Special sales ongoing.

All staff understand at least some Japanese. The place is packed with Japanese tourists. Some of the items were almost 50% off the original pricing. I ended up buying a tank shirt. They have clothes and forward for dudes, women and children. There are items not on sale that looked much more fashionable. That is usually the case, right? Never mind, they will eventually go on sale soon.

Okay two people who knew no ounce of japanese!! How can diesel do this? Duumbbb!!!

Environment: 5/5 Employees: 2/5 Product: 1/5 Cost: 1/5 Parking: 1/5 Total: 10/25 Synopsis: I love my best friend. Frantic, comical, spontaneous, and loveable! So my bestie wanted to change his clothes because he didn't like what he was currently wearing. We were in Waikiki and we had decided to go to Diesel..that's just because American Apparel wasn't there. We were sorely disappointed. Worse I saw two people trying to talk to Japanese customers in ENGLISH! They knew no ounce of Japanese. Um..okay. To put the cherry on top of that, none of them greeted us, and one of them with the beanie/beard took out his phone! Okay..class to "donkey-butt" all in less than 5 minutes of our time there. Environment: When you walk in here, everything is pristine. Even the employees are dressed quite nicely. You cannot help, but to stop and look at what they are wearing before moving on. Don't confuse this with how they look, because I did not find them attractive. Employees: Upon entering the store, my bestie and I did not even receive a greeting, just a blank stare. In addition to this, while I was looking around, the guy with the beanie took out his phone and started messing around with it. Totally unprofessional! Furthermore, there were Japanese customers there and both of the employees had no idea how to communicate with them. I was puzzled. You are in Waikiki where people from Japan are affluent. The company should have one Japanese speaker on the floor at all times throughout the day! I was tempted to help them, but was not in the mood of being a Good Samaritan. I just watched the utter embarrassment. What was one thoughtful gesture the guy in the beard asked me, while my bestie was trying clothes, was if I wanted to have a sit somewhere while I wait. I smiled, "No thank you." I awaited for a kind smile back, but to no avail. Oh well 2/5 for the store! Product: I am not sure if I am not in the scene or not, but I did not find anything that was nice in there. Some watches were too big for my frail/asian hands and had superfluous attachments to them that made it more of a burden than something amazing. The clothes appeared mediocre and the quality was similar to that of Uniqlou. There was one pair of shorts that my bestie wanted. I felt it in and out and the quality did not seem great for the price it was asking for. I am not foolish, clothes are just like medications - you are just buying the brand. Look at the label and it is the same ingredients! Cost: For what I saw, even if I had the money I would not buy the products. :/ Broke li'dat! Parking: I would not drive through Waikiki to come here, that's for sure. The parking in Waikiki will always be a 1 in my book. Geez, when is the rail system going to be available?

The Merrie Monarch vibes must have kicked in and I had to finally pop that cherry. I initially went with my hula family and used that time to soak everything in. The next day I went back alone to purchase a few items I couldn't stop thinking about. Both Nāpali and Hōkūpa'a hyped me up during my visit and all items I tried on was sold on the spot. Countless hugs and mahalo were exchanged during my encounter with them. Again, I had to go in a third time just to mahalo your (business) ʻohana during my trip to Hilo! Just about a week later I figured I would "window shop" again during my lunch break at South Shore Market and I was able to catch up with Hōkūpa'a. Then after some time of being educated about the items at the store I was sold again - resulting in me purchasing even more items than I did in Hilo! More hugs and mahalo were shared that day. I can't thank Nāpali a me Hōkūpa'a and the rest of the Salvage Public ʻohana enough for your continued legendary service every time I visit.

Hawaii's Finest Clothing is like walking into a club as this vibrant shop does start from it's storefront with the cool neon logo shining bright along side the huge window with their various logos. Walking in you can see that every corner of the shop is filled with amazing decor that sometimes felt secondary to the merchandise, even their music is showcased with flair. So much to choose from along with lots of clearance items making it a great deal shopping here is an experience to find clothing for the whole group. Service here is very friendly and helpful though I didn't find anything today know that I will be back to support this amazing local small biz as they have so many great clothing to express ourselves. Thank you!

First the female sales associate said they didn't carry the color he received, but he said he just wanted a small shirt. She said he had to return it to where he got it from....IT WAS A GIFT!!! He didn't know where they got it from. Then he found a small in the other shirt he received and the male sales associate asked if he had a gift receipt. No, we didn't have one. So he asked "when did you receive it?" My husband said on May 19. He said "Oh, that's more than 30 days-we can't exchange it." Today is the 20th of June. Seriously!?!?! One day late and no grace period!?!??! So now he's stuck with 2 shirts that he can't use....So CAUTION! DO NOT BUY ANY GIFTS from this place. I know if the person he got the gifts from knew they had such a strict policy, she would have warned him to rush and exchange them. Horrible customer experience. Never setting foot in this store again!

The brand has a long history in street culture, and this location reflects that identity with a clean and minimalist retail space focused entirely on the clothing. The store layout is simple and well organized, which makes it easy to browse through the collections. Racks feature a mix of graphic tees, hoodies, hats, and other staple pieces that the brand is known for. The designs maintain the classic Stüssy style that blends surf, skate, and street culture influences. One thing that makes this location interesting is the connection between the brand and Hawaii's surf culture. Stüssy originally emerged from surf roots in California, and seeing the brand represented in a place like Waikiki feels very fitting. The shop tends to attract both visitors and locals who are interested in streetwear and limited releases. The environment inside is relaxed and focused more on the clothing itself rather than flashy retail design. What stood out to me most was how the store maintains the authenticity of the Stüssy brand while fitting naturally into the Waikiki shopping scene. Overall, Stüssy Honolulu is a great stop if you are into streetwear or want to check out one of the well-known global brands located along Kalākaua Avenue.

I would stock up on socks and sweaters with abandon from the Uniqlos closer to my home in San Francisco. That was why it surprised me that I would seek out this familiar store at the mammoth Ala Moana Center. However, I had seen a local vlogger's YouTube video where he showcased the Hawaiian-exclusive clothing they sell here. Jamie W and I decided to drop by when we were at Ala Moana. Although not at the scale of the Tokyo Ginza flagship, it's one of the global chain's larger stores with an expansive multi-floor space. They offer the Brands Hawaiian Loco line, which is quite a distinct array of T-shirts spotlighting locally renowned businesses like Leonard's Bakery, Hawaiian Airlines, and Zippy's. I even bought one featuring a bowl of Zippy's saimin called Zipmin (Photo 4). I also really liked their line of aloha shirts because designs came from top quality Japanese block prints. I fell in love with one shirt based on Hokusai's "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa". I had never seen one like that before. They even offer opportunities to customize T-shirts and tote bags using exclusive designs from local artists. There's enough here to justify a shopping expedition.
