If you have a construction-loving kid and are within a 2 hour drive, Diggerland is worth checking out. We seem to have lucked out and didn't wait long for most rides (the diggers being the exception). Ride times are on the short side. Employees were nice and all seemed like high school or college kids. We contacted the park ahead of time and were allowed to bring food since my son has food allergies. We chose not to eat it at the park since the tables were really dirty. Bathrooms were dirty and surprisingly not kid-friendly, with tiny stalls, no stepping stools, and no paper towels. There was little shade and nowhere with AC to cool down for a few minutes. We had fun for 3-4 hours, but overall I feel Diggerland is overpriced. read more

Diggerland is located next to Sarah Sams which is about 30 mins outside of Philly. Free parking but come early as I'm sure the lot will fill up quick on busy days. I'll comment on the rides we visited. Once you come in head directly to he left to Argo Off road. This is a popular attraction and for good reason. My 8 year old was able to drive an 8 wheel all wheel terrain argo. The staff person sat in the front w/ him to make sure he didn't steer us in to a wall. Mini diggers was a fun attraction for my son. He was also able to operate this machinery and pick up a duck. They had a few things you can do w/ this and he picked the duck line. It's nicely separated in a few different lines so it moves quicker. Excavator express- You sit and you are lifted up and driven around. It's pretty cool and different. It's not fast so no worries. Dig Around - My son enjoyed this ride very much and got on line twice. I felt bad for the staff member because he went in circles with the ride. I'm sure that can't be good. Hopefully they give him enough breaks to get back to normal. Sky shuttle - It's a cool ride that brings you up really high. I mean really high. Rock wall was really cool and high. My son got about a third of the way up. They give you about 5 minutes which is fine. Ropes course... geeze don't get on this if you're afraid of heights. I went up to the second level and that was plenty for me. I saw smaller kids going up to the top and I give them props. My hubby wanted a pic with the camel which was on the top level. Not sure how he did it but he did.. The kid zone. This is a slide on steroids. It's up so high and it's so cool that I wanted to get in it :) My son loved this area. Worlds fastest backhoe... this was cute. Iy was $2 for a few minutes. Goats - We fed the goats. it was pretty cool watching them pull the strap for food. I guess they learn. They are far enough away that they won't bite you. Duck race - cute.... raced the kids a few times ... Gold Digger - I never get this type of attraction but the kids love it. I think it was $6 and my son did it and loved digging for gold. Too bad it's not real .lol If you are by Argo and see an old car sitting abandoned make sure you ask what time it's going to get crushed. For an extra cost and reservation an adult can crush the car. It was REALLY cool to watch and the person that did it said she loved it. We didn't go to the arcade or eat lunch here. It was not crowded as I expected as many people were probably scared off due to the passing showers. They offer a season pass at a reasonable amount so we ordered it (online) especially since they said we can use it for 365 days so even if we come once early next season we are still ok. Plus with memberships we can stop in for a half a day at a time and not feel exhausted. I noticed some people said it was hot there but Diggerland had fans with mists around the park. It was a nice refreshing treat to walk past it. We picked up a construction helmet which was reasonably priced. We wanted a yellow construction vest but either they were sold out or did not sell them. They only had pink ones. We got a pink one for a friend. The few things we picked up were reasonably priced plus you get a member discount. Will we be back? yes.. We've had this park on our list for a while because our boys absolutely love all things construction. We finally came here (a 5 1/2 hr drive) last weekend, and my boys (ages 5&7) absolutely loved this park and say it's the best trip they've ever been on. My husband and I were underwhelmed because it's a small park considering our relatively long drive, but this review is from the eyes of my sons, who should be the true judges of a kid-themed construction park anyway. We could've brought them here at younger ages because almost all of the rides are super kid-friendly. Kids over 42 inches can pretty much drive all of the equipment on the rides, and if kids are at least 36 inches, they can ride with an adult. We came on a Friday, and the park wasn't busy at all and we never had to wait in line. Our hands down favorite (yes, I said 'our' because we all enjoyed this ride) was the excavator row at the back of the park. You could use a wrecking ball to knock over bowling pins, pick up ducks with a hook, dig dirt and gravel, etc. We posted up here for well over an hour. Another favorite was the ropes course-we went on it with our boys. It gives you a great view of the park too. The soaring eagle zip line isn't worth the extra $6 in my opinion. It's a short ride (a few seconds), and it isn't anything special. Make sure you stop inside the air conditioned building right inside the entrance to eat your food. It's right next to the food stand, but I felt like a lot of people didn't realize it was for indoor eating. The food is surprisingly good for an amusement park. We enjoyed our grilled chicken sandwiches and the hot ham and cheese. Because of the drive, this park is a one and done for my family, but if we lived closer, I would definitely get a season pass. Great place for toddlers and young kids. They have so many options for rides and activities. The water park is really cool for all ages.

Sooooawful and overpriced. So many things were an extra cost including the very first diggers you see when you enter the park. The admission was $50 per person even for our 4 year old despite the park being tiny. Our 2 year old was too short for rides that seemed a little outrageous for him not to be allowed on. Examples include: a slow moving 4 person jeep on a track driven by someone else, a stationary kids sized digger that kids 10 inches taller can sit on themselves, our 32 inches could not even sit on an adults lap for, so he cried most of the time as he is used to going on rides with his brother at other amusement parks. There appears to be one place to order meals. Despite the park not being crowded I waited in an unmoving line for an hour to order food that was disgusting and overpriced. $17 for a raw chicken sandwich and chips, if you want French fries it's an extra $6. All the condiments are behind the counter slowing the line down further and despite there being a ramp to go up and order the food, there is no ramp to get down so wheelchairs and strollers are basically stuck after paying. You are not allowed to bring food in so if you have dietary restrictions or don't want to pay $100 for a family of 4 (two of whom are under 5), you're out of luck. When all said and done we paid $250 for food and rides only. My 4 year old who is obsessed with trucks was underwhelmed and wanted to leave after 90 minutes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY like we certainly did. Too bad, it's on our way to an annual vacation and was hoping to make it an annual trip but we will never go back to that dump. read more

It was a beautiful day out and this was the days event for the family ! A fun day at diggerland USA My son lit up the minute we walked in ...anything cars, trucks ...he's in ! It wasn't crowded and that was a relief. The excavators and truck rides were fun. There's a slide and play area for the kids as well Of course for the smaller kids you have to accompany them while driving. There's a gift shop at the entrance and there's a break room , ice cream and lunch area for the kids after all that running around. The park closes at 6. Overall our little guy had fun and slept on the way home so for us mission accomplished. read more

I am permantly disabled in a wheelchair. I was not allowed to bring in a half a bottle of soda to use to take medication. In addition there was 6 people selling tickets but only 1 checking bags and strollers on a full sun ninety degree day. read more

Save your money. Flew from South Florida to bring my little guy here and was instantly disappointed when we pulled up. Very small park that is made to seem so much bigger online. Ticket prices were steep at $45 a piece- no discount on kids unless under 36inches they are free. Food was disgusting, I was given a pretzel harder than a rock and when I asked for a new one was given on equally as hard. All the young staff expect for a few of the young guys were hating life and it showed on their faces and their interactions Hate to be so negative but want to save you from the disappointment. Great experience!! I was hesitant based on several reviews and things I have heard but I was pleasantly surprised. Water park and rides were both clean, well maintained, staff was friendly, no lines (not very crowded either the day we visited), bathrooms were clean. We spent all day and the kids had a blast. The only down side is there wasn't a ton of shade but we were able to enter and exit the park with our wristbands when we decided to leave for lunch and then come back in. Back here again at my kids request. Since it's a school holiday (but not for every school) and it's a cooler day I figured we'd have a great time. WRONG! This place is seriously understaffed today. The lines look short but because each ride is staffed with one person it takes forever to get on anything. They have one worker harnessing every child for the rock climbing and rope course. Every soda machine is sold out so you are forced to go to the snack bar for drinks. For a bottled drink they actually make you wait in the food pickup line. The machines for cards in the game room don't work. So get in yet another line at the counter for a card. Great idea but poorly executed! Each ride really needs a minimum of 2 workers to keep things flowing. I can honestly say this is our last visit. The lines are so long we've been on 4 rides in 4 hours. When I went to Diggerland in July 2022, I was looking forward to it due to my sisters constantly raving about it. We entered the park and I immediately wanted to leave. Expensive for what it is. Many of the attractions are basically the same thing just with a slightly different machine so things get monotonous. I did not come when the water park was open so maybe that would change my opinion but we also paid less for that reason and do not feel there is enough value for the price. Finally made it out to Diggerland even though we live only 25 minutes away. It didn't disappoint, our 3 yo son had a great time riding the various tractors and vehicles, playing with the digger, running around in the playground. I was pretty impressed that he was able to operate the excavator with very minimal supervision, that was a blast! It was beautiful 80 degree day so the atmosphere was perfect for this type of activity, can't imagine how it'd be like in 90 plus weather. The only knock is that that lines are bit lengthy, at least at some place like Hershey Park there are abundant number of rides. We have season passes to the aquarium, zoo, Franklin Institute, and contemplating getting one for Diggerland, however, even though our kid had fun, this wasn't one of those I want to go multiple times a year type park. I must mention the food though. Yes, the lines are long, however, one thing I can appreciate is that they do set expectations. And unlike places like the zoo or aquarium, I see them working their butt off to get you the order. And at the end everything is fresh. read more

100% as advertised. No more or less than the videos you can find on YouTube show. They do a great job with the modified equipment and have quite a few different machines you can operate or ride on. Honestly I think negative reviews are mostly people that expect too much and don't understand the difficulty with modifying and making sure kids can do this type of stuff in a Fun and safe environment. I work at Caterpillar and have a passion for construction and mining machinery my 5 y/o seemed to inherit. We flew from Illinois for this place and it was worth it to me. The park is big enough to fill a day for sure. A surprising bonus was the water park. They have a very large 0-2ft kids swim/splash pad area that my 5 y/o spent two hours playing in after a hot day on the rides. They also have a larger pool area and some slides, but we just stayed in the smaller section. I was almost scared away from this trip from some of the negative reviews so while I don't review things often, I wanted to make a point to give my thoughts on this park. While it's a far trip for us, if my younger son likes construction equipment as much as my older boy, we will all be making the trip back here in a year or two! Im suprised to see many bad reviews. This place was great. The concept which I love especially having a 5 year old who is obsessed with anything construction. I would say in my opinion If you have older kids who are looking for that "typical" amusement park..high rides, roller coasters and so on this isnt the place for that. Its a theme park. The rides were fun for a small child i would compare the thrill level in comparison of rides at a fair or carnival but again they were construction themed making it more exciting. The service was so so..some people were very friendly and some were just getting through the day..which for me wasnt a deal breaker. And just like all theme/amusement parks the food is a rob for your money. So I decided to skip the food there. Overall I would give this place a 4 star. I've been trying to get here since it opened (and I was one of the chumps that got duped into getting an engraved paver stone I thought would be a fun surprise for the rest of the family when we finally made it down here) and it took 3 years but the family finally made it down. There's maybe 12-15 rides and a small arcade. My kids are 8 and while there were a few rides they were still too short to do solo - they were already getting a bit old for a chunk of the rides to have any real pop or excitement. While the lines are never technically long... they take forever. We got there right at 10am thinking we could beat the rush but what happens is that some rides they'll only have 1 (Argo Off Road) or 2 (Mini Diggers) trucks going so a line of only 10 people could take 20 minutes until you're up. (Later on both of those rides added another truck but we'd already wasted our time earlier in the day on them.) Other rides (like The Greased Beast and Sky Shuttle) don't live up to the expectation while you're in line and fizzle before they're over. After a handful of songs over the sound system you'd hear some in-house commercials hyping up their places to eat lunch so we headed over to 'The Munch Box' and... it's only one young kid overwhelmed and over half the menu wasn't available. (I hate hot dogs but that was basically the only 'real food' option. Ugh.) This place was a 'one and done' for us. A really friendly staff (that would benefit from drinking Jolt Cola so they could move just a bit faster all around) and a few cool things (Backhoe Adventure and the Rock Wall were my family's all-around favorites) aren't enough for us to make the 90+ minute hike back down again. (And the kicker? I never could find that damn paver stone I paid for all those years ago. I'd asked a few of the workers but none of them seemed to know or could help.) read more

One of the few times I wish for the cliched half star! Yup, 3.5 here for now. I can see why the reviews vary so widely from effusive 5 stars to angry lone stars..... so let me try and break it down for you fellow Yelpers. (Note: experiences may vary!) Pro tip #1: Check the freaking weather forecast. It is brutal here in hot weather. I mean, it's not really Diggerland's fault but the set-up precludes there being much shade for safety reasons. It's large sandy giant areas with bumpers for the construction rides and smaller self-driving (if over 42 inches tall) tractors etc. hence it is hotter than Hades on a summer day. Add in little kids who burn and tire easily plus overpriced food & water= potential disaster. But... on a cool spring or fall day, totally different experience I'd imagine. There is a pavilion but otherwise mostly concrete and sand. Pricing: The park is fairly large and the lines can be long for some rides. A one day pass is exorbitant, yet an annual pass is only $50 a person. Don't bother going with a day pass unless A: you are on a vacation and this is one of your destination spots or B: you're rich. We were neither, but luckily Auntie bought the whole family annual passes. It kind of sucks they don't have a family pass, but then again if you only have 1 kid it's fairer. Lucky us have 3.... :/ Food: think movie theater prices. Eat first or pack up snacks in a cooler to leave in car. Reentry allowed. Or just mentally prepare yourself to drop cash. The only deal is the $9 plastic souvenir cup. Soda and lemonade refills only cost .99 all season. It's big enough that all the little kids shared one & we refilled it a few times when the food lines were short. Paid for itself already. Otherwise, we sucked it up and bought overpriced bad pizza etc. Next time I will have us covered for a minivan parking lot picnic. Sigh. Far cry from our tapas & wine filled child-free lives, but that's parenthood. Target audience: The age range most likely to have a good time? Probably 6-10 year olds over 42 inches tall. 36 inches tall you can ride but not drive, still fun. Under 36 inches? Leave them babies at home or have an extra adult to stand around with them all day bc that baby ain't riding shit. Free to get in though. But 42 inches and over? Jackpot until that kid is too old and jaded for a place called Diggerland. There are a ton of cool things for that kid to do. My 7 year old drove me & his little 39 inch brother around in a little tractor jeep type thing-y (with staff member). It was the most safely terrifying experience. Almost worth the 30 minute line wait. He was beyond thrilled to drive. Next visit will be the bumper car derby race track. And the fixed place backhoes that you operate over little gravel pits. This was our second visit to Diggerland. I needed to write a review this time. Our first visit in May 2017 was very fun and worthwhile. Diggerland has made numerous additions and upgrades since that visit two and a half years ago. This is an excellent short-stay vacation destination. We (two grandkids, two parents, two grandparents) flew into Philly from Hartford for our follow up visit. Diggerland is a construction vehicle adventure park. It has a kids side and an adult side. We were in the kids side where there are dozens of vehicles available to ride in, operate, and drive. It is heaven for my grandson as he is enamoured with heavy equipment. Frankly, the kids side is just as fun for adults. There are strict height requirements for operating the vehicles and quite often the smaller kids will be in your lap as you drive. Additionally, there were many non-vehicle activities like pumpkin chunking, axe throwing, arcade games, and barrel rolls. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The park is very clean. The food is decent. The gift shop is huge with many unique construction related items. This is a great place for the family. They are adding a water park next year making it a more attractive destination. read more

It can be brutal on extremely hot day because you will be surrounded by asphalt. I wish the theme park was open earlier then the water park (2020 hours water park opened at 10am, theme park noon) so I could do that first. so in my opinion the water park is best for summer days. Most of the equipment was in good working order, some quite weathered after several years of continuous use and the arcade area could be updated. The safety barriers that are spread around the driving areas could be painted as most colors have faded from the sun. We rode on every ride that was available and only noticed two employees disinfecting after each person went through. This was extremely alarming as the park states on its 'Health and Safety' page that it is following all COVID-19 protocols. There were no clearly marked hand hygiene facilities (except the bathrooms), limited signage and no broadcast instructions or directions over the PA system. Overall, we had a great time as the numbers were low in the park and the lines were short. Luckily, we had our own sanitizer with us that we used frequently. read more

My family and I had a great time. The park was clean, the staff was extremely nice, and the rides were a lot of fun for every one of us. We didn't have issues with long lines and we were there on a Saturday. We live over 3 hours away but for us it was worth the drive. Most of the lines for the mini excavators were covered which was nice as well as plenty of covered seating throughout the park. Food prices were about what you would expect to pay for an attraction park. As well as gift shop prices. I do feel like for the Greased Beast, since the attendant has to strap you in and unbuckle you, there probably should be 2 people because that was our longest waiting ride and when we got on, we saw that was why. read more

We surprised my son who is 5 years old. He loves construction trucks. We went mostly on all the rides (we couldn't do the motion rides.) The rope climbing equipment needs improvement, the staff is helpful. The arcade was awesome. What we didn't know about the arcade is when you win a points it gets loaded onto the card. If you need help or just curious about something ask questions. I would recommend anyone with kids to come here. I get to be a kid again with my son. The one thing I forgot to put on was sun block lotion, and snacks. The only thing I had in my bad was three bottle of water. We were there from 10-3. Wendy's is 5 mins away. read more

This is a place for small kids but not sized for small kids. The dry rides can be hard to navigate through and find. The water park was great. the food was HORRRRIIBLLEEEEEE. Our chicken wasn't cooked and the girl behind the counter gave me the BIGGEST attitude about me saying something about it then proceeded to talk garbage about me to her co workers while they reheated the chicken. The salad had literally no dressing. The "lemonade" was water and 9 lbs of sugar. All of that plus a grilled cheese and nachos (that i didn't ask for i asked for a cup of cheese) was $72!!!!!!!! We came on a cool spring day so we didn't experience the heat issues some other people complained about. Some of the rides had lines that didn't move that fast but we came for a relaxing Sunday and weren't in a huge rush. Plus, we have a school age child and a toddler so we were able to split up and do separate rides which made the waiting in line time seem like less. Kinda pricey for what you get ($130+ for two adults and two kids) but my two boys LOVED it. HELPFUL TIP: buy tickets online or they give $10 off each ticket with a AAA or military discount. Tl;dr - a poorly executed touch a truck where you can drive the vehicles. Just got back from a visit here. We arrived at 11am and for 2 hours had a fantastic time. My boys (3 and 6) were too small to drive vehicles themselves, so my husband and I enjoyed spending one on one time driving and discovering the vehicles. We ate our picnic lunch from home in the parking lot. When we re-entered the park, it was slammed! Our 5-10 minute wait skyrocketed to 45 minute waits. The rides were not well-staffed for the school-break crowd. There were only two vehicles operating at a time. There was line cutting, and overall grumpiness from all employees. I'm so glad we went, we had a nice time enjoying the day as a family...its been a bucket-list item for some time. Will I go back or recommend to friends? Probably not. read more

092516 Ok we went today after putting it off because we decided going during the summer months would be crazy as there is very little shade in that whole park. No water fountains, and no misting stations. The admission price was $80+ for 2 adults and 1 child. We also read the reviews on their overpriced, long lined food stand. And instead we packed a cooler. A whole lot cheaper and easier this way. Just take a break, eat lunch in your car, go back in. You can't bring ANY outside food or beverage in. ( And they're pretty strict about it ) As for the rides. They were fun. Except the steam roller. You literally can walk faster than that thing. Makes for longer wait lines and conspiracy theories to build. The park is clean, the staff is polite, friendly and helpful. Be warned, The exit is through the gift shop in case your kids have a case of the "Give me Get me Buy me's". Diggerland is geared for younger kids only of about 10yr. and below and mostly boys, but height minimums are in place for several attractions. Scoop it, climb it and ride painfully slow construction type vehicles. I believe there are only two Amusement type rides available and one pay a lot extra Skyride ($6 per person to shoot down about a 150 yard wire, yeah way too highly priced). Our 9 and 11 year olds were barely entertained for 3 hours. Embracing the American bourgeoisie in an Amusement park seemed intriguing, but a miss as a whole. A lack of thrill to say the least. They did dig the rock climbing wall and the 4 story zip walk. From what I've read if the park is packed you better be prepared to grow old waiting for long periods of time because the rides in general are extremely slow and did I mention they're slow because this is a theme here. They only allow you to bring water into the park, but they will allow you to leave and come back. The parking lot is extremely close to the front entrance so you can easily go out to tailgate, but not the barbecue type, but go out and eat a sandwich throughout the course of the day. The staff seemed to be helpful and friendly and the park is relatively clean. About $17 per person to kill a few hours isn't all that terrible, but not worthy of a sought out family destination (if your kids are on the older side as afore mentioned) by any means. read more

We took my son's cub scout pack to Diggerland and the kids had a good time. The rides were mainly aimed at kids below 8 years old because they were very slow. We had a good time, the adults enjoyed the climbing tower. It is worth the long drive, but bring your own food. My one complaint is the food service. If you are not going to let people bring in outside food, then the food you offer better be something worth waiting an hour for. The "made to order" line wears thin when you wait 45 minutes for a hot dog and chicken tenders. Meanwhile you look inside and there is lots of food sitting under warming lights. Diggerland is a great concept and we were excited to be able to operate construction equipment. The downside is that waiting in line takes a long time in relation to the amount of time you get to spend on each attraction. It wasn't even that busy when we went last Saturday and my three year old didn't have enough patience to wait. The workers didn't seem to be too enthusiastic to be there; I don't think I saw one smile. What was the worst though was the food line. Yes the line was long but we ordered a burger, hot dog, chicken tenders and nachos and it took at least an hour to get it. That is unacceptable, especially for sub par food. The bread to meat ratio in both the burger and hot dog were not right - way too much dry bread. The fries also tasted off, like they were fried in old oil or something. Getting food wasted two hours of time we could've spent on attractions. Overall, Diggerland is a fun place but it requires a lot of waiting. read more

Has the potential to be great, but....... This place is SO understaffed it's not even funny. Went on a Tuesday morning when it was pretty dead. Wasn't enough ride attendants for each ride, so 10 minute wait for each ride just for someone to run the ride. Lunch in the back corner was more of the same, way understaffed. Pretzel was hard, stale and inedible. Cool idea for a park, just need to hire more staff.... read more

Spent a fun day here with my family. My 7 year old and 3 year old had a great time. We started out on all the rides. The giant Spin Dizzy was intense! My 3 year old loved all the tractors that he could drive and the real excavators! My 7 year old loved all the big kid rides! We finished off the hot day at the water park! We brought our 8 year old Granddaughter to Diggerland Monday, July 1st. It was better than I expected! The concept of a Construction Equipment Adventure Park is unique. To get a real overview of all the equipment and rides, Google YouTube videos, rather than their website. They employ friendly, knowledgeable, energetic young people. The rest rooms are clean. There are food concessions, but we went back to our car for lunch that I had packed. The seasonal "membership" is worth it. A member (of any age) can bring in a guest for $14.95. We were here for a private event, so I can't speak for how Diggerland is during the regular season when it's open to the public. But as for our experience here, it was awesome! I have never seen, nor heard of anything like this place. An amusement park where the kids can operate actual construction equipment?! Where was this when I was growing up??? We had an amazing time here. The staff was great, friendly, and very helpful and patient with the kids. They all seemed happy to take the time to show the kids around the trucks, and explain the operation to them. Just a really unique place that's a lot of fun, too! I think my wife and I had as much fun just watching the kids play as they did actually running the equipment. Well done, Diggerland! read more
