What a magical place for your young ones to come and enjoy everything. The story books have to walk age-appropriate rise for kids, probably five and younger good value for your dollar you can bring in your lunch. You can sit in picnic and bring in drinks not a problem or buy something there. They have animals to look at water activities. You can feed the animals. You can go on mini little rides and perfect my speed after having children these are my grandchildren I was taking around. Of course you must stop at the store on your way out and they will hold onto something because everything looks wonderful. Have yourself a fun time at this park! I visited "Storybook Land" with my mother, and 5-year old nephew on a Saturday afternoon on April 26th, 2025. It cost $104.97 for three PreSeason discount tickets. We drove almost two hours from Newark to Egg Harbor Township because we heard great things about this place. It's known for having a fairytale-themed park with lots of creative statues and interactive sets that represent popular fables like "Mother Goose" and "Goldilocks and The Three Bears." The location is smaller than most parks I've been to, which is good for little kids who want to run to every ride. In a span of two hours, my family and I got on everything minus a couple attractions. There is ample parking for cars, and the entrance is bold with its large sign and white and red castle. The park played Disney music, which was soo cute! I remember hearing soundtracks from Mulan, Cinderella, and The Little Mermaid. None of the rides felt too scary for kids, even the roller coasters weren't extreme. There's also rides where kids can feel like they're driving a car, and a train that shows you the entire park. My favorite ride was "Bubbles the Coaster" and "The Rockin' Tug." The only issue with this park are the food selections. The lunch that my family had here wasn't good- at least from the cafe right next to the exit/gift shop; everything from the cheeseburger, french fries, and cookies tasted stale and more on the cold side than the hot side. I wouldn't recommend ordering food here, but everything else was great. I don't think I'll visit again only because it's so far from where I live, but this was a good one-time experience that I was able to have with my family. Finally took my kids here after being on my list to check out for awhile. The park is fairytale themed with setups depicting various nursery rhymes such as mother goose, jack and Jill etc. This a nice, smaller, amusement park with rides aimed at younger kids. There are two roller coasters but they are more kiddie like. I would compare it to Dutch Wonderland in PA. I liked that this park is more low key than the bigger amusement parks. My kids, who range from age 1-6, loved it. We spent a little over half a day here and were able to hit everything. The lines were not bad at all and we went on a weekday in the summer. I got our tickets off Groupon which was a much better deal and what made me finally pull the trigger on going. Parking is free. I was glad to see the park is very shaded because we came on a hot day. There is also a small splash pad to cool off at. We ate lunch at their cafe which was fine but on the pricier side (like in any other amusement park). I would probably opt to pack lunches if we go again which is a nice option to have. Overall, I would defintley come back. What a fun place for little kids! We came on a rainy/cloudy day so the park was completely empty and we had no lines. I think the kids need to be 2-5 to really enjoy this place. Many of the rides had 36" height requirements. With that said, our 1.5 yo toddlers found a bunch of rides they liked. The food is bad. They have a ton of options for kids but for adults, i would recommend packing your own picnic/lunch. They have ice cream, funnel cake, etc if you're looking for a treat. This is a MUST visit if you have kids under 7 and are around the area. The amusement park is small but good enough to entertain the kids for a few hours. This place is absolutely clean! Everything was so nice and the lines were short. Parking is available for free but it could be limited. Majority of the things to see are vintage which is different than other parks. Storybook Land had been on my radar for over a year, but we just didn't have time to prioritize it. Then, a friend gave us a ticket for my son's birthday gift, so we finally visited this September. The park is very clean, safe, and kid-friendly. I appreciate the greenery and it was incredible how many hanging baskets of impatients they had! It added such floral color and cheeriness to the park, but what work and expense to buy and maintain (for those unfamiliar, impatients are annuals so they need to be re-bought each year). Anyway, my mom friend and I admired and were impressed by this thoughtful detail. I was angry to be misled at the snack shop when told the fries are NOT batter dipped before paying $8 for them, only to be given BATTER DIPPED fries! They honestly deserve to lose a star for this but above mentioned flowers canceled out this perturbance. But BEWARE THEY SELL BATTER DIPPED FRIES and we had a gluten-intolerant child in our party so that's dangerous and a liability to misinform customers! The rides were all animals, cartoons, or other kinds of kid themes, bright colors, and eye-catching. The rides entertained our party of 4 kids, age 5-12, and they went on all of them as a group. Even the most intense rides (and I was a little surprised at the drop tower type ride, and the speed of the roller coaster) were fun for our younger ones, thrilling, frankly. As part of admission in the fall, we got to do a hay maze, and decorate a free pumpkin with face stickers, a nice touch. All the staff I encountered were friendly (though food service was misinformed), and the roller coaster guy let the kids ride consecutively a few rounds as long as no one new wanted to get on. I always thought Storybook land was one of those off-brand, knock off type of Amusement parks; somewhere between a pop up carnival/fair and something like Sesame Place, but I was actually really pleasantly surprised by the bang for our buck. If you've happened to read my review on Six Flags Great Adventure, or as I call it, WAIT for Adventure, you'd know that I am NOT a fan of amusement parks, by and large. The prices, the lines, the outrageous prices, the parking, THE JAW DROPPING PRICES...but Storybook land actually delivered some actual fun for the price of admission. Full disclosure, I have a 3 year old, and she loved every second, as this park is definitely skewed more toward the younger crowd. We went on a Sunday, mid afternoon, and were able to get on EVERY SINGLE RIDE, and even my daughters favorite rides (Bubbles The Dragon rollercoaster!) MULTIPLE times. Most of the rides have a height limit of 36 inches, which is right about the size of your average 3-4 year old, and there are a few rides for slightly older kids, so I'd say you're good to go here if you've got anyone from 3-10. There were plenty of rides; some decent, some pretty lame, but like I mentioned, if your kids do find a handful that they like, they shouldn't have a problem riding them again and again. Parking is free in the attached lot, so that's a bonus as well. The only knocks are the "attractions;" like the Sleeping Beauty house, or the Alice in Wonderland maze, or the 3 bears cottage....they were just super lame, OLD animatronic crap. They couldn't even keep my 3 years old attention for 5 seconds. The food, while you can order ahead of time on an app, is severely overpriced junk. I think a hotdog was like $6. That's insane. We decided to skip eating overpriced, reheated concession crap, and just hit one of the many spots along the main drag as we were leaving. This was such a sweet place for the little one! We went on an off week between school being done and before camps starting and it was the perfect time. There weren't any lines and overall everything seemed clean enough including the bathrooms. There are so many great things to say about this place. Parking is free! Admission is affordable! The park is the cleanest park you will ever go to. The landscaping makes me jealous that my yard isn't as beautiful. Food prices are a little high for what you get but still way cheaper than the other amusement parks. We also don't come for the food and there is the option to bring your own. The staff is friendly and well organized. The lines for the rides move really fast. All the rides feel safe and are also very clean. I'm beyond impressed with Storybook Land. The whole park seems to be shaded so you're not roasting in the sun. Even the bathrooms were spotless. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it here. It's my second time here this year and our sons 5th. Season passes for us next year is a no brainer. This was a perfect spot for my six-year-old (interest wise, I'd say the park maxes out with eight-year-olds). She enjoyed the rides with a bit of thrill--and wished they lasted longer. After tears during her first meeting with Bubbles, she insisted we ride again...and a third time. We loved the Rockin' Tug and Turtle Twirl, where on the third consecutive ride we scored extra zip and spun 'til we nearly wound up in AC. Kudos are due to the friendly/patient staff, clean facilities, and easygoing vibe that doesn't require planning. Thank you! read more

I'm very disappointed that I never got a call back from the OWNER like I requested. If you're going to change your policies from no expiration dates on your tickets to not only having expiration dates, but on top of it, making it very restrictive, with black out dates etc then expect that there will be some unhappy customers, and come up with something to make them happy. That is if you care about Customer Service. Please don't talk to me about it not being fair to make exceptions for people. You ultimately want your patrons to return and you want to have high customer satisfaction. In order to do that, you need to find ways to appease unsatisfied customers. Turning a deaf ear to issues that are brought up by many, will inevitably harm you as a business. You should never be okay hearing from a patron that they will never come back to your park!! I respect rules, but if rules create families having negative experiences at your facility and will probably never return, then it's time to reevaluate your rules. read more

We went back to Story Book Land this past weekend. My oldest Grandchild is now 4 and the youngest is only 1. The older Grandchild had a fantastic time. She is at the age now that she absolutely loves all the rides and had a fantastic time. The 1 year old liked the carousel and one or two other rides. They have a small water area for the kids. It consists of small water fountains that the kids like, and perfect on a hot day. So bring a towel. You can also have birthday parties there and bring in coolers with food, drinks and have a picnic if you want. Tickets are cheaper if you buy them online, but if you want a discount for senior citizens, military, police, EMT then you need to purchase at the door. I think you save $ 3.00 per ticket so I would suggest to compare prices online and at door with discount to see which is cheaper, but it is reasonably priced I think. Parking is free. I would recommend this and have to anyone with smaller children, I would say under 10 maybe as the rides and activities are geared for a younger crowd. The park is shady, extremely well maintained and staff is very friendly. We did go to their Christmas event two years ago and it was beautiful. If there's a textbook type of amusement park that's perfect for little ones/toddlers, this is it. First off, this place is manageable - meaning it's not too big and not too small. You don't feel like your feet are going to fall apart when you walk around even on a scorching hot day. Second, this place is quaint and well landscaped. That means a reasonable amount of shade, seating and also well managed so that everything feels logical. It's not like some parks that are overly focused on the action oriented rides, they take care to keep to the nursery tale theme and do a great job with it. Third, the experience is always fun in that you don't spend so much time waiting on long lines or dealing with oppressive crowds. Lastly, the staff here is very friendly and professional. They also do a good job of keeping things moving quickly. They do have some fun experiences and even the one little roller coaster is pretty good for little kids. I would absolutely recommend this park for those between 3-6 years old especially. It's about as good of a park as you can ask for both the little ones and parents alike. I'm remiss that I didn't know about this place all the times we took our little one to AC or down to the shore. Storybook Land is seriously a gem and a dream for a toddler parent who can be assured that their toddler can have space to run around safely and ride every single attraction! We even achieved a milestone of having her ride her first amusement park ride by herself! While yes the characters and displays are completely outdated and borderline racially and ethnically offensive and I don't know if PETA would approve the well-being of some of the animals, the place has been kept impeccably clean and well preserved. We visited during COVID and the staff were meticulous in spraying down every seat used and having riders alternate sitting every other seat to ensure the disinfectant had time to dry. A wonderful amusement park for kids under 8ish (depending on your kid!) My 6 and 8 year olds still love it because of its attention to detail! Storybookland is always well shaded in the summer, and the rides are adorable. There are also stations with different nursery rhyme dioramas. The food game here is a bit weaker than the traditional amusement park, so most people bring in their own food and eat on one of the many picnic tables. The employees are very friendly. Don't forget to bring quarters to get food for the goats and deer! Free parking out front. read more

Family owned. Been here since I was a kid during the Kennedy administration (and before). Living nearby, when my daughter was young, I'd get a season pass each year. I have a stack of about 12 of them. We would stop by for an hour or for a day. With little kids you can easily spend a whole day trying all the rides, having lunch, snacks, ice cream, and not be bored. You might be tired though. The place has plenty of attractions and rides for all young ages. From very simple fascinating scenes like the Three Little Pigs House, to Sleeping Beauty, to the long time Shoe House. My daughter loved to ride the "flower pots" (small Ferris wheel), the Olde Cars (Model T cars on a track), the roller coaster (kid size), the big slide, and all the other attractions. I honestly just loved to walk along with her on the sidewalk paths beneath the tall shade trees. The place is immaculate and the grounds are kept in beautiful condition. Even on hot days, it was a nice walk in the shade. And if it is really super hot, there is now a water play area with a soft outdoor floor. My daughter is grown now and I really miss being able to take her to "Book Land" and she called it. However she will still go with me to see the millions of Christmas lights there on December nights. We went from open to close as it was $100 for the four of us. We did pack our own lunch which saved us a few dollars. The kids had a ton of fun and there were a few rides for the adults. We purchased out tickets on line so $100 was the discount price. Nice, clean park with storybook themed rides. Mostly for children under ten years old. We enjoyed ourselves and so did the kids. One of the last bastions of innocence for kids and their parents. This is an affordable amusement park based on the classic Grimm fairy tales. It has a sweetness and charm about it. Best for kids aged 7 and under. Started sometime in the 1950s this local favorite feels more like a homegrown project started by a loving father that grew into a proper amusement park. It's not as big as Disney where you need to plan for days to do everything. It's doesn't have the cramped chaos of Chuck E Cheese or Dave and Buster where there is a money grab around every corner. The people that work there were all friendly, polite and happy. For one set price you can ride all the rides. Plenty of trees shield you from the sun. Lines are short if any. All rides are kid-sized so kids can ride everything. There are also vending machines for drinks and one restaurant for a snack or lunch with kid favorites like mac and cheese and chicken tenders. The gift shop is also reasonably priced. My friend's 6-year old twins from out of town rode every ride twice and absolutely loved it. They told us this was the best day they've ever had despite having been to Orlando, Six Flags and Disney cruises. Excellent place to spend a day. Kids will be satisfied, parents won't be overly tired, and you'll have money leftover to grab a nice bottle of wine on your way home. read more

I had booked my four year old daughters birthday party here without visiting in person and took a chance based on the photos and reviews. I was looking for an outdoor party with tons of things for kids to do, a splash pad area and a nice place to share a good meal with family and friends. I am so happy to say that the birthday party far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is amazing. The artwork and some statues are of yesteryear but they are stunning and charming works of art. The trees are mature and almost feel like they're hugging you, it's so friendly. It's great having lots of shaded area so that your not baking in the sun. The grounds are beautifully kept and maintained, greenery and flowers everywhere, everything is painted and polished. The garbages are clean and not overflowing like other kids places. The bathrooms were IMMACULATE and right across from the Birthday area which was perfect. The birthday cake area is the most charming little nook that was perfect for 9 kids and friends and family. Who doesn't want to have a party under a giant birthday cake! There are 3 round tables, plenty of seating and other white tables available for food and cake set up. I feel like parties with about 15 children would be perfect for this size area. The area is also fenced off so toddlers don't have the opportunity to wander off and everyone stays together. Our host Elaina was excellent. She hustled when I asked for things, helped get our stuff out the car, helped the stuff back in the car, took our food orders, ran back and forth for drinks and was pleasant the entire time. She gave TOP NOTCH customer service. She was super friendly and by the end of it she made it seem like we were FAMILY. The pizzas were great, thin crust and yummy. They were made fresh at a pizzeria and kept hot and yummy for the kids. Once the party time was over we enjoyed all the attractions. There was so many areas the kids enjoyed. The splash pad was their favorite and the mist under the lighthouse was refreshing. There was so much to do and we didn't even get to everything. My 4 year old and 9 year old had a blast! We drove 2 1/2 hrs and it was well worth it! We can't wait to go back for their special events. The price was very reasonable as far as birthday parties go. Near NY the price for something similar is nearly double! I kinda don't want anyone else to know how amazing this place was. It definitely my new best kept secret! I've been trying to find a outdoor kiddie playground(neighborhood parks are always crowded on sunny days cause is free) that's not overly crowded for quite some times now. Somehow I saw Storybook Land on FB during their early bird specials. Unfortunately, at that time, I wasn't considering going because it is a 2 hour and 10 minutes drive for round trip from where I live. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to go since it says toddler friendly. I purchase 3 tickets online: me, hubby, and our 2 year old(1 and under is free) daughter. It is a little cheaper online and you don't need to print, just bring in your smart phone, and you are good to go. Oh yeah, free parking is definitely a BONUS. Oh boy, the reviews definitely didn't disappoint! When we push through the gate, children music welcome us to the park. As we walk to the Ferris wheel, we saw lots of cartoon characters, even the trash cans and the water fountain are cartoon too. We tried the dino ride, the elephant ride, J&J railroad, candycane express, teacup twirl, feed the goats, etc. There are a few rides that she is not tall enough to get on. But there is still plenty of fun for our 2 year old. We try to get on as many rides as possible but since we got there at 3 and the park closes at 5, we didn't try everything. read more

My first FIVE STAR REVIEW EVER. Yes that's right. FIVE STARS for Storybook Land! What an amazing, wonderful, fantastic experience here! First off - I have to talk about the staff. These kids (yes I sound like I am 90 years old - but they are high school and college age and I am over 40 so I can call them "kids") are the absolute nicest, kindest, most professional staff I have ever been around. Hats off to whomever hires and trains them - so polite and professional and helpful. I cannot say enough about all of the staff here. Second - the park itself is immaculate - so clean and well kept. It is mind blowing how clean it is - no trash anywhere - everything scrubbed down and completely sanitized and freshly taken care of. Really shows how much time and effort they spend on cleaning and maintaining the park. Third - it is adorable. The rides, the park, the attractions - perfect for the little ones. We had a 6, a 4 and a 3 and they were the perfect ages. Everything is tailored for the little guys - and ours enjoyed every ride! Fourth - it is just a FANTASTIC hidden gem. We were vacationing in Long Beach Island and needed something to do. You can only go to the beach a few days with a 4 year old and 1 year old. We were told about this place and decided to check it out. I was concerned there would be nothing to do for my 1 year old. I was definitely wrong in that assumption. The park is immaculate and little kid friendly. Plenty of tree coverings so the kids don't get sun burned and there's plenty of shade! Thumbs up! The place is so clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and so helpful!! My older daughter tripped and skinned her elbow. The wonderful woman at the first aid station gave me a choice of band aid sizes and neosporin! Truly a save for this mama who didn't have bandaids in her bag. The park is the perfect size for kids to explore without being too overwhelming. You can bring your own lunch but there's plenty of options for kids and adults while not breaking the bank. The admission is so reasonable! $30 and kids under 2 are free. My 1 year old went on the Ferris wheel, carousel and car ride. My 4 year old was running from ride to ride. I would highly recommend going here! We will definitely be back for next trip! read more

The pictures do not do it justice and it has a very unassuming front. Free parking.  The place is very clean, well manicured gardens, cute, colorful and uncrowded! I took my son on a Friday in August and we walked into every ride! No lines! The place is geared towards ages 3-10ish and it was joyful to watch my kid have so much fun! In the heat of summer: Pack a swimsuit n towel as they also have a great splash pad area that I was unaware of. Food/drink prices were fair and it appeared to me that many people were carrying in small picnic coolers, Bathrooms are spotless clean. $24.95 for each person. For kids and adults is not bad. Even I had fun. They have area with animal's to feed them bring some quarters along. They have Deer, Goats, and many other animals. Some of its most prominent attractions are the J&J Railroad Train (which loops around most of the park), the Happy Dragon, and Whily Bug the Ferris wheel. The Land of standard amusement park rides such as Bubbles the Coaster, a junior sized roller coaster, and the TurtleTwirl, a Tilt-A-Whirl. Storybook Land also has a Santa Claus house where Santa and Mrs. Claus will pose with the children during the Christmas season. The park is themed after many storybook characters such as Mother Goose, the Three Little Pigs, and many more. Such a cute place for the little ones. So much to do. My 2 was able to do almost everything. I think they just couldn't do the hickory dock ride. There are cute stories throughout the park, igloo where they can go inside, lil school houses with tables and chairs to sit on, a big slide, a maze, and of course, rides! The lines were not long at all. I think the longest I waited was about 5 minutes and it was for the car that was on tracks. The other rides were pretty much hop one. Word of advice for anyone that gets nauseous on rides....avoid the turtle twirl. That thing spins and spins and really whips you around. I couldn't get up after the ride. Lol. Oh gosh, old age! As for the food, I was surprised on how good it actually was for a theme park. We enjoyed juicy chicken strips, pizza, and fries. And, they weren't bad on prices either. This place is a really cute place to take the kids. My daughter who is 3 really enjoyed herself and had a blast. The rides cater more towards older children which was a little bit of a downer but she was easily distracted by running into the little houses and hearing the stories and running through the card maze. The food was absolutely delicious. Normally food at these types of places are just meh but not here. We had pulled pork sandwiches that were yummy. This place is an hour and a half away from me so I wouldn't drive that distance just for here but if in the area I'd definitely stop by again. I was over charged in the gift shop. I was charged for something I didn't purchase and didn't notice until I got home. I called and they were very nice and professional and refunded me the amount. I definitely recommend trying this place if you are in the area. read more
