Contacted Jose for consultation. Described the issue I was experiencing and researched online possible solutions. Jose came out to pick up the tv. Very polite and helped me load it carefully in his van. He kept me updated on progress and issues that came. Issues was due to parts being shipped from Samsung in Korea. But that was neither Jose fault just one of those things you just have to be patient with and wait. It was button up after then he brought right back. I wanted to write the owner "Jose" a really good review because we had a 5-yr old Samsung LED TV which just stopped displaying video (at first intermittently, then permanently). Not only that, my 5-yr warranty through Costco had expired two months too late. We didn't want to spend too much as we could easily purchase a low to medium tier LED TV at WalMart, Best Buy, or the Military Exchange for $400+... We really didn't want to scrap our $1,000+ TV after just 5 yrs of use. Well, #1 Jose was happy to diagnose our TV for FREE, #2 He knew where we were coming from (as we weren't going to spend close to the price of a new TV just to repair it), and #3 he appeared very honest during my 1st visit. Jose was able to resurrect our TV so we could squeeze a few more years out of it without breaking our checkbook. Now we have what we feel is still a great TV that'll last us several more years. Jose fixed it in less than a week, only because he had to order the part for us. You should definitely have him look at your TV if you have any issues with it. Note: Digital Television Repair is a "cash only" business which was the only thing we didn't like, but all of Jose's positives greatly outweigh the fact he doesn't take credit cards. Spoke about the issue, that I needed a new screen, as mine cracked, and was told he would look up the price and call me back the next day. If I can give 0 stars I would. The guy charged me $30 to come which I was totally fine because they do come to your house. The tech Jose came with some loud af Mexican dude who took a call and was just loud. My neighbors text me asking if everything was ok. The guy was just yelling outside my door. As soon as Jose came. I told him the issue was intermittent with my TV. I told him that I did my research and spoke with people who fix TVs back in Bay Area. Everything told me the boards almost never go bad. Immediately without seeing the problem the guy tried to charge me $300 for a board that wasn't broken. I kept trying to tell him that when I transported the TV something came loose and I just needed him to check the connections. The guy charged me $30 to help him unscrew my tv that his loud partner was supposed to do. Jose opened the TV in front of me and literally didn't check any connections or anything. The only thing he did was tell me that he is going to check how much the board is. How the hell do you automatically conclude it is a board without testing anything. I decided to give another tech a call a few days later. He came to my house. Opened the TV. Cleaned all connections and saw there was a loose wire. The guy charged me $20 which I was happy to pay. Since the connections were checked my TV is good as new. I also did research to the other reviews on Jose's yelp. They are his family. Do not hire this useless waste of human flesh. I really hope that $30 that you took will somehow allow Karma to end your business. I hate doing negative reviews but a slime and crook needs to be addressed to the public. Vizio gave me a number for their repair service. Called Vizio repair service and they stated it was too old for them to repair it. Jose was incredible! He called us back immediately and came over to check out our television after we requested a quote. The mother board was the issue but just to make sure, he replaced the TV sensor for us for free to rule that out.
