I was so worried when I brought in my 65"Samsung. I dread to think how much it'll cost to get it repaired. My TV just went dead while we're watching. I tried resetting it, to no avail. I opened the back panel to check for burnt fuses or just to check for anything unusual, I didn't find anything burnt and it had only one fuse. Brought the TV In Wednesday afternoon to April, after talking to Edgar on the phone. Next mornng Edgar called me to tell me the problem was the power supply board. He told me it would cost $140 but he was kind enough to lower it to $100. Picked up my TV next day, back panel was put back in place. It was a rough 2 nights without TV entertainment. We love our 11 year old DLP television and with the very mixed reviews regarding the function and problems with "smart" TV's, including one of my own, we are in no hurry to rush out and invest in another $2000 television. We were serviced by Carlos and his team of the North Rancho location. They recently replaced the power cord and we just got our TV delivered after replacing the light engine; both still costing considerably less than what a new investment would cost. I am a bit of a skeptic with the business ethics of many in this community. I have had many disappointing experiences. We found this company to be a refreshing experience of what competence and customer service should feel like. The TV's picture hasn't been this crisp in a long while. Digital TV Repair is professional, honest, punctual. And they communicate with you! They didn't complain about dragging this big horse out of our home for repair and their rates are fair. I even don't know where to begin. Took my 2500$ TV for repairs. They had it for 48 hours and were lying every time i called that they didn't have time to take a look at it and in 2 hours it will be ready. When i called last time one of their employees called me"gavron". I took my TV to different place and they told me parts are missing. So they did take my TV apart and stole some parts. I have a Samsung LCD HD TV that quit working. After searching online for a local TV repair shop, which was hard to find reviews online, Discount TV Repair was one of the couple that came up that had few reviews, mostly positive. The other place was all the way on opposite ends of town, so I decide to take my TV here. I brought it in on Friday and they asked me what the problem was, I told them it just stopped turning on. They said it's a very common problem with Samsung TVs, the power supply circuit, is most likely the problem. They will have the TV fixed by Monday or Tuesday and will call me after diagnose the problem and let me know how much it would cost before fixing it. And I got a call on Monday, confirming the problem and it would cost $240 to fix, labor, parts, and tax included. And it would be fixed within 1 hour. I know I cannot get a new 40 inch HD LCD for $240, the repair price seemed reasonable and they were very prompt and professional. The repair came with a 90-day warranty as well. read more

I'll be the second review for this company. I have a Vizio 42" LCD HDTV with 1080pm and 120mhz that went out on me. My cousin who figures out these issues quickly went ahead and did troubleshooting but the problem still was not resolved. Basically the TV would power on but would only be a black screen. Volume still worked through the console and also worked when connected to my audio receiver. I went to this place and upon walking into the store, they had racks of what looked like 200+ flatscreen TVs being repaired so it looked like they knew their stuff. After a few days, they quoted me $240 to repair this and it made sense to get them to repair this because even though the TV was over 2 years old, 42" LCD HDTVs still cost more than $240. The motherboard chip went out and had to be ordered from Japan. Between the estimate and repair, I had to wait about 2.5 weeks. Once repaired I went back to the store and he turned on the unit (without connected to a cable box) but the screen came on fine with no problems. However, once I took it hope and plugged it in, that same day the TV took a few minutes to turn on and once I got picture, the black screen would flicker every now and then. A few days later, it went back out. Frustrated since NFL season was about to start, I took it back and complained. Since the store honored a 90 repair warranty, they were able to order another different motherboard chip since the original one went out. About 10 days later, I went back to the store and picked up the TV without any fees or charges. I plugged it in and the TV is now fine. I waited a good month to write this review so just to let all you Yelpers know that a month and a half later, my TV has been working perfectly. * I rated this place 4 stars versus 3 because it was the only place in town and only place reviewed on Yelp. Once other competitors enter into the market, it may be worth seeing and re-rating these guys again. read more

They are extremely expensive! I called for a Tech to come out and I was told that the service fee for the tech to come out will then be deducted from the bill if I decide to get the repair done. I was charged 350$ I then mentioned the device call of 35$ and ignored the fact. I called millennium repair and got charged half the price 175$ and the job was taken care of. Extremely friendly, and care about the customer and there products. read more

My six year old Panasonic Plazma TV went out. I called Geek Squad and they quoted as much as $400-$500 to repair. I checked new TV's at Costco but decided to check with a local TV repair in my area. I called Digital TV Repair and spoke to Juan on Friday. I gave him the code the TV was blinking and he said he would call me back in ten minutes. He called me back and was able to give me a quote at that time. It was half of what the Geek Squad was hinting at. I dropped my TV off on Saturday and got a call back in about 3 hours that they figured out the problem and the TV would be ready on Monday for the price originally quoted. I had them delivery it on Monday for a nominal fee. I recommend if you want to save some money when your TV goes out give them a call first. The work on all major brands. read more

We live on the Az side of Hoover Dam. Last year our big screen TV wasn't working and no one would come to our home because we do live in a remote location. We found Arnold by chance when he was on Valley View and he fid an excellent job on that tv at a reasonable cost. This year we had another problem tv and brought that tv with us from Az...we didn't realize his shop is now on Sahara near Lamb. Luckily we found his new shop and are happy we did. The tv would turn on and off by itself and maybe something was loose and the drive to Vegas fixed the problem but Arnold didn't charge a service charge for looking at the tv and once again we are happy. I had my Mitsubishi DLP lamp replaced by Arnold, but when I reinstalled the lamp and housing in my TV, it didn't work and had an arcing sound. I called Arnold and told him about it and he said that he'd call Carlos and have him call me to set up a house visit. Carlos called and informed me that it would cost $80 for a house visit. I said okay and when Carlos arrived he immediately diagnosed the problem as frayed wires in the lamp housing. He replaced the wires and the TV worked fine. I called Arnold while Carlos was still there and Arnold said that he noticed the frayed wires but thought they were okay. I asked for them to drop the house visit charge since Arnold noticed the bad wires when he swapped the lamp but didn't replace them. Arnold and Carlos said that they would talk to the owner, Edgar, but no refund has been made. They should refund some of my house visit money since Arnold could have replaced the wires in the shop when he replaced the lamp. They won't honor an obviously poor level of service on their part by refunding at least some of my money. read more

my 8 year old wall mounted Samsung TV was giving me trouble. It would not start up. I used the COX remote pressing TV then power and the TV's blue light would flicker but the TV would not turn on. After about an hour of trying the TV would fire up. I called Digital TV repair and spoke with Arnold he sent over a technician named Carlos. Carlos removed the TV from the wall and examined something named the power supply circuit, with some electrical probes. He determined the power supply was slowly deteriorating. He suggested overhauling this part. He took the TV to the shop. Within a three hour time frame he called me saying the TV was fixed, and brought it back to me. He reinstalled it on the wall and it's been fine ever since. The price I paid was relatively reasonable and I appreciate getting the TV back in such a short period.
