This place represents everything people hate about the medical industry. Business and money first, people last. Very little in the way of patient care. Forms, stoic interactions, filthy rooms, and condescending looks aplenty. RN Ansel doesn't like being asked basic medical questions. "Provider" (as opposed to the more folksy term "doctor" points to their primary focus...overcharging insurance companies) spends 10.5 seconds with a patient. Take a look at the dirty bed cover in the room we were asked to wait in that well no doubt be charged the same price for a night at the Omni.

Worst ER's in the Mesa/Gilbert area:( The female staff was so rude to me and the only people who seemed to actually enjoy their job was the Radiology/Xray Tech, one of the nurses and the male PA Reece I think. I'm sorry for the bad review but I think it's crazy I that I came in asking for help and only 3 people wanted to do their job. Do better lol :/

The shake down by Arizona General "hospital"

Paid by bill IN FULL yet 1 year later sent me to collections and I just paid $150 to avoid having to spend more time on the phone getting it cleared up which is a repeat of last year with their billing department who finally told me they found my payment yet here i am getting the shake down for the same $150. Enjoy it as I'm sure no one would go to your business after all the 1 star reviews you've received . Really shameful the biggest slap in the face is their use of the name DIGNITY wow

After getting checked in for a possible broken elbow, vitals were taken and MD examined. We were told the xray tech was in with someone and we would be next. We sat there for over an hour (I can't imagine one set of X-rays took an hour). X-rays were finally taken in less than 5 mins. Then after sitting another 30 mins, I asked how long it would be until someone could look at the xray. I was told "this is the part that takes a while" and that I "was lucky they were still on the day schedule because the night time wait time can be up to 4 hours." We waited about 20-30 mins then asked again how long it would be. They couldn't give me a TAT so we got up and left. We were there for over 2.5 hours to have 3 X-rays taken. And who knows how much longer it would have taken to have someone read the X-rays. I don't believe there were a large number of patients there at the time. The parking lot only had a few cars, waiting room was empty and the nurses desk outside the exam room had the same nurses/techs/MDs sitting there our entire wait. Their website says little to no wait. How healthcare should be. That was not my experience at all.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Yes, the staff is nice (very nice even, and a clean place) BUT I…read morewill never step foot in there simply because of their outlandish hidden pricing for an Urgent Care that IS IN my network. Use this as a massive warning! (And I am seeing others comment in these reviews similarly.) Circumstance 1: I went in to the Urgent Care for a UTI and was charged, using insurance, $812.00 just for a dip stick urine test and under a 2 minute doctor consultation to write me an RX. My insurance paid $7.37 total because they said that is the cost of a test. That makes sense. So what is left is costing me over $400 a minute for help for face to face care with a doctor. Circumstance 2: I went to the same Urgent Care (didn't have the bill for the previous one, otherwise I would not have gone) for bronchitis and a sinus infection. Again, heart rate, bp, and a stethoscope to my chest was all that was done, in addition to the prescription to take to a local pharmacy (no xrays or anything like that). This one was charged $528...so over $150 per minute to be face to face with a doctor. Both times I went, I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room (and didn't see one in the main part of the rooms). It's not like I was at a high peak time even. Why weren't others there...probably because they have read so many poor reviews unlike I did. I was telling this with a friend of mine and she told me that this happened to her as well (same location for an ear infection), resulting in an outlandish bill, so I am not the only person that this has happened to. I have called many times to get them to recode/adjust trying to dispute it even asking for the self payout, and they are not budging. They are standing behind their stomach-dropping fees. I will also say, I have gone to this location other times in past years for the same issues and never received such outlandish bills. It's as if they are treating this like an emergency room (and with my multiple phone calls the billing department employees keeps saying "ER"). I have driven by the place to make sure it didn't change to an ER and I mistakenly didn't notice, but the sign on the building (and the website) says Urgent Care. I am NOT trying to get out of paying for my services, but I will stand up for what is "right" and announce to many what a horrible company they have become. Seems like the only thing I can do is leave a bad review, notify the news company, file a complaint with the department of health, in addition to my insurance company (Blue Cross) knowing. Price gouging at its finest. Very deceiving business practice. Please go anywhere but here! Never, ever again will I use them! (Look at the slew of Google reviews on this place. I am by far not the only one!)

Spent 3 hours waiting for a technician from across the valley to show up to operate the Ultrasound machine to rule out blood clot after a flight since my knee was showing signs of a lot more swelling with red color and bruising that wasn't there previous to flight. Doctor looks at my leg and says "yeah, I'm not even gonna touch it, you need an MRI." He then writes me a prescription for the pain. Spend ALL DAY on the phone with the pharmacy AND the doctors office trying to figure out why my prescription isn't being sent/received. Both parties are blaming the other and almost refusing to just pick up the phone and speak to each other directly so they use me as the middle man. Spoke with both sides no less than 6 times each for it to ultimately turn into "it's not our fault, it's theirs and we aren't sending the prescription again." I call the doctors office one final time to just figure out what my next steps are and whoever this guy is says "well, just ice and take ibuprofen. All you did was sprain it." I responded with "how is that your diagnoses? There's not been any MRI's yet right?" And this guy says "well the results are pretty conclusive." WHAT RESULTS ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? The ones where the doctors says yeah, I'm not even going to touch it and then prescribes me Oxycodone?! If his reaction was to leave it alone and prescribe a Percocet wouldn't common sense dictate we're probably dealing with more than a sprain? In conclusion, instead of rectifying the situation they "offered" to refer me to another ER facility (which I would most definitely pay another $630 visit fee). That way they could be done with the whole problem. I never got my prescription nor any pain relief of any other kind. Play that call back Dignity Health and confidently tell me that's what you want to see take place when it comes to customer service. This location is a clown show, look elsewhere for medical assistance.

We were told this would cover my son's care for the visit. 2 days later we recieced bills totally over $7,000. I can get an iv for $200 and a ct for 500$ cash. A ct should've never been done initially for stomach pain but we were told no ultrasound was available. Well that said ct was over $4000!!! This billing IS UNETHICAL!!! Truly heartbreaking to see the medical system take advantage here. How do you go from $613 (saying this is all we will owe) to over $7000 yet have no one to speak to?!? Truly heartbreaking to see when the doctor was extremely nice but apparently had no idea of the financial corruption at this location. I'm writing this to save someone else the time and aggravation. I could not have had a more dramatically different experience than what I saw in the reviews - it's safe to say that the management has heard your concerns! We came in at 9:30pm to a very full labor and delivery floor - cancelled the inductions for the day & a woman had been waiting for a delivery room for 7 hours longer than me... Things were not looking too promising. The nurse in triage, Kristy (I hope I'm spelling that right) moved MOUNTAINS for us. She continuously let us know what was going on on the floor and how my labor was progressing. When there was no delivery room available and the nurses were literally spread to their max, she found a way for us to get to a room to help alleviate my pain and welcome my son into the world. I have never felt more looked after than I did with her. Following that, the postpartum ward was delightful! The team that works in there is extremely respectful and caring. Food wise, pretty good! Not the typical icky hospital food that you hear about! If you get the chocolate chip cookie, put it next to a piece of bread for a little bit and it isn't as dry & oh so much more yummy! I hope & pray that everyone gets to have my experience! Even the OB who was on call... I don't know if I would have remotely the same delivery experience if it wasn't for him & his gentle encouragement throughout - you are the best Dr. Canestraro!

Banner Desert Hospital in Mesa Arizona failed my father in every possible way during what would be…read morethe last weeks of his life. My father was admitted on April 16th 2026 with a confirmed cancer diagnosis that had already been documented in his medical records. He sat in that hospital for five days before a single oncologist walked through his door. Five days. When the oncologist finally came on April 21st it was the first time my father had ever seen an oncologist in his entire life. And it happened on the day they were trying to discharge him. The discharge paperwork they tried to send him home with was factually inaccurate. His CT scan performed right there in that building showed possible pancreatitis, bowel wall thickening, gallstones, aggressive malignant ascites, severely elevated bilirubin of 12.80, and compromised kidney function. None of it was on his discharge papers. They listed cirrhosis and noted he should get a blood test to check for liver cancer. He already had confirmed liver cancer. That is not a clerical error. That is negligence. They tried to discharge my father for three to four days before we even had a chance to arrange proper care elsewhere. When we finally had an appointment at City of Hope they discharged him to a hotel because they refused to transfer him directly to the cancer center the way it should have been done for a critically ill cancer patient. When I advocated for my father and asked questions about his care and his inaccurate discharge paperwork they called security on me. Twice. I was not threatening anyone. I was a daughter fighting for her dying father. That is what they called security for. Nurses Kelsey and Ashley were dismissive, cold, and treated my father without dignity or compassion. They did not do their jobs and their lack of care was witnessed by our entire family. The one exception was nurse Merisol who treated my father with the kindness, warmth, and professionalism that every patient deserves. She was the only bright light in an otherwise disgraceful experience. My father came home after leaving this facility and passed away shortly after. He deserved so much better. Every patient who walks through those doors deserves so much better. If the people running this hospital ever have to admit their own parents here I hope they receive the exact same level of care that my father received. Maybe then they will understand what they put our family through. Do not come here unless you have no other choice. And if you do end up here ask for Merisol and pray she is your nurse. This hospital is under investigation and I am pursuing every legal avenue available to me.
