Be very careful. Try to choose another hospital if possible. You will have an enormous bill, but more importantly, the bill won't have any information regarding what they are charging you for and if you would like an itemized bill, you will spend hours jumping through hoops, and filling out forms to get that information. Also, they will bill you on top of what the insurance has already paid them. Which is probably illegal. Good luck with that. You will spend a lot of of your personal time and energy that should have been spent on more fun things, dealing with this big fat joke. read more

I had one of the best experiences at this location. The staff is in tune very friendly and very responsive. I dread going to any ER but my pain was unbearable. I was so surprised. I was treated quickly with respect and they listened to me about all my symptoms. They shared what was going on by tests. I was relieved to know what exactly was happening. Top notch. Although it's not a place I want to have to visit. But if I need to go to an Er. Arizona general hospital. 1910 S Gilbert Rd is where I would go !!! read more

This place represents everything people hate about the medical industry. Business and money first, people last. Very little in the way of patient care. Forms, stoic interactions, filthy rooms, and condescending looks aplenty. RN Ansel doesn't like being asked basic medical questions. "Provider" (as opposed to the more folksy term "doctor" points to their primary focus...overcharging insurance companies) spends 10.5 seconds with a patient. Take a look at the dirty bed cover in the room we were asked to wait in that well no doubt be charged the same price for a night at the Omni. read more

I drove in from Cali to visit my friend I was have sharp pain in my side the whole way here once I checked into my hotel I fell asleep and woke up with extremely sharp pain I decided it was time to check it out. Let me tell you how amazing every staff member was and how quick they were they called multiple labs and a ultrasound to make me feel Comfortable and make sure everything checked out worked well with my insurance and was quick to get me in and out I wish this medical practice was available back home in Cali honestly one of the best experiences I have had with medical service in an extremely Long time I am so impressed. read more

I had a tonsillectomy almost 2 weeks ago. In the middle of the night, I woke up with an excessive amount of blood pouring from my mouth. My discharge instructions specifically stated to seek medical care in the event of a secondary hemorrhage as it could be a life threatening event. When I showed up to the ER, I was taken in very quickly (hence the reason they received 2 stars instead of 1). I will also say-no one else was in the wait room so that's why I was taken so quickly. When the nurse came in, she immediately asked who my doc was and when I said his name she said "why didn't you go up to Scottsdale then?" It was 3am and we live 3 mins away from this ER, and 25 mins away from the ER in Scottsdale so no, we didn't choose to drive that far while I was bleeding excessively, getting dizzy and nauseas. After some time, I was given some medicine to help slow the bleeding and once the bleeding stopped I was told to go to my doc. However before leaving, I was told again, not to come back to that ER. Then the nurse asked my husband "if she starts bleeding again, where will you take her?" Yes, Scottsdale. Multiple times I was told not to return. I try to give the benefit of the doubt and understand this is a small office and that they do not have an ENT on hand, nor much space (not something I was aware of.). I had to go here at 3 AM. Everybody was amazing. Initial paperwork was very quick and efficient. They got me in back to see the healthcare providers within 8 minutes. I was really surprised when they took me to the back. It's like an official an emergency room. I had a head injury so it was serious situation. I needed x-rays and a CT scan. It was all done within the first 20 minutes of my visit. Full blood work was also done. I had all the results very quickly too. I was treated so well. It was really amazing. Do a little research ahead of time before you need an emergency room. My wife knew exactly where to take me. Dignity Health Care is always our first choice and this location did not disappoint. read more

I came here w the flu and everyone was very nice, the front office, nurses, and dr. I was seen quickly, cared for, and released in about an hour. It was clean and quiet. The beds are the same as in any standard ER. The nurse even turned the lights off for me bc I was having a migraine. The dr chit chatted a bit before we left. I was nervous coming here after reading older reviews, but my friend had recommended them to me. I'm glad I came here, it was exactly what I needed, and no long wait like I would've had at the hospital. read more

I won't be long, i'll keep this short and sweet. despite the reason for being there, the way they treated my bf was incredibly shocking. and i knew not to go there again after how little the did for me during an absolute traumatic experience. When my bf asked for help with something (keep in mind he's throwing up, shaking and in excruciating pain, that morning shift couldn't CARE less. the asian lady told said "why can you do it yourself". My fiance went in there and ended up getting stitches the initial visit was great. The doctors were nice and all of the medical staff that came in to help him. Today he had a concern so we called to see if the dr might have an explanation or to see if the dr could advise him of something he could do, the front desk Vanessa or Veronica (I forgot which one was her name) that answered was very very rude. She didn't even let us get a full concern in without cutting us off and saying she could not do anything about it and that he would need a visit again. She made us feel unheard and not cared for. At the end of the call I was annoyed but I still said thank you and she said you're welcome and hung up before I could even get the word bye out of my mouth. She was very rude and I suggest you ask to speak to someone on the medical staff if you do end up calling. read more

I recently visited this location after being burned from work. Being my first time getting hurt in the job I explained the situation to them. They reassured me that I only had to provide my works insurance and fill out a second paper. That they would send my records and doctor's note to my workers comp case. About two weeks pass and nothing was sent. I called to try to get help and was repeatedly met with front desk workers who couldn't help whatsoever and were rude. Or when they did try to help I was given numbers to call that had no relevance to the situation. Finally I was told to request them online which I did( this location didn't even tell me this the Gilbert location had to). Now it has been almost two weeks and haven't received anything again! So I called again today which now was told that they'll look into it and give me a call back which most likely won't happen again! Ive came to the conclusion not to go to any dignity help ever again. They are a headache and no help. Please dignity contact me and help me settle this because this situation should not be this difficult or long. read more

Had not been feeling well for a couple of days and couldn't get in to see my PCP. I went to this standalone ER to get checked out. I went on 11/30 at about 630p - I add this because I didn't get the names of everyone who was working and I want to make sure that they are given credit for their stellar performance. From the woman at the front desk to the RN to the EMT to the radiology tech to the provider - everyone was personable and engaging. Don't know about you, but when I don't feel well, I need some kindness rather than being treated like a bed that needs to be flipped. Despite observable symptoms, causes were not found. I really appreciated that the provider didn't treat me like it was all in my head or like she was running off of a list of protocols that were exhausted after basic triage, so I was ready for discharge. She clearly thoroughly reviewed my history and ran tests to rule out possible causes of the symptoms. She confirmed that I clearly did not feel well and sent me home with some prescriptions and aftercare orders. The other thing I observed was that the staff, beyond having empathetic and friendly interactions with me, had genuine interactions with each other. I could hear them laughing and talking in a way that made it clear that they've developed a good working relationship and enjoy working together. That kind of job satisfaction carries over into their patient care. In a world of often less than stellar, non-patient-centered care, the team I had the privilege to interact with earlier this week was amazing and I wish they could be primary care providers! I found the Dr, NPA and RNs to be very skilled and got my situation handled quickly. As it turns out, I had Covid and they helped me get immediate relief for some of the issues and help to get me through it all over time. I had no wait and again, all the care was excellent! Paid by bill IN FULL yet 1 year later sent me to collections and I just paid $150 to avoid having to spend more time on the phone getting it cleared up which is a repeat of last year with their billing department who finally told me they found my payment yet here i am getting the shake down for the same $150. This was not the first bad experience with this place but unfortunately I live next door and it is the most convenient. However in the future I would not care if I am half dead. I will drive 40 minutes out before I am treated like a worthless individual again. I guess you can't expect a 5 star experience at a 0 star facility. I arrived at 7:23 and was discharged by 7:50 for possible covid. The time frame alone shows just how much they did not give a damn. First the doctor barely introduced himself to me, no empathy, no care in the world. Asked me maybe 3 questions and told me I am not considered high risk because I'm not old and neither do I have any organ issues. Let's note I have lupus and with this disease you are always high risk! It's an " immune disease ". Secondly I asked for suggestions of medication I can take for the congestion. He not only ignored the fact of at least prescribing me some medication but he told me I can take " something" for whatever I feel. No list of recommendations! Just nothing! No care in the entire world. A true idiot! Lastly the nurse went extremely far up my nose for my covid test which I had to immediately stop her! When I told her to stop, she mentioned she is almost done. I had to lightly move her arm to stop this procedure after verbally telling her no! An Instant flood of tears came out of my eyes. I've had severalllllllll test and never in my life left with a headache and sore nose. After the test I immediately exited the room. Nurse rodgers stopped me to give me my papers. I informed her of how I was very upset with how the doctor barely cared and how insane the covid procedure was. Her response was " well I don't know what to tell you" Apparently we treat humans like animals in this building! I'm convinced I would have gained better treatment with a vet next door dealing with the individuals here. In my eyes 90% of the staff should be reevaluated, removed and replaced! Not sure if this is a mesa/ Gilbert thing but I have reached my limit of mistreatment and bad experiences. read more

I visited the Dignity Health freestanding ER as I was feeling ill and wanted the higher level care provided,but I did not think I needed a full Hospital ER. I received friendly and highly competent care from check in to discharge. My RN and physician evaluated me quickly, ordered labs and imaging and made me comfortable while waiting for results. The X-ray Tech was friendly and competent. The facility is clean and well stocked. Dignity fosters patient-centered care which rare but so comforting when you are in pain and ill. I highly recommend this facility and many thanks to the staff for taking such good care of me. read more

Dr Fulton could probably work at a fast food joint, or as a birthday party clown, or even as a customer service representative reading a script and do much better; anything other than caring for people in an emergency room. I've had acute asthma my entire life, I'm in my 50's, and I could feel a lung issue coming on this morning, I went in to get an antibiotic for my lungs, before if came full on. He gave me an inhaler and suggested if I really have symptoms, come back then. Ten hours later, my symptoms are full blown .. so I called there. He said, "yup, I guess it sounds like you could use a z pak" and sent the prescription to a closed pharmacy. When I called back to ask him to send it to an open pharmacy, he -- without an ounce of creed to his oath--made it my problem. "You'll have to go in morning. Gfaa gfaaah." Chances are I'll need to go into another ER by morning. read more

Had the worse experience ever, brought my son that's not even 2 yet with a high fever. The "tech" guy Neil or whatever he is supposed to be was extremely unpleasant!!! Seem to me he has never worked or was trained dealing with children. He had no sympathy, fatherly instincts anything . Long story short my son didn't feel well at all and it wasn't hard to tell he insisted on him standing on the weight and height measurement and my son wasn't going for it we proceeded to the room and Neil went to take my sons temperature and stuck the thermometer down my sons throat! I told him to stop because my son wasn't screaming and gagging, I asked him is there any other way to take his temperature he answers "no this is the only way" which is a lie. Yes you can take a toddlers temp under there mouth but realistically, any doctors office or pediatrician would never do that because it would not be a reliable temperature. A kid under two is not going to let you stick something in their mouth and hold it under there for a certain amount of time let alone a sick kid. read more

My brother has had several stays at Banner Ocotillo, and I can't say enough about them. The ER works efficiently and thoroughly. My brother had an infection that worsened while at a terrible group home. Not only was he given a treatment plan, but they were able to secure a spot for him at a nearby Skilled Nursing Facility. What seemed hopeless while he was at the group home became a positive experience where he met his recovery goals and was able to move to a wonderful assisted living facility. Kudos to the nurses and doctors at Ocotillo!!! read more

Everyone I encountered was kind and caring aside from Dr. Fulton. My neurologist told me to come in after an infusion I had earlier in the day as I was experiencing severe joint pain. Dr. Fulton asked me if I could move my arm but nothing else. I wasn't asked about my history or anything. I have had 19 surgeries, Emma cancer survivor, and have even survived both blood clot in my leg, as well as blood clots in both lungs. I don't go to the ER if I'm not concerned. I was there for less then 30 minutes. He told me to go home and take ibuprofen and make sure my neurologist know about my symptoms. SIR!!! DID YOU NOT HEAR? My neurologist is the one who sent me there! I'm glad I had a medical provider at least lay eyes on me. The PA was caring and understood that I truly didn't want to be there but was following doctors orders. Dr. Fulton dismissed me so fast. I will not be utilizing this location again. read more

Ms April was My sons nurse her and dr Beeston make a fabulous team. They quickly diagnosed my son and got him the relief he needed. He is 7 so I am eternally grateful. Ms April genuinely listened as my son explained what hurt and where and how long. Dr. Beeston equally attentive. Even when we walked in I wish I got her name too the young lady at the front desk around 10 am on Thursday was kind and prompt... oh and when I called about my human error on accessing info on the portal Connor patiently walked me thru it. Overall and all star team. Also last but not least the X-ray tech I'm not 100% on her name but Judy she ensured we didn't leave without our copy to further and we'll follow up with his primary care doctor. Ps that's not the best part April called us this morning to check up on him. Idk that we've been anywhere else where this happens. I went there because I sprained my ankle at work and didn't do workers comp because it wasn't a big deal and after they gave me a room they had me get an X-ray and told me nothing was broken "you probably just have a bad sprain" I went home and iced it tried to stay off of it. Few days later I call back to ask for my medical records and if I can fax them paper work to get signed for workers comp and my LOA the are sending me in circles. Gave me the phone number to billing to send my papers that way, billing told me I have to send my papers to the place I went to and they gave me a fax number to a different dignity health! Like 1 couldn't even give me a CT or something to see it it was more than a simple sprain, can't stop running me in circles AND I asked the ER if I can't send my papers there CRYING TO THEM because I'll get fired if I don't get them, and they said well we can't do anything here since we have revolving doctors read more

I don't usually write reviews but I was so thrilled with my experience here I had too. My fiancé needed to get stitches and we were sent here from an urgent care because they couldn't do it. We checked in at 5:11 and she was cleaned up, given an x ray, stitched up, and we were out of there at 6:15. This has never happened to me before and i was BLOWN away thank you so much to nurse Holly and dr fulton you both were amazing! read more

I was referred to this ER by a clinic that couldn't provide services to me because of the extreme symptoms I was having. Everyone treated me with kindness except the doctor. The doctor came into the room with Nurse Connie as she was doing basic vitals and spoke with me about my symptoms. The doctor told me what I was experiencing wasn't an emergency because I wasn't actively dying. He was very condescending and made me feel so bad about myself to the point I was in tears. I understand my case wasn't a typical emergency but I was referred to this clinic, I was in a severe amount of pain, and was treated absolutely horribly. I was so incredibly impressed by this facility! My son had hurt his wrist and I had to take him in last minute. We walked in, filled out a piece of paper, & they immediately took him back. My son ended up having a fracture in his wrist. They were so quick to take us in, get an x-ray, get him in a splint, & get out! They were so friendly and made both myself and my son comfortable! We were in and out in 2 hours. I would definitely recommend this facility to any of my friends and family and I plan to come back! Thank you all for your FANTASTIC service!! I don't like having to go to the ER like anyone els does but if you do this is the one to go to for sure. The check In was fast and the receptionist was friendly and efficient. I was seen in a timely manner and the staff were all incredibly friendly and professional. I needed a chest X Ray which didn't take long either. It was a clean and modern facility. This place is amazing. I was puking all night and had an extremely high temp. I came in and they got me back right away (there were no lines, yay!). They immediately started helping me, and I was out and feeling so much better in a little over 2 hours. Which is awesome, if you've ever been to an ER. They typically take a few hours, not a couple. It was about 2-3am! I had to allow myself to cool down from this AWFUL visit! The receptionist was the only semi-nice person there. You could tell none of them, including the doctor didn't want to be there. The nurse was short and I felt rushed. Then the doctor literally made a snotty comment about me to the nurse because I've had bad experiences with needles and was really nervous. I felt like I was having a heart attack and to be mocked was unacceptable! I left and will NEVER come back. They acted like they could care less that I was leaving but then after awhile I got a "coverup" I mean concerned VM from the doctor. Luckily a couple days later when I felt the same chest pains I went to another hospital NOT A DIGNITY, and was seen and treated! Do better overnight staff! read more

I had to visit here while visiting my folks.(Jan. 2019) I live out of state. So I was unsure about if they would take my insurance. When I arrived, they told me not to even worry about that yet and I was in within about 20 minutes. It was very busy that night and I was pushed to the bottom as something much larger than me came in. But they communicated with me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be at midnight in the ER. Once they get the tests rolling, they actually found a few other things on some of the results that actually allowed me to go see my PCP at home and get it taken care of. They could have just treated me for the kidney infection that I came in for...but they went above and beyond for me. Pain meds and a fast working antibiotic. I felt so much better walking out of there. I had to make a payment before I left, and they worked with me and my out of state insurance to make it completely painless. I will go there again and my parents were thrilled to have found a place so close to their new home. I had to contact them to get my medical records to send to my PCP and they were great to work with. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with medical treatment. I arrived at Dignity Health with intense stomach pain. Dr. Jared Green was useless and provided no examination or recommendations on where to seek further help after asking for them multiple times. The staff was unhelpful and did not seem knowledgeable when asked any questions. I was discharged without follow up care and slapped with a $1400 bill. I have filed a grievance & complaint with Dignity Health and not only can I never get through to their billing department (the phone system is continually down) they have never once returned my calls or followed up. This hospital is a joke with poor service, irresponsible staff and incompetent doctors. Do not waste your time here go to Mercy Gilbert in an emergency! read more

If I could give no stars I would I went in on 4/6/18 for a severely sliced thumb. I was brought back and cleaned up. The doctor (Mazzorana) came in and asked what I'd rather prefer stitches or glue. I promptly told her I haven't had experience with either and that I have no preference whatever will heal me the quickest and allow me to get back to work. She again told me it was my choice and again I said I had no idea and that I couldn't make a descision because I have no idea about either. She looked frustrated. I don't work in the medical profession and haven't had anything like this happen before. Almost an hour later she came back with the glue and glued my thumb up. The nurse way later came back with what I believe was a splint and told me to keep this on as long as possible. About 20 mins after that the doctor came back and told me to not get it wet and to keep the splint on as long as possible only taking it off for work and that the glue would last a week and to take at least the next day off of work. After that the lady who checked me in came and took my payment info and asked me to sign up for ahcccs. I agreed and 15 mins later I had my paperwork and was out the door. I went to work to tell them what the doctor had told me and we agreed to give me the next two days off. I did everything the doctor told me to and by mid day on my second day off the glue fell off!!! I just paid over a thousand dollars for glue that was supposed to last a week!!!! I was livid!!! They next days I had seen someone else and they were blown away that the doctor did not use stitches and even told me that the doctor was "taking an easier route"! Really?! Almost two weeks go by and I haven't heard anything about my application for ahcccs or the itemized bill I requested so I called the number I was given. That phone number had no idea what I was talking about and gave me the ahcccs phone number. I called that number and the person said THERE WAS NO APPLICATIONS PENDING!!!! At this point I'm beyond frustrated so I called again and the person on the phone says that on their end the application had been sent and to call ahcccs and let them know. I called again and they said that they have nothing but an old application from 2010! So the person did an over the phone application. This place is a mess and I will never trust it with any of my medical needs ever again! I'm beside myself on this whole matter! read more

Recently went in for emergency care that I knew was more than an urgent care would be able to handle since they have limited capabilities. Staff was professional and caring except for the doctor who didn't care enough to further investigate. Told me to follow up with a primary care doctor along with a bunch of lectures on healthcare all because I didn't have a primary care doctor. I have always been healthy and am fortunate to have insurance that allows me to go directly to a specialist if I get sick. Too say the least, I left feeling like I wasted my money and time to get even less care than I probably could have got at an urgent care. I only went here because I didn't think I could drive to another hospital and this one only minutes from my house. I am not going to get into details but I ended up in the hospital for 5 days with life threatening problems that the doctor at this facility didn't want to bother with and could have figured out. If she wants to be on an urgent care level of people not feeling well or having a mild injury than an emergency hospital is not where she should be working. read more
