Absolutely love DIGS. DIGS is something that Marquette needed, something that they didn't already have and was unique to the area. I obviously love the staff as most of them were also in my classes during school (go hospitality program ;) ) Their menu is unique and original, you won't find the same food anywhere else. When they first opened I was coming in way more then I should..I just could not resist. DIGS has some of the best bloody marys I have ever had, get this, I don't even like bloody's.. but their mix was wonderful. I recently moved to Florida and let me tell you, I am always craving to get food from here. I wish there was someway to get a store open here in orlando. But for now I'll just have to wait until I come back and visit and live through my friends who are able to go. read more

Between sporting events, we decided to try Digs Bar and Grill in downtown Marquette. This is now our new favorite spot! The restaurant is clean and pub cozy. The food was awesome! I wish I had a picture of my hamburger, but I was too focused on the yummo factor! The beer was cold and craft brew for all levels of beer drinkers. The food was fresh and had great flavor! We stumbled upon this restaurant and were so impressed. We are not into fried foods, but this place did it perfectly. We loved the kimchi balls, fried pickles and cheese curds. We were at DIGS recently on a Saturday night. It was busy, but we didn't have much of a wait. The four bartenders/servers were extremely busy (might have been short-staffed that night), but were so friendly and attentive to us and all the customers. They really showed great teamwork and composure. Additionally, the food and drinks were really good. We look forward to visiting again next time we're in Marquette. read more

Had two very different experience here within 24 hours. Went in for a late nite dinner and service was great, food was great and we left looking forward to the next visit. Went in the next day hungry and anxious to try the awesome hotdogs. Wasted almost 1-1/2 hours waiting for 4 hotdogs, our waitress was totally dismissive and avoided coming to our table to refresh drinks or update us on our food. Don't bother ordering online because there's a slim chance they will actually deliver your food. We ordered Sunday night through door dash. About 30 minutes after our card was charged we got a call saying the kitchen was closed. We tried again tonight and placed our order at 9:30 only to get an email that our order was canceled at 10:15. How about canceling our order right away so we're not waiting 45 minutes for a dinner that's not going to show up? Horrible customer service. read more

I'd like to say I've tried Digs food, but unfortunately their inconsistency with kitchen closing time has prevented that on both occasions that I tried to order delivery. They decided to cancel my order almost an hour after ordering and, not only did I not get my order, but they waited so long to cancel it that most other places had closed by that point. We sat out back at the extended restaurant of Digs, City Beach. The service was great and our server was very personable. The atmosphere is great for families with kids. The outside area is welcoming to kids. The food was great! The drink menu was limited, but I feel the atmosphere (especially with kids) made up for the limited drinks. Very disappointing. We started are meal with water. This was brought to us in a wine bottle cute, but the water was warm. We were given juice sized glasses, no ice. Cheese curds were great! Side salad, yum. We ordered the parm/garlic chicken wings they were almost all batter, and the outside was a bunch of dry parmesan so it didn't stick very well. Couldn't taste garlic at all. We also ordered the chicken and waffles this was $15.00. For are $15. We received three small pieces of over done over breaded pieces of chicken. Couldn't even see the chicken it was boneless and all breading. This came with not even a full waffle, 1/2 a waffle. Wait staff was very slow, but friendly. read more

A great choice for lunch. The menu was solid and had a nice variety for picky eaters. I was able to modify something to make it gluten free. The french fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. They have a nice variety of local beer and the cocktails were refreshing. The decor is quirky up north college town with lots of TVs. We watched Serena Williams play in Wimbledon. I just wanted to put it out there that my time at Dig's tonight was so incredibly painful that I left early, mind you I am not someone to leave the bar early. The DJs were very disrespectful. I asked them if they could play a song on the top Billboard charts and they told me they had never heard of it. What DJ doesn't do their homework/research? How do you not know something that's on the top billboards? Why play house music when we're not in Europe, stop trying to be something that you're not. Overall I had an ok experience at Digs. Stopped by for an early dinner on a Friday. The location is cute. The beer selection could be better but wasn't too expensive. We ordered the cheese curds which were delicious and I had a classic burger. I asked for the burger medium rare and it was a bit over cooked for my taste but I loved the BBQ sauces. Stopped here to cure the hunger pangs. The waitress gave us menus immediately and answered any questions we had before we placed our order. I visited the bathroom and noticed, too late, that it was out of toilet paper. Luckily I found a small roll in the under the sink vanity. The large waste basket was also filled to capacity and it was only 1:30 in the afternoon. There was water running on the floor from, presumably, melting snow from outside coming through a floor/wall space. When I returned to my table I had no faith that my meal would even be edible. WRONG! I had the hot turkey sandwich and it was simply amazing! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and he was impressed as well. It was all very flavorful, ample, and unforgettable! This place is not a stunner but OK. The food tasted good and the potential is there since this place has a Texan feel in the upper Midwest. Our waiter must have been new because he was awkward and didn't know any answers to our questions about the menu. Pat the owner was the best! We were a family of 4 starving and were welcomed with open arms. The food was so fresh, with his wife as chef. I had the mouth watering fish tacos, the Mac n cheese app was so fresh! Kids loved the chicken nuggets and hot dog! I dislike writing less than favorable reviews but... I ordered the Mac and Cheese which was advertised as being Mac and Cheese with Panko crumbs and fire roasted peppers. And quite honestly, the Panko is the ingredient that makes plain Mac and Cheese sound appetizing to me. It was missing the Panko crumbs, entirely. When I asked our server, she wasn't aware that it came with Panko and had to review the menu before asking the kitchen. When she returned, she informed me that the kitchen had run out of Panko crumbs. Nobody told her about it. So food was getting served without Panko. She even told me that the white fish bites were being sent out without Panko crumbs. Sending food back or asking for my bill to be adjusted makes me uncomfortable so I rarely do it but I should have. I paid $15 for macaroni and cheese with a dollop of roasted peppers on top. That's a huge bummer. My only other complaint is that it cost $5 for a Blackrocks beer. But I could go a few blocks away to the actual brewery and get it for $4. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me but I don't know much about the restaurant business so perhaps there's a good reason. The pros: My husband got the Rueben and said it was good. The hand cut fries were very yummy . The atmosphere is pretty good, too. We'll go back to give it a second chance someday. read more

My Fiancé and I were generally disappointed in this place. The food was very average and over priced. I had the phoritto, which tasted like it had more salt than the Atlantic Ocean. My Fiancé had the bagger burger which was soggy and messy. Also due to the over use in certain spices it was hard to even taste the beef. This place is surprisingly expensive so be aware of that. The atmosphere in the restaurant was unique and the serving staff was polite and knowledgeable. However, if they spent as much effort on their food as they did their atmosphere they would be much better off. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant. read more
