Cute place, decor is rustic shabby chic. Menu wasn't impressive. Mac and cheese was bad and over priced. Cold noodles and the sauce is so thin that it doesn't stick to the noodles and falls to the bottom of the plate. Added pulled pork for $4 for a tiny portion, all the BBQ sauces are sweet. Nothing smokey or spicy. Only reason I'll give 2 stars is because my boyfriend liked his burrito thing with brisket and kimchi. read more

DIGS is amazing. Great atmosphere, great events. A food and drink menu that really puts the "gastro" in Gastropub - unique and sophisticated without being pretentious, super tasty. Straight up, the best Reuben I have ever had! I opted for the kimchi and my son got the slaw on his; both excellent. Others in our party got the phoritto and grilled cheese. No one was disappointed. Save yourself the $2 (added fries charge)and just get the chips. Their Dig's chips are delicious! read more

My husband brought me to Digs for their Valentines Day dinner. We know the chef, Andrew, and we're not disappointed in his presentations. The appetizers were fried carrots, celery, broccoli and cauliflower served with a spicy sauce. Simply delicious. The second course was a choice of three soups or three or four salads. While I have had the fish chowder before and absolutely loved it, I opted for the French onion soup, which our server, Lauren, said was made especially for this dinner. It was by far the best French onion soup I have ever had, and I have had a lot! The soup was perfectly balanced with onion, broth and cheese. The broth was so scrumptious I could have just had a bowl of it and bee a happy camper. The entree course was a choice of chicken, salmon or roast beef. All served with vegetables and a delicate sauce. I chose the roast beef, my husband had the chicken. He raved about his choice. When Lauren realized my husband didn't care for carrots (which was the vegetable served with the chicken), she went to the kitchen and had them prepare broccoli. The flavors in my roast beef dish were very delicately balanced and the portion was very good. Dessert was a combination of chocolate angel food cake with cappuccino cream. Great way to end the meal! I usually eat out in Marquette 2 or 3 times a week and had one of the worse experiences at this restaurant yesterday that I have had in years! Waitress offered me a sample of one of their tap beers and as she handed it to me I noticed a long hair on the rim of the glass! Tried to order Merlot and they were out, ordered Two Hearted from their chalk board menu and they were out...ordered bud light. Food was not good, ordered turkey sandwich and the turkey was paper thin on one half and an inch thick on other side, salad tasted wilted. My girlfriend ordered the blackened fish which was blackened because it was burnt! I travel for work and this was the worse food that I've had in a long time. read more

Just OK. Whitefish "burger" was made from a very dry and very fried whitefish pattie. I was envisioning something fresher. Good wings and sauces, good selection of local brews. Someone dropped some serious coin in here. The space is very well done. However it makes me wonder how sustainable it is. They have clothing items already, custom glassware, custom tables, custom parchment paper for the food trays. Server was nice but a bit monotone, not excited about her job. read more

First visit. Funky, fun decor and really eclectic menu. Lots of different influences but overall, it's comfort food. Great cocktails with slight, but innovative twists. Had the Salty Dog (2) actually which substituted lime and lemon juice for the grapefruit, but had a big juicy chunk of grapefruit. Went well with the spicy mushroom soup and Phoritto. The description of the Phoritto on the menu was not very descriptive of what came out, (did not describe a wrap) but it was good. Nice touch for Andrew (chef) to stop by after I'd finished for a chat. Cool spot and look forward to trying other items in the future. read more

I have been here a few times now. Food is actually pretty good! The service is ok. They don't seem to have the best attention to detail. The past few times they have cashed out the wrong check and that led to more money being charged on my card. They have also put the wrong items on my bill when I did not order these certain items. And the most recent, we ordered a sandwich and it was missing the sauce. Asked the server to bring us some on the side and she brought us the incorrect sauce. Had to track her down and ask again and she seemed a little short with us. So overall, good food but something goes wrong every time I've been there. read more

Coming from a Chefs POV. Service was quite lame .Boring servers that are not enjoying there job. or making me fee welcome. My food took over 30 minutes to be served and it came out cold. as if it was sitting in the window for 10 minutes. my fries were soggy , and my pork sandwich was very dry, blan, cold, and unappetizing. Was not impressed. It appeared that there was but one server, there was another young lady there who got up to help the server a bit, so the server seemed a bit overwhelmed, although she was polite. We were given water at the table, the water is served in reused wine bottles, cute, but the water is warm and the glasses for water are the small sample glasses that bars use for sampling beers- so no ice. We did not ask for larger glasses with ice so maybe they just expect customers ask for ice. The decore was nice HOWEVER out of 7 tv's only two had a game showing, the other 5 were showing a revolving display of Digs advertisement, when asked if we could have a game turned on to one of the 5 we were told no. Only the two behind the bar were for anything other than ads. The food, my husband ordered the Ruben and he said it was one of the best Rubens he has had, the chips however were not good, not soggy but tasted like oil and not good oil. I ordered the mac & cheese that came with soup, I chose the tomato basil coconut. The Soup was good , the Mac and cheese did not have Panko on it which it was advertised as having, and truth be told I would rather have Kraft Mac & cheese. I poured my left over soup over the Mac & cheese and that made it better. But for $15.00 (no protein ) it was a major disappointment. The drinks, my first drink was the hard Rootbeer float it was ok. The second was the beet drink and that was good, I had wanted a tomato mojito and the waitress said they were out of Basil and Dill and the stuff needed for the drink. Oh, and the appetizers, we had the pretzel bites and Kimichi balls both were good. Normally we like to give a place a second try, just in case it was an off night but I don't think so with this one. read more

We were there on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was 1/2-3/4 full. Service was outstanding! Whitefish cakes were amazing, nice balance with the slaw and aioli. I had the Digs Rueben also very good, kimchi played well. My wife had the chicken and waffles. We both thought they were ok. It's not a bone in piece of fried chicken like you would expect. The chicken was a little over done. Drinks were very good. We will definitely come again. read more

My boyfriend and I split the poutine, the fried chicken sandwich, and a pound of wings and it was all amazing. It's not just "bar food", and i could tell they cared about the plates we received. I was highly disappointed with this bar. I turned 21 earlier this year and as my first time going out with friends in Marquette I was turned down because I didn't look enough like my ID that was taken only months before. The bouncer, Antwaan "Bubba", was incredibly disrespectful when handling my ID and countlessly accused me of being underage in inappropriate ways. Made my first night out on the town an experience I'm ready to forget. Also I was made aware that on the same night there was underage people admitted without questioning. read more

Really really good service and really cool atmosphere. I was really not impressed with the food unfortunately - I got a burger that was really dry (ordered medium) and it was not a $13 burger (pretty small and half a slice of bacon??). Pictures of hand cut fries on the screens - that's not what we got. Cheese curds were good as an appetizer but not an $8 side though. I hear the wings are the thing to try - might go back for that and then see how I really feel about the place. Two adults and a kid at $60...kinda let down but will maybe try again with different menu items. If we go with less plain menu items maybe better? read more

In town visiting my family and they suggested digs for dinner this evening. We were sadly disappointed. To start we were a party of 7 and it took about 15 min for the entire table to get a water. When we received our food the plates had many errors. 1 salad was supposed to have Bleu Cheese dressing (said on the menu) but instead had some sort of raspberry vinaigrette. When we told the waitress she apologized and brought Bleu Cheese dressing out.... but the salad was already covered in Raspberry vinaigrette, we were never asked if we wanted it remade with the correct dressing. Another error was the Cesar salad with steak, the salad came out with a blueberry dressing and no steak. When we told the waitress she apologized and took the salad. Our sons cheeseburger was also forgotten. When the Cesar salad finally came out with the steak it still had blueberry dressing... ITS A CESAR SALAD... the steak in the salad was completely over cooked and dry. Once everyone was done eating my sons cheeseburger finally came out. Surprisingly it was delicious. We also ordered 2 fish sandwich and it was completely inedible. The fish cake tasted like thanksgiving stuffing between a bun. We will not return. read more
