Absolutely love this place. I do 80% of my clothes shopping here now because the prices are so good and they generally have exactly what you want you just have to look for it. This Dillard's has the best deals!!! I know it's a clearance so it's given but very often when u do clearance stores they either have the low end stuff or only XXL XL stuff. This location had brands like polo, tommy bahama and other good brands with all different sizes. The deals were like 75-80% off. It made it way affordable. They have plenty to pick from. I negatives is the service is nonexistent and they organize horribly it took awhile to find the brands i was looking for. Other than that the screaming deals make it beyond worth it. I'm certain that you will find whatever it is that you need here. They have tons of shoes, gym gear, dresses bathing suits, coats, purses and more. I came here a little too late last night at about 6:10pm not realizing that the anchor stores were only open until 7pm. I browsed in a hurry for about 25 minutes and since I couldn't try anything on, I didn't buy anything. The store also wasn't very neat or organized, which made it harder to browse but again this is normal at the end of a business day. So far I'd say Dillards Clearance is a great place to get some amazing deals and stock up on all kinds of merch. Some of the prices are even cheaper than Marshalls or TJ Maxx and it's definitely worth taking your time browsing. I think I'll be coming back over the weekend to see if I can score some cheap deals on name brand items. My recommendation is if you decide to shop here, give yourself at least 2 hours to go through the whole store. And make sure to try everything on because it's a final sale and you cannot return or exchange anything for any reason. This was a surprisingly good place to shop! It's organized pretty well but we were disappointed by how few size L shirts there were for men- there were tons of every other size but large! There were tons of shirts and many were $7.99 and the rest were at least 65% off the regular price- the most we spent was $33 for a shirt. They had really organized shoes too. There was a good selection of men's sport coats and jackets too. There was a dressing room where you can try things on and it was manned by someone organized too. There are no exchanges or returns so just keep that in mind. We were overall impressed that it was organized and clean and much nicer than we expected! read more

OMG -- huge store with fabulous selection of designer clothes. We had a CA charity event to attend ("cocktail attire") and I was a woman with a mission! On the hunt for a dressy sports coat and dress shirt for my beloved. Found a gorgeous Ted Baker sports coat with an original price tag of $699 on sale for $60!!! Coupled that with a Hugo Boss black dress shirt and WOW -- the look was definitely James Bond! This store had beautiful Kate Spade purses, Johnny Was clothing at great sale prices plus Tommy Bahama clothing at 65% and 70% off !! This is a fantastic find! I shared with my spouse this is worth coming to annually. Lots of clothing for big and tall which I love but also sizes for everyone! They get clothes from 7 states and is the largest I've seen for clearance. It's hard for me to find my size and I found some great bargains here for 65% off. Worth the stop if you are in the area. Looking for fancy dresses for a family wedding I was dismayed to realize it was a clearence center . Crap nobody wants with holes in it. Then we went in. Omg...clean, organized and color coded. I.couldn't.even.believe.it. As a bonus everything was 50 percent off. Designers. Beautiful merchandise. If I lived here i wouldn't shop anywhere else. We all got outfitted for wedding. I went shopping for Christmas gifts, I'm in a wheelchair, I couldn't move around in this store at all, I kept getting stuck everywhere I turned, if I hadn't had a friend with me! My wife warned me not to go in here because it is now so depressing. This store was once as close to the quality of a Nordstrom's as we had in Colorado Springs, with fine cabinetry, luxurious surroundings and all the things a first class department store would have. It is more like a poorly run thrift store now, with acres of straight racks. When I think back to how much I used to enjoy shopping here I could almost cry. Dillard's should peel their name off of the store and rename it even if they do nothing else. The remaining Dillard's at Chapel Hills Mall is not close to what this store used to be. It is more like a Kohl's or Penney's. I know other reviewers give it three stars because of the bargains, but I'm thinking that by the time I would pay for the therapy/drugs to overcome the depression I would not come out ahead. I have a love hate relationship with the store. I do love that you can find some great steals here, but why, for the love, because it's a clearance store, does it have to look and reek of sadness in there. It isn't necessarily dirty but soooo dated and not welcoming at all. Super hit-or-miss but this is a clearance center, so you can't always go in expecting to find what you're looking for. But man, every once in awhile you'll find some treasure here. Employees here are equally hit-or-miss. Few are very helpful; others could care less and certainly show it. But then again, that's like most Dillard's I've perused. I visited earlier this week to shop for dress shirts and they had almost none. I mean, like 5 shirts total for each neck size. Based on past visits though, they'll likely be fully stocked in a week or two. I've never come across anything less than 40% off - but usually you're looking at 60% or more and the quality isn't compromised for that price - they're just looking to move things that are out of season or overstocked. Pro tip: Buy your suits here at a deep discount and you'll get compliments everywhere you go - like I said, they don't compromise in the quality of their threads. Bonus pro tip: Take that suit you bought a little ways up the road to 'A Stitch in Time by Diane' and get it tailored. She's the best in town! read more

THIS IS A CLEARANCE OUTLET. My husband and I were checking out the Citadel Mall, which to our dismay wasn't all that great. We were about to leave when I saw the Dillard's and asked if we could check it out before we left. He begrudgingly agreed. When I first entered, it appeared that the store was closing but was very organized. All the clothes are by size and then color coded - so if you are say looking for a blue dress in a size 8, they are all hung next to each other. I hopped on over to the children's clothes after asking for directions from a friendly staffer. I found tons of items already on clearance and then you got an extra 40% off the clearance price! I purchased 3 heavy pea coats, 4 long sleeve bodysuit/onesies, and 2 dresses for my baby and my total came to $20! Amazing! read more

I think the fact that this department store is located in the Citadel Mall does nothing to benefit this Dillard's location. In fact, it makes it hard for me to even look at the spendy price tags when I know GenX (a cheap, low quality clothing store offering up "trendy" scandalous designs) is just right ouside the door! In other words, I head to the Citadel Mall when I am looking for a bargain, so Dillard's is generally the last place I end up. That being said, I think the staff here is overly friendly. During my last visit I was dress shopping and there were 3 employees standing by the register and the dressing rooms. I walked by and one lady asked me how I was doing and if I needed help finding something. I said "fine" and "not yet" and proceeded to shop. Then not 3 minutes later, the girl standing right next to her asked me the exact same questions! Seriously?! Did you not just hear that I was already addressed by your co-worker? But I answered, politely. After finding 2 dresses, I passed by the register to check out the other side of the store- dresses in hand. As I walk by, not making eye contact and clearly still browsing, the lady asks if I need a dressing room. NO! I am just walking by looking around! Leave me alone! I will come to you when I am ready!!! I didn't say any of that to her, but boy was I thinking it! When I finally was ready to try my dresses on, I was given a dressing room and then bombarded with questions. Where was I going? What was the occasion? Even trying to talk up my husband who I had dragged along on this shopping trip. I came out to show my husband each dress and received the same old tired sales pitches- "OMG that looks so good on you!" Ugh... We HAD to get out of there and fast. I know this review sort of turned into a venting session, but I think there is something to be said for overly pushy customer service. About 2 years ago I stumbled into this mall after a Sunday hike. I found a few random items and went to check out. Since everything was on sale, I assumed this location was maybe going out of business. When I asked the cashier checking me out when their last day was, the sweet cashier informed me that this was a Dillard's Clearance center - Dillard's around the country send their sale items that won't move to this location - and much to my joy, they weren't going out of business Let me tell you, I hate shopping at Ross, TJ Maxx, Burlington, etc - I hate digging to find treasure. But my OCD self doesn't mind it here! Everything is beautifully organized and sorted by size and color. I come here at least once a year to just shop for my dad - it's Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts city. (My dad's entire closet is made of these two items.) I have found him multiple silk Hawaiian shirts, originally $90, for just $9. But it's not all Hawaiian shirts and shorts! I've found Calvin Klein gowns and Badgley Mischka dresses for $30 (originally $200+). Michael Kors shoes and Toms boots for $20. Free People and Calvin Klein blouses for $10-12. Yes, no one is on the floor specifically to help you find the perfect prom dress. All employees are either manning the cash registers or putting go-backs from the dressing room away. You have to come here knowing that you will have to help yourself. It's Lone Survivor over here and you are Mark Wahlberg. (Which, by the way - prom dresses are like $16 here. And they are beautiful! It's an outlet store, so the deals are amazing. Also much better organized than most clearance stores, and everything in good condition. The only downside is, it looks pretty dungeon-y haha. It can be fairly off-putting when you walk in the door... but stick with it, you'll save a ton of $$$ and get good clothes. Honestly the place looks like a dirty old run down Filene's basement but for men there's rows and rows of shirts like you wouldn't believe for dirt cheap I mean literally $100 shirts for $12. I bought a sports coat for $20!! You can spend a hour in there just looking through the dress shirts and they're all organized color coded so makes it easier because there are so many shirts it can be overwhelming. I like Dillard's but I'm really not a huge fan of the Citadel. Some of the sales people are annoying... Like the lady in handbags... OMGoodness, Hover much!? I had both hands full of dresses I had just bought from the women's clothing department, so I couldn't steal anything if I wanted to. That didn't stop Bag Bouncer from actually watching me and walking so close to me I could hear her breathing... Ugh seriously! It was a bit frustrating. After selecting a couple shirts, I was approached by Ms Song Hong ..... she spent the next 10 min with me finding the perfect tie to complement the shirts .... Ms Hongs expertise was in the Polo section, but came over to the adjoining Mens Suits area specifically to assist me .... Absolutely superb Customer Service .... as usual, I'm procrastinating by waiting until the last minute to purchase the shirts for a special occasion the next day .... Ms Hong went out of her way to ensure the off-the-rack shirts were pressed and wrinkle free before I left the store .... above and beyond service I have ever experienced at a Men's clothing store previously .... I should add that the dress shirt and tie selection at Dillard's far exceeds what I found at MW or BCF ..... The attention given by Ms Hong has created a Dillard's customer for life .... read more

Prices are out standing and they have a hreat variety for plus size in shirts amd pants. Wish they had a better selection of plus size dresses and coats. The cleanliness of the store and their dressing rooms are appalling. The customer service during nights and weekends is also terrible. read more

I've always liked Dillard's and we shop there frequently. Unfortunately, this location has become an overstock or warehouse of sorts- each department has been dismantled and the clothing and shoes appeared to be lumped together for sale. No cosmetics, perfume or jewelry counter remain. I prefer a department store to be appointed as such- as for us, we'll likely be shopping exclusively at the Chapel Hills Mall location going forward. It's always possible this branch might not have been doing well? Unsure of what happened here, but it's not what you'd hope for in a Dillard's. read more

I much prefer shopping online, but sometimes you just have to walk into a department store to shop for something. And sometimes you are reminded that stores like Dillard's are relics of another era that will eventually fade away and disappear. I stopped in at Dillard's to buy a dress shirt and a tie. The layout made it difficult to even find what I needed. Yeah, after I found the section full of shirts and ties, it was obvious, but it took me some time to locate where in the store I needed to be. Ultimately, I found what I was looking for and paid what I considered to be a pretty expensive price for what I bought, although I was happy with the merchandise and they were just what I was looking for. However, a major annoyance was navigating through all the store clerks standing around watching me shop, and answering the five of them who stopped me to ask if I needed any help or if I was finding everything OK. Yes! Please just let me shop! I suppose some people may like all the attention, but I prefer to enter a store, find the items I am looking for, pick them out, then pay for them. In addition, there was a large section of the men's department that was half-empty and appeared to perhaps be under some sort of renovation. However, it was a big turn-off and gave the store an appearance of a store that was going out of business. As I was making my way to the register to pay for my items, I stopped to browse at a rack of t-shirts and found that they were all locked to the rack with a cable! No thanks - how can I really look at a t-shirt if I can't even pull it from the rack? It was at that point that I decided I was done shopping and made a bee-line to the register to pay and get out of there. read more

This location really sucks at customer service I felt extremely uncomfortable shopping at this location because whenever someone did ask if I needed help it was in a very hesitant way and more so for them to look me up and down this happened twice from two different employees. The first was a older white woman with sandy blonde hair tall in women's wear the other a middle age woman dark brown hair in dresses both hesitant and both seeming to want to say more than can I help you. I went into the store after leaving HM and Burlington I had very heavy bags and it was hard for me to carry them while looking at there deals they had scattered through the store. At check out I mentioned that my visit was not the most welcoming and that I wasn't sure if it was the fact that I had entered the store already having large bags. Or the fact that one bag had a hanger sticking out so perhaps they felt I had taken something without paying and stashed it in my bag the majority of clothing there does have sensors which you can just snap off so otherwise I'm not sure why they choose to stare. The check out lady was nice but I'm definitely not returning and if your a dark skin person of color I'd stand clear. read more

I had the unfortunate opportunity to run into one of you employees Sue. She was VERY rude and CONFRONTATIONAL. That woman is going to lose you a lot of business, starting with a group of 7 young ladies that purchased all their dresses for prom as well and ALL their dances at your store. There was quite a line and she allowed two people to jump in front of everyone else because they forgot two things in their cart. That being said, that should not be allowed to happen. It is very inconsiderate for the other people who had been waiting in line. If everyone was allowed to follow this example this would cause TOTAL chaos. My 80 year old mother was one of those in line. Even the older gentleman cashier said something about this situation not being fair to the other customers either. She proceeded to come over to me while I was sitting in the chair near the cash register. She started out with :"Can I help you with something? In a nasty voice. Then she proceeded to tell me that the situation was "None of my business" and It was "Not my place to say something" Excuse me, but it does concern me when my little 80 year old mother was waiting in line. They seemed to be understaffed as well. Which was handled very well by the two gentleman. They were apologetic about the wait. The younger man with long hair was particularly helpful and nice. I can tell that we will NOT be going back. I worked with the public for 15 years and this is NOT the way you treat customers. There are SO many other places to shop as well. Im a dentist and my husband a doctor .I say this to say I don't need to shop lift out of a clearance marked down Items.I just love to shop and save money like everyone else. One young lady name Miliana in the purse and makeup perfume section.Was very rude !!!! I was mother's day shopping with my son and I didn't have a shopping cart they don't have them.just mesh bags many women was surrounding the makeup cases.it was a great sale going on.as I was browsing still and selecting products and the young lady took my stuff and place it behind the counter telling me when I'm ready to check out left her know Inform her Im still browsing She said that ok it will be here behind the counter.I was embarrassed and humiliated In front of my son and the other ladies.I asked why are requiring to take my merchandise and not everyone ELSE ? she said store policy.None of this stuff was in the a security case.Or any signs saying you must check out there.I asked for a manager she never got me one.I reported it to a supervisor on the next floor in the ladies department.I got apology.But told her I all most didn't want to buy anything by the treatment I received. Sometimes I'll find twenty different things to try on and end up buying quite a bit for a great price but other days I won't find anything worth buying. This Dillards has no customer service skills at all!! Your employees need to learn how to problem solve! I came in there looking for a homecoming dress for my daughter and she found one that fit finally after 2 hours of looking through mis matches , well I guess her dress happened to be one of the mis matches and they wouldnt sell it to me. No trying to help just straight up wont sell it. I found several others that were also mis matched and others that had no top or skirt and the sales ladys explanation for this was to say the the other half was probably floating around, my response was yea okay sure, then she proceeded to tell me to leave and that she didnt want my business anyways like she owned the place!
