Well, it's been a while since I've been inside a Dillard store! I didn't have one in California. Sometimes I did go online and buy a few pieces from the designer Antonio Melani. But I discovered yesterday the store has added a new brand I like, Kate Landry. I used to purchase her pieces at another store years ago, and then she disappeared. Now, I know why she's in Dillards. Dillard's has brought on more new brands that I enjoy too! The Buyers are doing a good job. But let me tell you about the store! It's spacious and organized well. It's two floors; the bottom consists of women's shoes, cosmetics, men's, and nightgowns: Top-floor all ladies. Dillard's has always been a pretty store full of glass and mirrors. And they always stood out in a class by themselves. I'm glad to be back shopping at Dillard's. read more

Had occasion to visit the Dillards in Willowbrook mall. Quality products (absolutely love the gold label no iron shirts). They don't seem to have significant sales (like Macy's might). These idiots sold me a broken dress, offered me 10% discount and forgot to apply the discount to the dress and when I get back the stupid manager applied $2.00 out of $90 dress. Great selection. Least helpful staff of any department store I've ever been in. The last three times I've been, I've walked out empty handed because no one has offered to help. Either I can't get a dressing room or a shoe in my size or find a cash register open. Today was strike three. I walked the ENTIRE shoe department. Picked up no less than 5 shoes that I was interested in. Was within 3 feet of no less than 4 different associates. None even said hello. As I was leaving, someone said "oh did you need help." I relied, "I did, but no one offered. So I'm leaving and will not be back." While there at least one other girl was having issues find assistance as well. Utterly ridiculous. read more

Customer service okay by the gentleman but I had a return and they tried giving me a sale price even though my return had a receipt sticker on it. Sticker on the shoe box. This is how these companies treat customers. It's all about the company / their sales commission, and not us. Shame. This is a Dillard mall department store. Very big (3 levels) and plenty of merchandise to look at. The only odd thing is my GF and I were walking around looking for a dress and no one came up to us to greet us or ask if we needed help. Been about 10+ years since I have been in a mall store but I thought they had associates that work off commission or bonus for sales? We did find a great dress and then we had to walk to a register that had a associate working to get ringed up. No issue with the associate who rang us up, polite and friendly and fast. Just wish someone would of greeted us or asked us if we needed any help because at entrance on first floor no one did, we were not sure which level we needed to go to so we had to review map near escalators and then on the correct floor no one to ask were the a particular style dresses were so we just had to walk around until we stumbled upon them. But in the end we figured things out and got the dress she needed. Dillard a has a lot of nice merchandise and of course we will return read more

Not sure what the big Dill is... if you get into a pickle just come here and do some shopping. Dillard's at Willowbrook is pretty nice and Barbie and I spent quite a bit of time in here looking at various different types of things. It's a huge department store that is sort of like Macy's or JCPenney, but a little bit less famous and popular. Prices are similar and maybe we like it a little bit more than Macy's. read more

I have to say I am in the process of preparing for a red carpet event when I realized the only dress I want could be purchased online only and I didn't have my Dillard card! I called customer service (they were nice but could not help and were unable to brainstorm solutions.... ) they had me go back to the store and attempt something that didn't work and they should have known better. I bought a jacket at the Houston Gallaria Dillads a week ago for $139. Now its reduced permanently for $83. I took it back for a credit the sales lady "Carmen" said we don't do that you can return it if you want but we don't give credit. So I agreed to return it. I had the receipt and tags then she said the tag is not attached so I wont return it. it is very clear that the jacket is not worn since the extra button envelope is still attached. All US retailers are fair and treat customers fairly. I felt I was cheated out of $50 at Dillards Houston Galleria store. Will never shop there again. when the store policy is different from all other stores they should tell the customer. the customer service manager "Eddie" said you should read the back of the receipt. Visiting my parents and their towels are horrible. So I went to Dillard's. The female sheriff with the short haircut followed me around very obviously. At one point I felt standing very visibly and staring straight towards me. You are a miserable person and do not deserve to wear a uniform. I had gathered quite a few items on my way to the registered which seemed to annoy her. I asked what time they closed and she barked out "9". Still 15 mins to closing I went to men's to pick up a couple shirts for my nephew and while being rung up in accessories I picked a bag for my niece. She continued to follow me. Both my friends commented on how she was following as we began to leave the store. This is not a safe place for people of color to shop. White female cops with horrible mid 2000's lesbian haircuts will follow you around. You're an idiot and I hope you need unemployment benefits very soon. read more

So you know how people have Target as a crack store? Well this one is mine!! Dillard's is my go to store for every need, whether for a party, social event, gala, or the beach. They always have sales and if you create a bond with the sales people, I can assure you that they will go out of their ways to contact you or let you know ahead of time. During the sales I take advantage to buy name brand shoes, purses, clothes, for my entire family. Where else can you buy Toddler Nike Shoes for $15? Ralph Lauren T's as low as $8? My fave sales people are: Gloria in seasonal (known her for over 15 years), Consuelo (Women's), and Yih..... I spent several hundred dollars on my purchase, the sales staff are racially motivated to help, meaning if you are not Caucasian, Hispanic, middle eastern, or Asia you will get little to no help at the perfume counter, or handbags. There are some great salespeople scattered about but the ladies that have been in the handbags and perfume are for the last 10 yrs need to leave they are not welcoming at all. So upset to see how my once favorite store is now filled with trash. read more

After my disappointing visit at Macys (former Foley's), I stopped by Dillard's. For some reason, I have not visited this Texas based retailing standard in the 10+ years I've been in Houston. I discovered this was to my detriment. I stopped a sales lady in Men's and asked where Tall men's clothes were. She didn't point, give directions but walked me over to the section and introduced me to the salesman who worked that spot. The salesman asked what I liked, then pointed out items that matched that description. I did end up with a couple casual shirts. The rest of the store was much like that. This isn't a cheap store, but it's worth it to get people who fall over themselves to help. I went to the shoe department and bought two pairs after a pleasant but I am sure suffering salesman dragged out a zillion pairs he thought would fit my style and wide foot. This was in direct contrast to the Macy's guy who said they "might" have wide shoes online. I'll be back. read more

Great selection of formal dresses upstairs, however poor customer service from the associate upstairs, specifically in the "plus size" section. I realize I'm not plus size, but this women saw me scrummaging through dresses and looking at sizes. She walks right past me and makes a snobby comment "These are all plus sizes". Stopping what I was doing I responded "Well it dosnt matter, It's for my mother-in-law", whom by the way was in the restroom. She then had the audacity to respond "Heh, is your mother-in-law a plus size?" I then told her it didn't matter if she was or not due to we would need to take the dress to get it altered anyway. Extremely rude and uncalled for. I don't walk around asking what size are you, nor should anyone assume whom I'm shopping for. I realize I am thin and I do not belong in that section, but had she kept her mouth shut, no one would have had a problem. I could be in the men's section shopping for my father, what is she going to tell me this is the men's section? Wish I got her name to report her uncalled for comments. read more

This is the absolute WORST Dillard's regarding customer service.i bought my husband the wrong size shirts for his birthday. No, I didn't keep the receipts. I tried to exchange them but was rebuffed my the clerk & manager, since I didn't ave the damn receipt. I showed them the credit card charge via my credit card app to no avail. This Dillards is conveniently located in the center section of the Willowbrook Mall. Unlike the Macy's here both Men's and Women's clothing along with everything else is located in this one store. I went a bought a pair of Uggs from here recently. I got home and found that I had been given a size 6 and a 9 shoe! I thought I was pretty much screwed since I live in San Antonio and don't have the time or even a reason to go back to Houston. Well, a lady named Charlotte responded to my situation very promptly and sent me the missing shoe! She seriously went above and beyond and made sure I got what I needed. Thank you so much. Not the best customer service. Bought a dress at the store and noticed that it was cheaper online that same night. So I called and asked if they did price adjustments and she said no. I will be returning this dress today because I noticed on the receipt it said 3 days return policy. 3 days!! They just have the worst customer service, which is why the store is always empty. I went to buy my twins first pair of shoes today. I was looking forward to buying these shoes all day! But after going to Dillard's to buy the stride rite shoes... I love the shoe department at Dillard's. I can always find a parking spot close to the door. They have hooker heals, comfy flip flops, comfy shoes everything you need. I seldom take the time to write a review on anyone, but on Tuesday, January 7th, I came into your store to exchange a pair of boots that I received for Christmas. I was greeted very warmly by Amber Salman. I have never experienced an employee that went to the effort she did to help me find the perfect replacement boot. She brought out one boot after another that she thought might suit my needs, always with a smile on her face and a genuine "I want to help you attitude". Willowbrook Mall is not one if the places that will ever get my business . First and foremost , the store manager by the name of Sharon had to have been having a really bad day,, She doesn't know how to speak to people . Her language as a manager was very shocking and rude to me.After I asked her nicely if she could get me a clear bag for my belongings , She told me to sit up front while she gets it , and I said No , I have to go downstairs, I LL get it later, She then said , Next time I tell you to sit up front , don't tell me no, I humbled myself and didn't say anything, I told her thank u,and proceeded downstairs , Well I get downstairs , I'm saying hello to the fragrance manger where I'm station to work , she's not speaking to me , she's mad , and is also sharing with the other associates that , I was rude to the store manager Mrs Sharon., So now she decides to ask me why was I rude with the store manager, please keep in mind this is only my third time here, I said you mean why was she rude to me, I then go upstairs and talk to Mrs Sharon to see if everything was ok cause I didn't think it was an issue ,She then says for me to leave her store along with her store manger Dustin that was nearly about to step on the back of my shoes telling me to get out!
