We love Dillard's at Fashion Place when it comes to shopping for gifts and our fragrance collection. Our favorite person is Mattie who works at the Maison Francis Kurkdjian (MFK) counter. He's always so thoughtful about how he discusses fragrances and patient with all of our questions. We have bought several bottles and recently got them engraved. We love this option and adds to the value of our experience. He's also able to help with other fragrance Houses/Lines. Highly recommend asking for Mattie, and choosing Dillard's for your fragrance desires in Utah. read more

I've been struggling to find some classic, high-quality pieces for my wardrobe and finally made my way to Dillard's...why I didn't start there, I'm not sure. As I was browsing through the racks of clothing, Rose approached and asked if she could help me. I desperately told her that I need someone to pick out some items for me-I hate shopping and am terrible at finding things that look good one me-and she went to work. She was attentive and helpful, without being overly pushy. She went out of her way to make sure the items I'd selected to purchase were steamed and packaged up nicely. The selection in the store was pretty good. Some sections were not my style, but others were just what I was looking for. I was able to get a few things I needed, and a few that I just fell in love with. read more

Their service has gone down horribly. I took an item back that I never used, and I had the proof of purchase and everything and they wouldn't give me even a store credit for something that was never even used or worn. It's like a Ghost Town there there's definitely more employees than there are shoppers at the store and there's reason the service blows. and the Asian customer service representative wasn't any helpful either she pretended like she barely knew any English and that was not true. Biggest let down of the year ! There was no sale like every year in the past ! They had some things in each department that had a red tags on some Items but very little discount . Some Christmas items were on sale but didn't impress . Personally every year I ask for gift cards to shop here during their New Years sale ! What was once exciting adventure and showed customer appreciation turned into a huge let down. Won't be asking for gift cards to shop here anymore ! Not sure why as a Company they went this direction but was very disappointed. Despite Covid and it's challenges their other competitors manage to have pretty big New Years Sales . Employees even mentioned their disappointment along with other shoppers . I suggest if your looking for a deal to visit once in awhile to see if there is some random sale occurring . Austin from the men's suits department was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, and he also had an impressive sense of style! The atmosphere of this store is horrifying! I don't know how people still shop here. I have been going here over the years and am continually disgusted by their employees behaviour so much that this las visit will be my last. There is continually no one around to help you when you actually need help but 5 people swarming you like a wolf pack if you have items in your arms to try and "steal" you away from other workers for commission. It's disturbing behaviour. 99% of the people who work here are extremely rude, unprofessional, mean. Yesterday, no one greeted me and my mom/basically ignored us until we were looking for a dressing room we finally found someone who was halfway nice. We had items from several sections-including swimsuits but while in the swim section we witnessed an employee who was sitting at the register on her phone ignoring all the customers yell "IM OVER HERE!" When another employee went over to try to help people who wanted help while she was ignoring them-but god forbid the other worker steal a sale! After witnessing that, we went to another dressing room and the sweet lady helping in the dress section went back to the swim department to get another size for us, when she brought it back to us i could overhear a muffled heated chat-come to find out when I excited the dressing room-the extremely rude lady from the swim department was watching our door waiting for us to come out and get a sale-even though she didn't help us! I was appalled. I believe she told the other sweet lady to leave and she was going to check us out because we had items from the swim even though she did nit help us at all let alone talk or even look at us while we were there! I am in complete shock at how she was acting. It was truly unbelievable. I feel so bad for the sweet lady who seemed to have been bullied by the other lady. I couldn't find her after. That behaviour is UNACCEPTABLE. Then when I was ready to checkout, I genuinely spent 15 minutes trying to find someone to check me out! It was ridiculous, inconvenient, and wilding irritating. And she was literally so rude to me and acting like I was putting her out for her doing her job-WHAT!!! I am so over this store and the incessant horrendous behaviour and experiences I encounter in very time I'm at this store. I won't be returning. It is truly outrageous and I am completely shocked that this is a running store that is actually in business because I am truly disgusted and completely horrified by this store and the way they are allowing things to be run. BEWARE: Went in to get color matched for some foundation. Promotion was going on to spend $100 and get $25 gift card. Spent over $100. Was told I could spend that gift card right away so I did since I was there. Tried the makeup at home and it was a horrible match. Not sure if she accidentally grabbed the wrong color or untrained. Tried to return and they told me since I used the gift card I couldn't return, exchange or receive store credit. They wouldn't even let me switch for the right color. I even asked if I could return what I got with the gift card so I could return the foundation. Nope. I was never told about the "special return policy" that isn't stated on the receipt and should have been explained by mouth to me by the sales rep which didn't happen. So I'm paying $$ for their mistakes. Cannot get behind a dishonest and conniving company. read more

I ordered some items from Dillards as a gift for a friend birthday. But I never received the items - the packages show delivered though. I spoke to someone on their chat and was told that they will look into this and will get back to me in 2-3 days. Today, I received an email that they cannot offer any exchange/refund since their records show that it was delivered. I again went on the chat but the person was so rude that instead of being understanding, simply said the same thing and then ended the chat. This is really unacceptable customer service - the worst I have encountered ever. I have been a loyal customer of Dillards, but with this attitude I am not buying with you in future, ever. read more

Plus size section is quadruple the size of Macy's at this mall. That said, there's a decent selection of casuals and business for women ages 25-55. Pretty small and messy Home section with most things sold out. read more

I love Dillard's. Customer service is always there to help, good selection of a variety of Price point clothes. Good customer return policy. If you stop their sales, you can get really good deals on the designer fashions. read more

Pretty dumb for the mall to re-open when all the stores inside are closed. However Dillards was open. Great shoe collection but that's it. No sales nothing. I was there to buy a present of perfume and they had put away all the samples to smell. Thank god I knew what I wanted so it was easy. Pay and go. We went and looked at the kids section and hardly any sizes and overpriced. I dare say more expensive then Nordstrom. Pass. I doubt I will ever shop here again. You call and management doesn't give a crap about how you are treated. DO NOT get a credit card for their store either. Trying to find a sales person to help with sections is absolutely ridiculous. When I finally found a woman she acted as if I was committed a sin by asking her if they had red velvet blazers for women. She told me maybe I'm another section and she would have to leave her area to show me, I had to almost run to try and keep up with this woman. This is a hard NO for me!! I'm generally a fan of Dillard's and department stores in general, and while for the most part the Fashion Place mall where this is located excels in many areas, this particular Dillard's just doesn't quite compete with its Sandy based counterpart in the South Towne mall. This is certainly a smaller store in comparison, or at least it feels so, and while that is not bad I think the inherent smaller selection and more crammed in style just doesn't help with the overall experience and to me it seems that makes the level of customer service less also - maybe because it's not quite the prize like other locations. I also think some of the issue is that Fashion Place went through an overall renovation in the last couple of years and some really high profile stores have moved in among these older stead fasts and they are struggling to keep up with the fresh, new, revitalized look. It's still Dillard's, and it's fine because of that - but I'd not go out of my way to visit this particular one unless I had another reason to visit Fashion Place since the other mall I mention is closer to home. read more

When they revamped this Dillard's about a year ago, I was so pleased with the stock and service. A year later, the business section for women is almost non-existent and finding staff anywhere is near impossible. On the plus side, the brands they carry are still really good, such as Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Vince Camuto, etc. All these brands cut clothes well for women. And I hope their purse section always has Coach, Brahmin, Kate Spade and Michael Kors. read more

Some friends and I were shopping for homecoming dresses. Our friends were trying on dresses with us and one of them are trying to transition and our other friend was trying to support them and helping boost confidence. While we were trying on dresses a worker came in and told us if we weren't going to buy anything we needed to leave. We have shopped here every year for our dresses for high school dances. We will not be going here for our dresses anymore and they should not be treating people this way. Another time I went in I was looking for a corset. An employee said they only go up to a certain cup size while she looked at my chest and looked back at me disgusted. We won't be caught spending $300 on a $50 dress. I use to buy Shiseido here. The lady works there is pretty nice and friendly. However she rarely gives out samples, just one small sample or none. I remember a customer moved from Vegas was complaining about she never get any samples here. I guess I am also use to the Shiseido in Colorado and they always gave out a lot of free stuff. No matter what do NOT purchase a high end vintage Louis Vuitton bag at Dillard's, they are in such bad shape and WAY WAY WAY over priced, do yourself a favor and purchase from a bag dealer or eBay you will get a much nicer bag for the money. No matter what Dillard's will not give your money back once they have it, truly awful customer service, it was one hour later and the zipper didn't work well and they flat refuse to do a thing once they have your money that is all they care about. Shop Neiman or Nordstrom they back their products. AWFUL store! AWFUL customer service!! Dillard's is a mistake, there are much better stores. read more

love me some dillards! however. i've had quite a few bad experiences here. first off, i feel like i can NEVER find an employee. Need a dressing room? do 7 laps around the store then you'll find one. Want to checkout? good luck! you'll be looking for 30 minutes. super frustrating. also, a time i was able to track someone down and ask them to open a room i was told "that's not really my job, just find someone else" REALLY???! big yikes. makes it hard to want to return. all it takes is a few sour employees and it all goes south. that particular experience had left a bad taste in my mouth with dillard's for a while. i hope they can change around their customer service. it's appalling. i do love dillard's but they need some updates and maybe better leading for their team. no store employees should treat customers, or anyone for that matter, like that. I bought a pair of sunglasses from this place and wore them for a couple days and decided I did not like them and wanted to return them. Went back to the sunglasses spot to return them and the guy who works there, was super rude and arguing with me saying since I wore them they won't accept a return! Then I asked for his supervisor but he just grabbed the lady from the jewelry table and she said the same thing. So I asked for the manager of the store and the guy told me I had to go upstairs to customer service to see the manager. He was really rude and made me frustrated, they have return policy in the store even if you wear the glasses I don't know why they said they don't accept that return. Anyway, after unwanted arguing with the guy, I headed upstairs to go to customer service. I talked to the manager and explained what happened. She was super nice about it. And told me since there is no damage to the sunglasses they accept the return. She said they have a good return policy and she doesn't know why they told me they can't accept the return. She mentioned she will have a talk with those employees. Even though this problem was resolved but I was unhappy with the frustration that was made that day. I think there was a miscommunication between them and their staff don't know about their own policies. One star for this store. Won't go back here. read more

It is amazing how two departments can give such different levels of service. Went to swimsuits, which had a huge selection, but one of the clerks was on the phone making very loud, personal calls the entire time I was there. Really glad there was one clerk who was working. That clerk was great. woman on the phone gets one star. Went upstairs to women's clothing where Shary was incredible. She was balancing about five customers at one time and was polite and helpful to all. She gets five stars. Average those together and we get 3+ stars. Great selection in all departments. SHAME ON @dillards !!! I own over 20 purses and wallets by Patricia Nash. most of them were bought from #dillards . Other than the shoes and jewelry my sisters and I buy from them. Needless to say how frequent shoppers we are. Last Friday we had the worst experience with the most unprofessional customer service in the entire country. Such a shame on #dillardsfashionplace at #Murray #Utah . I still can't believe how rude they were. I bought my sister a purse from the Ogden Dillard's that we usually shop at during the purses festival they were holding 2 weeks ago. I checked the purse during the festival weekend but I didn't' go back to buy it until the Monday just after the festival was over. They were very nice and honored us being loyal customers and still approved the discount of a $50 off even thought the festival was over Sunday night. I asked them if they have the smaller size of the purse so they said no, by fashion place has it. #fashionplace is an hour away from Ogden and my sister and I still drove down to get the purse although the store should brought it to us in Ogden! Anyways we went on Friday night and found the other purse and just wanted to swap transaction and common sense we'll get the same discount. And that's when we were faced by the worst 2 managers in the world. One is called Monika who is the purses department manager @fashionplacemall and the other is an old woman called Sherry who is the cosmetics department manager and both of them didn't want to reveal their last names! They were so rude and didn't value us as loyal customers nor value our time to drive for an hour with two kids to their store and they don't even understand the basics of customer service. They refused to do the exchange transaction saying that the festival is over. We said Ogden didn't have it we had to wait till we have time to drive down and exchange it. They said the management would give us a hard time if we do that, I said I'll write you a review thanking you both for being professional and great in retaining customers. They said you can buy the small purse and go to Ogden and do the exchange their. Excuse me, my sister is a cardiologist and I will have a my masters degree in business in few months, do we have time to keep driving up and down to buy a purse? Is that how Dillard's (Murray, UT) Dillard's value their customer's time and comfort? The old woman called sherry looked at me and said "don't give me an attitude"!!! Terrible customer service!! I purchased three items on sale (65% off on all ) and the following week went to return one of the items. When the sales associate scanned the item for return it said the 3 day period to return was expired. She went to get a manager and when the manager came over she rudely told me that they couldn't accept the return because of the 3 day return window on the sale item and heavily emphasized that it said that on the receipt as well. She then just turned and walked away. I also had an item that I was going to purchase and when the sales associate asked if I would still be purchasing the new item I said no and said I would never shop here again. It was a $27 shirt I was returning. Granted, I should have looked at the receipt but even with that being said who really does and who would assume that a return window would only be 3 days. I've shopped there before and I just think it's really bad store policy to lose a customer and to be talked to condescendingly for not reading my emailed receipt until time of return. read more
