Stopped for lunch. Quiet inside with a very friendly bartender. We were expecting a bit more "nostalgia" or some history about Dillinger but we didn't see anything of that. We had lunch anyway.... we ordered a hamburger with sweet potato fries & a side of coleslaw. The burger was juicy and cooked properly, the sweet potato fries were a bit soft. The coleslaw was really good. As always.... the Beer is very cold !!

    The cool on the kitchen

We used to go to this Pub every time we visited Traverse City. The staff was slow, we had to go and get our own beers. I loved the sweet potato fries in the past bc they come with a cinnamon/honey butter . They brought them out no butter cook said " we don't have honey " Then they made the mistake at putting in front of the entrance to the kitchen ... pure filth! The cook poured grease in the service sink, I took pictures it was so dirty I sent a text to my daughter ( we were suppose to meet there ) and told her not to come we would meet someplace else. It is Sad but we will never be back

Staff was so extremely nice! Went in to watch a football game and they changed the music to the football game which alot of places won't do! We ordered beer by the pitcher and all ordered snacky bar foods! I have stomach issues and ended up outside sick. Thinking the staff was going to kick me out for thinking I was drunk. Instead they brought me water and said anything I needed just ask! They absolutely went above and beyond my expectations!

We enjoyed it so much the other evening we came back tonight. Fantastic perch dinner, highly recommend. Fun, clean atmosphere and able to catch the games on tv.

Low-key with cheap drinks. Great place if you're looking to avoid the pricey, trendy, hipster places

Holy crap this place is the worst. Waited 45 mins for a pizza that was straight up terrible. The service was horrible. The end.

Prices are on par with touristy craft beer destinations. We appreciated the quick accommodating service and the waitress going out of her way to find the FIFA England vs. Panama game. Food was good. I had a Caesar salad with sardines added for $2 and a cheddar white ale soup. Everything was good and fresh. I had a bite of hubby's walleye fried fish sandwich and the tartar sauce was out of this world good. I enjoyed the added ginger. Overall, a nice easy stop along the way. We appreciated they could accommodate 10 of us and indulge the birthday guest with a special German chocolate cake that was purchased at another location. Very awesome customer service. Check them out next time you're downtown and want a local brew pub with good food.

The slight cherry tang invthe bbq sauce created a very appetizing taste. The wings were cooked perfectly and I highly enjoyed them. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner ($29). This is a local michigan-raised pork with a cherry apple chutney. The pork chop was excellent and the cherry apple chutney was a great addition. It came with mashed potatoes and a cucumber corn medley. They both were very good. North Peak Brewing makes their own Root Beer. Honestly that why I chose to come here. Thankfully the Root Beer was excellent. The service was friendly, but not very efficient. I think they are short staffed because the bar tender was also my waiter and he was busy bartendering! Overall I still rate this a 5 star review. The Wings, Pork Chop, and Root Beer were all excellent and I would return for any of them. So yes I would Return.

I walked through the door and patrons were throwing popcorn at each other, dipping napkins in beer, and screaming hoarse obscenities at waitstaff. I understand it is a bar, but I didn't expect to find this in Traverse City. We sat down on the other side of the restaurant--"Doublewide" means there are two restaurants in one building, haha--and waited maybe ten minutes for someone to come take our drink order. My dad's drink order came out wrong and ended up being for the man seated behind us, but that wasn't much of a concern; it happens from time to time at different restaurants, so we didn't think much of it. It was only when we ordered and waited ~1.5 hours for our /appetizer/ that things began to look like a problem. Our waitress was very sweet--small, black hair, and too polite for a job like that. She kept saying that the kitchen was behind and they had a lot of orders, and I believed her; a dingy bar-style restaurant probably doesn't have Michelin cooks to begin with, and then you overwhelm them with a weeks worth of tourism? Anyway I don't remember her name but girlie I'm blowing you a kiss I hope you find a better job After my dad's third refill, though, we never saw her again. Other tables that had more people and had come in after us were getting their food, but we never saw our waitress to ask, and this clearly bothered the man seated behind us (the man who you'll recall had swapped drinks with us, party of one, and hadn't gotten his food either). He, my dad, and I asked another waitress how much longer the food would take and she said she would check, but she came back several times with ambiguous answers and never told us. I never expected to spend so long waiting for food. Again, at this point, all we have received is an iced tea and a water. I have medicine I take for my seizures and a neurological condition and did not take them into the restaurant with me because I did not expect to spend two hours twiddling my thumbs. I told the waitress if she didn't have a solid timetable I would have to leave because I had medicine I had to take, and pointed at my medical bracelet. She scoffed and turned away, and did not answer my question. Anyway, we left six dollars for the iced tea and left because girl what are we doing

When we ordered, the bartender didn't drink which made it hard to know what certain beers taste like, but honestly, no judgement because he did the right thing and offered tastes of beer which was awesome and helpful! So service wise I would say great! The beer tasted really good as well and was decently priced. They had a bourbon barrel stout which was pretty good and newly released. The biggest issue we had was with the food. I ordered the spam sandwich with chips and my wife ordered the chicken quesadilla. While the food was cheap, the quality of the food also seems that way too based off what we ordered. The spam sandwich was supposed to be teriyaki flavored, and didn't get any of that. There wasn't a lot of thousand island dressing on it too, which made the sandwich dry. The chips that were served were clearly out of a bag as they were cold, which made it seem like I could have just gotten a bag myself. I would have paid a few dollars extra to get something fresh like fries. While spam comes from a can and I know this, my wife's chicken quesadilla had chicken that was clearly from a can - it was sopping wet, and the meat was very chunky, and very salty. This made us worry the rest of the food may not be very fresh. While we did have that experience, I will say the pretzel bites were really good and did seem fresh, and they were sourdough! So that was nice. I think this place has very good beer, and a really cool bar setup with a nice stage, arcade machines, and much more. However, I wouldn't come back here for lunch. Instead, I would make food at home. I would highly recommend more fresher options, and I would pay a little more for better quality food.
