Great deal considering what food costs these days... Especially if you come Mon-Friday for lunch... Is dinner on weekends worth the price? Yes. So, no matter when you go, it's still worth it. The food is better than most other buffets. The quality is there, it is good! The amount of customer flow allows them to keep replenishing the food, therefore, new food is constantly being cycled. The inside space is large. Lots of places to sit at. When you come in, you are greeted and asked if you have dined there before.. if so, go ahead... if not, they will explain how it works. We walk in, look for a place to sit, put something non-valuable on our table, or one of us gets food first, then the other. Everything is pretty good there. NOTE: Since it's a buffet, AYCE, get a little of each, don't be the douche wasting food because he/she got so much thinking it would be good, then wasting it because it's not to their taste. Avoid if you wanna pig out Chicken with Vermicelli Soup: Light, flavorful, and loaded with chicken and vegetables Rice w/ Mixed Vegetables: Cooked well and pairs well with the grilled chicken. Rice w/ Vermicelli: It nails the flavor of an Armenian spot that I used to go to. I'll lead on this when I miss that place Eggplant: Good eggplant flavor and I like how the eggplant has a few charred flavor elements within it. Spinach w/ Feta Cheese: It's bad. Too watery, and the cheese didn't do anything to change the flavor. I'm not even sure if the spinach was seasoned. Lasagna: It's a buffet lasagna, so it's flat. We're lucky that they even had it there. It's clearly for kids, and adults should just get something else. Meatballs: It's okay. Did not make it to the 2nd round Fried Chicken: It's for kids, and I'm convinced the batter was not seasoned. Chicken was juicy though. Baked Chicken: 2nd best chicken. Smokey flavors along with a juicy bird. It's been sitting on the rice, so don't forget to get the rice. Chicken w/ Sumac: Best option by far. I don't know how to describe the flavor, but I ate a good amount of this and each piece was just as good as the last. Grilled chicken: Good enough to be bronze, not good enough for a 2nd try. Kafta Kabob: It's a dry ish piece of ground beer. Get because you want a beef flavor, but you gotta put some effort into chewing. Chicken Kabob: It's dry and flavorless. Skip Baked Fish: I wanted to like this, but it's not good. Take once, but I doubt it'll make a 2nd pass. Lamb Shank (You get 1, unless you wanna pay another $14.99): Very good. It's fall off the meat bone and I'm glad I saw it in people's tables and realized that I had to ring a bell to request for it. Ambiance: It's a bright restaurant with a lot of space. I went on an off day so things weren't hectic, but I feel that the place gets rowdy during peak operating hours. Service: It's a buffet. You go in and find a seat. Been to this Dimassi's as well as the now-closed Anaheim location several times. Dimassi's does well with the salads, but comes up short on proteins. A nice variety of very fresh green salads and tasty sides are attractively displayed inviting one to sample each one. There are several rice dishes offered and fresh warm pita to accompany it all. You can enjoy a variety of chicken choices and I recommend the eggplant and stuffed grape leaves. One of the key components in Mediterranean cuisine is lamb and that is where Dimassi's strikes out. No lamb shish kabob to be found here. No lamb shawarma. No lamb kafta. Not even a simple lamb chop. The only lamb item I could find were some dried out shavings of lamb like you would find on a gyro. After trying Dimassi's a few other times this is the way to go! I filled my container with everything I loved from my previous visits, rice, salads, dips and chicken - which came out to about $13 (pay per pound). Takeout offers the ability to portion control, still get exactly what you want, and enjoy a little bit of all of their delicious food for a much more reasonable price. Came here last Sunday for a farewell gathering. The selection of food wasn't great as compared two-three years ago when it was fairly newly opened. The koubideh was overcooked and dry. The gyro wasn't shaved, cut into small pieces and was very dry. They added the lamb shank (1pp) which compensated for the dryness of the other meat. I finally made it to Dimassi's and I was pleasantly surprised. AYCE Mediterranean food? Yes please. I got there when it opened so everything was clean, tidy, and ready to go. They had a big variety of hummus, dips, salads, meats, and lots of different chicken options. The price for an AYCE buffet with such a variety was great. The pita bread was warm but just okay for me. If you didn't eat it quickly, it got hard pretty quickly. Overall, the food was good. Nothing extraordinary but all good. I will say that the gyro meat was confusing. Either they had the meat sitting out a while or it's just the way they make it but it was hard, almost beef jerky like. Drinks are included which includes Rose Water. They have a few fruit and dessert options. Because of the variety, I think this is a place even for vegetarians. As for the service, the Hostess, if that's what she was supposed to be, was barely helpful. According to her, during the lunch hour and when it's not too busy, you seat yourself. You just walk in and find yourself an open table. From that point, you serve yourself and no one comes by to check on you. There are no servers and the only person to come by is the person picking up used plates. Some standouts are the grilled chicken, kefta kabob and fried fish. Dined here on a Sunday night and was expecting a wait, but was able to walk right in. Everything was self serve (including the seating), so it led to some people going the opposite direction as the flow of traffic, which disrupted the line. The location is all "self-served"; you choose your own seats, and from there you serve everything yourself. The food is good in terms of quality and freshness. The bread is made fresh and the stations are constantly refilled. If you like lamb, you are entitled to one bone in lab shank (you have to ring the bell by the naan area to get it). There was a variety of food. My favorite is the thyme pizza since it's such a unique topping on pizza. I also loved the lamb, you have to ring a bell so that a cook can make it fresh.
