Great Indian food in Artesia! Ever since moving to San Jose, I've been craving Indian food when I visit home, and Curry Lounge did not disappoint. We ordered two combo plates, which were more than enough for two people. The portions were generous! The butter chicken was lovely, and it definitely leans into the tomato flavors. However, the two showstoppers for me were the chicken tikka masala and vegetable samosas. They were incredibly flavorful! I also ordered the Masala Chai, which was affordable and tasted authentic. Service was quick and polite. This place is definitely appropriate for a casual lunch or dinner if you're stopping by the Artesia area. Only tough part is finding parking, but the downtown parking lot behind it had technical difficulties when we went, so we parked for free. read more

7/3/2026 First time at Curry Lounge. SAMOSAS (VEGETABLE / POTATO) Good curry and spices that hits you at the end. Strong cumin flavor with visible cumin seeds. The flavor is a bit spicier than I'm used to. The potatoes and peas were fluffy and the outer pastry was flaky with a light crisp. Enjoyed every bite! Came with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. Sadly, the mint chutney tasted a bit funny, like it gone bad. The tamarind chutney was very sweet. I usually eat samomas plain without any chutneys, so it wasn't a problem. The samosas were very good! I would reorder these! PLAIN RICE Not mushy, distinct separation of rice, good texture and it was done well. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA Got this in medium heat, the spicy level was light, just a light hit of spice. I think I could have handled a bit more heat. Overall tomato-based flavor with a bit of creaminess and the chicken were cut bigger, which was nice and moist. There was a bit of smokiness at the end as well. It was delicious with the rice. This was good, but I've had more depth of flavor from other places. LACHHA PARATHA Haven't tried this before. This had light flaky layers. Light in oil flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad, yet I wanted more flakiness and crisp which I did not get. A touch of salt would have been nice too. This was a bit bland. One thing they did not add to my takeout order is utensils. I did see takeout utensils on the way out, so not sure if they want customers adding their own utensils, but it would have been nice if they packed them in your takeout order. CUSTOMER SERVICE Ordered to go via phone. Early afternoon order on a Friday. Called through their number listed on Google. Friendly over the phone and my order were all correct. Order was ready when I arrived. Friendly service all around. Really enjoyed the curry, rice and samosas! Will definitely return to try more curries in the future! PARKING I do not know if there was any parking in the back of the restaurant, but I luckily found street parking close to the restaurant. I give an extra star just for the service. The service was good, but the food was absolute garbage!it just looked good but tasted like paper. The food here taste like different kinds of paper: wet paper, dry paper, hot paper, cold paper. I was so excited to see Szechuan fried rice on the menu. It tasted like wet paper. I was looking so forward to eating the tandoori chicken. It did not even have the classic red color of tandoori chicken and it tasted like hot paper. The noodles were no different. Went here couple times and they never disappoint! Love me some pappadam so I always get that. Their punjbi chicken is the best one imo, so gotta have that one too! All the staff are friendly and nice, they always recommend the best ones. I love their decorations using vibrant color so u won't miss this place from outside too. One of Curry Lounge's specialties, the Amritsari Kulcha with Chole is a popular North Indian dish. Often consumed for breakfast, Amritsari Kulcha is a stuffed unleavened flatbread, traditionally cooked in a tandoor oven. It consists of spiced mashed potatoes, paneer, yogurt, mixed vegetables & onions. Topped with a slathering of butter or ghee. Never served by itself, Amritsari Kulcha is paired with Chole (chickpea curry). For dipping, raita (yogurt) & tamarind chutney complete the meal. I've had Amritsari Kulcha at many establishments in Little India, and Curry Lounge does it the best! An order is large and a generous amount of food, that'll keep you full for the rest of the day. When we're in the mood for Indian food, we know a trip to Artesia is in order. The day we came to Curry Lounge, we trusted our fellow Yelpers to guide us to a place with good lamb Rogan Josh. We went with Curry Lounge and we both left as fans. I'm not sure if they have a dedicated parking area but the few times we've been here, we've been able to find street parking fairly easily. We were greeted and seated immediately. We got our waters and menus and decided to get Jeeera rice (we recently learned about the benefits of cumin seeds so we were all about this rice), garlic naan, butter chicken, and Rogan Josh. We received our food quickly and we were so hungry we dove right in. We devoured our entrees within minutes. All of the proteins were incredibly tender. The naan was perfectly garlicky, butter chicken had a nice kick, and the jeera rice perfectly complimented the dishes. Everything was delicious and service was attentive and friendly! read more

The restaurant was busy but thankfully we were seated quickly. The server was patient helped us navigate the menu. We made sure to ask for mild spices (heat) since traditional Indian dishes can be real spicy! I ordered Chicken Ticka Massla and a vegetable dish while my wife ordered a potato stuffed bread. Although we ordered mild spice I have to say it was still a bit more heat than we are used to. It was good but expect to sweat and dive into some rice to curd the heat. Currry lounge got their classic dishes to the point. We tried few different dishes and everything was full of flavors and tasted excellent. Bone-in butter chicken was the highlight for me. I have had tried many other places but theirs so far I can highly rate it! Saag+Makki Roti was delicious and cooked to its perfection. I'm Indian so trust me when I say this place is a 10/10 on flavor and quality!! It's a small little spot so it does fill up quickly. They also did a lot of take out orders when I went during lunchtime on Sunday. The food did take a bit to come out, so I recommend ordering an appetizer. Love this place! This is my second time coming here, first time was before my group watched the superman movie in 2025, and the second time was last night after watching the new Michael Jackson movie. The movie ended around 9:30 yesterday and this was one of the only South Asian food spots still open (they are open till 11pm). Despite it being like 10pm at night, there were at least 2-3 other parties eating there and multiple delivery orders still being placed. Man, I really had high hopes for this place. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, saag aloo, garlic naan, white rice, and samosas to start. I'll start with the positives -- the samosas were actually really good. Great flavor, crispy texture, and the sauces they came with were excellent. Service was also great, and our server was very friendly and attentive. Now for the disappointing part. The garlic naan was super doughy and almost cake-like, which was not enjoyable at all. The butter chicken was overwhelmingly sweet to the point where it honestly tasted more like dessert than curry. The tikka masala was better, but it seriously lacked salt and flavor depth. The saag aloo was creamy, but overall pretty bland and forgettable. The biggest disappointment was the amount of chicken in both dishes. We were left with bowls full of sauce and barely any meat. It honestly felt like we paid for soup with a few pieces of chicken thrown in. We left feeling pretty ripped off, especially for the price. The samosas were absolutely delicious, and the main dishes were so flavorful and went perfectly with the garlic naan. The only reason for my 4 stars is because we ordered a side of rice and it never came, but we weren't charged for it either so it's no big deal, just need to wait to try it till my next visit! Yoooooooooooooooo! ‍ The homie put me onto this spot and straight up told me, "They got one of the best chicken tikka masalas in Artesia." And listen... since he's Punjabi, I already knew I couldn't question it -- that's expert-level credibility right there. Safe to say, it did NOT disappoint. We went with the Punjabi-style chicken tikka masala, which the lady highly recommended, and this version comes with whole pieces of chicken, not just dry chicken breast like some places try to get away with. That alone already had me excited. We ordered it medium spice, which was perfect for me, but fair warning -- if you're not built for heat, I'd definitely suggest going mild. The flavor still hits without testing your limits. We also tried this green spinach dish with coconut milk (don't ask me to pronounce it ). It comes with what's basically a corn tortilla, plus some radish and yogurt on the side. Honestly, all we cared about was that blended spinach + coconut milk combo -- super smooth, rich, and comforting. That part alone was fire. Now let's talk about the lamb chops... because WOW. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and brought out sizzling hot on the plate. You could hear it before you even saw it. Easily one of my favorite bites of the whole meal and a must-order if you're coming here. They also brought me this green and pink drink topped with nuts -- can't remember the name -- and I'm gonna keep it real... it wasn't for me I knew I should've gone with the mango lassi. I wanted the mango lassi. My heart said mango lassi. But I trusted the waitress' recommendation... and yeah, I regret it lol. I discovered Curry Lounge a while back through a Yelp Elite event and absolutely loved it, so I have returned several times since. I usually do take out, but during my last visit I dined in. Service is always extremely friendly when taking out and I would say it's the same when dining in. Our waitress was super attentive and checked in on us often. I've ordered several things off the menu, but my absolute favorite is the butter chicken...it may be the best I've had! So if you order something, let it be that and you can thank me later :) The naan here is also great and I especially love the garlic chili naan. You can customize the spice levels for most things on the menu, which as I spicy food lover, I appreciate. With a large array of South Asian food in Artesia, I'd say that Curry Lounge stands out in terms of food quality and is definitely worth a visit! The interior is very cute and cozy. I only tried two items and I'm kind of split 50/50. The first was the sweet lassi. It was flavorful and refreshing. I really liked enjoyed it. My other order was the pani puri. It is one of my favorite Indian foods so I've ordered it in many places. This particular recipe was not very good. Sure, it was cool, it was fresh but just didn't have that wow flavor that makes me want to come back for more. I almost ordered something else but based on the pani puri, I just chose not to. Eclectic vibes! Very bright with a heavy dose of festive bling! Ordered daal, schezwan noodles and chole kulche (delhi style), chai. Chai and daal were great Chole kulche was too oily or prepped in stale oil. It just did not bode well with us, it had that lingering feeling of too much grease with it (usually get that with stale oil). It was very colorful inside, but it was a little stuffy because there were a lot of tables and people in a small space. The TVs inside had two different movies playing which was interesting. My boyfriend ordered the lamb saag. To drink I got masala chai. My drink came first and it came with some sugar. It was a super warm and comforting drink. Iv ordered here on DoorDash so I don't know what the interior looks like but here are my thoughts on the food I have tried. Sometimes when I do order DoorDash the food would leak but not all the time I order. I'm not sure if it's the dasher or how the packing is but there were incidence where I ordered the butter chicken and when it arrived, it leaked everywhere in my bag when I open it. There was a hole in the corner of my container. Again I thought it could be the food just tipping over everywhere while the dasher is driving OR Iv noticed that the food is extremely hot and maybe it melted the container a little? I wasn't too sure but it was a mess. Foodwise and taste, I actually enjoyed it. Not too spicy and chicken was very soft and tender. I ordered medium spicy and I love spicy foods and this was the perfect amount of spice. I also orders the mango lassi. I love the packaging for that it comes in a cute small bottle. The strawberry lassi tasted like the bottled ones, the Pani puri only came with the tamarind sauce not the mint coriander and not potatoes weren't seasoned well. Located on Pioneer Blvd in the heart of numerous Indian restaurants and stores, Curry Lounge has a nice ambiance with covered tables and print menu albeit there are a few errors in the menu such as one lunch special says Lamb and Goat but they meant Lamb or Goat! So much for my fantasy combo. My friend and I check out the Aloo Gobi, Fish Saag, and Lachha Paratha. I usually check out Saag Paneer but was delighted to try the fish version which is much lighter being made with Tilapia. The Aloo Gobi filled the veggie dish requirements and had a nice curry kick to it. We ordered medium heat but it was a tad too mellow so we asked for some more heat and got some green chilies and red pepper flakes. All was good. Service is good, although our check had an error which was corrected. BTW parking on Pioneer is free. The meters are not operational. Enjoy. read more

Highly recommended! We got out the car and smelled some pretty good cooking and strolled inside here. I must say this is probably some of the best Indian food I've had outside of L.A! And it even gives the other places I've been to in L.A. a serious run for their money. So much menu, so many things I wanted to try that I hope to try at some point soon. I default to some of my favorites like goat, lamb, tandoori, and even Saag, but there's way more to fall in love with. The chef does put a special touch on everything and it really touch show. He's super friendly too and will come out to share his story. I was kind of shocked when they said they've only been around recently because it feels and tastes like they've been here for the past 20 years. Just goes to show you they're doing something right. And when we were here everybody was here as far as people from all diverse backgrounds which was pretty cool. I like seeing it and it's another tale tale sign that they are doing right. Grabbed takeout from here and I was seriously impressed. Recommended by my Indian friend. Everything was packed up neatly. The menu is huge, so no matter what you're craving, you'll find something that hits. I went with the tandoori shrimp. The only part that had a little extra char was the tails which was perfect since I don't eat them anyway. Once those were off, the shrimp themselves were cooked just right: juicy, flavorful, and not overdone. We also ordered the chicken tikka masala and that one was a knockout. Rich, creamy, perfectly spiced. Haven't dined in yet, but based on the takeout alone, I'm sold. This is definitely going on my short list for catering the next time I'm hosting.
