The restaurant was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere that made for a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress, Pawan, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her excellent service made our first visit even more enjoyable. The food was incredible! I ordered the Chicken Korma, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken in every bite. The meal came with fluffy basmati rice, warm fresh naan, flavorful chickpeas, yogurt, and pickled onions that complemented everything perfectly. My takeout order included chicken tikka masala, which was so yummy (I do prefer a more tomato-y flavor base but it was still seasoned so well) ! AMRITSARI KULCHA First time trying this type of flat bread. It is a North Indian stuffed flat bread. Originated from Amritsar, Punjab. It is a favorite street food. This is usually eaten with Chole, a spicy chickpea curry. The amitsari kulcha had mostly mashed potatoes and some paneer cheese. Various herbs in it, lots of herbs in it. It took me a bit to adjust to the herbacious flavors. This was reheated in the toaster oven until slightly crispy and it was delicious! You must reheat before you eat! This went really well with the Punjabi Butter Chicken I ordered. SAMOSA Flaky dough stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas. Delicious and this was my second time ordering it! I think this will be my go to place for potato samosas! And yes, reheat in toaster oven before consumption! PUNJABI BUTTER CHICKEN A popular Indian dish originating in Punjab. Tender chicken pieces in tomato-based sauce with butter and cream. Chicken marinated in spiced yogurt mix and cooked in a tandoor and grilled. The chicken has different pieces, such as legs, thighs and breast meat. All have bones in them. But there were about 4-5 pieces of chicken. They ask for your preference of spice levels, so I got medium spice. It was spicy! Spice lingers on your tongue and in your stomach too! Made my own basmati rice at home, so did not order it, but you definitely need the basmati rice to soak up all the flavors of the butter chicken! So delicious to eat with the aromatic, sweet basmati rice! This was also delicious with flat bread, but I absolutely loved it with basmati rice. NAAN (PLAIN) Wanted naan, so I ordered it plain. This was not oily and you can taste the ghee. The naan wasn't even in thickness. Parts of the naan that were thinner were crispy and thicker were fluffy and soft. It had very little herbs, so it had a clean, ghee flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE Staff who took my order over the phone was kind, patient and spoke clearly and slowly. He made sure that my order was correct. All my orders were received and well packaged with saran wrap to ensure the food stays hot and does not spill. Before I get to the food let me say the restaurant it self is very overwhelming with things going on. They had two TVs with different shows/movies going on and additionally music going on. The space is already packed with families enjoying dinner and talking so it can be a bit much. Additionally be careful to sit under the AC it drips and might get on the food. I was weary of the place since it has B inspection grading on the window but overall the food was good. I do feel like the flavors were a little muted but so I knocked it down from great to good. We went with Curry Lounge and we both left as fans. I'm not sure if they have a dedicated parking area but the few times we've been here, we've been able to find street parking fairly easily. We were greeted and seated immediately. We got our waters and menus and decided to get Jeeera rice (we recently learned about the benefits of cumin seeds so we were all about this rice), garlic naan, butter chicken, and Rogan Josh. This place is awesome! I have some dietary restrictions, and the waitress wrote out a list for me of all the dishes that could be made without dairy. And because of their ability to modify dishes, this place works if you're vegan. We got the baingan bharta, garlic naan, chicken curry, aloo ghobi, rice, a type of savory/sweet lemonade, and my friend who is not lactose intolerant ordered the mango lassi and she said it was amazing. Everything was cooked to order and had incredible flavor. The restaurant was clean and colorful with lots of art and decor with a flatscreen TV. We made sure to ask for mild spices (heat) since traditional Indian dishes can be real spicy! I ordered Chicken Ticka Massla and a vegetable dish while my wife ordered a potato stuffed bread. And listen... since he's Punjabi, I already knew I couldn't question it -- that's expert-level credibility right there. Safe to say, it did NOT disappoint. We went with the Punjabi-style chicken tikka masala, which the lady highly recommended, and this version comes with whole pieces of chicken, not just dry chicken breast like some places try to get away with. The flavor still hits without testing your limits. We also tried this green spinach dish with coconut milk (don't ask me to pronounce it ). I discovered Curry Lounge a while back through a Yelp Elite event and absolutely loved it, so I have returned several times since. I usually do take out, but during my last visit I dined in. Service is always extremely friendly when taking out and I would say it's the same when dining in. Our waitress was super attentive and checked in on us often. I've ordered several things off the menu, but my absolute favorite is the butter chicken...it may be the best I've had! So if you order something, let it be that and you can thank me later :) The naan here is also great and I especially love the garlic chili naan. This is my second time coming here, first time was before my group watched the superman movie in 2025, and the second time was last night after watching the new Michael Jackson movie. The movie ended around 9:30 yesterday and this was one of the only South Asian food spots still open (they are open till 11pm). Despite it being like 10pm at night, there were at least 2-3 other parties eating there and multiple delivery orders still being placed. It was very colorful inside, but it was a little stuffy because there were a lot of tables and people in a small space. The TVs inside had two different movies playing which was interesting. Man, I really had high hopes for this place. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, saag aloo, garlic naan, white rice, and samosas to start. I'll start with the positives -- the samosas were actually really good. Great flavor, crispy texture, and the sauces they came with were excellent. So much for my fantasy combo. My friend and I check out the Aloo Gobi, Fish Saag, and Lachha Paratha. I usually check out Saag Paneer but was delighted to try the fish version which is much lighter being made with Tilapia. The Aloo Gobi filled the veggie dish requirements and had a nice curry kick to it. We ordered medium heat but it was a tad too mellow so we asked for some more heat and got some green chilies and red pepper flakes. All was good. Highly recommended! We got out the car and smelled some pretty good cooking and strolled inside here. I must say this is probably some of the best Indian food I've had outside of L.A! And it even gives the other places I've been to in L.A. a serious run for their money. So much menu, so many things I wanted to try that I hope to try at some point soon. I default to some of my favorites like goat, lamb, tandoori, and even Saag, but there's way more to fall in love with. The chef does put a special touch on everything and it really touch show. Iv ordered here on DoorDash so I don't know what the interior looks like but here are my thoughts on the food I have tried. Sometimes when I do order DoorDash the food would leak but not all the time I order. I'm not sure if it's the dasher or how the packing is but there were incidence where I ordered the butter chicken and when it arrived, it leaked everywhere in my bag when I open it. There was a hole in the corner of my container. The menu is huge, so no matter what you're craving, you'll find something that hits. I went with the tandoori shrimp. The only part that had a little extra char was the tails which was perfect since I don't eat them anyway. Once those were off, the shrimp themselves were cooked just right: juicy, flavorful, and not overdone. We also ordered the chicken tikka masala and that one was a knockout. Rich, creamy, perfectly spiced. Haven't dined in yet, but based on the takeout alone, I'm sold. This is definitely going on my short list for catering the next time I'm hosting. Solid spot. read more
