Man, Panini Kabob Grill just never disappoints. Every time I come here, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite Mediterranean spots. There are so many different kebabs to choose from, and I've yet to have one that wasn't delicious. My personal favorites are the steak and the chicken--both are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. It was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor while putting such a unique twist on traditional hummus. It's one of those dishes that completely changes your expectations and has you thinking about it long after you've left the restaurant. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or having dinner with friends or family. The menu is packed with so many dishes that I still want to try, which just gives me another reason to keep coming back. I came here for a birthday dinner for my mom. It was one of the places she loves to go to, so I decided to surprise her. our hostess spoke very softly. It was very difficult to hear. She asked us to wait while she cleaned up a table on the outside , surprising to me because there was nobody outside nonetheless we waited. Our server was a man whose service was subpar to say the least he rarely checked up on us, and when it was time for us to receive our food, one of the guests in my party did not receive their food at the same time as the others, it seemed as though they might have forgotten to make that guest's dinner so he had to wait an extra 15 minutes the waiter and another waiter would come to the table and ask him what did you order again? What was it again? Which demonstrated unorganized employees, considering they took our order they should just reference that instead of coming back-and-forth multiple times and making the guest wait longer each time. I ordered a chicken Parm Panini with chicken soup. The chicken Parm sandwich was average however, I was disappointed with the size of the chicken. I lifted the bread and there was a measly morsel of chicken, considering the price of a Panini; I was expecting a bit more! The chicken soup was horrible. It tasted like water with hardly any broth. They threw in random vegetables with dry shredded pieces of chicken, my other guests who had chicken soup also disliked the quality and taste of the soup. Poor selection of drinks. Overall, poor service, bland food. When it was time to pay our waiter didn't show up so I walked to the front and asked for the bill then paid there. For almost 200$ this was a disaster; I will look into other Mediterranean restaurants. read more

Touting fresh ingredients and a scratch kitchen, Panini Kabob Grill has established itself as a spot to get some healthy Mediterranean-inspired food. But like for real, it's super basic and way overpriced. I don't know how I hyped this place up in my mind, but man I was so disappointed. The food quality was not the worst, and maybe we went on an off night, but the food came out cold and disappointing and the servers seemed tapped out. I tried: Strawberry Date Salad: The salad was soggy and covered in so much sweet dressing the poor spring mix didn't even stand a chance. Koobideh Wrap: quite possibly one of the driest, saddest wraps I've had the misfortune of eating. Meat tasted fine but the texture was off (and there was like zero char, it's like they steamed the kebab but then forgot to grill it). Like for real, the bag of beef kebab from the frozen section of Trader Joe's would win against this one in a fight. Big sad. My depressed little wrap of dryness desperately needed sauce, which they forgot to plate....and it took over 15 minutes for my introverted family to even make eye contact with ANY of the servers in the entire restaurant. Like they were all literally walking around looking at their shoes or something. And given that there seemed to be a lot of them working across the restaurant, I have no idea how they didn't crash into each other. The only good thing we ate was the hummus. Hummus is the hero of this review. If you're gonna brave this place, make sure to get the hummus. You're probably gonna need it. read more

This place has been around for while in Cerritos but I don't know why this is the first time I'm trying it. It is located right across Cerritos mall near Target. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Seating is nice and clean. We started off with the humas trio which was quite good but not the best I've tasted. I do have to say the rest of the food we had was really good with fairly large portions. I feel this is probably the best Mediterranean food place in Cerritos as we have several others. I waited quite a long time to have my order taken, no refills on my water, and I had to chase down my waiter for my bill. And it wasn't just me. A single woman came in about 20 minutes after me, sat directly across from me... she even mentioned that she was ready to order when she sat down. but waiter walked away and she waited... and waited... and she finally got up and left. Male Waiter and the rest of the staff didn't seem to care about their customers last night. We got Zero refills and they hardly came to check in with us to see how we were doing. Our rice had no saffron but when we asked for some they said they would charge us for a full plate just to get saffron. This was our first visit to the Cerritos location, and certainly won't be the last. We frequent the Long Beach location, and opted for Cerritos today, as it was more convenient. Parking can suck. Between the amount of people that visit the plaza for the various restaurants, mall traffic, and very narrow, horribly painted parking lines, it can be nightmare getting in and out of the lot. The one major difference between this location and the Long Beach location has to be the service. We were seated right away with no wait, whereas we would usually have to wait a bit to be seated at the Long Beach restaurant, even when it's almost empty. The servers were very attentive, and checked up on us quite often. There was no bickering or attitude just because you flagged down someone who covers another section. The food was just about as good as the other location, although both locations tend to char/burn their peppers and onions a bit. read more

I've been a fan of Panini Kabob Grill when I first started going to the DTLA one.....and even better they have a huge outdoor area which is Dog Friendly....so of course we bring our dogs there..... Dogs + Food + Vegan Options = WINNER! Worked out perfectly for friends and myself I typically get the Falafel Platter or Wrap..... I always recommend the tiramisu for people to try since I think it is still made in house..... Definitely will be back again with or without the pooches.... read more

I love our Panini Grills in San Diego and was thrilled to see there's a location in Cerritos as well! It's located in the shopping complex across the street from the Cerritos mall. Although there is a large parking lot, there are so many restaurants densely packed together that during the dinner rush, it was hard to get in and out of the complex. We were passing by on the way home and decided to stop by for dinner. I love how their restaurants are always big with plenty of tables and chairs so there's no wait. This location has a very big outdoor patio which was all covered in addition to their indoor dining area. We always get the family combo which includes a large plate of rice and your choice of 2 kebabs and 2 salads. There was enough food for 4-5 people and a great price for what you get. We also love the hummus trio which is a must try appetizer. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and professional. My only issue is why do the kebabs always have to be so charred lol....i get the food has to cook all the way but the amount of burnt food we consume isn't healthy either. Located across from the Cerritos mall. It is in a shopping center with plenty of parking but it can get crowded. We went in on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and we were seated right away. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The server was great, checked in on us multiple times. I got the chicken pesto panini with a Cesar salad. The chicken was so juicy. Full of flavor. My boyfriend got the chicken parm which I liked a little more tbh! You can't go wrong with either one though. We also got a side of humus and pita bread which was absolutely delicious. I've always loved the food and service at Panini Kabob Grill (been to DTLA, Rancho, and Cerritos locations - all solid!) A few days ago, I catered for the first time and ordered a Koobideh Kabob Tray, two Chicken Kabob Trays, a Vegetable Tray, a Hummus Trio Tray, and a Falafel Party Tray for my work's holiday luncheon. 6 trays plus basmati rice and salads that are included with the catering trays were plenty to feed about 40 attendees. The quality, flavor, and amount all exceeded my expectations. Service was friendly and prompt; by the time I arrived at my pick-up time, all of the trays and bags were ready to go, and an employee helped carry all of the food to my car. Everyone, and I mean seriously even the pickiest eaters (we all know one of those - especially at work), commented about how excellent the food was! Wow! A big wow for me to actually have Mediterranean food twice within a week and back to back days. After having The Kebab Shop yesterday, I remembered my first visit to Panini kebab grill and I wanted to experience it again. This time I came for lunch and instead of doing the traditional kabobs, I went with Pasta and the steak panini sandwich. The Rigatoni bolognese was surprisingly good. I had to check that I was at a Mediterranean restaurant and not Italian. The steak panini was really good too. Very flavorful stack of flat iron steak and cheese. Again, it doesn't seem traditional to have a panini at a Mediterranean restaurant, but panini is in the name of their restaurant so it must be a Mediterranean sandwich. I LOVE Mediterranean food, or the ones served at Panini Grill at least. The food here is really good and portions are big (as seen in pictures). The place itself is nice, they have seating indoors and outdoors but it feels like it's still indoors in a way the building is set up. I always order it to-go so I can eat it at home, but last night I decided to dine-in for the first time. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I'll be doing so again at this location. The service started strong and then became poor as soon as we were seated and received our waters. It's not how long the food took, it's the lack of attention. Slow night, I can say this accurately because there was staff either wiping empty tables, talking to parties that personally knew them, waiting around the counter. Never received the refill I requested on the water, tried to order some more items but never got serviced so we left it be. We were asked if we were finished and we asked for some to go boxes and the check, 15 minutes go by and nothing. Saw the staff member who asked us having a conversation with another employee until we made eye contact and then did they realize we were still waiting. Proceeded to give it to the wrong table before coming to us. Even noticed the solo party took a good amount of time before even being helped out, at-least he already knew what he wanted so he only had to deal with the service once. The spinach wrap was actually really good, and that's saying a lot because I hate spinach. Yet here I am finishing a chicken-filled spinach wrap plate with no complaints. The salad was also well seasoned, someone definitely has a good touch with seasoning back there. What I don't understand is why this place is so empty. The food is solid, the ambience is pleasant, and everything, from the tables to the surrounding area, is clean and well kept. The acidity of the salad perfectly balances the flavor of the beef. It also comes with a grilled tomato, green bell pepper, and onions. Terrible service from the white lady with glasses. My husband accompanied me to the restroom since my arm is partially disabled and i need help. She was banging on the door, my husband said it's busy and she proceeded to bang on the door. When we opened the door she said oh it's because someone needed to use the restroom..... um ok??? even if they did, the proper thing to do is to stop banging on the door after the first time but even then the tab by the knob said IN USE. It was harassment and she didn't even apologize afterwards. We told our family and we all agreed we would not be returning after today. Food was ok don't recommend. I'm leaving this review because our server David did not leave a great impression. First off, I've been to plenty of other Panini grills before and was able to order an extra side of a chicken skewer for about $5-$6. I wanted to order the salmon plate and I asked for a chicken skewer on the side, but he told me that an extra skewer was going to be $18. He did not give any explanation on why it was $18 he just left it at that and when I asked why it was the same cost as buying the full entrée plate he rudely responded with it's $18. So I just ordered the beef and chicken plate instead. When our food arrived, all the vegetables were burnt luckily the chicken and beef were cooked fine but the vegetables were way over cooked. Throughout the rest of our meal not once to David come by to check up on us. I would recommend avoiding this Panini grill and going to a different one. read more

I'm not sure where to start. Be careful with your salad greens - we found a bug in one. Really gross. When we mentioned it to the management, they were dismissive. The quality of the food has gone downhill tremendously, which is likely why it used to have better reviews. The ground beef kabobs are now very dry and tough. The chicken dishes were burned, to the point that several pieces were inedible. Long wait for the food and overall not an enjoyable experience at all. A real shame. read more

My family and I come here regularly because of the great food AND particularly, the service. Our server on Saturday (7/19) was Jackie and she was awesome. Not just this time but every time. We were here a few days ago as well and she was numerous, down to earth, approachable and funny. On prior occasions we've been served by David, and he's just as awesome. He's attentive, professional and always made sure we were taken care of. He was observed guiding other servers and hosts as well and delegated very professionally and courteously. Today, 7/22, Chris served my family and I and once again, great service. Professional, courteous and great at his job. I would personally like to commend the staff here all around. The gentlemen at the counter (male wearing a black polo) was also very kind courteous and professional. Our food was amazing, and although I didn't see the cooking process, they deserve a big shout out and commendation. Mr Panini Kabob Grill himself should take notice and commend the staff here and hire more folks like this. We will continue to come back because of these types of people working here. At first, I thought the the sandwich was quite small, but was pleasantly surprised at how delicious and filling it was. The Mediterranean salad I got on the side was also great! Our server was great--she took our order right away and recommended the best deals and the right amount of food for our group. 9/21/24 It's both my parents' 55th wedding anniversary & my sister's birthday celebration, she made the reservation. This place used to be a Filipino restaurant & it has gone through a major make over, it looks great! We were seated promptly once the majority have arrived & were greeted by staff, water served. Celine was our server, she was friendly & attentive of our needs to ensure our dining experience was pleasant & enjoyable. Without prompting, she offered to place our cake on the fridge until its desert time. Ordering was easy as she went around our table to get things started. I ordered a kaboodeh combo consisting of salad, basmati rice , tzatziki and grilled veggies(bell peppers, onions & tomatoes. Hubby ordered a shrimp kabob combo. My sisters ordered the flat iron steak kabob & also kaboodeh combo. My brother shared his steak kabob combo with his wife, my nephews ordered pasta & a chicken panini--but they brought a salmon panini by mistake (which he ate anyway, his chicken didn't show up). My mom requested to dine here because she said her food was really good & tender last time she dined with her friends. Not this time..She said the meat was too tough to chew, I tried it and she was absolutely right. My parents were sharing the combo & didn't like it (i wouldn't have either) my dad ordered a salmon panini. I must say, the pasta was really good & flavorful. My dish was alright, the kaboodeh was not nearly as tasty (seasoning) as I'd like. The basmati was pretty good & the salad was fresh with a good portion of avocado. The portions are fairly huge. When you've had the quality from Open Sesame, everything seems to pale in comparison, The service from Celine was very much appreciated. She took out the cake & even brought some plates for us to serve with, it was very kind & thoughtful of her. Overall our experience was very good.
