I have been a loyal customer of Dimassi's since first visiting their Rice Village location (not sure if there still is one there) in 2008 and then their Woodlands location soon after. Although inflation has hit hard (prices are $21 as of Jan 2023 for lunch/dinner on weekends now, no more shredded beef, only one lamb shank per adult on weekends), this place is still ONE of a KIND considering the FRESHNESS and VARIETY of food. I don't think there is any place where you can eat 3 kinds of hummus, baba ghanoush, like 5 different kinds of salad, kofta kebab (which had improved significantly in terms of juiciness), lentil rice, pomegranate (?) eggplant, mustard chicken, fried fish, gyro meat, along with all you can drink soda, and 4 kinds of dessert (baklava, jam cake, semolina cake, and rice pudding) with coffee (you can tell these are my favorites :-P)! Arguably there are more tastier options like Fadi's, but nobody can beat Dimassi's variety! PS For a more affordable option, they have buffet takeout $7.99 / lb as of Jan 2023! read more

I've never had or even seen a Mediterranean buffet restaurant before this place so we had to give it a shot. Overall I would say we were very happy with the amount of food you have to choose from. They did a good job at keeping the food fresh and replacing any of the items that were running low. Our only complain was that the place could be a little cleaner, and when you finish a plate there was nobody that came around to pick them up while we were there so the empty plates just sat at our table until we left. Came for Father's Day with husband and son's family. I have been to other buffets and this location seemed okay, lots of choices. My favorite was the warm pita bread, variety of hummus & salads. My fav main meal is the tender chicken with saffron rice. The medium spice level was great and very tasty. Everyone in my party enjoyed the food. We have been to a few of the locations in and around Houston and this one in Humble has the best food by far. They have a huge selection of salads, meat, chicken and fish dishes. After 5pm you can order a lamb shank. I love the rice and vermicelli with chicken. I cannot get enough of the fattoush, it is so fresh and flavorful. And I cannot eat here without having the gyro lamb even though these days I avoid making the full gyro. I also keep forgetting to take pictures because as soon as I walk in all I want is to hit the food bar. They prefer that you wear a mask coming in, they provide gloves for the self service of the buffet bar and ask that you get a fresh glove and plate each time you go up. Enjoy! read more

Usually we have such a wonderful experience at Dimassis we have come lots of times for family lunches/dinners and birthday celebrations. However today we had a bad experience with the "manager" an older "gentleman" who from the get go did not seem to fond of our large family, its 12 of us, being there by constantly looking over at our table and "walking" by. And so I feel the need to share for other people with a large group are aware. We were there a little over 2 hours, granted maybe that is a little long but when you are having good conversation and enjoying the company time seems to get away. Now we were not constantly going up to get food most of us just settled on one plate. However upon leaving and making our way to pay we were told that we would be charged a $25 fee for staying over 2 hours, granted there is no signage or anything with this type of information posted, when i told the cashier where is this posted she said the manager said so, the manager who never was professional enough to come and voice his concerns to our party. I dont feel it is fair to randomly make up a fee on the fly just because you personally felt my family stayed too long. And i say this because there were other large parties there with just as many, if not more people yet they were not treated as such. We have been to other dimassi locations just as much as this one and have never had any problems, sadly as much as we love there food, we were left with a bad feeling for the treatment we received today. read more

Okay so make sure you read the sign in the foyer if you have never been before! lol This place is great but it's all self serve. So go ahead and seat yourself, grab a plate and fill your own drink. The salad bar is bomb! And they have baskets for pitas and pita chips. Lots of options salad and main bar wise. I was surprised that some of the main dishes were a little bland but you mix with some of the sauces and it's perfect! The dessert bar was simple and delightful. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants for a buffet. Took my brother and niece there for dinner at 6:00 p.m., there was hardly anyone in the place and that should have been a clue. My wife's favorite is the garlic sauce for the pita bread, well what they had was awful. Pita bread was cold. A lot of the food was cold. All four of us were very disappointed. It was cool and refreshing not too sweet or overwhelming. The bread and potatoes are also very delicious as is the meat, which some confused it for falafel. You can smell from the outside and tastes as good as it smells. Parking is ok but there's more parking further away since there's a shopping plaza. My husband and I ate here last night and were beyond impressed. The pita is made fresh in-house (as is everything). The buffet items are constantly hot, and there is food for EVERYONE. A few hummus varieties, rice options, soups, chicken dishes, spiced potatoes, fruits, and vegetables are also available. My husband could eat his weight in the lamb - he said it was incredibly tender. To top it off, the baklava was perfect. (I was waiting all day for the baklava.) For those with kids, they have pizzas, plain chicken options, and an ice cream machine. I also appreciated their wasteful food notice - $7.99 will be added to your bill for excessive food that's thrown out. More restaurants need to go that direction. We will be back! read more
