We had an amazing experience at Dina's Bistro when we held our dads 80th birthday party there last weekend. Dina and Richie were so helpful while I was choosing the menu, guiding me with options they found to work best with a party of our size. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation was beautiful! We chose to have family style, with each table getting their own share of all the food chosen, and our guests were were thrilled. Went to check out hearing mixed reviews from neighbors. Not impressed.. they were out of menu items @ 6 pm on a Saturday night! Short ribs salty tasting, our friends also felt it was just ok.. but not worth the price. Service was good, tables spaced enough so we didn't have to listen to other patrons. read more

What a treasure to find. Thanksgiving and my birthday were on the same day this year and I wanted to find a great place to celebrate both. We luckily stumbled upon Dina's Bistro which served us nothing less than perfection in every way! The food, service and staff felt like celebrating with family with a culinary masterpiece in every bite. We can't recommend our new favorite place enough. We got the 42oz. tomahawk for two, which came with an appetizer (we got bang bang shrimp), salad, and dessert. We ordered the banana cake but owner Richie surprised us with a pistachio cake also. We had our wedding dinner at Dina's on May 19. It was absolutely wonderful! They are so accommodating from start to finish. We had the whole room to ourselves, and they set it up so nice. They had a head table for my husband and myself, and they made it look beautiful. The food was great-everyone commented how good it was and how much of it there was. It was an honest review. Which is what this site is all about. If I was rude, I would have commented on what the host and hostess were wearing or would have mentioned that cheesy flashing wreath in the back, or that the drop ceiling was dirty with cobwebs. If I was rude we would have hated everything. I loved my shrimp dish. I wish I didn't have to throw the rest of it out. BTW It wasn't the first time we've had chicken Murphy. We've enjoyed the dish since childhood, so spare us the "this is the way it's made" crap. Over the years, we've had good chicken murphy and we've had bad chicken murphy. This had too much vinegar for our taste. Maybe you were trying to copy the Belmont tavern? A weak attempt at Shrimp beeps. And we most certainly didn't get the correct dinner returned to us. My wife only had two bites of the chicken because it was so vinegary. I had a bite to confirm what she tasted, and we were taking it home to adjust the taste. When we got home and opened the container, there was very little chicken left and there were more potatoes. It WAS NOT her dinner! You know what would prevent this? LETTING DINERS BOX THEIR OWN LEFTOVERS! Update Well, well, well, somebody from the restaurant named Richard recently messaged me through yelp. His English was a little broken, but he admitted our chicken murphy was actually dropped on the kitchen floor and Gigi had a new one prepared. So, we were right, and you lied. It wasn't my wife's chicken murphy after all. Why would you lie responding to my review? You should have been honest with us at the restaurant. As a business owner myself, I welcome constructive criticism and make positive changes from it. One other thing, if you're going to lie, you might want to get your stories straight. read more

Dina's had a family vibe and you can tell who frequents the place often. It's nice and they go out of their way to accommodate.

We had a baby shower at Dina's in December 2023. We could not believe the abundance of delicious food served. Everything is made by Dina, the co-owner. Her husband Rich, and their son, made sure that everything went smoothly and that individual needs of our guests were met. Service was also amazing. We have eaten here before, always delicious, but not every restaurant can pull off catering. Dina's did a wonderful job. read more

First time trying Dina's thanks Dina. My blackened tuna was perfect and the mashed potatoes with wasabi was a delicious surprise. My wife joyed her stuffed flounder immensely. We hosted a last minute wedding rehearsal dinner at Dina's Bistro. I searched for restaurants in Toms River with prefixed menus and this restaurant came up in the search. An added bonus is that it is BYOB. I called and Richie provided amazing customer service. He was very accommodating for such a large party and put together a family style 3 course dinner for a very reasonable price. Our experience was way beyond expectation. Every dish was amazing, well prepared and there was plenty to eat! The service was extraordinary. Richie and his team took very good care of us from beginning to end. We just left Dina's Bistro after a wonderful dinner. We had never been before and were pleasantly surprised. Though the place was packed and someone in the parking lot cautioned us to be patient, overall the service was fine but more importantly the food was delicious. Richie, the owner's father, spent some time acquainting us with the restaurant's history And making us feel at home. The pork chops were perfectly cooked, the short ribs tender and flavorful and the halibut was moist and served with broccoli rabe and smashed potatoes. Delicious all around. Went here for the first time tonight. The food was delicious; had the prime rib dinner which came with soup or salad, stuffed potato and broccoli along with dessert. I had the strawberry cake. Did a random search for a restaurant. Little strip mall on 37 right over the bridge from seaside. My lord. This place is great. Food is awesome. They gave us probably two times the amount they should have on every course. Waitress super nice. Owners roaming around having great authentic conversations. Liquor store right next door.
