Came here for a birthday dinner and unfortunately left very disappointed. Bullet points: - BYOB - fees - not quiet! - food is oily and mediocre - service rushes It is BYOB, but we weren't given an ice bucket to keep our white wine cold. Not that we needed it (explained later.) There is a 3.29% service fee on the receipt. They will charge it for debit cards, too, which I was under the impression that's illegal. There is nothing in there to absorb all the noise, so if you have sensory issues this is not the place. Both of us are constantly at concerts and this was overwhelming. We couldn't talk to each other comfortably. The bolognese ($24) looked more of a vodka sauce than tomato and had way too much oil in it. His gnocchi ($24) was a good sauce, but the gnocchi itself tasted like it came from a box. The real star was the bread and dip they brought out. Had a bunch of garlic and crushed red pepper in it. I ate more of that than my pasta. From the moment we sat down we were rushed. The server was kind, but we barely had time to look over the menu. Once the check was brought she hovered. My bf barely got his signature finished before she collected the receipt and tried to take all the glasses off the table (she did put the water back down.) It was very crowded so I'm sure they want to turn tables, but back off. We felt unwelcome, and it certainly wasn't a dinner we needed to rush through. Safe to say we won't be back. read more

Patricia's Downtown in Toms River absolutely deserves a 10 out of 10 across the board--food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. We started with the spicy shrimp appetizer, which was packed with flavor and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For our entrees, we had the chicken parm--crispy, tender, and generously portioned--and the lobster pasta, which was rich, creamy, and loaded with lobster. Every bite was incredible. The service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. The atmosphere is cozy yet upscale, making it a great spot for a special night out or a relaxing dinner with friends. I ordered the fried calamari steak, vegetables, broccoli and potatoes as well as gnocchi in the pesto sauce steak was cooked to perfection. Never had a better meal Beautiful place totally redesigned. We were a party of 4 we had a reservation and were seated immediately. We had the meatball appetizer with a tomato gravy that is outstanding, chunks of tomato and soft and tasty meatballs. Our entrees , Chicken Milanese, Chilean Sea Bass, Seafood combo with lobster and pasta, and a double stuffed pork chop. All meals were tender and delicious with generous portions, enough for take home. The service was provided by Denise who was friendly, informative and very efficient. Jack the manager checked in several times during our meal to make sure we were happy and enjoying our meals. The decor is typical of Italian restaurants with street scenes and tables with fresh flowers, a nice touch. It is not a large dining area but plenty of room at our table of four. The restaurant was filled by 7:15 with several people waiting. Glad we had a reservation. If you are looking for a good Italian meal this is a great choice. read more

Can't say enough good things, the atmosphere, the food, the staff... my Dad has lived a long time, said one of his best dinners he ever had - he had the braised short ribs! It's just a small step from being 5 star. We were greeted and seated immediately for our reservation. Our wine was opened as soon as we sat. Our server let us know that one of the specials was not available as soon as she handed us the menu. The grilled octopus was so tender. Only complaint is that it's pricey for the size of the serving. The stuffed artichoke hearts were delicious. One diner ordered the money bags and requested shrimp to go with it. It was a generous portion. The shrimp scampi was delicious. The salmon is one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had. Service was excellent without being hovering. The place is very pretty but once it gets filled up it gets loud. I took my family to Patricia's Downtown in Beechwood, N.J. on 12/28/25 to celebrate my wife's birthday. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The food and the service was excellent and there was a friendly, pleasant, and comfortable atmosphere. All in our party said that their food was delicious. I can't remember a restaurant that I have been to that actually served wild caught Alaska Salmon as opposed to farm raised; but they did. It was a very enjoyable time. On the menu it states tender pieces of chicken, it was a chicken leg with pieces of chicken with bones in it , not tender at all. No flavor and watered down sauce. My husband and I went for an early dinner at 4 PM on New Year's Eve 12/31/24. I called the restaurant directly, spoke to Jeff the manager. He was very accommodating. Our server, Anna Maria, polite and attentive. The bread was delicious and fresh with olive oil. Delicious and authentic, I had great service and the manager/owner came by to make sure everything was good. BYOB - they will open and pour your wine for you. I used to love picking up their strip steak for my boyfriend and I but the last time we got it was sadly the last time. Both were extremely overcooked when I ordered them medium and they had no flavor whatsoever so I think they must have changed their supplier. When I called, the manager was so kind and apologetic and graciously offered to make two new ones but the new ones were so raw they were purple and equally had no flavor. We've been to their Toms River location and sadly weren't impressed by any of their Italian food either. We have so many delicious Italian restaurants in this area but not a lot of places had a strip as delicious as theirs used to be. We are bummed for sure. read more

We were anxious to try the new Patricia's Downtown location in Beachwood after enjoying our first visit to the Toms River location. Food was excellent in both locations. Wait staff here seemed a bit overwhelmed with a full house. Felt like 10 pounds of people were trying to fit in a 5 pound bag. Too many tables for such a small space. Appetizers came promptly. Had to ask for bread for the table. Entrees came A LOT later. We give 4 stars for now but will return, but not on a weekend night until Patricia's Downtown gets over their growing pains. LOL read more
