Of course I had to try out this new place. & I get it, it's new, flaws are still being worked out. Service was terrible though. What really really got me? One of their friends or another coworker placed an order after mine was placed. They went ahead and made their drink first. Skipped every online, call ahead, in person order and made hers. After I had already been waiting like 10-15 mins. Let me just say, when quickly first opened even they weren't slow like this. I probably waited 20 mins for three regular sized drinks. The three drinks were a signature milk tea, Thai milk tea, and Hokkaido milk tea? The signature milk tea has potential to be really good, it was the best out of the three. I dunno. Thai tea should just be made the simple basic original way not mixed with milk tea. It's honestly weird. That Hokkaido? Definitely not my cup of tea one bit. Also, a whole bunch of ice, wayyy too much boba, not enough drink. Truthfully, I don't see myself giving this place a second chance. I'll go ahead and stick to quickly. read more

Came here today after being told by a friend earlier in the week that a Ding Tea was opening. Finally decided during this pandemic that I wanted to go outside and decided to go and test the place out. Being from California, I've had the opportunity to taste numerous different tea/boba shops. I have tasted Ding tea in California many times and the go to was the Monster although there are times that the drink would be extremely sweet. Now on to further review of the new boba shop in Utah. The service was just horrendous to the point where I was going to just not even order anything. My friend had just ordered her drink and I was set on getting the Monster only to find out that the regular boba was out and I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes for the new batch. So I decided to order the signature milk tea. Before even continuing my order the cashier automatically put a Large cup charge and even a crystal boba without me saying a thing. How can you decide on my drink without me ordering it? On to the debacle of the boba... after hearing the regular boba was out they didn't offer me a replacement so I decided to not get any toppings. However, I overheard the employees offering others crystal boba free of charge where was the offer when I was ordering it literally happened while I was placing my order. While placing my order my friend noticed that the employee was diluting the drink with water. I only caught the last glimpse where he was pouring the water into the shaker. So I advised against ordering a less sweetened or even less ice drink for the fear that they would dilute the drink. On to the drink itself... the drink was nothing spectacular to say the least. All I could taste was the extremely sweet drink while it's my fault for not asking for a less sweeten drink I would rather it be more sweeten then have my drink diluted with water. This experience was not what I have come to expect from a Ding tea shop as I frequent Ding Tea back home in California whenever I travel back. Overall the experience from the new boba shop would likely deter me from coming back. I don't understand how one can run out of boba at 3ish in the afternoon while still taking orders phone orders for it. Then when the customers arrive to pick up the drink tell them that boba has run out. I'm sure another trip will be a different experience but for a boba shop to run so behind on orders that it takes them 20 minutes I find it mediocre at best. In any case, try the place out for yourself and decide but for this reviewer this will be my last trip to this particular tea shop. read more

Got a flavored tea, 70% sweet. Didn't get a cool cup with their usual Shake for Life logo on it. Guess they ran out. And got a straw that doesn't even work. Maybe they ran out of those too. Drink tastes like it's 95% artificial flavoring / syrup and 5% tea. Pretty disappointed for the Ding Tea name. Employees were nice though, seems like it could've been a cute spot pre pandemic; they had board games available for use. Just don't order their tea and expect to taste tea. read more

They currently only allow 4 people in at a time, so I decided to call in my order and it was ready in about 15 minutes. They don't have slushes so I ordered a hazelnut milk tea and aloe vera kiwi fruit juice. When I went inside to pick up, it was kinda all over the place but they're new, and they were bombarded with orders left and right so I'm not holding it against them. The hazelnut tasted like you were eating a ferrero rocher and it was really strong in flavor. Not bad! The fruit juice was pretty good! Ding tea has the yummiest and chewiest boba ever! I love the tea flavor infused in the boba and it's always fresh. Some boba shops will run out of boba before they close but I've never had a problem with them before. The owner is very friendly and give you recommendations if you ask. I'm so excited to have a good boba place in this neighborhood! We've been twice so far and loved it. Their selection is great, I love that they have fruit milk teas! On our first visit I had peach milk tea with boba and star fruit jelly, my husband had a honey milk tea, both were delicious. On our second visit I had a blueberry milk tea with boba and rainbow jelly and my husband had a strawberry black tea, these were great too! While we did wait a long time on our first visit this is a new business so we had to give them a break. The second time we didn't wait as long. I am all for a good refreshing drink and I think I found my new go-to place for boba. The employees there were friendly and patient when it came to me ordering, they were out of some "extras" so I got substitutions without any additional costs! I ordered a Taro Milk Tea w/ golden boba which was very refreshing as well as a Lychee Aloe Drink w/ Crystal Boba. The lychee drink was very sweet but very yummy! Can't wait to come back read more

SERVICE: To put it simply, it's bad. Granted it's a new place, it fine to be slow at using the system. However, this is what didn't sit right with me: 1) They punch in the order for a large size (+0.55 cents) right after they ask, "What size?" BEFORE you even get to respond. 2) They ask, "What topping?" and punch in crystal boba (+0.75 cents). When you ask for regular boba (+0.55 cents), they said they ran out and the wait is 20 minutes. But instead of offering all the other toppings at an equivalent price of regular boba, they bump it up to crystal boba. Same when my friend ordered and they punched in crystal boba when my friend didn't even want boba. 3) They limit 4 people in the store at the same time, but when you actually go in there, they are telling you to wait as they work on all the online orders. There's about 15 cups backed up on the counter. The speed and the amount of orders they have going on clear isn't working out. 4) After you place your order and is charged for the order, they ask, "it's gonna be 15-20 minutes, okay?" I mean...you already charged me at this point. ‍ 5) Saw them top someone's order before mine with water after adding ice. Not with tea, not with more ice, it was WATER. DRINK: Tastes okay. I ordered the Hokkaido Oolong MT (less sweet). Don't taste any oolong bc it's masked by the sweetness. I know this is subjective to everyone, so it might be fine for someone who likes their drinks super sweet. TIPS: Don't be a pushover when ordering. They will hustle you. TLDR: Iffy Service, Okay Drink, don't get hustled. Try it out and decide for yourself, but there are other places that can offer a better experience and drinks. My first impressions and experience here was great. I called them with my order and they said it would be ready in about 10 min. Took me about 20 min to get there and surely enough, my drinks were all ready to go in a bag sitting on the counter. I was in and out of there in less than 5 min. For myself, I got the winter melon green tea with boba and grass jelly. When I first took a sip I did feel like it was pretty sweet and it would have been perfect if it had just a touch less sweetener. When ordering they didn't mention options about how sweet we wanted our drinks, so it would be good to maybe ask when ordering. Other than that, the drink was delicious. I hate when the tapioca balls are over cooked, but these were perfect and chewy. I love the gold tapioca pearls, compared to the usual black ones that everywhere else uses. The girl that was taking my order was so rude and tried to rush me. There was no one in line behind me but she was so impatient. She kept repeating herself asking what toppings. It was obvious I was looking at the many choices on their menu but she kept asking in an irritating voice while glaring at me! This place is truly my favorite boba shop by far. Ever since it opened I haven't gone to any other shop in the area. I'm here almost everyday and the staff are nice and friendly and always attentive. I reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for fresh made drinks. Each is made fresh when you order it and not premade and scooped into a cup. They let me adjust the sugar and ice level on any drink which I like because sometimes I prefer less sweetness. My favorite drink is the jasmine milk tea which is the perfect amount of sweetness. I love this bubble tea spot! It is hands down the best in the area. Their staff are great and the boba is always perfectly chewy. When ordering, you also have the option to adjust the sweetness level and ice level. My favorite go-to is the oolong milk tea with boba/grass jelly and red bean.
