I've gotten boba from this location many times, but this is the first time I've gotten their food. They just recently added food to their menu and I'm so glad they did! My sister and I went on a Wednesday night and we each ordered their beef bowl combo. The beef bowl came with white rice, sautéed onions, cucumbers, and a fried egg. It also comes with any milk tea or fruit tea drink. All for a very reasonable price. Let me tell you, this meal hit the spot especially after a workout. The egg was nicely fried and the yolk perfectly runny. The beef was really tasty but it did have some gristle. I got the brown sugar milk tea with boba and my sister got the aloe Vera drink that comes with aloe Vera jelly. It was super refreshing! I usually have Hokkaido Milk Tea with Sea Foam and original Boba. It's one of my favorites they make here and I usually don't stray from it. I'm trying to "stimulate yo mind Craig" (iykyk), by stepping out of my go-to & trying new flavors. I tried their Dalgona Coffee milk tea yesterday. It tasted a bit off to me, but after thinking about it. I may have messed with the flavors by adding boba to the drink. I'll have to try the Dalgona again without the boba next time. This location has definitely gotten busier since they first opened their doors. They have also added several more new items to an already expansive menu. There is a new KPot that looks to be attached to this Ding Tea location. Not sure how that works because there only seemed to be two tables set up. My only complaint, and the reason for reduced stars is that sometimes the staff is playing loud ghetto music with a lot of cuss words. Ding ding ding! This is the spot to be! When I heard that Ding Tea was coming to Utah, I was very excited. When I found out it was going to be in Taylorsville, I wasn't too excited. Then I found out that it is super close to me cause it's by the shopping areas in Taylorsville...well super happy. What a rollercoaster of emotions! My first time here, I got their signature milk tea with boba. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, since I wasn't sure if they would be the same as their other branches in California. It was pretty much the same. The boba was cooked perfectly with great sweetness. My Milk tea was to the sweetness ratio. The only thing that was a bit off was the amount of ice they gave me. I asked for light ice, but they still gave a lot of ice. The second time, I decided to branch out a bit. I got one of their suggested drinks on the poster. I did substitute it with oolong milk tea instead but got the caramelized top. It was really good. The burnt sugar taste made it super yummy and added a new flavor to my milk tea. When we were in San Fransisco, we went out of our way to make sure we could snag a winter melon tea before going home. And now we just discovered that we have our very own Ding Tea here in Utah! We stopped by today and it was just as delicious as the first time. We got the winter melon tea without boba. It was a perfect tea to sugar ratio and so flavorful. We loved it. I did not like that everything was iced only because I love blended and sometimes I feel like places dump tons of ice in your drink! I got the Taro milk tea. It was good not too sweet. The boba was okay. It was soft and chewy did not get hard. But it was sort of bland. I usually like my boba a little sweeter taste but that's just me. So if you don't like too much sweet this is your place! I tried the Thai tea as well. I felt like it was a little bit more tea flavor and not as milky. It was good over all. I went in and the gal at the counter was very helpful in helping me choose the drinks I would and should try. My second choice was to try the monster bobo latte, so this drink reminds me of just milk with sugar and the boba. I'm not a fan of the type of boba I got in the drink until I was told after that there are different flavored bobas that I could have asked for .... huh? I never knew. Another quality bubble tea franchise from Taiwan that has opened in Salt Lake area. I was at the other Ding Tea location (West Valley) last week and decided to give this location a try. This location although further away from where I live, have won my heart. It has more variety, and the staffs are nice and friendly, they were also wearing their masks the ENTIRE time I was there which makes me feel less anxious. I ordered Jasmine green tea with boba. And the boba is the best that I have tasted here in Salt Lake. They have the perfect texture of chewiness without being too soft, and they are sweet compared to some of the tasteless bobas I have had. This is similar to Kung Fu tea place where you get to adjust your sugar level, ice level. In my opinion, I would definitely rank my best boba tea places as 1) Ding Tea 2) Kung Fu tea 3) Quickly. read more

Totally echo the other reviewers' reviews in regards to service. The last 4 times we have used their online ordering system, they have failed to get the order when we arrived at the store. Rather than making the missed order after we showed them proof of receipt and payment, they stared at us blankly and said they didn't get the order in the system. If it happens every time, that's a pretty good indication your system is broken!!! They don't even to proceed to make the order until their manager comes out and tells them to. One of their friends or another coworker placed an order after mine was placed. They went ahead and made their drink first. Skipped every online, call ahead, in person order and made hers. Thai tea should just be made the simple basic original way not mixed with milk tea. It's honestly weird. That Hokkaido? Definitely not my cup of tea one bit.
