Excellent for a summer day after some long walks in the city center. The server and most importantly the tea was very traditionally delicious. The menu looks similar to Kung Fu tea, but the tea itself is deeper. The pure ice tea option is at the top of the menu. And there's less of the milk and fruit tea confusion of it. My dad ordered a hot small matcha milk tea with 30% sweet. I took a few sips too and I think it could be less sweet, even with 30% sweetness. As he drank more, the bottom was stronger but maybe next time I either lessen the sugar even more or try another drink. The go-to drink for me has got to be the wintermelon green milk tea with golden boba 100% ice and less (75% sugar). Their golden boba here is A-1 and they definitely don't skimp out on the portions in your drink! I've also tried the peach fruit tea, coffee milk tea, signature milk tea, etc. and they're quite good as well but the wintermelon has to be my fave of all. The location is new, clean, and has art decorating their walls. staff is friendly and during Covid they have markers on the ground to keep up with social distancing guidelines and don't allow more than 3x groups in at one time. They do have a couple tables and benches for you to sit while you wait/enjoy your drink but I generally just opt to go. Since there can be some lines and wait time during peak hours I would recommend ordering online and just picking up so you can get in/out as quickly as possible. read more

Really good boba is so hard to come by. I remember being nervous to move out of my hometown for fear of not being able to have access to boba, let alone GOOD boba lol. With that said.. I'm so incredibly happy I've discovered Ding Tea. This place exceeded my expectations and even my boyfriend's - it's definitely going to be one of our go-to spots now. I ordered a Passion Fruit Milk Tea and my boyfriend ordered a Peach Milk Tea. I loved the flavors of both and I love that Ding Tea does not skimp out on your toppings - every sip I took of my drink, I had a generous amount of boba. The boba is also cooked perfectly. My biggest recommendation would be to downgrade your sweetness level to 75% or even 50%. It was our first time stopping by so we kept our sweetness level at regular (100%) and found our drinks to be a little too sweet. I am a BIG FAN of Ding Tea, and I was excited to hear that they were opening a new location, and it isn't too far from my favorite neighborhood - Alberta. Parking was very tricky to find - especially if you want to park next to the shop, but your best bet is parking a couple blocks away and walking. The interior was super cute, yet minimalistic. There was a couple tables set up inside, but super spacious. The service was quick, fast and friendly just like the other 2 locations and the employees were super communicative - since they got one of my drinks wrong, but they informed me ASAP about it and fixed it right away, which I really appreciate! I ordered a Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea, Taro Milk Tea, Pineapple Green Tea and Peach Green Tea, with a free Oolong Milk Tea (since they messed up). All the drinks tastes exactly the same as the other locations, but it is a bit more sweeter, so I recommend adjusting the sweetness, because I got 70%/less and it tasted like 100%. The boba texture was chewy, and soft -- which is like the best texture for boba. The grass jelly in the Taro Milk Tea was great, and Ding Tea is the only place I get grass jelly in my drinks! - Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea tastes sorta like coffee, but it doesn't have coffee. But it tastes sorta like toffee, and one of my favorite drinks I definitely recommend going here! But, give yourself extra time to find a parking spot, cause the location is on a one-way street with a bunch of cars already parked for the surrounding businesses. read more

Visiting family in Portland and needed my West coast bubble tea fix, so we went to Ding Tea Williams and it was exactly what we wanted! Love taro, so we tried their taro mash (has bits of real taro--so good!) with burnt creme (adds a nice creaminess) and grass jelly (best that I've tried--so soft and smooth) at 50% sweet (moderately sweet for us and perfect!). Also tried their signature milk tea with boba (classic taste and boba was soft and chewy like it should be), mango milk tea (great mango taste), and plain yakult milk tea for the kid. All tasted great! Plus, the front staff were all very friendly, professional and polite (we've met some very pretentious servers in Portland). Took us 25 minutes to drive here, but it was worth it. My favorite boba place in the area! Being from the SF Bay Area, I was set on finding a good boba place around Portland. So far Ding Tea is the best. Great honey boba (they call golden boba), good tea and nice flavorings. My go to is the Wintermelon milk tea. It's exactly what I wanted. I do like things on the sweeter side, but even then I like 70% here. Plus, they actually give less ice when you ask for it. I have yet to try their fruit teas, but that's next on my list. Their service is great as well. They balanced online orders and got mine ready within a couple minutes of ordering. We went there few times a week for a month because it was closest tea shop around us, but never feel welcomed. 2 girls were there, 1 was making drink, and the other one was just standing next to her talking. I've been to a lot of bubble tea shops all over town; I would say Ding ranks in the middle. It's not bad, but not great. Maybe it's because I didn't order well. I got a lychee milk tea with golden boba. The person working told me golden boba are less sweet than black; I still found them to be pretty sweet, which isn't a bad thing, I just didn't notice much difference from black boba. The boba were well cooked, good balance of soft and chewy. Their toppings are 75 cents, whereas most other places charge 50. I think my mistake was in ordering a flavored tea. They have so many on the menu, and all the flavors are listed ahead of the non-flavored teas, so I figured this must be their specialty. I don't know if it is, but it wasn't for me. They add syrup to black milk tea. I ordered half sweet, it was a bit too sweet, and I found the fruit flavor off-putting. I'll order plain tea next time. The odd thing is they put my drink in a hot cup. I went with 4 friends. 2 got hot drinks and they were in cups like mine; the other 2 got cold drinks and they were in clear plastic cups. I got mine without ice, but I didn't ask for it to be hot. It was cool but not cold, whereas at other places, I'd say iceless drinks are actually cold. It kind of took away from the aesthetic fun of drinking boba tea, I couldn't see my boba to go after them with my straw! read more
