A friend told us to go check out "Dings" we must of passed up the place twice before we realized where it was. The Dings sign needs to be lit up, Im sure it would bring more people in if the Sign was visible. We stopped for a drink and to check out this place a few months ago. It was chill with a few people around the bar talking and having a laugh. The bartender greeted us with a smile and introduced herself, Shay served us a couple of beers from the tap. Really enjoyed the taste of The Firestone blood orange beer. There is 2 pool tables and a smoke area facing the street. Has been our go to place since! read more

No food service well served my drink got it correct ! no smile no inter action. Then charged me 6.50 for a shot. Ok but I gave her a 20.00 cash and happen to forget the 10.00 bill As she stood in the back and did whatever for a long time I caught her attention and said I gave you a 20.00'she just reached over and gave me a 10??? How were you so sure that's what I was missing ??? During the returned money Never a word LIKE "I m sorry" nothing bitch that's my 10.00'hard earned money and you can't even say sorry "IF IT WAS A MISTAKE". My husband went to that bar last week and he had 3 shots of "tequila " mind you that he's not a light weight drinker, he got really bad and he got alcohol poisoning, I really don't know what he got served but we ended up in the emergency room, also he tip in cash and he cross the tip line on the receipt and the bartender got herself a 35% gratuity on the card plus the other $20 he had given her in cash. You can't tell from the outside that this is a bar. I'd say this is the nicest one in Fairfield. I always enjoy playing pool which is $1 and you have to buy a drink to be able to play. Several TVs with the game on. Chill vibe. Sporty decor. Good drinks and good times. read more

They recently went and got a shiny new re-model. So, don't go trying to enter through the back door anymore - it's closed and now part of the extended bar. It's a bit brighter and lighter, but it's basically the same ol' Dings. Small place. Great cold drinks. Lots of fireball mixes. Great place to socialize and enjoy music and sports. I love the energy in this spot. Lots of locals and police always camping out. Be careful when drinking. Have a chaperone if you can. This is a local pub. Pool tables. Jukebox with lots of good music. Bartender is on it. Snacks available. Close to the fwy and food spots. A walk from downtown and other taverns if you feel like hopping. This place is very small. Limited seating. Parking is in the back in the dark. Stopped in Easter evening because my normal sports bar (Thompson's Corner) was closed for the Holiday. The only available seat at the Bar had my back to 90% of the patrons....which was not comfortable feeling. This kind of dive bar is not for everyone. Moved to a better seat, after a bit. Driving thru Fairfield last week I decided stop by and have a drink at Dings..came across Maria who was my server at the bar...great service & sense of humor! Very small location. Not the crowd you want to be around. Free pool attacts the wrong crowd. Like like a 50's bar from the looks of things. Single bathroom thats dirty. Only decent thing was the jukebox. Time to hop to another bar. read more
