Was looking for a brunch place and came upon this place since it's super close to our home. We saw they had some options for brunch. We had an our dogs so we were able to sit outside in a like a makeshift patio. We don't sit inside so I wasn't able to fully see, but I do love that the have they doors that go up so you can get the breeze from the outside. I ordered their peanut Thai hamburger with fries, my partner ordered the chipotle steak salad, and my friend ordered the chilaquiles. the food came out and it looked good. The burger was ok, wasnt anything amazing. The salad, was bland, with like Taco Bell cheese and the steak is all chopped up and pretty fatty. My friend really enjoyed hers and it had a kick to it. They both ordered the packed Bloody Mary which is $3 more and all you get is a piece of bacon... Very skimpy either way their fries to, they were good, nice and crispy. Don't get their blue cheese dressing, it's so watery. Would we come back, probably when I want a beer and looking for an appetizer. It's a bit on the expensive side to. The only true great thing was our server, Jordan, she was awesome and attentive.

Went to Slanted Tree this morning for brunch to celebrate my brother's birthday. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was just okay--the skin kept sliding off the breast, which made it a bit messy and less enjoyable. The waffles were very dry, and I had to request extra butter and syrup to make them more palatable. My friends ordered the eggs Benedict, which unfortunately missed the mark. The dish came with a thick, overpowering slice of ham on a medium-sized biscuit, topped with a boiled egg instead of a properly poached one. The hollandaise sauce was minimal, bland, and tasted like it came straight from a package--very high in sodium and lacking that rich, buttery flavor that makes eggs Benedict special. The egg itself seemed to be boiled without vinegar in the water, and the signature runny yolk that should blend with the hollandaise simply wasn't there. Overall, it didn't deliver the classic eggs Benedict experience we were hoping for. We also ordered mimosas. The champagne was served in a large pitcher, while the orange juice came in small cups, which meant passing cups around the table instead of having a more elegant or convenient setup. The restaurant wasn't very busy, though there were several people seated at the bar. The parking lot is quite small, which could be a challenge during peak hours. All in all, Slanted Tree might be an okay backup option if other brunch spots have long waits, but based on this experience, it wouldn't be my first choice.

Yes, I like this place. It's right near my house. I go there maybe every other months I'm busy seeing this right now might have to pop in again everyone's food is good

Came in on a Tuesday night for Lotteria - was a lot of fun and a great place for food and drinks. Staff were very friendly and checked on our table often for drink refills and made sure we always had napkins. Decor covers the walls and gives plenty of talking points, like past and upcoming events. Bathroom was clean, and the place is kind of split between a dining area, bar area, and outdoor patio. A nice chill hangout for the older audience in this primarily suburban area. Lots of space, and not too noisy - huge plus. Ordered the Thai peanut burger and it was pretty good! Huge burger with great crispy fries. The bacon was a bit thick, but in today's economy $20 for a burger and fries, with a super thick patty, was totally worth it. Will be back with some friends!

Came here on a weeknight and restaurant was pretty busy. We sat at the bar and ourserver greeted us right away and attended to us. She was sweet. We ordered some sliders the patty felt dry and the bread was just not the best. We also got B.L.A.T sandwich with fries and Slanted Tree Cobb salad ( It was a little dry on the dressing and i had to ask for more on the side, which she happily gave it to me),but salad was nothing special but big portion and perfect for sharing. The lettuce itself just tasted stale as if it had been in the fridge for sometime. We did get some cocktail paloma (this was good) and also a negroni also good. Overall great place to grab a drink and some bar food.

Good food. Busy place, lots of sports on many TVs. Saw the US Open and decided to stay. Glad we did. Had an itch for mac & cheese and boy was my itch scratched. Absolutely delicious. Hubby had linguine with sun dried tomatoes and peas in a lovely olive oil, divine. Good selection of beer too!

Lobster Ravioli, Classic Burger, Steak Nachos

Had a really nice late brunch with my girls at Slanted Tree. It was just a few minutes before they were able to serve the Lobster Ravioli but luckily was able to order it with the okay from the chef! Our waiter was very attentive, and helpful. It was not packed when we went, (may be more packed towards the night time) but nonetheless was enjoyable. I do recommend the Lobster ravioli! I wasn't quite feeling eating a burger so seeing some pasta options was a relief! Definitely hit the spot.

    Sunrise Skillet

Random brunch pick while waiting to pick up our cat. Good choice. Food was delicious and price was on point. I had the Sunrise Skillet, that's pictured. It came with your choice of sourdough, wheat or muffin. The skillet looked small at first but it was packed and filling. My son had their Chicken and Waffles. Their chicken was more Katsu style tenders, which was flavored right and crunchy. My son's only critique was the waffles could have been more crispy. Ambiance is more of a taproom vibe, which is perfect to go to at night.

Was looking for a place with craft beer and a good variety of food and this place exceeded expectations. It has a good selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers and other entrees. And their craft beer selection is wide and varies with some interesting locals. We enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup and shared a pulled pork sandwich - both hit the spot and washed down with a nice craft beer collab by nearby True Symmetry and Fieldwork. Service was friendly and they had good viewing of sports going on in NBA and NHL playoffs.

Cozy spot with great vibes. I recently visited a restaurant and was immediately impressed with the cool vibe. The space is open with lots of seating and a well stocked bar that adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. Perfect for brunch and social gatherings. To start of I had a Baileys coffee, which it the spot. For food we went with the Bacon eggs Benedict and the Sunrise Skillet. Both were delicious. The Benedict's came with perfectly poached eggs and Sunrise Skillet was very hearty and delicious. Over all it was a great experience.

    Fritto misto

An excellent little taproom in the Cordelia food cluster. Wide and frequently changing list of beer taps, there's something gonna fit ya. Food follows the pub-grub vibe and is mostly well executed with some examples of focused attention on generous plates. Some selections to consider; Thai Peanut burger is imaginative mixing some Asian fragrance to the burger format. Fritto misto is super tasty, crisp, crunchy with a spicy remoulade. Staff are quick around the room and bartenders are some of the most thoughtful and practiced veterans in this neighborhood. Wine list has some strong labels, full bar ready to go. Tribute to the spirit of the place is the regular customer presence will hold court at the bar so if you want a stool, get early. Dining room is roomy with many 4-tops, deuces and hi-tops. You'll find a spot. Take out beer is an option of many tap selections so... there's that. Trivia night comes around regularly if that's ur thing so, dig it. I'll say it again. You know its a good sign when the place opens at 11a and by 1105a, there are 6 or 7 customers already ordering drinks! Felt very comfortable when i first sat down, everyone was very friendly. Cool bar and beer selection was top notch. Glad i could find their menu on Untappd to know which of the 20 handles i had already enjoyed. Flight price was very good, to go beers were a bit pricey. I didnt try any food but that will happen! Overall a positive experience that I will return to!

Great spot off the freeway with free parking! Came to catch up with some friends over a couple round of local brews. A variety of choices from Northern CA. Didn't get a chance to order a meal but we did enjoy the fried calamari with zucchini & the chicharrones- they were lightly dusted with tajin maybe? Some type of spice and enjoyed with some hot sauce and ranch! Perfect combo with the brews! Staff was very friendly and checked on us often. Lots of indoor seating & a full bar up front. As we were leaving they were setting up for a trivia night! So cool! We were invited to stay but unfortunately had to get home. The place was packed by then so I can definitely guarantee it's a fun experience. Will definitely be back!

Ask the Community - Slanted Tree Kitchen & Taproom

Do you have bottomless mimosas or bloody marys?

Bottomless mimosas are only available during brunch on the weekends. Bloody Marys are available all the time.

For their "weekend brunch" does that include Fridays or just Saturdays & Sundays? I know some restaurants don't include Fridays as their "weekend" days.

The brunch is available from 10a-2p on Saturday and Sunday, but does not include Friday.

Does anyone know if this place has a happy hour or specials?

Oh ya they do! 3-6pm and 9- closing. 2 buck off beers and apps. Enjoy!

Super personable, great energy, and made the whole experience feel effortless. I ordered the peanut butter and jelly burger--smash-style patty with bacon, peanut butter, jelly, Tabasco, and pickles--and wow... one of the most unique and satisfying burgers I've had in a long time. It hits that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and nostalgic. I asked Paul what he would pair with it, and he absolutely nailed it. He introduced me to "Chimp My Ride" from Solano Brewing Company, a rich stout with chocolate and peanut butter notes that complemented the burger perfectly. It honestly brought back that childhood lunchbox feeling in the best way possible. On top of that, Chef Jamie personally brought out the food and took the time to connect--great conversation, great presence, and you can tell there's real pride behind what they're doing here. The vibe, the style, the food, and the people all come together here. Easy five stars. I'll definitely be back.

Within minutes, I knew I'd found exactly where I wanted to spend a hot summer afternoon. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between neighborhood tavern and craft beer destination. Vintage bicycles hang overhead, dozens of rotating taps line the wall, and the energy is lively without ever feeling chaotic. Whether you're catching the match, meeting friends after work, or simply escaping the summer heat, Rustwater has that welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay for another round. Following the bartender's recommendation, I ordered the Chicken Ciabatta from the specials board with a side of crispy tater tots, and it was absolutely the right call. The sandwich arrived beautifully presented on a perfectly toasted ciabatta roll with just the right amount of crunch. Inside was juicy grilled chicken layered with smoky bacon, melted provolone, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and a flavorful pesto mayo that brought everything together without overpowering the fresh ingredients. Every bite delivered a wonderful combination of textures and balanced flavors. The tater tots were exactly what great tavern food should be, golden, crisp, and light on the outside with a fluffy interior. They became downright addictive when dipped into a combination of ketchup and a Ghost Hot Sauce that once they are out they are out adding a slow-building kick that complemented the crispy potatoes perfectly. As I enjoyed a cold pint from their outstanding rotating tap list, Spain put the finishing touches on a 2-0 victory over France, sending them to the World Cup Final. Great soccer, an exceptional craft beer, and a fantastic lunch, it doesn't get much better than that on a scorching summer afternoon. Rustwater has earned its reputation over the years, and it's easy to understand why. Friendly service, an outstanding craft beer program, elevated tavern food, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger long after the final whistle. If you're looking for one of downtown Fairfield's best spots to enjoy creative tavern fare, explore an ever-changing lineup of craft beers, and catch the big game, Rustwater Kitchen & Taproom deserves a place on your list. I'll definitely be back to see what's on tap next, and without question, those crispy tater tots will be making another appearance on my table with the ghost hot sauce, if still available, due to the company going out of business.
