Lets start with the positives. Great service. Friendly and fast. Clean table which is great. No arms sticking to anything. Now for the help needed items. There is a weird mildewish smell that you can quickly pick up on. The chorizo omelet was so dry. The eggs in the omelet were way over cooked but the rye toast and hash brown patties we good and the crispy bacon was perfect. The biscuit and gravy with grits and eggs was well disappointing. The sausage gravy was over peppered and thick like glue with almost a perfume after taste. The biscuit was lacking in flavor and grits flavor wise was good but under cooked and had crunchy bits all in it. The over medium eggs were great. Amazing breakfast and lunch but the patty melt stands out as one of the best burgers in New England. In the spirit of Loius's Lunch it has a perfectly cooked to your order burger on toast which features a charcoal fire burger that really features the taste of the beef. This place has changed for the worse. I inquired about ownership and found that it is new owners since my last visit and review. Last visit was amazing and 5 star review. This visit was BAD. The service was good until we got our food then we never saw our waitress. Women walking back and forth but she told me "no speak English" when I tried to say something. It was very expensive! $60 for two for breakfast! Meals arrived in multiple deliveries. Food not fresh. Not homemade. Food from cans and freezer. Turkey no longer cooked in house. Food lacked taste. Took our family to celebrate daughter's birthday today, July 5, 2026. Sat there for one hour and 15 minutes, waiting for food. Couple in front of us still not served after 90 minutes. Said we'd like check for drinks so we could leave and were told that one man was cooking for the full restaurant...Well, why not tell us that upon arrival and not have us sitting there like that. My boyfriend and I sat down at 12 when it wasn't busy and we waited 20 minutes for someone to come take our order. We sat for another 2 hours waiting for our food for it to come and as we were about to leave our food came out completely wrong. After seeing another table get up and walk out that sat down after us we tried asking our waitress what happened. She was rude and told us the other waitress kept taking her food. How can you not notice one of your tables you walk past repeatedly still doesn't have their food. Our waitress came back with the bill and tried charging us an extra $3 because of the toppings in the pancakes that were supposed to be French toast. Almost walked out after seeing the prices on the menu. Very Very expensive. I chose the Route 1 and they actually give you 1 sausage link, 1 egg and one piece of French Toast and cold home fries and toast for $12. I could spend $14 at other local diners and get double the food. Then they charge $4 for a glass of juice, and it's not fresh squeezed. The server was hard to understand due to language barrier. Also no soap was in the bathrooms and no one seemed to care when I complained. Are employees even washing their hands? sub par food, sub par portion size, sub par service, very expensive. Good environment, good staff, just horrible food, absolutely nothing special about that place, the food was bland, i genuinely could do it better at home without a taste palette, no right eye, no left arm, and without both of my legs. That's just how basic that food is. Ordered French toast and it came with more eggs than bread, looked liked an omelette with a piece of toast, no cinnamon or sugar on my French toast and they could've at least topped it off with some power sugar to make it more presentable. My husband and I came to enjoy lunch at the diner on 5-9-2023. Been here for breakfast years ago and wasn't disappointed. Today was a Tuesday around noon, and it wasn't busy. We saw the story , several months ago on chronicle about the diner, and I couldn't wait to try one of their signature burgers. We ordered frappes ( chocolate and strawberry) and I ordered the dean martin burger and my husband ordered the grilled Ruben. Service was quick, and the waitress was very nice. While we enjoyed our lunches, I can't say it was as good as I hoped. The burger didn't have much flavor , and the Ruben was dry. I would def go back for the great service and a great breakfast. Since my first visit and Yelp over a year ago, I've been to Victors several times for breakfast. My most recent prompted me to update my review. I ordered the Victors skillet and my friend ordered chicken fried steak with eggs. Both were delicious and enough to share. Side options included grits with cheeses which was served hot and tasty. The skillet which consisted of two biscuits, sausage, eggs, and sausage gravy on top of home fries. This dish reminded me of Colorado restaurant 'Denver Diner' dish called Mass-Confusion. read more

Food was good, hash browns not cooked as much as I'd prefer (which is crispy but not fried) but still they were tasty ! Egg was cooked as asked. Over easy- my sister LOVED her banana nut pancake, my niece loved her kids breakfast of pancakes & bacon. Coffee was alright - I was a little surprised they only have cream for coffee - at least a low percent milk would have been nice. Price was expected. If in the area again we would definitely consider going there for breakfast again. Waiting area is tiny. Kinda uncomfortable but there isn't much for them to work with in regards to that. And every time the door opened I was so cold. We sat near the door. I doubt the rest of the restaurant felt it though. read more

Good biscuits and gravy, the cup is enough to cover two biscuits. Might suggest to get a sausage patty on the side to add a little to it but still some of the best white gravy I'm found in MA. Great place for breakfast or brunch ! Came here the other day for a late brunch and it was amazing. We walked in and got a table almost immediately. We quickly ordered our food. I got the chocolate chip French toast, side of bacon, and a grilled blueberry muffin. It looked like so much food but I had quite the appetite ! Once we ordered, it must have been about a half hour or so before our food was brought to our table. That I thought was a pretty long wait, but then again they were really busy. Some took advantage of the "breakfast all day" option. Burgers are HUGE half pound angus, with many options for toppings. The skillets are huge, three-egg affairs. All portions are ample. Victor's Diner is like travelling back in time to a place of large caloric breakfast meals that make the American Heart Association cry tears of fluoride water. When you enter the establishment you must write your name on a list. Don't be fooled into thinking someone is keeping track of who was there first. Many have made this mistake, and many have been skipped for being seated. After you put your name on the list... you wait to be seated. This averages between 15 - 30 minutes depending what day/time you arrive. After you are seated place your order quickly. You will have to wait 45 minutes to an hour and a half for your food to arrive to your table. So it makes sense to get here before you are hungry at all. ~~~ PRO TIP: ~~~ If you're a manly man like me who brushes his teeth with rocks, and plays soccer with the heads of hipsters, order the Victor Skillet. You can't go wrong, it's everything you need in your life on a plate. My next tip is to call in an order for pickup. Hangover? Honeymoon? Divorce? Diet fell apart? Mesothelioma? Call into Victor's, place a pick up order for a Victor's Skillet, and skip the line and headache! The only part of the meal that was good were the eggs. Ther chicken fried steak was really thin, hard and the gravy was just passable. I've been to a lot of diners. Like, a lot. General Note: When you walk in if there's a wait there's a list on the register. You need to write your own name. Us and the group in front of us didn't know that and then when I man walked in front of us and started writing his name on the list I was like "Um, hello, we were here first." Here is our exchange maybe not verbatim): Allen (that was list his name - I saw it on the list, although it may have been Alan, I don't remember - and full of attitude at that): Well did you write your name on the list? Me: Um, no, nobody told us to do that. Allen: Well that's what you do. Me: We didn't know, we've never been here before. Allen: That's what they do everywhere. My friend: Yeah, because every place I go I write my own name on the wait list. Allen, you're a jerk. Just, you know, fyi. To everyone else: Now you know what to do so you can avoid jerks like Allen. That said, this exchange didn't take away any stars, although I do find it a bit odd that, at the very least, they didn't have some sort of sign instruction you write your own name on the list. Good things: Our service was stellar in that exactly what you'd want at a 50s diner sort of way. She was snarky and fresh and full of 'tude, but in a fun way, and our coffee never wanted for refills. The home fries and french toast were pretty good. Not stellar. But pretty good. Bad things: The food in general was mediocre overall, at best. The coffee was a little burnt. Moreover, the food took like a half hour from the time we ordered (ordered, not arrived) to make it to our table, and then it was cold. Cold. Boo.
