My best visit to this Dion's thus far! It was clean, so much so, that they had a person stationed just to monitor the dining room. The tables were clean, the floor was clean. The women's bathroom was clean, although, only 1 stall had toilet paper. The food was on point. We enjoyed the single slice of pizza with beverage and a small salad. If you've never tried the Chef Salad you need to, it's delicious. This time I didn't order the green chili ranch - BUT it's fabulous. We buy the bottles and take them home. Great little pizza place and very filling. You get a small pizza chain vibe, when you walk in, but it still beats larger chain restaurants. The prices are really good but be warned that the pizza is very filling. I ordered two large pizza's, since our family usually can finish them. At this place, we had one slice left from the first pizza. We were stuffed. This place was very clean and the staff were super friendly. We were needing pizza and beer the other night and came here. No beer :-( We heard their pizza was pretty good so we stayed. There were 4 of us, and we wanted the Napoli, but it came only in 14" max and we were concerned that would not be enough. Fortunately the nice person at the register said we could get it in 16" but it would not be the gourmet crust. OK, that worked. We also ordered a pitcher of iced tea (parched after long afternoon at White Sands) and a couple of the chocolate chip cookies. When the tea arrived we were kinda horrified - it was grossly cloudy (see photo below). It tasted fine, but the murkiness was rather off-putting. We ate our two cookies while waiting for the pizza - they were OK, lots of chips, but not great. The pizza was ready in a timely fashion. It looked wonderful, smelled great and tasted even better The toppings are really high quality. We all agreed that if we were to rate this place solely on the pizza it would definitely be a "5". Oh, one other issue was the table we wanted to sit at was pretty dirty, so we had to sit somewhere else. Bottom line: if all you are looking for is good pizza, this is the spot. I placed an order and was supposedly delivered. It was not. I got a weird message from driver that it was left in the emergency room??? I have a house. Called Dion's they said I had to call DoorDash. Called DoorDash, got the run around, same time I was on hold w/ DoorDash I used another phone, called Dion's a nice young girl answered and gave me a full refund. Kudos. DD had me on hold for 10 minutes jerking me around. I mentioned they should lose DD and she stated they get a lot of complaints. So I'm warning about use of DoorDash , Dion's is great food and all. I've been coming here for years, and the quality has gone down. I almost never had an issue, but I for the last 6 months I frequently have missing toppings I've paid for. All orders are done through the app so there can't be a misunderstanding on what's to be put on the pizza. My last order wasn't cut at all, I had to do that at home. To be fair, the food is still above average and one of the better places to get pizza in town. Please compensate your staff better and do a better job a QA. I purchase less or go elsewhere when the quality goes down. You don't save money cutting corners. You lose business. read more

My kiddos and I just got back from a Yelp event here and we had a great time. There was sooooooo much food and the restaurant is so clean and vibrant. The staff, especially Shea, Hannah, and Andrew were great...so nice and attentive. We tried cheese and pepperoni and green chili pizza. I loved the green chili pizza. We had some cheesy bread and a Greek salad, which I also loved. My kids had brownies and obviously those were a big hit. Amazing, delish, excellent! Dion's is one of my all-time favorite pizza places. It's usually a place we go to whenever we're in Las Cruces or Albuquerque. Their 505 pizza is amazing! It has green chile and pepperoni. Talk about an excellent combination! I also add some crushed red pepper and parm cheese! Mmm! Their crust is never too thin or thick, it's always just right. Their cheese and sauce are also perfect! The sauce isn't sweet or bitter. Their pizza tastes great hours later or the next day. We always order a large so that we have leftover pizza. Their salads and sandwiches are pretty good but the pizza is where it's at. Another favorite is their walnut brownies...they're just straight up perfection! We also like to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and warm it up in the microwave for a few seconds. The staff is always friendly at every location I've been to. I can't speak for the pizza, I ordered the salad and it was very good. However, hours after eating it I became very ill. My husband and I ate all the same things yesterday the only difference was the salad and that's what I threw up... multiple times. So bad that I've decided to not come to that particular dions anymore, or dions at all. I ordered on the mobile app at 11:30. My expected pick up time was 12:05. I arrive at the drive-tru and wait about 35 minutes. I saw 3 cars leave that line in that time span. I continue to wait, and wait for about another 15 minutes. Finally get to the window, and only receive half my order! I was asked to pull off to wait for the rest of my order, and end up waiting another 10 minutes!! Just absolutely terrible, they didn't even say "sorry for the wait," nor did they ask if I wanted any sort of compensation. Terrible customer service for a company that prides their selfs on that! When I come to Las Cruces this is one of my go to places. Number one because I love the Greek Salad with the dressing they serve. I didn't know I liked olives until I ate them here; in their greek salad. Number two super yummy brownies with walnuts OMG. I have been to other locations in Cruces and was so happy to see this location with a drive thru. I called in order and saw the drive through after the fact. But oh well I can walk in no biggie. I love restaurants that embrace green chile because in my opinion that is best food on earth. They have fresh green chilie as an option on pizza AMEN and Yum! Having lived in Albuquerque for a time a while back, I definitely miss having a Dions near me now that back home in Los Angeles. So the first night of our trip, we stayed in Las Cruces and had to have Dions. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We ordered a large sandwich for each of us, and a large pizza and salad. We got through half of everything because there was so much food. But it was just how I remembered it. The pastrami was excellent, the pizza was perfect and the salad was amazing.
