Wow! I was in town for a tournament and saw this place had great reviews. My husband and I ordered the calzone. It was probably the best we've ever had. I'm not even exaggerating. The dough was baked to perfection, a light crunch on the outside with a soft middle. It's served with ranch and marinara sauce but definitely doesn't need it. The customer service was great and the restaurant was inviting. I get why this is a local favorite. read more

We had a great experience with Valley Pizza! We were coming into Las Cruces from a long roadtrip, and wanted something convenient to grab on our way to where we were staying. We easily placed an online order, and although we arrived before the order was scheduled to be ready, it was all ready to go for us! We ordered two pizzas and the garden salad. The pizza was delicious, we loved the hand tossed crust! The salad was filled with fresh veggies. And although we did take out, the ambiance was wonderful with a fun atmosphere on the patio. Highly recommend! Next time we'll eat there and enjoy some drinks on the patio. :) read more

I must be honest. I don't know how this place is in business. Ill start with meatballs. The sause is very bland. Meatballs I describe as TV dinner quality and taste. The pizza is always on too done side. I would say burnt. The dollar delivery means it's guerenteed to be cold. One thing I must add. Didn't complain. Until after third overdone pizza. I was given credit for pizza. Called to reorder. Was told then I couldn't just order pizza replacement must order more. So,I did. But, it was second time trying wings. I think little kids are cooking them. I want no more of their food period. read more

Pizza was pretty good and they allow dogs on their outside patio but all their drinks are warm cans and bottles and they do not provide any cups or ice. They didn't even have my favorite drink, regular Pepsi! If I come back I would have to bring my own cup, ice and Pepsi. read more

Today was our first time here. We dined in. We ordered a XL meat pizza, chicken wings - Mild and spicy bbq, a house salad and a chicken Caesar salad. It fed four of us and we brought home leftovers. The pizza had a thin crust. The decor was really outdated and the pictures that were hung up were crooked. I'm not a fan of the yellow paint but if you can look past the hole in the wall spot it was pretty good. Apparently have live music here sometimes too. read more

A few years ago, I tried Valley Pizza and it was delicious, almost like NY pizza. Unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd time, the pizza was terrible and this was 2 years ago. Today I decided to try it again hoping that it would be as good as the first time I ordered pizza there. It was actually worse. The pizza was dry, tasteless and expensive. We've driven by this place numerous times and it always looked busy, so we decided to try it. It was not a disappointment excellent pizza and the price is good. Crust crisp and chewy. Lots of toppings of meat(meat lovers). Good amount of cheese. friendly staff. plenty of parking. Inside seating limited but I believe there's a patio. Definitely worth a try. read more

If you order online, they will give you a time to arrive. If you add twenty minutes to that time, and then arrive ten or fifteen minutes AFTER that, then you'll probably have to wait no more than half an hour to receive your order. If counting the number of facial piercings and tattoos on restaurant staff is a favorite past time of yours, then the wait will go by fast. But if you're one of those weird people who like to receive your order in a timely manner BEFORE the people who ordered after you, and you don't respond well to obvious nonsense such as, "we're just waiting on your order to come out of the oven" (after they told you the same thing verbatim fifteen minutes earlier) then this might not be your place. Happy to see their bright song as we returned to Las Cruces from a long day filming. Stopped by and ordered a few slices and beer. They were in the process of making a new slice crust but at least we knew it would be hot and fresh. Sat in an overlit and austere dining room to wait. On my trip to wash my hands I noticed an almost hidden door and through the window I spied a delightful looking patio. We grabbed our drinks and went outside. It was packed which explained the puzzle of the full parking lot yet we were the only table inside. There was live music, a full moon and perfect weather. When the pizza arrived 10 mins later we sat and enjoyed it right there. As promised it was hot, fresh and the crispy crust was perfect. I had cheese with tomatoes and fresh basil. My boo is a carnivore and assured me the pepperoni was equally delicious. Nice folks , great pizza at a good price and free live entertainment. Well done valley pizza. Well done indeed. read more

Stopped here for a pasta after getting bbq across the street since we weren't full lol. Pasta was baked to order and took 20m to get, which was exactly what they told us when we ordered! The rigatoni pasta was a bit watery and too soft, not al dente if you prefer that. It also wasn't rigatoni...looked like penne to me. we love the food and service at Valley and have been frequent customers. We discovered yesterday that call-in orders for pick-up must be prepaid. If you prepay by credit card, Valley applies a surcharge and you no longer get the first responder discount. we have always paid in cash when we picked up our order. In order to get the discount now, we would have to order and pay in person and then wait 15 to 45 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, this change will mean that we will go elsewhere in the future. read more

I have lived in Las Cruces for just 2 years, moved from Houston and I've always looked for local spots and this place is just CHEFS KISS! The people are the best, the pizza is delicious as well as their wings!! I celebrated my birthday here with family and friends and they made it so special with all the help Julia gave us! The outside patio area is beautiful but especially during the evening with their twinkle lights! Great for a bite to eat or a hang out with friends! read more

This place has been around for a while, and I've given it a few chances, but I'm just never impressed. What really bothered me this time was how the employees acted. While I was waiting, they were loudly swearing and started talking badly about a customer who had just left. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and honestly made me feel like they'd probably do the same to me once I walked out. The whole place had a bad vibe, and it just felt like they didn't care about the customers at all. Food is overpriced and not really good. Sorry but I won't be back. read more

On their website, 10 wings are $10.50. On their "updated " menu, available after you order by phone, the price for 10 wings is $17.50. Not $10 as listed, $17.50!! All of the prices have gone way up! Valley Pizza on Picacho is a great joint! We found amazing deal of $5 for a hefty fresh pizza slice with a can of cold beer, among other affordable options including sandwiches. Last Saturday night we chilled to the sound of The Pizza Bones band in the spacious patio (we would have danced if we weren't so full). Even with a tip to the band, my companion and I had an evening of fun for $25. Grateful to find a fun place we can go to on the spur of the moment. read more

History

Established in 2010.

Valley Pizza opened up right across the street from Mayfield High School in 2008. For 5 years, Valley Pizza catered to the high school crowd every school day and fed the general public by night. In January of 2014, Valley Pizza moved to 3100 W. Picacho Ave., right next to D.A.M. Ammo and has been thriving and growing ever since. We at Valley Pizza would like to thank all of our new customers who supported us after the move and would like to give a special THANK YOU to those very special customers who supported us before, during, and after the move because you guys truly kept us afloat during a very trying time. We value all of our customers and, if you call in often enough, we will know your order by heart and have your food in the oven before you're even off the phone!

Meet the Business Owner: Stephen L.

Stephen grew up in Gallup, New Mexico, helping his dad bake bread and fry doughnuts at West End Donut & Deli ever since he was tall enough to pour flour into a dough mixer. Stephen has worked in the food industry his whole life, having worked at Merritt's in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for about a decade. Being offered the opportunity to own his own restaurant, he jumped at the chance and moved to Las Cruces in 2010 to take over the business from the previous owner, Carla Deemer, who had opened Valley Pizza in 2008 when she was only 18 years old. Carla could never really separate herself from the pizza place, so, to this day, she and Stephen work together as a team to make sure every customer walks out the door feeling full and happy. Stephen and Carla both take great pride in their pizzas, sandwiches, salads and the rest of the food they make. They like the feeling of knowing they are making and selling an honest product and helping the economy by keeping everything as local as possible

Horrible service I ordered pizza and wing took them 2hours yeah my food after an hour and 45 minutes I called to see what was going on only for them to tell me all the drivers almost there 15 minutes later I called again but he said he's on your street 10 minutes later he gets there my street is not long and the pizza is cold I called them she said oh will give you credit or we can remake it I said it's already in the oven so go ahead and give me credit she said OK I'll put it on the wall after calling they don't have my order very bad service the manager didn't care ordering from here the wings were undercooked read more

Valley Pizza never disappoints! The pizza is always fresh, hot, and full of flavor.
