I ended up paying everything up front ($3340) and after my trial and wasn't happy with the hair and makeup, I told her we didn't have the same vibe. Cancelled and she refused to give me the money back for services she DID NOT PREFORM*** I booked Mary Jo for my hair and makeup for my wedding day. It was for a destination wedding, I tried to get in with a bridal trial with Mary in June, but Mary was booked. So we ended up scheduling 3 days prior to the wedding. The way she had me pay was 50% down then two weeks prior to the event you pay the remainder. I had a large wedding party 8 bridesmaids plus my hair, plus her travel fee of $400 and I had to include 20%, in total it was $3340 that I had to prior to the event. Finally the trial came up which she was 30 min late to the salon, then started with my hair. I wanted a low bun sleek look, however I got a crunchy hairspray/gel look with a messy bun, she kept saying she would bring other things or I should buy them and she could use them that it would look better on the day of the wedding (which acknowledges it didn't look good). Then we started makeup, I asked for a soft glam warm look. When she was done with my makeup, I had cool colors, yellow face and raccoon eyes. I then asked if we could work on the hair some more, she said she could but had another client to color their hair. So she pulled them back and put the color in. Then came back and tried to fix the hair. Again more crunchy hair it was terrible. I felt so overwhelmed because my wedding was only 3 days away and it was clear that Mary and I didn't really have the same taste and wasn't going to be a good fit. Unsure what to do with the wedding days away I showed my bridesmaids who all backed out of wanting to use her as well. I texted Mary explaining that I needed to cancel her and asked for my money back for the wedding since no services had been provided. Unfortunately Mary denied the request and referred to the contract she made me sign. Mary's contract has a no refund policy for any reason but requires you to pay everything up front. She did give me 890 back for the tip and the money for travel. Again, I would normally not say anything but before giving them any money, please do a bridal trial first before booking so you don't have to pay for services that were never performed. It's really unfortunate situation, the fact I had to cancel days before the wedding really was so much stress. The amount that she has stolen from me is over $2400 it's just so sad that people would do this.

i was honestly hestitant to come here but most of the salons were closing and/or appointment only…read moreso i took a chance on proclips and both hair dressers were amazing. mary introduced herself to me although she was with another client and immediately i felt welcomed and comfortable. she assisted my hair dresser with my haircut and she was able to match what i showed her when I came in. they also made sure to keep it long and not go too short like most people do. for $35 im glad i came in and thankful they took me in right before closing
