The smell of bleach was the first thing I noticed walking into this place. Good service for being understaff, though no check back was disappointing. Food was mediocre. Not enough sauce on the fettuccine and a poor value, but a huge profit margin for the restaurant. Pork chop was tougher than Chuck Norris. It seems the fry cook was distracted. Great job on the veggies however. Four stars is generous, with a star knock for being an unclaimed business. Would I return? This is one of those restaurants that's been around for a long time, and DiParma was definitely a great stop. If you're staying at The Cove at Yarmouth, it's a simple walk away. We were greeted upon entering, and seated immediately. The interior is very cozy, and nice to look at. I'm personally impressed with the menu, as there's quite a lot to offer. It took me a bit to figure out what I wanted as I made the decision. The chicken parm sandwich with fries is what I went with, and had the taste of what I expected -- cooked well and tasty. Parm cheese added on it definitely kicked it up a notch, adding the flavor. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Our waiter did a wonderful job accommodating us, and checking in with us pretty frequently. One year, I'll make the stop again. read more

We returned to Di Parma after many years in between our last visit. I am not sure if there's a different chef, or owner, but the food is mediocre at best now. My eggplant parm was very mushy and not particularly flavorful. The pasta had no flavor at all. My husband's ravioli was also fine, but nothing to write home about. Good things: The drinks are strong. The service was great. Our server was kind, friendly, and responsive. Overall, we probably won't go back. Expensive for truly mediocre food. read more

Well well well... this restaurant was really disappointing tonight. I had high hopes. My mother came in tonight for a pick up order. These two men at the front desk one bald and one on the heavier side, were extremely rude, inconsiderate, and racist towards her. Her English is not the best but she tries and is very patient and always willing to learn. They were laughing at her once she finished speaking to a lady at the front desk who was amazing and so helpful. Those men made her feel so awful. I hope they see this and their bosses and know that they were extremely ignorant and disrespectful towards a customer. I hope nobody has to experience the embarrassment she felt. We had dinner there the other night. We were hoping to have linguini with clam sauce but although it was on their menu online, it wasn't on the menu in the restaurant. Although we could have asked about it we decided to try something different. We shared a Cesare Salad and Chicken Parmesan with linguini. The salad was really good. Just the right amount of dressing on fresh lettuce. The Chicken was slightly overcooked and somewhat dry although it tasted very good. There was a bit too much sauce on both the Chicken and Linguini, but it was tasty and we both enjoyed and finished our meal completely. read more

Do not go here if you are looking for good service or if you are looking for your bartender to give a shit. I ordered a margarita ( no salt ) received margarita with salt . Upon asking if I could have my margarita with no salt and a lime as I had requested .. she said all I heard was " salt" I then got a margarita that tasted like the ocean because the salty margarita was just dumped into a glass without salt around the rim. I told her " I can't drink this/ it is all salt. She was fairly perturbed that I had asked got lines s- she was in no way going to make me the margarita I asked for. So I left with my dinner in a box and NO drink . Thanks Depalma. I guess asking for what you want is not a possibility at Depalma. Lesson of the day .. do not go to this restaurant . Been to this establishment many times and I just can't stay away from the north end quality chicken parmigiana. The sauce is so yummy popping with garlic and basil. The chicken breaded and cooked perfectly. 3 choices of pasta I went with the penne. The bread is a croissant type of garlic bread popping with all kinds of flavor. The waitress quick polite and knowledgeable we needed some gluten free questions answered and if she didn't know she found out luckily split. The restaurant was loaded with vintage portraits of Italian legends and the seating was very comfortable. From start to finish this restaurant was second to none Friday night ! The owner was so lighthearted upon greeting us. Mary the matri d was so welcoming. We were seated as soon as we got there and Mackenzie our waitress was the best we've ever had! Her attention to everything we could possibly need was amazing! We started with the most delicious fried calamari cooked perfectly, than she brought the best homemade warm , soft and tasty Italian bread which we could have eaten all night long, with a plate of olive oil and Parmesan cheese sprinkled together. Our order of Shrimp Scampi was off the charts delicious! We split it and was just the right size. All during dinner Mackenzie asked if there was anything else we needed and brought over more warm amazing bread to dip in the scampi! We went for the most Amazing Carrot Cake which satisfied our sweet tooth and topped off the most wonderful dinner soup to nuts we've had! I only wish I could give it 10 Stars !! read more

Two of us ordered the same dish, chicken broccoli and ziti, and although the chicken appeared cooked, we both woke up less than 12 hours later with vile food poisoning. It had to be the meal, as that was the only meal we both had the same that day. Not sure what went wrong, but safe to say we will not be dining here again. Only mercy was that the food poisoning resolved itself within 3 hours. I should also add We paid $26 each for the chicken broccoli and ziti, which is too high a price for a dish that left us ill. Besides the issue with the food, the ambiance was dated and the food was nothing special - simple "Americanized" italian food. Not what we were expecting for a "nice" italian place. However, my parpadalle bolognese was not good. The sauce was bland and a bit watery and a real disappointment. Had the chicken pot pie soup which was the highlight of my meal. It was very good. Unfortunately, it did not make up for the shortcomings of my bolognese. This was 2nd time I have eaten at DiParma and to be honest, my first visit was much better. May give them the opportunity to redeem themselves in the future, unfortunately, this meal just fell flat. read more

Tonight, I decided to give it a try. Eggplant Parm, house salad and rolls. The salad was delicious. The rolls reminded me of soft, squishy, Hawaiian bread. It didn't have the garlic on top that I see in some pictures in these reviews. The eggplant was sliced very thin, which I typically prefer. However the batter, breading?, was so thick the eggplant was tasteless. The sauce was also absent of flavor. A major disappointment. Portion size was good. It actually looked incredible. My wife was craving Italian, so we decided to give Diparma a try. There was a wait when we got there.... I thought this was a good sign. So while waiting, we were able to give the place a good look over. To be honest, I wanted to leave right then and there. The place was totally dated, and what's with the blackhole room underneath DiParma sign when you walk in, lol ??!!!?? . Not every table got bread just before ordering. We were one of those tables. We were asked if we wanted bread 2/3rds through our main course. We passed. Our apptizers were ok, nothing off the charts, but not bad. We had the Bruschetta and Caprese salad. I love seafood, and we both love mushrooms, so we ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms. The presentation was pretty bad looking. But never judge a book!!! The first seafood stuffed mushroom was just bread crumbs. No seafood, and a very thinly slice mushroom tip, not even a full mushroom cap. The second mushroom was a full mushroom cap, stuffed with .. stuffing, one dry bit of seafood, and sandy grit. This was not good. My wife would not try it. So, I ate two out of the five stuffed mushrooms. They asked why we didn't finish, and I told them that they were really bad. But, it stayed on the bill....that's fine. Main course coming up!! I ordered chicken parmesan, and my wife ordered chicken alfredo . There was nothing enjoyable about my dish . One big pile of tasteless chicken and sauce. Sorry, it's time to get out of the 80's with this presentation and taste. My wifes chicken alfredo looked a little sticky, but she said it was fine. I asked her how the chicken was, because mine was not very good. She said they forgot the chicken, but she enjoyed the noodles, and didn't want to bother them about it. So, we are not sure if the waitress wrote the order down wrong, or if it was a kitchen mess up. We skipped dessert, got our bill. We gave the waitress a generious tip. It's not her fault this place is pushing out underwhelming food. Would we dine there again... no. However, we did see a lot of pizza for pickup go out the door. Came here this evening with my boo. Looks fancy but is more casual nice on the interior. When we came in we were greeted by the manager. We were seated by one of the waitstaff rather quickly being that it was 45min before close. The food service was rather quick. Matt, our server gave us ample time to select something off of the menu and helped clarify some questions for us. Example: The Chicken Sausage & Ziti was really Chicken, Italian Sausage, and Ziti. We thought it was Chicken Sausage and Ziti. The booth we sat down at, I noticed some crumbs on it, but when I brushed them aside, grease started to show. I placed a serviette over the area to avoid getting my dress greasy. It would be great if they wiped the seating down after people's meals as well, if they don't already do so. They provide customers with a large bowl of warm garlic knots that taste a little like feet but start to grow on you with taste and flavor. They also bring out a large over dressed Italian salad immediately after you order. One of the lady waitstaff offered to take away our salad plates, but I opted to keep mine because the salad dressing, even though it was a little much, it was tasty with the garlic knots. Then the lady came back and offered to being me marinara sauce to dip my remaining bread in. I didn't want to get full on bread and tomatoes, so I declined that offer, but it was remarkable how on her game she was that evening. My boo ordered a dish with fettuccine alfredo, chicken parmesan, and meatballs. I ordered the Fired Bricked Chicken. It was very good. We had so much pregame with the knots and salad, that I could only eat half of it. I asked our waiter to take the remnants to go, but he forgot, so we ended up leaving without our leftovers. They have peppermints in a bowl as you exit. There's outdoor seating, overlooking Main St. I didn't visit the restrooms. And there's a bar at the back with more of a hang out area. 1 star lost for poor water service. Happy eats! read more

Had 2 pizza's delivered to hotel. We always do our Christmas Eve dinner with the entire family every year. Good is so good and they always have great specials. This is 1st time for delivery and it arrived hot and delicious. We will definitely doing more delivery from Tonight we had the lasagna as it was to cold to go out. We only got one meal and split it. We had leftover but gotta say it was the absolute best lasagna we have had in a long time. Salad was fresh and crisp and full. 3 garlic rolls that were just delicious.
