    SHORT RIB - AMAZING!
    Lisa T.

We had a tour group that took us to a prix fixe menu here. We got to choose between FISH or SHORT RIB for our mains. The short rib was AMAZING! The dish ABSOLUTELY SUCKED! It tasted bland like water, absolutely NO FLAVOR. However, the dessert was one of the best desserts I had all trip! It was a white chocolate shell and filled with goodness. I'd pass on this restaurant based on the meal I had here with my tour group. Unimpressed.

I ended up having to work dinners with different people scheduled for Alberto's for two days in a row. This check in was for our State dinner with our Maine delegates. We were 15 and made a reservation. The staff was great handling the group so well. The food was great and and in the end we needed 15 separate checks because of our corp cards. No problem. What a great experience and meal. Thank you.

I ordered the tortellini and you can tell it was frozen. There was water on my plate.

Went there tonight I was very disappointed with the food. tasted awful. I ordered the tortellini there was water on my plate. It was probably frozen and they put it in the microwave. This place used to be so good.

We had a free night before continuing our trip the next day. Let's have Italian. I made a last minute reservation on Opentable for party of five. The main entrance is actually located on the left side of the building. We entered and were immediately led to a great table in the main dining room facing the street. Our server came over to ask about drinks or starters. We started with calamari. I asked about the $10 off if checked in on Yelp for dinner for four (we were five). He ran it by the manager and gave the green light. For our dinner entrees- * hubby and I both got the clams, mussels, and calamari fra diavolo over linguine. Plenty of seafood and pasta. I gave some to my daughter. * daughter got the shrimp and scallops florentina over baby spinach * sis and BIL shared mussels and ragu with angel hair pasta. Dinner was perfect. Ingredients were fresh. We enjoyed everything we had. We skipped dessert as we had a huge lunch earlier in the day. Upon completion of dinner we walked back to our hotel at the Doubletree. It took under 15 minutes. Make sure you've got a flashlight even though there's street lights. .

Our server was fabulous. We had a table of eleven people. The restaurant is very nice and even though it seats many it doesn't appear crowded. My friend and I split the Pate, bruschetta and the eggplant.. All were fantastic. Our left overs were packaged up beautifully and bagged. A wonderful meal!

I went for dinner at the bar on a Thursday night and there was a pianist playing. It was at the perfect sound level so you could easily have a conversation. I started with the truffle stuffed gnocchi. The stuffed gnocchi is not made in house. The sauce was delicious and the gnocchi like little soft pillows. The chicken Ala vodka needed more flavor. I had to add crushed red pepper. The grilled veggies for $8 were sliced zucchini, carrots and yellow squash. It was a small serving for $8, but good quality. The desserts are made in house. I had the chocolate trio cake and it was delicious. Layers of white chocolate, dark and milk. The bartenders did a good job managing the bar and side tables. The restaurant has an elegant vibe to it.

We had a wonderful experience here a couple of weeks ago, for my mom's birthday. Reservations are super easy to make, and when we arrived we were seated right away. Our table was in a smaller room, so felt more intimate and quiet, and the restaurant had decorations up, so it looks very festive inside. On to the food, we started with the calamari, which was generously portioned and very tasty. I ordered the pear martini - which was very good (grey goose pear, grapefruit juice, grand marnier and a touch of ginger ale). For entrees, I had the seafood manicotti, which is made with homemade pasta, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops and cheese, with a tomato, mozzarella, and bechamel sauce which was very good. My mom ordered the chicken capri, which was very generously portioned with breaded chicken, shrimp, lobster meat and asparagus, with a brandy pink peppercorn sauce that was very tasty. It was so generously sized, she ended up taking half of it home. Our server was great, and everyone was so friendly. We will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu!

Dined alfresco at Alberto's with my little dog Roo. Chose the prefix menu. Mussels/Scrod/cheesecake for dessert. All delicious!

You don't come for fine dining, you come for "home" cooking done REALLY WELL and served with such care - feels like you are at your favorite cousins house and they cater to you. On my way there to celebrate a 60th birthday, I took a gander at the menu. And it seemed so confusing. VERY. Ecuadorian, Italian and Brazilian... why? This CANT BE RIGHT. But I went along, sat with the birthday boy and his birthday entourage, hung out with his lovely sons, and after the hubby and I struggled with all the wonderfully described offerings. Fried fish, meats - Ecuadorian, Italian or Brazilian. Pizza. Pasta. Rice. LOTS OF RICE DISHES. Beans. Chicharron.., eggs... plantains... OH for the love of stuff we love to eat when we don't want to cook it, but in an ethnic way that grandma didn't teach us, and yet the levels of deliciousness we all have in common across the Latin and Brazilian Americas... My husband went with lamb chops off the Brazillian menu and I ordered the Churrasco Brazileiro. As the plates started arriving to the table we realized that these guys have PORTION ISSUES! SERIOUSLY! An order EASILY feeds two people. The meat, ALL of them were PERFECTLY Rare as ordered! Jasmine rice is fluffy and well cooked. I had beans that were mixed with a "feijoada" kind of situation. I had bites off the meats, leaving more than half and enjoyed ALL the chicarron, beans, rice and a lamb chop off Hubby's plate. The food is fantastic! Not fine dining. Just REALLY GOOD FOOD! Everyone enjoyed their food, and everyone had take home! I, walked away with meat and lamb, thinking about steak and eggs for breakfast in the morning. Our server?! SPECTACULAR! Just loving, caring, professional, friendly. Yes, this is "Latin Style" cafeteria food - cafeteria on steroids style. Delicious. HUGE PORTIONS. Soul Satisfying. I will be back for the HUGE fried seafood plate! And rice and beans!

It was a good place to go out with friends and have some wings, but I wasn't impressed whatsoever. My family and I were on vacation looking for a place to go that's different from Seafood, so we went back to Tap City to give it another shot. It was incredible. It was possibly one of my favorite restaurants I've tried during my vacation. We got a lot of different dishes, so I was able to try a bunch of them. I myself ordered a "build your own" Pizza. I got Hot Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. It was a very good size for the amount of money you spend. It was delicious. The sauce was amazing, the cheese blend was good and the toppings were both fresh! The crust was a bit soggy however. It was fine, it just was a bit floppy. I tried the Brussel Sprout appetizer and it may have been the best thing on the menu. They were addictive. I could've just ordered those and have been satisfied. I tried the Chicken Tenders and they were alright, but you could tell they are frozen and not homemade. The Fries were good, but just normal fries you'd expect at a bar and grille. Although I personally didn't try it, one of the guests I was with was in love with the Hamburger. This place is a must stop on your vacation if you're looking for a break from Seafood. It has a nice atmosphere and has been packed every time I've walked by. So why am I only giving this a four? Our waitress was not good. She had zero emotion and looked like she wanted to be anywhere other than at her job. I waited 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink because she never checked on us until we finished our food. The service at Tap City Grille should be improved.
