I recently visited the Loft. I've heard of the place from the locals. I went on a night when it was a slow. There was two gentleman on stage wrapping it up. I had a stuffed mushroom. Was okay. We just stayed at The Cove and after 3 stays- I finally made it to The Loft for a Drink! 7 adults on a Sunday night at 5pm and we could not get a seat at the bar! Good for them! There was a band playing some older song but not songs I was terribly familiar with (and I know a lot of oldies.) 4 women dancing. Get it ladies! I had their Blueberry lemonade. I have had this drink at a few places but it's never been served to me as the color of a blue topaz! I have to say it wasn't the best I have ever had. It wasn't to lemony or too blueberry. It was more liquor which I don't appreciate. Cool ambiance. I could also see my room from the restaurant and let me keep an eye on my kids (I let my older child babysit and it's a relief being able to keep a close eye!) I'm so glad this place was open after 9:30pm on Friday. I don't know where the host was, but a waiter jumped behind the stand to take my take-out order. He couldn't get my credit cards to run for some reason, so I paid cash. The Cheese Flat Bread (pizza) was pretty small but good enough! My daughter said her Caesar Salad was OK. They gave us utensils, as promised. Took 15 minutes to get out of the kitchen, which was fine. The place was HOPPING... bar was full and some tables were still being served. My wife and I are staying at The Cove and we decided to have dinner at The Loft. My wife had the vegetable lasagna and I had chicken marsala with penne pasta. Chicken Marsala is one of my favorite entrees. It absolutely met my expectations and I didn't leave anything on the plate. We both really enjoyed the food. It was very tasty and the server Sara was very helpful. I had a cup of their Clam Chowder. It usually comes in a bowl only but Sara was able to accommodate and give me a cup. We also had the meatballs as an appetizer and they were very good. The red sauce was very flavorful. They had a live band playing some popular country music and also took requests I would definitely make this place a stop if you're hungry and looking for live entertainment. read more

This is definitely a place for the locals and not for anybody who's coming in as a tourist. The food is basic but good. I got a hamburger. It was a little overcooked, even though I asked for medium well, it was still a little crunchy or than I would like to have. It was a little bit on the smaller side as well. That being said, the coleslaw that came along with it was really good. The staff was incredibly nice. Our drinks were expensive. But I guess that's the new going rate for drinks nowadays. $14 for a local punch style alcoholic beverage in a regulation size glass? Very expensive in my eyes. That's like Boston or New York prices, and we were in a local restaurant on the Cape. I like the set up at the place. It wasn't too loud wasn't too quiet just right. Big bar in the middle as well. We came here to watch entertainment that night, but apparently, they had a conflict and never showed up. Even after notifying the management. The only thing I would like to say? The management should've said something to the patrons who were there. We sort of heard about it by the end of the night when we were ready to leave. Would be back. When we go back down the Cape? Love this place. Located upstairs at the Cove. I visit the Cove several times a year and love the Loft. They always have great bands/entertainment on the weekends. Kevin and Kathy are the best, they are always welcoming and there to make sure having a great time. The food is always great. Was just there this weekend with a group of friends and everyone loves the food they ordered. I had the chicken parm the first night which was great and the meatball sub the second night which was the bomb! The place is modern, always decorated nicely, great size dance floor and very clean. We are staying in the attached resort and decided to check out the Wednesday Couple's Dinner, in which you got two entrees off a select list, an appetizer and a dessert for $39.99. My wife and I plus our kid are vacationing with my Mom and her boyfriend, so we had a few different opinions to draw from. Both groups got the couples special and our daughter got the kid's Pizza. We got there right before 5 p.m. and were promptly seated. It was the week before Memorial day and the place was deserted. We were the third group (two other couples there before us). The restaurant looked nice enough and we were promptly seated and orders taken. Appetizers took 30+ minutes to hit our table. The restaurant wasn't slam packed (we were the largest group as a 5 top, three other couples and (2) solo diners completed the roundup so the front and back of the house should have had an easy service..) and we started making jokes about going back to our rooms to drink some beer and leaving a food watch to text the group when it arrived. During this time we overheard a server tell a table next to us that they had run out of fresh bread... Between the two groups for appetizers we got the coconut fried shrimp with orange marmalade sauce, calamari with marinara, and an extra pizza appetizer since apps were half off from 4pm to 6pm. They served the coconut shrimp with no sauce. We asked for the marmalade sauce and they brought some sort of orange (colored) spicy mayo sauce. Confused, we asked a server what was going on and they admitted they didn't have any marmalade sauce so they subbed it out. Which is weird, because the special was printed and unlaminated on normal copier paper so why not change it (or tell us?). Shrimp were on the small side. Appetizer pizza was good but the pepperonis were the size of softballs which was weird. After we ate the appetizers, the main course quickly followed. The meals (no variety here, 2 orders of fish and chips, 2 orders of mozzarella and sausage stuffed chicken) arrived along with our child's pepperoni pizza (identical to the appetizer pizza). The fish and chips were served with tartar sauce and our table quickly requested cocktail sauce - a common substitute, especially for a place that features shrimp cocktail on the menu. What came out was not cocktail sauce, despite the insistence by the restaurant staff that it was.. there was no kick of horseradish, only a cloying sweet almost marinara-like substance. The fish had a good breading and fry on it, they were OK. Coleslaw was universally judged to be terrible. The stuffed chicken had a side of mashed potatoes and fresh squash, zucchini and onions. The veggies were decent but the portions of chicken and mash were anemic. The mashed potatoes were underseasoned for my taste. We chose the chocolate cream pie for dessert. It appeared very much to be a thawed frozen variety and was only decent. Bill came out to be $100, which is cheap for 4.5 people on Cape Cod but no one said they would ever give the place a second chance. Everything was mediocre at best. I saw others complaining about having issues redeeming the Yelp 10% off coupon, so I just didn't even bother. Maybe they ramp up service for prime time, but I would hate to come here when they're busy during season - I can't imagine how long the food would take! Dine at your own risk of you're willing to play condiment roulette. Edit: Almost forgot! Got a styrofoam to go box for left over pizza and don't find out till we walked back to the room that they had randomly stopped it shut. Never in my life lol. read more

I had very good service, our waitress Sara was very nice. Since we were practically the only people in the restaurant the waitress catered to our every need. The restaurant was overall very clean but I thought it was weird that you can hear/ see the pool while eating. The drinks and stuffed manicotti were delicious however we had to send the vegetable risotto back because it was under cooked. This was not something I do often and was very disappointed to receive it undercooked a second time. If you were staying at the Cove Im not sure I would recommend it. read more

They are OK. I am not a major fan of them even though we did love our stay at the Cove. The Loft is upscale with a capital U. It is the type of place you might feel odd walking into in a T-shirt and flip flops. They have quite a menu. That being said service is slow and I have not found The Loft to be exceptional. With so many places to eat on the Cape, you do sort of have your pick. It's a little pricey too. However on a rainy day, if you just want to hang out and stay in or on a day when you are just using one of their pools (I love their pools) it might come in handy. Let me start off by saying. WoW. I can't believe what I even just experienced, Honestly still trying to process it all. We went in for a table of 5, with a reservation at 7pm, it is now almost 10PM, after being there for 3 hours. The poor waitress who was great, was running around all on her own, so I really cant blame her there, she was nice. Had a live band which turned out to be okay. What was not okay was the overly drunk patron falling down and causing a scene. Now, Mid dinner rush, on a Saturday night multiple ceiling tiles began to leak and fill with water. They had a repair man come in the middle of a dinner rush, take the ceiling tiles out, drop them on the floor, and then clean it up while they moved guests away from the table. Shortly after, they were sitting new guests under an open hole in the ceiling, Doesn't seem very sanitary to me. The Food, Though, Was not nice. Not only did they forget one dish, they tried to cook it fast, and the pasta was crispy, last I checked, Pasta should not be crispy. The person who brought over the dish, Who I Believed to be the manager, Then put his hands on my sister in law, as if they were besties ( Rubbed her shoulder, hand down her side, like WHAT?!)....that was one of the most cringe moments I have ever seen in my life. NOT okay. Not only was the food flavorless, it was cold and soggy. Then, After two and a half hours the bill finally comes. 240$ for a table of 5, with only two alcoholic drinks. Could be somewhat understandable if there wasn't a charge/tax for every little thing. Not only was there a food tax(understandable), There was a Beverage tax, and a 9$ ''Admin Fee''. What on earth is an Admin Fee? That makes zero sense. Admin fee for what? Fixing your broken ceiling tiles? Overall I wouldn't go to this place again if you paid me. The food is over priced, with Unnecessary taxes and fees, charging more for a dessert to add ice cream to it, typically when a lava cake comes with ice cream, they charge an extra $3.50 for a tiny scoop. Not worth the time and money to eat here when there are so many better options on Cape Cod. I would give this 0 Stars if possible. STAY. CLEAR. read more

Well, I guess we're going to have to take it because we were starving. Dinner. Simple. Just a burger, wife got some variation of a chicken sandwich. Waiting...waiting..about an hour later the waitress comes over and says something about overbooking and don't worry it will be out soon. Maybe 10 minutes later it comes out. Wife asks for a water, it never comes. Well, it does come just 30 minutes later when we finished and the waitress was done talking. Food was actually decent, surprisingly . We just want the check at this point. We get it and they charged us 60 dollars over. When my wife talks to the manager about it, and starts explaining the other issues, the manager tells her to calm down. Great times. read more

Three of us came to dinner after a flight and long drive to our hotel. Our server, Keith, was very attentive, which was important since I have complicated dietary restrictions. And even so, there was a miscommunication that required sending back the dinner -- which brought the owner to our table to apologize and explain, and arrange a remade meal for me, one that was safe and quite delicious. All three of us enjoyed our drinks and meals tremendously (the short ribs were particularly good), and my companions were more than satisfied with their creme brulée for dessert. Mounted above The Cove in West Yarmouth is this new spot called The Loft. I work next door at a hotel and was excited to learn there would be a new restaurant opening up above The Cove. Our first visit for takeout was great. One got a chicken parm melt, another got a chicken Cesar wrap and I got a burger. All were delicious and the fries are top notch and worth the visit alone. The beef burger was a fine chuck of beef. The best was yet to come, last night we got a few pizzas while we were at work and they were delicious. Maybe the best in the area? It will without a doubt give DiParma a run for it's money. We got the three cheese blend and a roasted vegetable pizza. They didn't last long at all! This was the worst meals we have had during our entire week vacation. We ordered the baked cod and the mixed grill, which comes with a side of corn on the cob with both. When we picked up our take out order and went up to our room, we saw that we got some over cooked peas and carrots instead of corn. (The green peas were actually brown.) Sadly, the overcooked frozen peas and carrots were the best part of our meals. The cod was so overcooked, tough and tasteless. The mixed grill chicken was so hard, it felt like chewing on leather. Beware that they add automatic tip, which you cannot choose the amount when you take out, plus other fees and taxes. Obviously we expected to pay for taxes, but 25% of the bill was not even to pay for our subpar food. It went to all of the other charges they put on it with out permission. read more

This restaurant just feels so nice and cozy. It's located on the second floor of The Cove and it's just such a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, the host greeted us warmly and immediately sat us down. The waiter introduced himself almost immediately. However, it all went downhill after we ordered our food. We waited for 30-40 min before we got our food and we weren't even notified about when the food was going to come out or why it was taking so long. I could understand if it was busy but there were only 4 tables to wait on besides us. I will admit that the food is good but not great. The risotto was just too cheesy. The 8 oz sirloin filet dinner special that I ordered wasn't easy to cut through but I did enjoy the caramelized onions and mushrooms that were on top of it. But to be frank, I would say that I've definitely had better food so it would be better to browse around for something better since it is a very populated area with many options to choose from. read more

This review is for the outdoor Loft Shack. On a Wednesday night we called ahead to find out how late they served food and we were told 8:30. So we arrived by 8:15. No staff came to take our order and it seemed we were intentionally ignored by staff who wanted to close up. One bartender was engrossed in conversation at the bar and she ignored us; two other staff never made eye contact and were focused on ending their shift and cleaning up apparently. No one approached us to offer a menu, and when I finally got up and approached a waitress, I was told the kitchen was closed. Very rude! I'm very indifferent about the Loft. Maybe it's different in the summertime and we plan on trying it again.. but we had a very, very strange experience there a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. Don't really feel like writing a book but basically the service was atrocious and our food took almost 1.5 hours to come out. Then the waitress lied right in front of us and told her boss that she never heard 3 other people in our group order their meals, when only one pizza came out for 6 people. The manager stepped up and apologized and brought us out some more pizzas that were on the house, but by that point it was 10pm and not everyone at our table could eat carbs, so some people went hungry after they didn't get what they originally ordered. We were also being harassed by other patrons who were drunk, being solicited and given flyers for some religious experience? Very, very strange night... The pizzas we did have were great. The loaded baked potato one was out of this world. The espresso martinis were also amazing. Food and drink wise, this place was on the mark. The band was great too. And the manager did feel bad and was apologetic and tried to make things right. Maybe next time we'll go to the bar area... read more

This review is for The Loft Shack - located by the outdoor pool. The owner, Kevin, was present some of the time and is not only funny and entertaining but also gracious in keeping the place open past normal hours when a crowd of us were enjoying adult beverages with gas firepits surrounded by coaches. The entertainment is a mixed bag. The guitar player on Saturday (5:00 to 6:30) was the best of the lot. The Karaoke on Wednesday is not my idea of entertainment (thou some participants could actually sing). The drinks were a bit over priced but were large enough and strong enough that you didn't have to purchase too many to get to your happy place. The food was actually very good. The stuffed mushrooms, coconut shrimp, both Corned Beef Ruben and Cod Ruben, and the burgers were all on-point. The addition of this to the outdoor area, along with a second pool, was a great idea. I'd like to see this place stay open longer and have entertainment longer. Say hi to Kevin when you visit. read more

I love this restaurant! I live on the Cape year round and I am so happy it's open all year. The manager is great. Our New Years Eve plans got cancelled last minute, I called and spoke to him at the loft, the day before New Years, and he was able to get us in and helped us find a hotel room for night. He is always present in the restaurant making sure everyone is happy. The Grab Brothers Band plays every Sunday at 5pm, which we have gone to many times. The food is really good. In the summer there is outside seating, food and bands, and the service is great as well. This is one of our go to places! read more

I wish I could say the same for the dinner we had on our last night at The Cove. If you are going to try and grill food like fish and make risotto, you should know how to do them right. We had the salmon/veggie risotto and the haddock with pasta. The salmon was overcooked and the that was no risotto. We had to send the haddock back because it was very undercooked. The new one was blackened and smelled VERY fishy. As soon as you opened the box (we took it to go) the smell of fish hit you. Sadly, we both got sick from our dinners. We made a reservation for 2 people for 730pm on an evening when there was live music. We arrived a few minutes early and there was someone at our assigned table. No big deal, we were early. We were sat around 740. The manager was super apologetic. The music was great, the service was great, the food was great. Although the food did take a long time to come out (like an hour), the server was very attentive and kept us up to date. We understand that this was COVID times and the busiest this place has probably been in 14 months. Overall a fantastic experience and we will be back! read more

Having gotten to the area with no particular knowledge of the restaurants nearby, my wife and I saw a sign for The Loft and drove in. It was a hot sunny day, so we decided to eat outdoors, however the umbrellas proved no match for the sun's angle. The waitress moved our table closer to the building where there was some shade and a bit more comfort. We ordered a burger (well done) with American cheese and a fish sandwich. Shortly afterward, the people behind us ordered an Oyster po' boy sandwich and a burger (medium) with Swiss cheese, tomato, grilled onions and mushrooms. The people behind got their food and about 4 minutes later a server brought us the food that the other people had ordered. When I saw a po' boy sandwich with oysters, I immediately knew it was not a fish sandwich. The burger brought to the table had the add ons of the people behind us. They had already started eating the food and when it was brought to their attention they were eating out order, they offered to give it to us because they had "only taken a few bites." Fortunately, the restaurant staff did not do that. They did, however Allow them to finish the wrong food, gave them a discount on their bill, and gave them fresh food akin to what they ordered as takeout after they had finished the wrong food. Meanwhile, they did make me my fish sandwich anew while they scraped off the onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese from the burger replacing it with cold American cheese and a tomato slice. Some onions, mushrooms and cheese were left on the plate as evidence of the scraping. When my wife objected to the tomato and appearance of the plate, the server said, "Well, can't you just take the tomato off?" My wife did, but to this point we had not even gotten silverware or napkins, so there was no place to put it. Finally the impatient server made a snide comment and took the tomato slice. This place is a "sh*t show." We paid full price for a "repurposed cheeseburger" and a fish sandwich I burped for 3 days. I would not send an enemy there to eat. read more

Friendly staff that welcome you like friends who invited you over for dinner. The wait staff are awesome and always handy. The eclectic Menu has something for all tastes. The Calamari were a pleasant change from the usual breaded rings cooked in old oil and served with marinara or remoulade you're probably used to. The Seafood Fra Diavalo was excellent, the perfect touch of spice smothering tender Frutti de Mar over perfectly cooked pasta. My wife and I stopped in here for dinner and had an amazing experience. The owner Kevin greeted us, was friendly, personable and pleasant while he showed us to our table. Our server Alex was also very friendly and happily ran to the bar and back to double check their offerings of scotch and burbon. My wife and I did not know what to order, so we shared a few plates. Each of which was delightful in its own accord. The Clam Chowder was hardy, rustic and wonderful. The fish tacos were light, crisp and bright. The seafood fra diablo was spicy, loaded with seafood and the pasta was cooked very well. We had to round out the meal with a slice of the key lime pie, which was devine. We went on a Saturday night, which even with the bussling crowd we were seated quickly, well attended to and were not crowded or rushed. The was also live music by two lounge singers, who were amusing and entertaining. We look forward to the next time we are in the cape, so we can have another meal here. read more
