Polenta fries

Italian with Brazilian touches! Atmosphere-loved. It's got a lounge vibe. Service-delightful! We sat at the bar because we love to interact with the bartender and other servers. I had two passion fruit capirinas which were everything I hoped they would be. We shared the polenta fries appetizer, loved it. Then we got two twelve inch pizzas....outstanding. Zucchini with crispy garlic i loved for the thinly sliced zucchini and plenty of crispy garlic, light and delicate. And the calabrese which was meaty, zesty, delicious! The crust was crispy/airy and had some black spots that caught, which I love. Too full for dessert, can't wait to go back.

So this is a new restaurant at the end of Main Street in Hyannis they open up a few months ago. The atmosphere is very inviting. On the left side of the restaurant, the table, seating, along with the right side, near the bar area there's a table along with some high tops, and some bar It's an open kitchen so you can watch the cook, preparing the food Service is really good and fast when it comes to getting your meals I've only tried their pasta, Bolognese dish, and it is really good. Not to mention the fresh homemade pasta is excellent and I'm a picky person when it comes to pasta dishes. I highly recommend this place and this is owned by the Brazilian Grill a few doors down

The food was excellent. Top notch- great ingredients, wonderful service, but, it was super loud. Maybe I'm getting old but it was too loud for me. The interior is gorgeous and sparkling clean.

This is a new restaurant to the area, it is very clean inside with beautiful decor and music. It's enjoyable to sit in, and a comfortable space. The staff is kind and very welcoming, I loved the concept of the menu and appreciate the cultural significance as I myself am Brazilian and Italian. The food however was just alright, the bread and polenta fries were delicious and the right crispness and subtle flavors. The soup was great and very light, though the reason it was alright was because after great cocktails and appetizers the Cornish hen we got was salty, charred and dry. The pasta dishes we got weren't what I expected. Overly cheesy white sauce, too much pasta water in their tomato sauce and an over cooked pasta. I didn't try the pizza but it seemed to be a big hit at the other tables. So may need to come back and see if I just ordered the wrong thing by taking the chefs tasting selection.

I would be remiss if I did not give Nonno a review after my wife and I's experience. First, to gather a bit of ethos--and in doing so, explain how I am a snob--I have traveled to 20 countries across Europe, have eaten at Michelin Star restaurants, and have tried diverse cuisine from all corners, and I must say, Nonno not only stands out but is hands-down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Between the atmosphere, the amazing host--and his brilliant playlist--the skillful/talented mixologists behind the bar (Tom and Anderson), and the sweetest waitress, we were just stunned by how perfect everything was. It was our first wedding anniversary, and they made it more memorable than it ever would've been with their hospitality and genuine care. Regarding the food, the octopus was exquisite. There are no words to describe the chef's touch, as they brought perfect balance to the meal in the most unique fashion; so much so that I was genuinely at a loss for words. Again, I have been lucky enough to eat octopus in Malta--where it is a delicacy and the national dish--this dish did not only stay on par with that, but was better than some of those Michelin Star establishments. Between the cocktails, the food, and the service, the experience was brilliant. I will surely be back, as it is now my favorite on this side of the Atlantic, and among the top five restaurants I have ever been to. Well done, Nonno!

Pepperoni Pizza

We visited Nonno's during our annual Cape trip. We'd never heard of this restaurant before, but it was recommended by a local as a good spot to check out for some decent Italian food. After a week of Cod and Clams, we frankly needed a break! We stepped in without reservations on a Friday night without reservations and took a seat at the bar. The crowd varied from early 20s through mid-60s (mostly on the younger side, however) and included both couples and large groups of friends. It was well lit and there were three TVs visible to us where we watched both the Red Sox game as well as the Olympics. We were greeted immediately bar a bartender and offered both food and beverage menus. He introduced himself as Anderson. After reviewing the menus, we ordered a bottle of red wine and a beer and started looking over food options. The menu was recently updated so Anderson had a lot to tell us about many of the food options we asked about since he'd tried them all over the past week. We settled on the Pepperoni Pizza (pictured) and the Penne. Both were fantastic and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed some conversation with the other bar patrons and with Anderson. After a few hours of eating, drinking, and great conversation, we concluded the night with an espresso martini (made with cold brew instead of actual espresso, but still tasty) and called it a night. My only regret is finding this place so late in the week or we certainly would have come more than once.

Small CHICKEN & CATUPIRY PIZZA

Amazing food! We were so happy to stumble upon this place while visiting the area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a Brazilian pizza, frango and catipury as well as a pizza with smoked salmon, gnocchi and pesto and risotto with shrimp and asparagus. The ambiance is was wonderful and food plentiful and delicious

The first time the food was great, and the service was great as well, also the ambiance was Nice quiet, and clean. I highly recommend this place.

All I can say is BEST experience ever ! From the minute we walked in the door we were warmly greeted ! We chose to sit at the bar and were immediately greeted by Anderson the bartender . Anderson was very friendly and truly wanted to be sure our dining experience was top notch ! From our drinks to the amazing homemade focaccia bread we knew it would be a home run right away . As busy as the bar began to fill in , Anderson continued to check in and converse while making sure all our needs were met . I had the chicken piccata per suggestion of Anderson and it was absolutely delicious, we also had a pizza that was equally delicious! The quantity of food required take out boxes leaving plenty for leftovers tomorrow. Anderson made sure to connect with us making us feel as though we knew him for a lifetime ! We will be sure to be visiting him often ! His professionalism and work ethic is truly something that you don't see often these days and it was a breath of fresh air to meet him ! Until next time ! CALABRESE PIZZA 14"

We were in a hotel in the area and ordered pizza to pick up. The pizza is delicious especially if you like the Brazilian style pizza. Was done on time. Next time we will definitely eat there.

When I couldn't decide on a cocktail, Sandra readily recommended the Grapefruit Martini -- it was delicious and totally the right call, Hubby's Tito's Cosmo was also well-made. For dinner, Hubby had the Chicken Parm - it was enormous and delicious, chicken was cooked well and the homemade pasta was a perfect al dente. The sauce was very good, but there was too much cheese for his taste, an easy fix to move to the side. There was plenty to take home for a second meal so it was an even better value. I chose the Spinach Salad, which was fresh and tasty with artichokes and goat cheese. Again, it was a generous portion for a very good price. We rarely indulge in dessert but we were convinced to try the homemade Tiramisu and it was amazing, just the way I make it myself. It's very hard to find a Tiramisu that is so authentic. We absolutely recommend Tumi, based on our experience it would be had to make a bad decision from their menu.

Let me start by saying that they make some of the BEST fried calamari I have had (and I have eaten my weight and hubbys weight in fried calamari in a lifetime!). Their wine list is impressive as are their poisons on the wall of thirst. Service is LOVELY, absolutely LOVELY. And then comes dinner. Old school italo-american, classic mom and pop food. Nothing wrong with that, but it better be better than my own or others (Such as Colombo down the road). My husband ordered the bolognese with their home-made parppadelle. The bolognese needed a couple more (a lot more hours) to cook down, was very acidic and was lacking the punch of creaminess you get from breaking it down with ... MILK... We had high hopes, but the pasta was overcooked and a bit gummy. I had the veal picatta. Veal nice and tender, soggy but tender. The sauce confused me because it was heavy handed on the rosemary. Rosemary overload can be offensive, and while it didn't get there, it almost did. Garlic to a FAULT (yay, thats a GOOD thing), but the capellini pasta was way overcooked, almost baby food consistency on the chew. IM SO SORRY!!!!!!! I wanted to love it, because their focaccia was superb! I have a feeling that maybe a sandwich on that bread would be GREAT for a lunch. Portions are generous, so they are good for sharing or take home. Unfortunately, I tossed the pasta and made a sandwich with the left over veal - yea it was good. The staff is WONDERFUL and are very proud of what they do. So at least come in for appetizers and some really good drinks or a nice glass of wine!

My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.
