I was disappointed my expectations were to high. I read the reviews before we went which helped. Bread basket was the best part of the meal. Presentation to everything was excellent. Do not get the carrot cake huge disappointment. We ordered the break basket 5 out of 5, onion soup3 out of 5, chicken 3 out of 5, USA wagyu 4 out of 5, carrot cake 1 out of 5, key lime pie 3 1/2 out of 5.

The view Pool side at the Diplomat is a dream! Going during sunset was a great move as everyone was out of the pool and the views were top-notch! There are several shareable fresh plates and plenty of delicious cocktails to choose from! Service is very professional and the menu had a wide range of items. This is definitely on the pricey side even for simple things, but you get a high-end experience.

Amazing dinner service at diplomat prime!. Location is perfect for a family dinner Service. loved everything. The attention to detail by the staff. The great selection of steaks. The crab cakes were amazing. The New York strip was delicious and the lobster Mac is wow! Also had the opportunity to taste the Japanese A5 . Amazing experience. Definitely a location to have dinner when staying at the diplomat.

Everything was perfect. Room was spacious and clean. Lots to do in the area. All service was great. Just wish parking and resort fee wasn't so expensive.

Diplomat Prime is the perfect steakhouse to go to if you don't want to leave the hotel. Stayed here for a weekend and was not in the mood to venture out of the hotel for dinner so I made reservations at Prime. I had some alcoholic beverages at the pool during the day and felt lazy so I just wanted to stay in but wanted a good steak. Prime offered exactly what I wanted. The ribeye was BOMB! The truffle potatoes were a perfect pairing for my steak. The patatas bravas were delicious. The ambiance was really nice. Dim lighting. Quiet dinner. Nice tables. I recommend the ribeye. The New York strip was good too. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was a little slow but they cook all steaks to order so maybe that's why things took longer. The bread and butter were delicious too.

We had a terrible experience during our Christmas dinner. We had a 9 PM reservation, but there was no hostess to greet us upon arrival. The bartender had to notify the server of our arrival and we waited until the table was cleaned. When the server finally came to seat us, he didn't greet us, smile, or make any effort to be welcoming. Instead, he made a rude comment that set a negative tone for the evening. Service was painfully slow--we waited a long time just to get menus and place our orders. The server even forgot my drink order. When my steak finally arrived, it was overcooked (well done instead of how I ordered it). I had to send it back, which further delayed the meal. The overall experience was appalling. Sebastian, our server, displayed none of the professionalism or hospitality one would expect in this industry. This ruined what was supposed to be a special Christmas dinner with my parents. We will never return and cannot recommend this restaurant. The only pleasant part of the night was the busser sunny, he was helpful, attentive and friendly and basically the only one that cared.

Solid steakhouse that's inside of The Diplomat. We had an incredible private dinner that was hosted by a vendor in the back room. The service was impeccable (never a time where my water and wine glass were empty). The food came out in a timely manner and everyone raved how good the food was. The striploin was tender and cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach was also very good. Both the chicken and fish were seasoned perfectly and not dry at all. Loved how they offered the chef's duo for dessert--my fave was the crème brûlée. Definitely recommend!

We had a great experience. Great waiter, great food, nice atmosphere. There was a good selection of high end bourbon.

The ambiance is amazing. Our service was outstanding! Dining here during a weekend get away and it did not disappoint. I ordered the scallops served in a white fish cream sauce. Jon ordered the steak which was perfectly cooked. I would have given 5 stars but the lobster Mac was disappointing, we really never tasted any lobster in this dish. We shared the crème brûlée for dessert. I recommend this place if you are wanting a high end dining experience!

My wife and I were staying at The Diplomat in Hollywood Beach the day after Thanksgiving and We made reservations for diplomat prime and it did not disappoint. We started with the grilled octopus and oysters, both were very good. My steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned so good. It was an amazing cut of ribeye. My wife got the fillet and it was cooked perfectly; you could cut it with your fork and melted in your mouth. The sides Were huge and delicious. We got the mushrooms, asparagus, papa bravas. We also got two desserts, which were the chocolate mousse cake and crème brûlée.....AMAZING.

my server suggested and decorated the table with rose pedals

i celebrated a special birthday today and the staff went far and beyond for me without me even asking. my server was the best he even helped me to set up the table to make it a special evening. we had such a wonderful time here . they truly blew us away on how kind and attentive they were to us.

Not a bad steakhouse, if you are looking for one in the area. The food and service were as expected, pretty good. The crab cake was amazing as an appetizer. My BF and I both ordered steaks as the entree. He ordered the filet and I ordered the skirt steak. Both were extremely tender and seasoned very well! Our waiters were amazing and tentative. The only critique would be the time of service. It took us a little over 2 hours to finish dinner. 45 minutes to get our check.

This place is very good but pricey. I would say come here for a special occasion or even a date night. The appetizers were very delicious. Started off with the beef carpaccio, octopus and seafood platter. The seafood platter came with oysters, jumbo shrimp and half a lobster. The octopus, however, was my favorite. It had a bourbon sauce to it that was sweet yet smoky. Very delicious. Decided with the 16oz filet with the truffle crust and a side of chimichurri. The steak was so tender and cooked too perfection. The chimichurri was on the oily side yet very delicious and a compliment to the meat. Ended the night with a New York cheesecake which was very delicious. Not too heavy or creamy. Overall a great place for dinner. I would say that the food did take a while to come out. It may have been because of the amount of food we ordered lol

Both were so good and catered to different palates. I really loved the earl grey one because it came with lychee jelly which was an expected but pleasant surprise. The mango strawberry is a classic and it did not disappoint. The inside was clean and the staff was super nice. They also had cakes here and some specialty Asian desserts. Unfortunately, I will never know if any of it actually tastes good. I have a nut allergy, the kind that in 25 years of living and ice cream in 30+ countries has never once stopped me from ordering. I asked about a specific flavor, was told it contained no nuts, and then was promptly informed I could not order it due to my allergy. After some back and forth I was told the only flavor I could order was vanilla :( I appreciate caution around allergies, I truly do. But most establishments handle this with a standard cross-contamination warning and let the adult with the allergy make an informed decision. As someone who has worked in an ice cream shop (without a problem) it makes me question their food handling and cleanliness... I left without ordering anything. But everyone around seemed to be enjoying the $9 scoops of what I can only assume were life-changing flavors The place looks great. I hope they revisit how they handle allergy disclosures, because I genuinely wanted to love it and I'd like the chance to actually try it someday.
