I have a three year-old lab that cannot go to any groomer. I've tried several the only groomer that she goes to willingly is this family ran business Dippin Dogs. They are by far the best groomer, most compassionate, caring, and trusting groomer that I would ever leave my dog with there is no doubt that you could walk your dog in there, and the dog will be happy to stay and be groomed. I have a multipoo that won't sit still. I have tried giving her haircuts and trimming her nails on my own and have been unsuccessful. Dippin Dog Groomery was able to groom her without leaving cuts like other groomers. They also left her smelling and looking good. This isn't their best work, but the client is difficult. My boyfriend and I had planned a trip to Morro Bay and the night before heading out, our fur baby was sprayed by a skunk! We made it to town and desperately needed a groomers to help us get rid of the smell. I called Dippin Dogs and spoke to Peter. Peter was extremely helpful! He said he had an opening the same day at 4pm, I asked him to please let me know if anything opens up sooner and luckily, it did! Thank you Dippin' Dogs Groomery for helping ensure we had a wonderful experience in Morro Bay! Our fur baby, Bella, got a bunch of tar on her leg and rear end while at the beach. The staff at this facility made room for us right away during an extremely busy day and helped us remove the nasty tar. It's a small town so we wanted to give them a try. We left messages over a couple of weeks trying to make an appointment because they don't answer their phone and that is what their message says to do. We never got a call back. We tried to drop in and talk to someone and they were rude and told us to call. When we told them we had they got their appointment book and made our appointment then. We finally got in and when we picked our dog up from being shaved she had stripes all down the side of her from uneven hair. This is literally the worst dog haircut I have ever seen. Not only would I not recommend this place I would actively tell people not to go here. read more

I am completely mystified by this place. We moved to Morro Bay a few months ago, and so have called them repeatedly to try to get my dog in. I have never had a real human answer the phone, and have left multiple messages, which have not been returned. I guess it could be a sign that they don't have room for new customers, but it's beyond strange that they wouldn't at least return the call as a courtesy to tell me that. This indicates a real lack of regard for customer service, so clearly I will find somewhere else to take care of my dog. Oh well. read more

Great job on my blind, deaf, and very fragile 14-year-old cairn terrier. She took him the same day I checked in as to her availability, and spent about 2.5 hours with him. I am visiting Cambria and took my Olde Englush. Sheepdog Rosie for a hike off trail. When we finished I notice she was covered in burrs. I tried to pull them out but the task was overwhelming. The staff here serviced Rosie immediately upon my arrival and were effective in eliminating 99 % of the burrs while I waited. To top it off they offered the service as a courtesy. I honestly don't know how this place has 5 star reviews. I tried them out twice and both times were bad experiences. When telling them how I wanted my dog cut, I gave a picture and pretty detailed instructions. One of them being to not touch his back paw due to a growth he has and upcoming surgery. They cut that paw anyways and did the COMPLETE opposite of what I asked and with the picture given. It doesn't even look like my dog. Also when picking him up, I walked in to one of the girls yelling at and handling a dog she was grooming in a rough manner. To top it all off, they were extremely rude and unprofessional when I voiced these concerns. Not even an apology. I would 100% not recommend this place to anyone. read more
