Their candles are the little every day luxuries that make our house a home! Perfect spot to get gifts (their wrapping is *chefs kiss*) and items for your home (diffusers, candles, soaps, etc.). I was kind of turned off by the snooty sales associate and his unwillingness to accommodate my request. I came in during the Black Friday sale weekend and they were offering a four piece set with a $150 purchase. I checked the website and lo and behold they were offering a 7 piece sample pouch with the same $150 purchase. I inquired as to why there was a discrepancy, and the sales associate simply said it's because the online store shops from their warehouse, where they can hold more samples, and if I wanted to make my purchase online to get the deal, he would understand. I appreciated the honesty I suppose, those I don't really understand how much space little samples could honestly take up in their drawers. Anyway, I took his advice and purchased my items online. Sad that they weren't willing to even try to match the offer online and would rather lose out on the sale. read more

I am writing this review after purchasing from the store last week. I had to buy a Christmas gift and was running late, so I called the store and spoke to Nayeli Nieto, she was so helpful and so kind and made sure I was able to pick a gift virtually and picked it up an hour later. She had it all packed and ready to go. Really enjoyed the customer service, especially during the holiday season. I've been to Jo Malone at Valley Fair mall (located on the first floor) several times and every time I have left happy with the courteous service and the helpful staff working there. I especially enjoy their Wood Sage and Sea Salt cologne for my husband. It smells amazing on him. They take their time packaging the cologne very nicely and even wrap a nice bow around the box, then spray it with a spritz of cologne which is a very nice touch. I highly recommend visiting Jo Malone Valley fair. There are a lot of different varieties to sample and choose from for yourself or a loved one. Happy shopping. read more

My fiance and I drove to Valley Fair Mall with a mission, and that was to walk out with our wedding day scents. We both love the idea of having a scent to tie our memories to and have decided we would go to Jo Malone London for just that. As soon as we walked in to the boutique we were greeted by Matthew Lam. He was our fragrance stylist during our time there. We were aware of what types of scents we like and Matthew provided us recommendations. I was up first, and I typically like fresh or floral scents. He recommended to me: Poppy & Barley, Frangipani Flower Cologne, and Mimosa & Cardamom. I instantly fell in love with the 2nd and 3rd options. I couldn't decide which one, so I ended up getting both in the 30ml bottles. My fiance tried: Woodsage & Sea Salt. English Oak & Hazelnut, and one more that I didn't catch. He ended up purchasing the Woodsage & Sea Salt. With our purchase in the boutique, they offer complimentary engraving. We got "R&T" engraved on the caps of both our bottles. The whole process was seamless and quick. The packaging of the bottle itself and the bag you leave with creates a positive experience and makes you leave with a smile on your face while smelling amazing. Matthew was very sweet, knowledgable, and amazing at what he does. We highly recommend him and hope to see him again the next time we shop for a scent! read more

This store is almost 1hr from me but i don't mind the drive since there's lots of other shops in mall that I shop at. I've been shopping at this store for almost 2yrs, reason why I come back is the customer service and sales people are great - especially Brenda. I always try to come in when she's working. I brought a close friend of mine into the store to help him shop for his gf's birthday gift and this location did not disappoint! So many different scents and combination of colognes to choose from, both employees were very attentive, but not over whelming, and were able to answer any questions we had. Shout out to Matthew Lam who helped us picked scents and also engrave the perfume caps with the birthday girl's initials! My wife is sensitive to most perfumes. She gets a slight headache if she is wearing it or if someone has too much on. (cool side story--Dita Von Teese was wearing a perfume that my wife liked and it didn't give her a headache--so we asked her and of course, it was a bespoke perfume she had made in France--of course it is its Dita Von Teese you lug nut--but we were in Paris later that year and had some made. It lasted for a while but she eventually ran out and we didn't just pop over to Paris to replace it.) We tried lots of other expensive name-brand perfumes like Burbury, Marc Jacobs, and Tom Ford but they all had a chemical that caused her to have a slight headache. Fast forward to Jo Malone. Similar to the perfume from Paris -- it has a much heavier oil base and only requires one spray to last all day. Whatever other chemical is used in more common perfumes must be the culprit of the headaches. Jo Malone is NOT any more expensive than big brand perfumes--the quality and unique sents are a true treat. Lucky Tip: Be patient, go during a weekday if you want to explore all the options, and have a guided tour of what may be the best perfume/cologne you have ever had. Definitely ask for samples with your purchase. Have your name engraved on the bottle. It's a small store and personalities of the customers and staff can change the experience at a moment's notice. We ended up waiting another 10 minutes at the point of purchase because the Japanese clients and sales associate stepped in and took over the register. We had a junior/new sales rep and she was not able to recommend sents as I had hoped but the manager gave her some guidance and we found additional sents beyond the one my wife came in looking for. Honestly for the price--it's pretty amazing to have someone walk you through the experience of finding a unique sent. They do not match the online offers. The staff will do just about everything they can to make it a great experience but they cannot change the price. We didn't evaluate/try/buy the candles or lotions. read more

I came in Monday and asked for four sample testers, a male Asian employee with light skin helped me and even wrote down the names of the cologne. I had my mother pick her favorite scent which was English Pear and Freesia. I came back Thursday to purchase the bottle. A female employee (I think she's Hispanic) with a very soft cute face happily helped me and carefully packaged the cologne. My mom loves it! read more

I happened upon the store by accident and decided to go inside together with my mom as I had used a few of their scents in the past. I was greeted warmly by Daniel and Jessica and had probably the best customer service I've had in my life. The two went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing time in the store, regardless of purchasing a product or not. We started with a complimentary hand massage in which they use a lotion and perfume of your choice. It felt so luxurious! Daniel was absolutely amazing and spent a long time going through all the fragrances with us, making sure to explain the notes and showing us samples. He was so knowledgeable and had an amazing personality. I ended up purchasing the limited edition English pear and freesia perfume. Daniel wrapped it up so beautifully and made sure to give a good amount of samples as well. I would highly recommend this store to anyone. I sometimes get worried about the uppity nature of valley fair and their stores, but everyone was down to earth here and I left the store with a huge smile on my face. I kept greeting her and said hello but she never responded. She didnt even ask us if we are looking for something specific. We were having a good day and felt upset. I'm not regular a yelp reviewer, but I was absolutely shocked at how rude one of the employees, might have been the manager, was today that I felt the dire need to share my experience. To preface, I came in with my mother to find a gift and the young woman at front was super friendly, this review has no correlation to her! To continue, I was not aware that the perfumes out on the left shelf were for sale and not testers, and was greeted with mad attitude by a male employee who very rudely told us off even after I genuinely apologized multiple times for making such a minuscule mistake. All I did was spritz one of the colognes out on the shelf thinking it was a tester onto the tester papers and boy, I felt like I just dropped a whole bottle of cologne. My mother and I was about to purchase three colognes and instead came out absolutely dumbfounded by such rude service at a "high-end" shop. I don't even expect to be treated nicely as I know firsthand how exhausting retail jobs are, but the least I expect is to not be scolded at like some kindergartener for spraying a cologne thinking it was a tester. I guess he did a good job of deterring customers away! If you're looking to buy Jo Malone I suggest you just go to Sephora or just buy Le Labo Santal! read more
