I purchased a motorized salon chair from DIR Salon Furniture for over $3,000, financed for my business. After about 1.5 years of normal use, it simply stopped working. I reached out in late October 2025. What followed was months of runaround: they had me pay out of pocket for replacement parts and shipping - parts that didn't fix the problem. Then they sent a replacement control box that turned out to be incompatible with my chair. Then they said the correct part would need to be specially ordered from the factory. Since November, I've been given a new timeline every few weeks: 8-10 weeks, then early January, then another 4-8 weeks, now another 5-6 because the part is still "in production". It has been nearly six months with zero resolution. If you're considering purchasing from this company, just know that their after-sales support is extremely slow, parts may not even be compatible with your product, and you may be waiting half a year - or longer - with no end in sight. read more

Horrible customer service. We ordered 4 chairs and covers. The arm covers for the chairs were too short. They told us we put them on wrong. We sent them a video showing them they were too short and measured the arms for them so they could send us the correct ones. They said that they could send someone to inspect the chairs and the covers. They have this chair in their showroom and I suggested they could measure on that. This is a month after we first let them know of the mistake. They wouldn't give us the details of the people coming to "inspect" the chairs so that we could register them to get into the building which is a major network tv studio. They kept asking if they could bypass and just come up. I said no and said I could meet them on the street to exchange the arm covers if they didn't want to go through security. They said no, it's their company policy to come and inspect the chairs. My supervisor had to just order new covers because it wasn't worth the hassle, dealing with them. This company is penny wise, pound foolish and we will never order from them again. read more

Before ordering the Gama Styling Chairs, I confirmed with sales that the gold finish would not be affected if hair products (like bleach) dripped onto it, which is obviously going to happen in a salon. They assured me it would not. When the chairs arrived, I noticed the gold finish on the bases did not match the gold finish on the chair hardware. During the FIRST hair service, a small drop of bleach dripped onto the base and within seconds STRIPPED the gold finish off! I contacted them immediately and requested to return for a refund. They sent me a return shipping label and never mentioned anything about charging me. They refunded me minus the shipping for both trips, which cost me $850 (the cost of more than 2 of the 4 chairs I ordered). BUYER BEWARE they do not stand by their product, nor do they even understand the trouble they caused our salon by sending us defective chairs. I have purchased the Revival 2 LED Desk on 3 separate occasions. I can tell that over time the models had been downgraded to a cheaper construction while the cost to own has went up (currently 1600$). The latest model is absolute garbage with cheap handles, striped bolts on the hardware, hollow doors, and cheap backing. It's advertised as sophisticated and elegant but I can assure you it is not. Our unit also had visible damage from transportation. As I took off the upper shelf, I unfortunately found particle board painted over with high gloss. We talked to the owner for a replacement and were shocked to receive a counter offer for a new unit at discount. If an owner cannot do right by a customer without asking for more money, I figured I might as well let others know about my experience and take my business elsewhere. More damaged than the first desk top. I was told by them that we must have damaged it opening the box. Clearly we didn't and once again they are taking zero responsibility for sending us damaged goods. It's unreal to me that we spent over 2 grand on a damaged desk and they are unwilling to even reimburse us for the $200 shipping and handling. But it is what it is. Purchased a new Nail Table. When it came it was missing screws that I had to purchase on my own so I can actually get my table up. The Nail Vent that sucks up the nail dust and particles, has zero suction! The response I got is look else where for a more powerful vent, "have a look on amazon". This company are shocking in every way! I ordered 9 salon chairs and 9 footrests from them. I was told they would be 4-6 weeks... they were 16 weeks. I had 10 weeks of frustrated phone calls to them. The staff are rude, patronising and just clearly trained to lie at every opportunity. I kept asking for an honest answer but all they kept saying is they are out for deliver. When I said I wanted to cancel my order and would contact my credit card They said it would take 14 days to go back on my credit card so because they were out for deliver is get them quicker than the refund, also I was concerned if I canceled my order I may have to wait with another company too so I stuck it out. One member of staff swore at me and was extremely aggressive almost threatening, the customer care and service level is zero! I shut my salon on two occasions as they were adamant that they were coming on these occasions but they didn't show either time. Eventually they were dumped outside (on a Main Street) with no warning when I had a fully booked salon (plus I was 28 weeks pregnant so had no way of lifting them in without organised help). 2 out of the 9 chairs were faulty and there was no footrests. I then spent the next 4 weeks trying to get replacements and the foot rests. The footrests came and one chair. I then spent a further 2 weeks getting the last replacement chair and it came worse that the original, I called up and said give me a refund for the last chair and come and get it, I sent the photos a number of times to differing numbers but I still haven't had a resolution. If I had the time and energy id take it further but they are just a bunch of cowboys that one day will more than likely get shut down... so please nobody shop with them and this may happen sooner rather than later. I hope this helps someone decide not to use this company so you don't have to go through the stress and loss of earnings that I did. The items are cheaper than some other companies however it isn't worth the hassle and the quality of the not faulty items isn't great either. read more

Very bad quality furniture... we bought our front desk from here... first able we purchased the reception desk before the opening last year in 2018 around February. Our salon opened 2018 April. So by the time we need it to ship out the desk they, sold it for someone else... so they offered us a used one with a few scratch and 20% off... i don't care about the discount i paid for a new one and i wanted to receive the brand new Front desk, we had no choice to take the used one cuz we dont wanted to end up without not having a receptionist desk. We measured the space so we had a limit to find a similar one in 10days. Ok we took the used one we are open not even a year ago and the silver color on top is peeling off... looks disgusting and we are really taking care of it. We paid around 1500$ and after not even one year we are going to trow it out and buy a new one... Shame I could even give this company 1 star. Purchased 22 salon chairs & 5 shampoo units. Nothing but junk. Foot rests cut 4 guest legs & surprised i have not had a lawsuit since one guest received 3 stitches. DIR only commented that they have not had any complaints. Foot rest are very sharp & was told I have to be careful to make sure chair is always lowered so that won't happen . I also own a cosmetology academy with 80 chairs. Try telling a student who is just learning they have to be sure chair is lowered or guest could be cut by foot rest. Shampoo units are nice & massage you while being washed. Remotes to control units are not water proof & continue to go bad along with electrical parts have been nothing been but problems. 2 units stopped working . I wrote a review not long ago & have tried my best working with DIR, however they have refused to help with any issues unless I removed the past review I posted . I had a disgusting experience buying interior fittings, the seller in the store helped to choose the chair mirrors, everything was ordered 2 months before the opening of the salon, what a surprise it was that the delivery was scheduled for Friday and was delivered on Monday, although my repair had not yet been completed and perhaps I could not be in the salon ,the mirrors came all damaged, I immediately contacted the seller to replace them, to which there is still no answer, I ordered black chairs, to which they said that they are not available now, choose others and if you want to solve the problem, call the manager yourself, I called the manager, to which he said deal with the seller ...
