After submitting plans for AC and ductwork in our 2300 sq ft house they sent me an email that they didn't want to do the installation. I asked why and got no response. When I contacted Costco who referred me to them, they finally replied that the job was too big for them. It want a real answer since are house isn't that big and it's a fairly straightforward job. This is my first time dealing with this company we made a call within one hour as a service technician (Joe Jose Alvarez) was out quickly able to pinpoint the problem had a replacement part in van and our air conditioner was back and working to normal standard. What I was impressed with is this company will text you the map location of your advisor (via phone text) as well as a picture and full name so you know who they are. They are very customer service oriented.Their price is reasonable Similar to previous repairs I've had with other companies except they provided much better service and we're on time professional courteous. Terrible, terrible company, please stay away. Don't believe all reviews, they are all relatives or employees. The technicians are okay, not the more qualified, but they all-right. The owner and the office staff are just trying to rip you off every time you call, they do not honor their labor warranty, once your brand new equipment breaks, they try to extra charge you for any visit, even if is to fix they are own mistakes, even if it's under warranty. Do yourself a favor and keep looking, don't believe in radio paid advertising. Always get a second opinion and you'll end up saving have of what they charge. read more

This is a great company. As promised I had total central air replacement within a few hours of calling. They were also extremely helpful in securing a substantial rebate from the Lennox air conditioner company, who made it difficult. They persevered for me. Just had my A/C installed 2 days ago, and it was a great experience! Everyone that I dealt with during the entire process, exhibited the utmost professionalism. Starting with Robin (sales associate at Costco), then Will (who came out to the house to give estimate), and ending with Roberto (installer). Everyone was extremely knowledgable, and just good people. I must admit that they're prices are slightly higher than other companies, however, I now have the "Mercedes Benz" of A/C's (Lennox). It was definitely worth paying a little extra, to have a top of the line unit cooling our home. My wife tracks our FPL bill daily with an online tracker, and we have already seen a substantial reduction in energy consumption. I highly recommend this company for all of your A/C needs. Scammers! Our home unit ac broke down on a Saturday morning, it had air blowing but it wasn't cool. We called them urgently, we were so thankful that we had someone come over on a Saturday! they finally reached us at 10 PM the technician said " I won't charge you because all I can do tonight is clean half the coil so that you have air for the weekend and on Monday I come in properly finish the cleaning. Ok great!!! We paid him $800 for a with a contract worth of service in advance. Monday comes, two different technicians arrive. my AC had been working perfectly all weekend, we were quite comfortable at a 74-77 degrees... until the technicians arrive to do a coil cleaning... then my AC stopped working and now I need a conductor for $$1600. The men creep back into the van to call the other technician and the office and I see them just drive off. Leaving me with out ac and a bill to dispute!!!! Shady! read more

Suffer the brutal South Florida winter with no cold AC? No way! I called Direct Air and they came the same day. They replaced the flux capacitor...Pedro Valdes and Lazaro properly explained to me that the condenser was at fault. A full 2 day test made sure that the part being replaced was the correct one. In 2015 we hired Direct Air as our a/c wasn't working correctly. We were new to Florida and really didn't know who to trust. Foolishly we followed a recommendation from our neighbor. They were able to correct our issue but then..the owner recommended we install a dehumidifier that he happened to have with him. It never seemed to make any difference then..yesterday we had a different hvac company come for a different issue. We were shown that this expensive dehumidifier was simply wired to turn the fan off an on. It truly has no function. Also..used zip ties to decrease the diameter and airflow through the ducts. Unfortunately I had to give a 1 star because Zero stars is not an option. I guess the previous reviews are fake. I called them to ask for an estimate on duct and coil cleaning in a small apartment. The technician came and looked at the unit and counted 10 vents in total and gave me an estimate of $3,150.00. Yes that's the amount. This is a major scam. The technician invented a bunch of technologies on cleaning air with weight and other stupidities. I hope nobody falls for this scam. I did not. read more

Bought a unit from then they installed it and it never worked correctly. Two years later with the same problem and the came in told me I had to purchase a new one after charging $125 and didn't fix anything. Made me wait half a day for someone to come but they never came. I ended up calling another company it turns out I didn't have to buy a new thermostat it was under warranty for 10 years. Direct air was going to charge me $580 for no reason instead of checking it was under warranty. read more

I wish I could give 3.5 stars but I can't. I was pretty happy with Direct Air Conditioning last February when they upgraded and installed my Lenox AC unit. They were prompt, fair priced and did a great job. The unit cooled off the place nicely and lowered my FPL bills by A LOT! I've cared for the unit as per all instructions. Change the AC filter monthly and pour bleach in the line every 4-6 weeks to keep it algae free. Lo and behold the unit starts turning on and off sporadically, so I called the office at 6:45 on a Sunday night. They answered promptly and sent a tech right out. he was there within 30 minutes. Direct Air Conditioning sent an email including a photo of the tech so I'd know who was showing up to my home. The tech arrives and assumes the line needs to be flushed, but when he reaches in and feels the pipe, he says it appears pretty clean. Said that I must have cleared the line with the latest bleach infusion. The tech even wrote on the receipt "A.c no cool due clog drain line. Line was already flush by owner $125 charge plus 30 day warranty" I paid the $125 assuming this fixed whatever was wrong with the unit. The technician left and I switched the AC back on to ON rather than AUTO. Not two minutes after he left the unit began turning on and off again, so I called the company back and the tech showed back up. Now he said it was the AC fan motor and the part is covered under my warranty. He also added that since the unit is less than 18 months old, he was going to speak to the owner about waiving the labor fee. The next day at 11 am I had to call the company to see what was going on with the new fan motor. I was transferred over to Juan who said they had to find the part but it was going to cost me $460 in labor to replace the motor. I needed to have it fixed so I said to go ahead and find the part and call me when they knew what time the repair would happen so I could leave work early and meet them at the house. I asked him if the $125 that I had paid the night before would be deducted from the $460 labor price and he said no because they had to flush the line. Apparently he didn't read the technicians report that the line DIDN'T NEED TO BE FLUSHED. I think it's appalling that they charged the $125. Even the labor price seemed quite high as they were in the house for less than 30 minutes to remove the fan, take the new motor out of the box, replace it into the fan and put it back in the air handler. I hate to think I've been ripped off, but keeping that $125 is really getting under my skin. I've been a home owner for well over 25 years and I've NEVER heard of a diagnosis of a problem being charged if the work is done. So sorry to give a poor rating but $125 is $125. read more

Jose was outstanding in helping get the permit closed. His knowledge of the process with Miami Dade Co. was great. Secondly, I used Direct Air to remove all the old duct work and old AC unit and install new. They gave Superior service and quality of work. All duct work in the whole hose needed to be removed. My house was hit by lightning which knocked out both units. I called them on a Friday evening and they sent a technician within a few hours to fix the issue. Very pleased thus far with Direct Air for the most part. The bottom floor ac did not blow any cold air whatsoever. Will came out, gave estimates on lennox which was out of our range, came back with trane quotes which is what we went with. It bothered me how he had to make a phone call in his van for me to get quotes but it is what it is. They can install the same day but a couple of days later worked best for us and is what we did. They did a very clean install, installed my previous thermostat (and knocked off 40 bucks for not using theirs) and utilized the 60 month no interest credit card they have with Wells Fargo. I was a little suspicious at first bc the credit card agreement does not say anywhere about the 60 month 0% but I received the second statement and it looks to be good! My top unit is working well for the most part, had a problem and called directair, they were able to help me out and do me a favor since I was a client previously. We still had the problem so I called to have Will come out and had to pay 75 dollars visit plus the part and installed it on my own but it is what it is (their price to install a transformer was ridiculous considering it takes 5 minutes). My only problem is Will pushes so hard to replace units. Yes my unit is from 93 and I agree with replacing the bottom but the top still blows out cold air and makes me pretty cold at night. Just needed a new transformer and wiring and its back up and running which is what I did! read more

Luis and Charles were amazing when working on my unit. I had a duct cleaning, coil cleaning and blower cleaning. They explained in detail the services that were going to be provided before beginning the job. They covered all my furniture to ensure that nothing was going to get dirty during the cleaning. As the process went on, they explained step by step what was happening and showed me the before and after pictures of my AC ducts. I had NO idea how filthy my ducts and AC unit actually were. Once they finished the cleaning, they picked up all their materials and swept my house, making it look like no one was even there. I was desperate on Sunday after losing my ac. I saw that direct air had 24/7 service so I called as asked for a service call that I knew would cost $85 but I was desperate since cancer has cost me a lung and it's hard to breath in such heat. The service man was nice, and told me that it appeared I had a very slow leak in the coil and losing freon, but couldn't do a leak test, since there was still freon in the system. I agreed, against my better judgement, and let him add 3 1/2 pounds of freon so that I would have time to decide what to do next and also price new units. The bill was $470 for less than an hours work and just the freon. An hour after he left all the freon leaked out and I was left in the heat. I notified them and they were suppose to call back today to see what they could do. Well, they never called back. I had also sent two messages to their web site that says someone will call back. I've checked the price of the r22 freon and it costs from $20 - $33 a pound so it appears, not only do they not call back or respond to messages from their site, they also are involve in price gouging. My stupidity for expecting such a large company to act in a professional way. Never again. read more
