First time here. Nice big restaurant and it was very clean. Good music playing and it wasn't loud. A lot of seating with 2 large screen tv's. Love the artwork along the wall. The cashier, Matthew greeted me after walking in. He was patient and able to thoroughly answer my questions before ordering. The cook, Miguel, was the only one in the kitchen. Wasn't a long wait to receive my order. About 10 mins maybe. My food was freshly prepared to go. Everything smelled and looked good. And... Everything even tastes good. The Cheesesteak Dog was decent, steak was over cooked and dry, not enough seranos. Not sure what bread they used for my Double Dribble, but it wasn't brioche like the menu photo. Flavor was on the sweeter side, but the bread ruined it for me. DUI Fries has way too much going on, except for sauce, which was lacking. The meats were burnt to a crisp and tasted overly salty. I didn't know Dirt Dog had dipped cheesecake! It was $10 including tax. If you have a sweet tooth, this one's for you .. it was good but a little too sweet for me. I will say. This place is a good place to order from when you're under the influence. Definitely the type of food you crave when you want something heavy. That being said, you shouldn't eat it too often for your longterm health BUTT when you do, the fries are the go to. They don't have the adventurous rattlesnake or rabbit hot dogs that the USC location had, but I prefer the safer more familiar choices. This location is more influenced by the flavor profiles of TRUE LA. Lots of Mexican food, which I LOOOOOOVE. Thank you for being so close by. Overtime, we've tried the elote fries, elote dog, la cheesesteak dog, DUI dog, filthy fries, garlic fries, mango habanero wings, bbq wing, & buffalo wings (maybe more but I can't remember). I am a potato slut & I think it's safe to say all their fries are DELICIOUS. Just make sure you get to eat them ASAP while they're fresh bc cold fries are no longer fries. If you can't eat it right away, make sure you eat it hot or the experience is not the same. & sadly the mango habanero is not spicy at ALL, so don't get them if that's what you're looking for OR you can just dip them in hot sauce too. The service was quick. I usually just come for to go, so nothing really to say about the service. The store interior is also just very LA. I remember when they first opened & they had a DJ busting out loud music. The hand drawn images of all the LA icons would make it perfect to draw outsiders in for photo zones if this store was located in a more touristy spot. I have so many nice things to say about this place, it was the best specialty hot dog I've ever had. Plenty of parking in this location near a plaza. As you walk you walk in you can't help but to notice the beautiful mural on the wall of several hip hop artist, simply amazing. First time coming here so the server was able to answer some questions as we had. The hot dogs are wrapped in bacon, do I need to keep going? So flavorful and juicy! Then you select your combo, I got the Chili Dog which had chorizo chili, bacon bits, onions, cilantro, chipotle aioli and they added some grilled jalapeños. WOW! It was a flavor bomb for sure. There is a pastrami dog, Snoop Dog, House dog, chili dog to name a few. They have fries and corn with various toppings too. Service is quick and the workers are nice. They're not friendly but they're doing their job. The restaurant is loud. The rap music playing is also loud. It is a little difficult to hear what the order taker says. We went to the one on Fig near USC during the pandemic but didn't get a chance to sit inside and eat. When I found out one was closer to me, we jumped at the chance to finally experience what eating at Dirt Dog was like. I ordered the carne asada fries and went for the pastrami dog, while my girlfriend had the chili dog and garlic fries. Every one of them were just as good as I remember. I tried their Figueroa location once before and loved it. So when this spot opened, I knew it was just a matter of time - I was definitely coming through sooner or later! My out-of-towner bestfriend came through for a weekend (business) visit and he mentioned that he wanted to go to Pink's in Los Angeles. We didn't have enough time, so as an alternate, I figure I'd take him here. (Since I haven't been and all!) We were so glad we did! There was a line when we got there which wasn't necessarily a bad thing since it gave us the chance to look at their menu. Everything looked so good that we still hadn't made up our minds by the time we got up front. We both wanted to try their chili dog (no cilanto please!) but I persuaded him to try another so we can try two different dogs at this one visit. He ended up going for Snoop's Dogg. We also got a side of garlic fries and an dirty corn. He went for water to wash it all down and I went for a glass of pineapple juice. (I was warned it wasn't cold yet, but ice was an option at their soda machines.) (I would have gone for beer but it wasn't available just yet.) "Let's go, #86!" Our food got to our table not too long after. GARLIC FRIES: Crispy and garlicky AND they gave a garlic dip on the side, this was seasoned and cooked to perfection! There was nothing wrong with this side, I would highly recommend for anyone to GET THIS! DIRTY CORN: Not a fan of corn, so it was on my friend to eat it all. Which he did. With gusto. He didn't care about the mess that was on his face, he did not play around eating this. It was gone in no time. I can't comment on how it tasted, but him taking it on as quickly as he did is a testament to how good it is. CHILI DOG: Good, but mediocre at best. It was nothing out of the ordinary, it is exactly as I expected. Still delicious, though, but I probably wouldn't get it twice in a row. SNOOP'S DOGG: First bite and I. AM. HOOKED. It is going to be the one I will be getting next time. There was a lot going on all at the same time but all blended well together. The saltiness of the bacon was a good combo to the crisp of the lettuce. The sweet and savory coming from the BBQ sauce was also a great sidekick to each bite. But the star of the show was definitely the dog and the butter toasted lobster bread. If i didn't wanna play nice with my friend, I might have eaten the whole thing. FOOD: 4.5. SERVICE: 5. Service with a smile, food was delivered quickly, friendly overall. VALUE: 5. Worth it! PARKING: Shared with others - it will get busy depending on the time and the day. It's never been an issue, though, more especially if you don't mind walking a teenee bit. OVERALL: 4.75. I also liked the high ceiling open space and the overall cleanliness of the place. It felt welcoming! After putting it off for a long time, I finally made it here. The girl at the counter was very pleasant and didn't try to rush us to place our order. I chose the DUI while my wife ordered the birria tacos. I was surprised that she preferred the tacos here to the ones from Tacos El Goloso since I find those tacos pretty darn slammin' but she said these tacos were milder and suited her tastebuds better. As long as she's happy right? I wasn't as crazy about my choice. The DUI was just too salty. Everything from the pastrami and bacon bits to the dog itself. There wasn't anything to balance out the sodium overload. I was glad I ordered it on the lobster roll though since the larger/thicker bun probably helps keep the ingredients together better than just a plain bun. I think next time I'll go a bit more basic with a house dog or elote dog and see how that works out. The garlic fries with the dip were very good. My highlight though was the churro. It could have been bigger for $3 but horchata whipped cream dip they provide you with is KILLER. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I'm more than willing to try something different next time. I really need to try the dirty corn or esquite next time around to see how they do with that. Parking in this shopping center can be problematic. Not that it's that hard to find a space, unless you're trying to park by the 99 cent store but the problem is this center seems to be the gathering spot for the worst drivers in Gardena. This wasn't my first rodeo here and I can testify that 30% of the drivers here are blind, high, decrepit, or stupid. Be very careful navigating this parking lot. If possible, park closer to the Bruddah's restaurant and avoid the loonies pulling into/out of Starbucks, the Habit, and the 99 cent store. They do not pay attention or they think they always have the right of way. The worst are the old people driving the beat up tanks from the 70s. Beware my friends, beware. read more

I had the DUI Dog and Filthy Fries. My wife tried the Elote Dog. Both were delicious. The portion sizes are a bit deceiving. The dogs are huge. The DUI Dog is covered in Carne Asada, Pastrami, bacon, and other delicious condiments. The Filthy Fries were crispy and were savory. The service was great. Had our order delivered to our table in about 5 minutes. The restaurant vibe was nice. Not a fan of rap/ hip hop, but that's just how this place rolls. Would definitely recommend this place. It was past dinner rush so it was quite empty. We ordered each a different dog and a side of fries. We got our table number and sat at the booth.
