Came late at night and craved tacos, ordered the carnitas and carne asada. Did not disappoint, good size, flavorful didn't feel overly greasy and quick. Really nice quick service sit down with parking right in front.

Service lady was nice, the place is kept clean. Food was pretty good and filling, the meat is flavorful! Only thing is they should put the price upfront on menu, we came in n have to ask for prices for everything, plus it just seems shady without price upfront yk. Our order of torta and 2 muletas came out to $22, a bit pricy but least it was delish. 8/10!

    Small tortilla for the tacos

The establishment is clean and the service is quick. One thing I noticed is that they changed the size of the tortilla for the taco combos. They used to have a regular size tortilla and they changed them for a smaller size tortilla. The following week I ordered a burrito and my bf ordered the asada nachos. Both were good portions for the price. I don't know about their taco plates anymore... I would suggest this place but just know the size of the taco has changed!

I was in the middle of a mid-day weekend errand when hunger pangs kicked it's presence through. It was one of those days I couldn't pick a foodie mood, so I called Hubbers for suggestions. He said since I was on a street taco phase and we couldn't wait for dinner for those street vendors to come out, "Why not try a brick and mortar?" He sent me the link to this place and here I was. And so convenient, I must say, I was only a couple of blocks away. Hubbers had his usual Al pastor tacos. I always go for different ones (carne asada, tripa, chorizo and carnitas on this run.) While waiting, I started gathering their different types of sauces. I noticed they had an habanero type so I grabbed one for Hubbers. Either I'm a slow poke or they work fast because I turns around and my food is good to go! Packaging was great. Food still warm - then again, home isn't that far. Carne asada was tasty. Carnitas had a great crunch. Tripa had a nice chew and very little game aroma. And the chorizo delivered. I just love this kind of variety! Hubbers loved his order as well! FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 3. VALUE: 5. At $2/pop for a brick and mortar?! Score! PARKING: Street and shared private lot. The lot is tight and can get busy (trust, I know this place well, I get my nails done a couple of doors down!) If it's possible, avoid using big cars or trucks through it. OVERALL: 4. My timing was perfect: as I walked out with my goodies, the line was practically out the door. Until we find another brick and mortar who serve their kind of goodies at their price, this'll be our go-to for mid-day taco runs!

Have been coming here for the last decade! Always GREAT food! Consistently high quality and great tasting tacos and quesadillas! Very generous with the meat portions. The carnitas are always delicious and on point! The self serve salsa bar is fresh and good. Friendly service as well.

The tacos here have the flavor of street tacos. I paid $13 for 6 tacos and for a Diet Coke. They have a salsa and condiment bar with fresh onions and cilantro, cucumbers, red and green salsa.you order at the register, give you a number and you pick it up. The service is very fast. And I have never waited too long to get my tacos. They have park bench table and seating here. It is casual dining here. The chicken tacos have full of flavor. Chicken is bland unless you can season it well. I can't eat red meat due to my diet, so I have searched far and wide to find Tacos to fulfill my cravings. If you have a friend or family member who can't eat red meat. Bring them here or get them to go. You can't go wrong.Who doesn't like tacos.

Ended up ordering burritos, tamales, enchiladas, hard and soft shell tacos, etc. - Tamales were the best. Meaty carnitas - burrito was next best. Meaty, not too much filling. I'm from NM so love the wet style. It bugged me that you have to pay extra for Christmas style. Who really likes getting charged for a lick of sauce? How much does that sauce really cost the business? Look, I walked away and I still remember you wanted to charge me some nominal fee for the sauce. I told my friends. Now I'm telling my friends on Yelp. The owner should read up on pricing psychology. He probably doesn't want to be known as the guy who charges for sauce, is my guess. - Chicken taco was a nice size and tasted ok - enchiladas were mid Salsa is only free for the first 2 servings. Even for a table of 4, that bugged me. Again, he's known now as the guy who nickels and dimes. Sigh. Ambiance is dark inside like a pub. It would look more modern and family friendly with more natural light. As most would expect out of a restaurant. We came here during a World Cup game. The game was on. That was a plus We were thinking of coming back to order the family pack. Then no one at home would charge me extra for the salsa. ha!! I read just now in another review that this place charges for hot water. Ok then, the owners is STRIVING to be the nickel and dime people. Yelpers are talking and people are listening. Do yourselves a favor and reverse these dumb pricing practices. You'll never know the business you are losing for the $2 here and $3 there. It's never worth it!

We normally call ahead to order our food, and it'll take roughly 10 - 15 minutes. Service is always solid - the workers are friendly and helpful. We normally get the carne asada/pollo fries and they're awesome. Fries are cooked perfectly (I swear there was a period of time where they coated the fries and that wasn't it, but thankfully they stopped), comes with the usual toppings like guacamole, onions, cilantro, etc. They top it with a hefty amount of juicy meat - both carne asada and pollo options are solid. Recently though I've been straying from fries and getting different dishes like the chicken flautas, enchiladas, and mulitas. Chefs kiss for each one. The rice and beans + salsa combo are also flavorful and pair nicely with the entree.

My plate was loaded, the kind of generous, no‑nonsense serving that tells you they cook with heart, not shortcuts. Every bite had that strictly authentic, home‑style flavor that reminded me of family, childhood mornings, and my grandma throwing down in the kitchen. The spot itself is super casual, eat in or take out, nothing fancy, nothing trying too hard. But honestly, the food and the service are the only "decor" this place needs. The vibe is unfussy, the service is friendly in that "we got you, don't worry" way, and the food comes out fast enough to make your stomach feel seen. Man cause we were craving some Mexican food. The wet burrito was the star of my visit, big, saucy, and exactly the kind of comfort bomb you want from a spot like this. The red sauce had that perfect balance of savory and tangy, and the burrito itself was stuffed generously. Every bite was so good, so delicious! And the tacos.....Fire. The homemade tortillas make all the difference, soft, warm, and with that fresh‑masa aroma that tells you they didn't come from a plastic bag. No... no... no! They hold up beautifully to the fillings without falling apart, and they add this subtle sweetness that elevates everything. Chips and salsa were simple but solid. The chips had a good crunch, and the salsa tasted fresh, bright, and not overly blended, the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're "saving room for the burrito." "Maybe we were just hungry..hungry huh?" The drinks were honestly refreshing as hell. True Mexican style if you're going to complete the meal....que no? The horchata was creamy without being heavy, with that cinnamon sweetness that makes you want to chug it.The agua de Jamaica was tart, floral, and ice‑cold, the kind of drink that instantly cools you down on a hot Gardena afternoon. Cocos Tacos is exactly what a neighborhood Mexican spot should be, casual, comforting, and consistent. If you're in Gardena and want homemade tortillas, a saucy wet burrito, and drinks that actually refresh you, this place deserves a stop.
