Whenever anything has gone awry while I'm away the owner has always called me and managed the issue personally. When one of my dogs had a medical issue while I was out of town, they took him to the urgent care vet and stayed with him the whole time while he got treatment while keeping me updated, then took him back again the next day for his check up. I really appreciate that their "Pet Pals" send an update with photos every time they see the dogs.

A few of the caretakers came to our home a week or so prior to our trip to see our pet care routine, ask questions, etc. During our trip, we received text message updates when they arrived and left, often with pictures of our boys. The only hiccup we had was noticing an interior door left open after they left. We let them know and they returned quickly to close it up before our boys got into something they shouldn't have. They have a great online portal for seeing and paying your bill, adding pictures/information about your home and pets. We will definitely continue to use Stay At Home Pet Services.

For those times, I rely on Happy Paws. I can tell they love what they do, because they are always cheerful whenever we interact: drop-off, pickup, over the phone. They know my dog by name and are always happy to play with him for a moment when he arrives, and give him a couple treats when he has to leave, too. Thy require all dogs to have a temperament test of a few hours before they're allowed to stay, in addition to up-to-date vet records. This really gave me peace of mind to know that all the dogs there have been screened and are safe to be around my most precious puppy. Once that test is done, you can drop off your dog for daycare anytime during business hours; no appointment needed. This flexibility has proven to be a lifesaver for me, and definitely keeps me coming back. They also offer boarding and grooming services, but I have not tried those yet. Well, except nail trimming, because I don't need that headache! They are great! Your doggo will love them!

Owners are very nice. The workers are not caring like blue ridge kennel or even the hospital that took over. Our dog came back dirty and with kennel cough. My wife was appalled at the workers. They didnt care and told her so. The place was closed when she came to pickup the dog even though it was 10am. The dog was dying to go to the bathroom when she got home. He wouldnt eat for days. The worker made a comment about this being just a job. She came a few days in advance to fill out the paperwork. When she checked in the person had no clue and it was the same person. If that is how they treat an owner, I don't want them any where near my dog. So wrong. I was really looking forward to an alternative to other dog daycares. Back to looking again.

At 4.5 stars they also have a higher rating than Allie's. I will be looking into Ruffin' It as a better alternative to Allie's.

They have the opportunity to stay inside or go outside when the weather is nice. The facility they have is very nice on the inside and right off of 71/75. They keep the place spotless and well maintained at all times. If you are looking for proof of this, just check out their Facebook page that they actively use to upload pictures of dogs at their facility. Camp Bow Wow has been a wonderful addition to our weekly routine! I've been bringing Huxley once a…read moreweek for a few months now. If it weren't for CBW he would be crated 8-5pm Monday thru Friday. Now he goes to camp on Wednesday or Thursday and gets to run and play all day, which has made a huge difference in his behavior at home. I love that I can watch Hux play on my phone or computer via the camp's webcams in each room. There's a camp counselor in each room to clean up after the dogs, make sure nothing gets out of hand, and give them a little love. The staff always greets us with a smile and now know Huxley quite well. In addition to weekly camp visits we've boarded Huxley for a night on a few different occasions. Each dog gets their own little room with a cot. I've sent a blanket and his toys to make it more homey for the night. The counselors handle feeding, medicine, etc. They even have grooming services. Huxley is known at his vet's office for hating having his nails trimmed but CBW did a great job with those once too. We love Camp Bow Wow!

We recently moved to the area and we have two adorable dogs who need grooming and boarding. We went through their process of being approved they both passed with flying colors. Next came our first time boarding, we communicated that we wanted our dogs to stay together in the same room. This was ignored and our girls stayed in two different rooms and we sternly communicated to them that this could not happen the next time we boarded. We forgave and moved on since people do make mistakes. We had them groomed a couple times and everything went smoothly until this most recent time. I went to pick up one of our dogs and the receptionist told me a final price for both the daycare and the grooming. Yet, a few a days later I look at my credit card statement and the price charged was over $20 higher than the price I was told. Very confused, we called them asking for an explanation. Their response was that the receptionist must have forgotten to tell me the final cost or I must have misheard her when I was in there or since most of their people know the additional charges that they just don't mention them. Well I am new to the area and I always appreciate transparency and good communication. Their receptionist lacked this and so did the people we talked to on the phone afterwards. Our dogs mean too much to us to work with a company who can't listen to basic instructions or communicate openly and professionally. There are much better options around so my advice is just keep looking instead of going here.
