Service was awesome the 2 ladies were nice...polite and patient. Food was just okay the collard greens had a sweetness to them that threw me off... now the Mac n cheese was good and the jerk chicken. Rice and peas I always feel I need more peas/beans than rice. When you add the jerk sauce it's more of a sweet sauce than spicy that I'm use to. If you like the island sweetness on savory foods you may enjoy it, overall not bad just too sweet for me. Oh and by the way food was also microwaved...

The surprise dirty rice underneath stole the show for me!

I ordered from Dirty Tiff's through GrubHub one evening. It was my 1st time trying them, and let me say that I WILL be back! I ordered the fried shrimp dinner and I selected macaroni and cheese and cabbage for my sides. First and foremost, my food was still piping hot when it arrived - loved that! Typically when you order fried shrimp for delivery, the breading is pale and soggy. That was definitely not the case with Dity Tiff's (as you can see from the photo)! The breading on the shrimp was crispy and well-seasoned. The sides were delicious, too. What I didn't realize is that the meal also came with dirty rice...what a pleasant surprise. The portion was HUGE, so I ate on this meal for about 2 days. As I'm writing this review, I'm thinking about the next time I'll order from them LOL. Let's talk about this Bronzeville gem! A husband-and-wife Black owned business that combines Jamaican and Southern cuisines, this place serves up the food from your childhood. What it lacks in decor and seating (maybe enough room for 10-12 people), it makes up for in Tiffany's genuine demeanor and delicious menu offerings, including turkey chops! As soneone who doesn't eat pork, this alternative is hard to find, and Dirty Tiff's does it perfectly: cooked without being too dry, covered in gravy, and great portions.

This place was great!!!! However, know you on 47th tho. If "looks" are a deciding factor and you stay away you are missing out on a great food experience. I got the Pot Roast with cabbage and Mac and cheese. The MnC is an experience all by itself. My gurl ain't even a MnC lover likes yours truly. BUT SHE ATE ALL OF MY MNC. The pot roast is tender and a touch of flavors that make it worth the wait. The greens were "scorched" but my gurl loved em. The chicken was awesome. Ordered via UberEats and for some reason Uber had to cancel the order after waiting almost an hour due to an issue with the driver. I almost didn't order again due to the delay, but I saw a Tik tok a while ago of this place and really wanted to try their Ox Tails so I decided to give it another shot. I'm very glad I did. They didn't have ox tails on the menu unfortunately, but I ordered a Brown Stew Chicken and Fried Chicken Plate and Banana Pudding. First things first, I was shocked by the amount of food that came with this meal, these plates were stacked and everything was delicious. We could probably eat off these two plates for 3 days. Both dinners came with rice and peas and two sides. The Cabbage and Collard Greens were fantastic and seasoned perfectly. Mac and cheese was the best I have had at any restaurant ever. The Garlic mashed potatoes were pretty good, but not my favorite, I think I would rather double up on the other sides or try the yams instead in the future. The Rice was good, it wasn't what I am used to with Rice and Peas as it was a little sweet, but was still very tasty. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing. The fried chicken was well seasoned and moist, only critique was there was not a lot of crunch. This was probably more due to the time it took to deliver, so I would get it again but only as a dine in option. I haven't even tried the banana pudding bc I'm too full to look at it, but it looks like a winner. Definitely would recommend and I will be ordering again, I will be watching out hoping I see the oxtails or pot roast on the menu soon!

The Food was amazingly delicious. The greens were good and when I found out they had no meat & tasted like that...She earned me as a loyal customer. The food was enough for two.

Everything we have had here is good, and we've tried several items. The jerk chicken, meatloaf, jerk catfish, and fried catfish are all delicious. The spaghetti, cabbage, greens, and rice and beans are delicious as well. One of my absolute faves are the fried green tomatoes. My goodness, they are so good. I only wish there was a cool remoulade dipping sauce for them. The customer service is also very good. I have only ordered through uber eats, and anytime they need to clarify something with my order, or they run out of something, they call me to get it right. Kudos to this establishment for all of the above. UPDATE: Okay....some items can be a bit salty, so be aware of that. I'm ok with salt, but it can be a bit much for some.

I was just walking in the area and found this gem, it's small but it's extremely clean and nice. The lady behind the counter was so kind and helpful, I called for an Uber before I put my order in and she put a rush on it and my food came out hot and fresh!! I got the jerk chicken with greens and Mac and cheese it was delicious and I can't wait to go back, I would recommend anyone to try this place because they are amazing read more

**update*** the owner contacted me and explained she's having a foam lit issue. Very much appreciated. Changing my 1 to a 5 star for the customer service alone! Praying everything works out for this family. Can't wait to taste the food. This would've been my first time here. This place is NEVER opened. I placed a pick up order the other night...on the website...when I arrived they were closed. Called the number on my bank statement and it was the merchant services who said they couldn't help me. I've been calling every day with no answer and unable to leave a message because the voicemail is full. If you've closed down say that!!! read more

The food is very good ( jerk chicken) and sides. The cat fish is flavorful but a little too much char,(CARCINOGENS)... They must clean properly where the floors meets the wall (cove base),as to not Turn- off good pay customers. These simple corrections makes for a more comfortable and pleasant experience. This place was nearby a location I was working at. I must say I was very lucky this was the case. I am a truck driver so most of my food options are garbage while on the road but I did call the restaurant and let them know I was a truck driver they were nice enough to bring my food outside to my truck. This was some of the best catfish of had ever, Let's not forget about the candy yams or the greens as well. While on the phone I was asking them what is good on the menu. They told me everything and so far I can say that was highly accurate I cannot wait to be in the city of Chicago so that I can return to get another bite. I ordered through DoorDash, and to be honest, the food was a little over seasoned for my liking. The catfish had too much seasoning on it. Tiff, where do I start??? This food was SO FLAVORFUL in all different ways. Although a bit dry (it was at 830pm and white meat, in all fairness), the jerk chicken was so flavorful with this wonderful heat and grilled flavor. We also has the rice and peas, yams, and green beans with this entree, which did not disappoint. I had the sides of fried cabbage and the greens. Let me tell you, that fried cabbage was so delicious!!! Tiff send me home with some of their new, jerk chicken sausage to try and report back about. I will be making that this evening, as Tiff makes her chicken spaghetti with chicken sausage. Yummy!!! Can't WAIT to try it for dinner this evening. Tiff's husband is right our of Kingston, so this is authentic jerk with a soul food twist. Truly delicious! Since we live right down the street, we will DEFINITELY be back!!!! The best food I've had in Chicago! Seriously, this meal knocked my socks off. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice & peas, mac & cheese, and fried cabbage. Everything was amazing but especially the mac & cheese! The portions are huge and very reasonably priced. I ordered through GrubHub and Tiff called me personally to verify one of my sides. She was so sweet and I really appreciated that she took the time to call. Don't hesitate to order from here - it's the best Caribbean / soul food you're gonna find. While visiting Chicago, ventured away from The city to this south side eatery. Soul food with a Caribbean touch! We ordered, Jerk fish, fried catfish, jerk chicken and everything was delicious. One of the best Mac n cheese. Owner Tiff came over and offered some great recommendations. Good portion large enough and we had left overs while in our hotel. A friend recently steered me to Dirty Tiff's. And I'm so happy he did. I ordered the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, fried shrimp, steamed cabbage, green beans, and rice and peas. Everything was delicious. My husband said the jerk chicken reminded him of Jamaican vacations and my 3 year just kept saying - more please more please more please. Brown stew chicken is one of my favorite dishes and Dirty Tiff's version did not disappoint. The fried shrimp was perfect - lightly breaded and fried to perfection. And our sides were all nicely seasoned and generous in size. I can't wait to go back to try the beef stew! Check this place out, if not for the food, for the superior customer service. The owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. It's wonderful to meet someone who takes pride in what they do and who values their customers. I will certainly return soon. read more

I have never went to a restaurant and every thing is Good. I was introduced to the restaurant by a co-worker and now we are hooked on this restaurant. Sunday6-23-24 after church I finally stopped by and placed an order. The customer service was great we were given mimosas while we waited for our order. When we got home my cousins and daughter was like Everything was good. This will be my go to restaurant on Sunday especially when I have to go to work afterwords. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, and it's very clean. I was delightfully surprised to discover that indoor dining was available. Ok now to the GOOD STUFF...the food. I ordered a mixed jerk chicken dinner with cabbage. The serving size was plentifully. I had enough food for lunch & dinner. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Man this was some of the best food I've had in a while. It hit all of the spots and then some! I've never had a plate where everything was delicious. I actually was eating and thinking like dang this taste better than my family's food and we can throw down! The portion sizes were great, the food was hot and fresh and the flavor was perfect! My mom and I both had the jerk catfish we shared our sides so we could try a bit of everything. We had the Mac and cheese it was a 10. The yams were fire. The greens and green beans was literally perfect and some of the best I've had. And to top it off the staff was so nice, gracious and just gave off good vibes and energy! I believe she is the owner. I will definitely be back and encourage everything to give them a visit and support this amazing black owned restaurant! read more

We were visiting Chicago and we were looking for a unique place to eat. We weren't so sure when we walked in, but we were pleasantly surprised by a truly delicious meal. We ordered the mixed Jerk chicken, cabbage and garlic mashed potatoes. There was also rice and beans under the chicken. Amazing flavor in every bite! When we got our food, we didn't think we'd eat it all-it was a generous portion. But we ate every single morsel. We had tried pizza, hot dogs and other Chicago specialties. This was by far, the best meal we had. We chatted with the owner and she is truly an amazing person. The food is the best we've ever had anywhere. Truly worth checking out! read more

It was ok but I probably wouldn't go back. I had the jerk white dinner with cabbage and Mac and cheese. The rice and peas had a sweet tomato paste taste which I did not care for. The Mac and cheese had a lunchroom feel to it because it was so yellow like they use Velveeta. Also, the jerk sauce was sweet as well. I'm a more savory person so the food was too sweet for my liking. read more

I noticed there was a steady stream of individuals coming in for carryout. Nevertheless, I had a sit-down so that I could try a few items. I ordered the Belizean appetizer sampler. This came as panades, garnaches, and conch fritters. I liked the panades, which were corn patties stuffed with buffalo fish. They were nice and flavorful. The garnaches reminded me of Venezuelan tostadas. I think that what was a miss for this dish was the drizzle of ketchup. Since I stopped using condiments from grocery stores, the flavor of such tends to ruin dishes for me. I liked the conch fritters. I would order those by the bagful just to have for snacks. My main dish was the stew chicken with rice and beans and a side of plantains. Surprisingly, this was more like baked chicken. There was no hint of cumin, cloves, or garlic. There were no tomatoes. There wasn't a sauce or a gravy. There was flavor, of which I give them that, but the same stew that I've had in Belize and in my Belizean friends' home was not served here. It very well may be that the dish prepared here simply differs from that which I have had before. It wasn't a bad thing. Not everyone prepares every dish the same way.

I don't typically f*** with jerk because a lot of places make it so damn hot spicy. Give me all the spices..I just don't need the heat! This place is DELICIOUS! My fiance and I have only been there twice. The first time we got an order of jerk tacos and jerk chicken alfredo pasta. Thr tacos were so good we god an order to go! Today we came back and it was their first day back open after the holidays. They said they didn't have jerk chicken tacos.. We came from the burbs for the tacos! Tiff went to the store to get taco shells and we waited while they grilled the chicken and made those tacos! That's customer service! We ordered a dozen to go! Two of them didnt make it out the restaurant, lol. And did I mention the portion sizes? Cause this pasta is enough for 2 or 3. Yes, thank you for sharing this restaurant on Tik Tok from my fat food blog. Our first time today and it is AMAZING. I order the smothered chicken dinner with Mac and mashed potatoes. I ordered the jerk white with cabbage and Mac. I also ordered the catfish with yams and Mac and peach cobbler so flavorful the flavors was melting on our tongues. It was AMAZING. Very delicious food at reasonable prices, went here about 3x and saw the owner 2x, it's always nice to see owners is invested in the quality and satisfaction of the service. Also The Southern hospitality is very refreshing to see considering the overall sketchiness of the surrounding strip.
