Excellent recommendation, you smelled the brew before it arrived fully at the table. Stating that the coffee was on point would minimize the cup's perfection!!! Now to the food OMG!!! First DUCK BACON excellent I don't eat pork except bacon. Yes, I'm on the team that bacon is not pork LOL!!! The duck back to was good. I couldn't taste the difference. I hate turkey bacon, EVERY TIME Ive tried turkey bacon, it was tasteless and expensive. The duck bacon was lean and tasty. I highly recommend trying it. Second for me is the biscuit. The biscuit was so good, I sat long enough to know I needed to take one home. I had the catfish, grits and greens. Everything delicious. The catfish was mouth watering. My friend had the peaches' special. First of all, those potatoes called my name!! Delicious. The icing on the cake was the Chef's visit. Trellis or Trillis, I'm from the country, so that's what I heard!! He visited our table, and we shared our delight in the well-prepared meals. One of the best restaurants I've been too in a min. Starbucks snob here. The peach infused coffee was worth every drop. No cream needed. The initial host was interesting but warmed up eventually. The servers were PHENOMENAL!...I'm not exaggerating. Dont give that out very much. She was excellent with her recommendations as well as sending backup if she was not able. And her backup was ALSO great as well. The decorum is simple. My brothers and I sat in a nice booth. I'm glad cuz they put all their effort into their food. Enjoyed the Bayou breakfast bowl. On Sundays after Church we do brunch! After church we decided to stop here and try it out as it has been on my list for a while. When we walked in we were greeted and was told it would be a wait which was fine with us. The ambiance gave diner vibes and I was excited to try the food. When we sat down we took a look at the menu and decided on what to eat. We ordered and it took almost an hour to get our food for it to be cold even though our waitress kept telling us our food was almost ready. We ordered the Peach's Special with Crispy Bacon, Yardbird & Sweet Toast with all wings, Shrimp & Sauce and Side of Cheese Grits, Strawberry Lemonade, and Coke. The Potatoes were very good. I asked for the Bacon to be crispy but it wasn't. The French toast was okay but the wings were bland and had no flavor. I mixed the Shrimp and the grits together and it was okay but not the best. Unlike President Obama I do not think this is a ravingly delicious must try restaurant, BUT the eclectic menu, STUNNINGLY GOOD DUCK BACON, attentive service and warm though a bit dated atmosphere, make this restaurant a place to try. When I asked my mom what she thought of Peach's, she didn't hesitate "10/10." She had woken up craving grits, and after a bit of research, I chose Peach's as the spot for us during our annual mother + daughter trip. We arrived shortly after opening and only waited about five minutes, as there was a couple ahead of us placing a to-go order. Once they were finished, we were greeted warmly, and a gentleman at the bar even walked over to welcome us and show us to our seats. He was kind, friendly, and seemed genuinely excited to have us there. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept. Our server, Tamarra, was outstanding personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and truly happy to be helping us. We ordered the Peach's Special: two eggs with chicken sausage, grits, and pancakes. Our food came out quickly, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. I also tried their peach coffee, which was unique and so good that I plan to order some online. The place is spacious with bright colors. The service was good and our waiter was attentive to our needs. We were able to get seated right away. I got the duck bowl. It was highlighted on the menu as one of the favorites and I wanted to try it since it had duck bacon and I never had it before. In my mind, I thought it would be long strips of bacon. But when I received my dish, I only saw a mound of potatoes with a scrambled egg on top. I had to dig all the way to the bottom of the bowl to only find very tiny bits of duck bacon. Despite them stating on their social media profile that they take reservations (for large parties only) they in fact DO NOT honor said reservations. I made a reservation for a group of 10 three days before our planned visit. We arrive 15 minutes before our "reservation" and we're told that despite our large party having a "reservation" it's still first come first served. So because there were two large parties that were waiting ahead of our arrival, we had to wait over an hour to be seated. So while the server was extremely nice and attentive, and the food was good it was just an okay experience for my party. I strongly suggest that you remove " reservations now open" from your profile and don't accept reservations via phone that won't be honored. read more

I called in an order for pickup during my lunch break and when I got to the restaurant, I decided to dine in as I had enough time and maybe wanted coffee and dessert. When I requested seating, the hostess told me that her wait staff depends on tips and I already have my order and to seat me would be problematic. Please note: there was plenty of seats available. I informed the hostess that anytime a costumer wants to sit in your establishment it is a good thing. After my order arrived the hostess begrudgingly offered me a seat as if she was doing me a favor. I saw Peach's featured on the news, so I've been interested in trying them for a while. I wanted more from this black-owned business in Hyde Park. I understand Peach's is a diner, so my expectations were a little laxer, but I gotta say... it was a mediocre experience. We arrived at 8:50a. It was a slow Wednesday morning, and we were seated immediately. Our food was out by 9:10a. Pros: - They have MANY peach-flavored items, including coffee! (Peach-flavored coffee sounds like a stomach ache. Haha! Just my opinion.) We went with regular black coffee! Lol! - There's hot sauce on each table! Cons: - No salt/pepper shakers on the table (they use packets). - The music is a bit too loud for my liking. If they had a full house, we would've been yelling. I get it; It's a diner. No one did anything wrong. My server was fine. My food was fine. Honestly, it was fine. And that's why I'm giving it 3 stars. MANY would love this straightforward no nonsense diner's approach. This is an update to my last review of Peaches. I never review to harm; I only wanna see businesses grow and make better choices for their customers and overall company. I fell in love with Peach's when they were gaining momentum, and I believe they have the potential to get back there with a committed staff and influential cooks. I am happy to say after suggesting checking out Peach again, the meal and experience were a lot better. It wasn't too long of a wait. My family and I sat at the bar to avoid the 30 min wait, and we were waited on right away. I got my usual French toast and chicken; however, the wings were replaced with boneless chicken breast, which I wasn't expecting or excited about but was seasoned well and good. The food came out as cooked and wasn't long of a wait. My sister got the Salmon Croquettes & Grits and a Happy Biscuit which is always a joy. The peach coffee is still one of my favorites in this city. The wait staff was amicable and attentive, which helped the overall experience. This was a better experience, but I can feel the budget cuts. I want Peach to succeed, and I believe they have a chance if they continue to push out quality experiences. It's not just about the food but how you make people feel. My favorite restaurant, five loaves, shut down over the pandemic, and they were a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant with so much love put into the people and food. I'd wait an hour to experience that. O.M.G I love this place. I came here to support a local business on Juneteenth. This place was comfy with a southern hospitality. I was greeted with warm smiles when I walked inside. I was a little hesitate at first but the host Monquette ease my feelings. I was seated by the window that gave me a nice view of the outside. I'm not a Big fan of anything peachy but let me tell you. The Peach Palmer is the bomb. She let me sample a taste and I was pleased with it. I ordered the catfish, greens, grits and pancakes. Everything was delicious and seasoned with some good flavors. Great customer service. The hostess was exceptional. I went there for lunch and I ordered the fried chicken wings. I sent them back because they had too much hair (feathers, whatever) on them and they were too light. After getting them home, they must have used chickens that were 2 weeks old because those wings were tiny. That wasn't as upsetting as the taste. They were bland, and seemed to be seasoningless! (My own word) Then onto the breakfast bowl...it tasted good, to be fair, but it was 80% potatoes, 10% grease and 10% all the other ingredients like spinach, eggs, etc. Of course I'm exaggerating, but that's how it tasted. Wednesday was our day off and we went to Peaches Restaurant in Bronzville for breakfast. This restaurant is black owned and it had three black young men as the host and as the servers and they were absolutely phenomenal! Well groomed and very professional The service was excellent. The food was delectable. My guy had salmon croquettes, cheese grits and strawberry pancakes. I had French toast with cheese grits and an egg over easy. Everything was absolutely phenomenal!! The service and food was really, really good. Thank you where is for doing a wonderful job.
