Big Night in! My boyfriend never has to ask me what I would like to order for our night in. He knows I would never say no to Disco Cheetah.  My Ultimate Take out Food Disco Cheetah, best tofu I've ever had! Love their choice of rice, salad or fries... I normally go with a combination of veggies and rice. Love the sauces -  Vegan Plum Mayo and Chili Mayo sauces are my favorite! My boyfriend is a huge fan of their KFC and fries! With Chili Chili sauce and Chili Mayo sauce.  Really good value for amazing food! 5 Stars! #YelpsBigNightIn #vancouver #vancityeats #stayin #stayhome #orderin #supportlocal #localbizlove #lvancityfoodies #yelpvancouver

Great value, tasty food, and reasonable portions! I've been to South Korea several times and I honestly have to say that the Korean Fried Chicken served at Disco Cheetah was legit! They serve the chicken with a sticky sweet and spicy sauce over a bed of your basic McCain fries. It comes with lots of Korean Mayo and spices so everything goes really well together. Overall, it was a very filling lunch for $10 and I definitely want to come back to try their rice bowls! FYI, I've seen them at the North Vancouver night market and parked right beside the Vancouver Art Gallery in downtown.

Anything Korean and I'm in. Finally got a chance to try this place out for lunch since it's a food truck and it will be at different locations so be sure to use the Street Food app to track their whereabouts. They've recently been coming to downtown quite a lot so I finally got to try it out on my Food Truck Friday! They were situated next to Tacofino and Mom's Grilled Cheese Truck by the Vancouver Art Gallery and there were at least 10 people in front of me when I went at 1:30pm. I almost opted out for Tacofino since there was barely a line there but one does not change their mind when they're set on eating at a specific food truck on Friday! The Chili Chicken was sold out by the time I got to the truck and the Beef Bulgogi Meatballs were sold out while I was standing in line.... so I had the Pork Galbi Steak burrito which was decently filling with it's variety of veggies and tender juicy pork wrapped in a spinach tortilla. The only down side of this burrito was that the juices from the pork and veggies all trickled down to the bottom of the burrito making the last few bites of the tortilla mushy (which I'm definitely not a fan of) so if you happen to work nearby, I'd suggest bringing it back to the office and cutting it up in half so that there isn't too much mush on either sides! Would definitely come back to try the Beef Bulgogi Meatballs and will probably opt for the rice bowl to avoid the mushy tortilla. You also have the option to choose your level of spice which is Mild, Medium or Spicy. Even if you don't choose the right heat, they've got additional chili sauces you can add on afterwards!

For a moment let's forget that ALL foodcarts in Vancouver are overpriced,... Disco Cheetah was one that I had not heard of before and appeared today as part of what looked like a mini-foodcart festival at Granville and 10th. I asked the owners what they suggest from their limited menu (basically 3 "meat" types that come in 3 forms: Quesedilla, taco, burrito). They said Taco so I could try 2. I like that concept but in today's gourmet taco market that usually means sample sized,... Not so in this case, I received a Korean beef and spicy chicken taco, both on a medium sized flour tortilla and not small at all. The flavours were good and the toppings healthy. Do not be fooled by my photo which makes the tacos seem small,.. they are above average and for $8 for 2, I think the way to go.

First time trying this food truck with my coworkers. We wanted something new other than the usual salad. We ordered from the ritual app. I ordered the fried chicken salad bowl and my coworkers got the fried chicken rice bowl. Really good value! I'm full and I still have 2 big pieces of fried chicken left. The guy who handed me the food was very friendly and the food was ready as soon as I got there. If you want fried chicken, come here.

Disco Cheetah is a Korean-Mexican fusion food truck serving rice bowls, tacos, burritos and grilled cheese qeusadillas using Alberta beef bulgogi, and Fraser Valley chili chicken. They can be found around Vancouver, farmer markets, festivals, and events. For times and location follow Disco Cheetah on Twitter at @yvrDCtaco . Look for the bright yellow truck. You can't miss it! This is a cool concept serving a niche market but one the major issues with me is the flavours get old fast. All tacos have the same combination of toppings which results in everything tasting the same. WHAT WE TRIED: - Vegan Tofu Taco | $5 - BBQ Pork Taco | $5 - Sweet Chili Chicken Taco | $5 - Meatball Taco | $5 - Small Pork Rice Bowl | $6 OVERALL IMPRESSION OF DISCO CHEETAH: Disco Cheetah addresses the niche market of korean style mexician tacos and burritos. One thing that bugs me is the lack of thought on using toppings and sauces that compliment the protein. When I looked at my food I wondered if I got the wrong order because I ordered 4 different tacos but they all looked the same. The flavours became muddled together and hard to tell which protein I was eating. It would be nice to see more thought on using ingredients to compliment the protein. A good example is for them to look at Tako's menu which opened after them. They also serve korean-mexican fusion. Personally I would rather commute to Tako if I'm craving for this type of cuisine. The korean tacos are tastier, and cheaper at Tako too on a regular day. Plus they have happy hour prices. The Good: - Nice that they started the korean-mexican trend in BC The Bad: - Everything tastes the same regardless of what we order.

I love Korean Fried Chicken. I was at the Cherry Blossom Festival and spotted the Disco Cheetah truck. I got the Korean Fried chicken with fries. Six to seven pieces of boneless, deep fried chicken pieces, with a sweet glaze. They also had three sauces to add, a pineapple hot sauce, a garlic mayo, and a kimchi mayo. I like how the chicken is boneless, and it was perfectly crispy, and not overly dressed. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy. The pineapple hot sauce is a must. It's a little sweet, a little spicy. Topped with pickled ginger and green onion, I really liked how everything came together. Would return to try the fried chicken rice bowl!

Tried them out at the shipyard's night market. their lineup was the longest at the food truck area so we couldn't pass by without trying! we tried the K.F.C rice bowl, pulled pork taco, and pulled pork mini burgers for our little one. Though as a Korean who is serious about Korean fried chickens, I dont think I can call their LFc authentic but the dish was tasty. alsowe loved the addition of edamame and red cabbage pickle which made the food instagram worthy(and made the dish look healthier!) the taco was good but i would pass the pulled pork buns next time. definitely worth a try!

Best fried chicken out of a food truck! Delicious sauces packed with flavour. For $11 you can't beat the portion you get. I couldn't finish it all and had some for lunch and dinner.

I had m their chilli chicken salad ($10) today. It tasted very good but didn't have a wow factor. The chicken thighs had a flavourful marinade and sear. It was not v spicy. The veggies were fresh but wish there was a bit more dressing. The egg salad seemed out of place. The ladies working the truck were very nice, polite and smiley. Great for a quick lunch in the middle of downtown.

I don't think you can make a smaller taco, around 4", $9 for two of these

Value: 1/10, $9 for two small tacos Taste: 6/10, Beef - OK, nothing stellar. Chicken - hated it Quality: 7/10, fresh ingredients, reasonable materials Presentation: Its a food truck! Service: 7/10, they were friendly enough, but 20 minutes to get an order placed and filled. Payment: They take cash or credit. If cash, you don't get a receipt. If credit, they use Square, so only electronic receipt, and if you care about personal information and privacy you just lost it. Recommendation: Very disappointing, I would neither recommend nor go back

Two tacos for $9. Beef and chicken

Oh these were yummy! I tried the food cart when it was based at the plaza of nations (downtown Vancouver) food cart night on a Saturday. I don't know why this food truck has never crossed my radar, but it will not be forgotten. Ordered two tacos (2 for $9) and they were the chicken and beef tacos. I tried the beef first - the beef was seasoned (marinated?) and packed with flavour. The chicken was good, but I think had more veggies than I would have liked. Of the two I liked the beef more, but both tacos were jam packed and they do have a good amount of meat in them! I'd try these again.

We ordered a set with gimbap, tteokbokki, and noodles. The gimbap was generously stuffed with colorful vegetables and rice, wrapped tightly in seaweed and sliced nicely, fresh, clean flavors, and perfect for sharing. The tteokbokki had that classic sweet-and-spicy sauce, with chewy rice cakes that really hit the spot (comfort food at its best). The noodles were light but surprisingly satisfying, served warm and simply topped, a great balance alongside the richer, spicy dish. Everything came out neatly on a tray, which made it feel casual and fun, like a cozy quick meal you'd come back to often. Overall, Nomnom Seoul is a great spot for an easy, comforting bite with friends. Simple Korean favorites done well, with good portions and a relaxed vibe. I'd happily return again

I will definitely be back to try their Soondae next time though. Daeji Gukbap 10/10 This boiled bowl of stew was exactly what my upset tummy needed. I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting. The offal is super tender but the star here is definitely the soondae. Pork blood and vermicelli with spices are encased in an intestine casing, making for a unique springy texture.
