Disco taco is legit worth it! My friend and I gave disco taco a try and I loved every bite of the vegan burrito! The waitress was very friendly and offered ideas on menu items. If you want something local and fresh this is the spot to go to!

Going to dinner at Urban Vegan, we noticed this place next door that has tacos and made a note to come back later. It was a few days later we got back here to check it out. Disco Taco is a Mexican restaurant of course. Kind of a tiny place with only a few tables inside. This feels like a taco truck that's actually a restaurant. Best to come here at lunch. It's a little less busy at this time, and gets busier later on. This is important, because if you want to eat inside, there's limited space. Has only a few tables, so most people order carryout. We ate in to get the full experience, and a benefit is dining in gets you complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. Has a nice cozy feel like a bodega. It sadly doesn't have alcohol, so no margaritas. Has Mexican pop, including Jarritos. Tacos are about $3 each, which is a pretty okay price. We got some of the Vegetarian Tacos. Good stuff, full of flavor. These are small, so most people need to get a few for a meal. Good place to get authentic Mexican tacos and food. It's better than it looks. The prices are cheap for some authentic tacos.

Tacos!!! Left to right, Al Pastor tacos is very well seasoned with small pieces of pineapple, so when you bite it it's savory with a hint of sweetness. Other taco is Chicken, also very well seasoned, both come with onions and cilantro. Sour cream is extra. Each taco is $3, which is reasonable for Chicago. We also order French fries listed under the "starters" but 3-4 people can easy share and be satisfied. Place is small, decorated with bright colors and the ambiance is festive with traditional Mexican music. They have hortacha and Jaritos sodas, as well as bottles water and the other usual drinks, sprite, coke, and bottled coke. No dessert is listed on menu. You can hear the sizzle of the grill and the aroma fills the entire space. It's one of these places that because of the size of it, you leave smelling like food. The service was excellent. We'll definitely come back again!

Quick pick up service, and friendly staff. I got the 3 taco dinner and subbed the beans for extra rice plus a cheese quesadilla. Quesadilla was delicious and cheesy. I requested extra salsa verde, which was delightfully spicy! The three taco dinner is able to accommodate up to 3 meat selections, so I chose carne asada, al pastor and chorizo. The al pastor and chorizo, I would pass on. The flavors were pretty lack luster and the meat was a bit dry. The steak was delicious! You are able to order only cilantro and onions as toppings. The rice was very tomatoey and I loved it!

Don't let the questionable 5 star reviews steer you wrong. The only good thing I can say is they do load up the tacos with meat. ..albeit mediocre. I even had to toast my burrito. No one wants raw flour tortilla. I've never dined in, so maybe the reviewers are swayed by sweet owners. I'm sorry, but I wanted tacos. ..this Disco was no party.

Complimentary pork rinds and salsa for dine-in.

Go to any market in Mexico and they'll treat you the exact same. Unfortunately for them their original Southside location is closed due to a fire but they'll be back hopefully soon! My son and daughter both ordered their Birria Tacos, my wife ordered their Quesabirria tacos and I ordered their Tazon Chico of their carnaza Birria of course. It also came with a side of their handmade tortillas. Everything tasted so fresh and the Birria was very delicious. So much flavor in the consome. Ordering the tazon is definitely they way to go here because you get the meat in the consome. But if you wanted meat only, you have the option of ordering their plato instead. Regardless of what you order here, you won't go wrong. Enjoy!

Since it's in the neighborhood definitely want to be cognizant of not being rowdy. I had 2 carne asada steak tacos and a steak quesadilla! Flavors were on point! I ate a taco out of the trunk of my hatchback and had a quarter of the quesadilla...and was stuffed! Took the rest home and had a whole other meal! Fairly quick, tasty, no frills street tacos! Level of sketchy was mild but as in anywhere..when out later, you'll want to be aware of your surroundings.

The lime, cilantro, and onions on each taco are fresh and give so much flavors. The rice and beans that come with the entrees are so good as well. Service is always friendly and efficient. It's 1 pm and you're HUNGRY and want a DRINK. This was our experience walking into Taqueria Primo Chukis. We ordered some very well-priced margaritas, my husband got tacos and I got a chicken burrito. YUMMMM. Great portions (my burrito was huge), simple yet flavorful recipes, and great service. The house salsas were great as well and actually quite spicy. After inhaling our food in record time and declaring this our favorite restaurant of our new neighborhood, only one question remained - was it actually that good, or were we just starving from our move? Don't worry, we put that to the test! We came back with a group on a perfectly normal day and had a spread of enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and flan. Somehow, I think it was even better the second time!! My husband now suggests this spot for any and every meal. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for simple yet delicious mexican food.
